After 24 years of absence and only having to depend on a fan-remake... Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding are ready to walk into the Streets of Rage again... for the fourth time! While details were still scarce, the fact that it was made by the creators of the remake of the Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap was enough to send the fandom into a mass Squee, Especially the old school beat'em up fans.
But what worried the fans is whether the legendary composer Yuzo Koshiro will return, as he's the one who made the series' soundtrack a smash hit. Then Sega and Dotemu revealed that Yuzo Koshiro is back with his partner Motohiro Kawashima and also teamed up with Keiji Yamagishi... Hideki Naganuma... and Yoko Shimomura!! What a crew of composers!!
Later dates also would reveal that Axel and Blaze are not the only playable characters. And one of them... Adam Hunter!! After spending his time as a Distressed Dude and then supporting character in the previous game, Adam's back with a daughter (Cherry) in tow and a lot of newer tricks! Like a Power Geyser-like move!

Sega releases a trailer for the 2023 Game Awards. Halfway through the trailer, it shows off an impressively graphic and colorful JET SET RADIO with skates, DJ, fighting...wait, that's a much more 3d version of STREETS OF RAGE as well! Followed by a 2d SHINOBI, a fully 3d GOLDEN AXE, and a crazy taxi game that can only be CRAZY TAXI! And we know this because the trailer finishes off with six lines to title these games...That's five games "and more" in development! Oh, and let's not forget the Sega Scream at the end.
