Young Justice (2010)

Adaptation Name Change in this series.
  • The Secret Society of Super Villains were called "The Light." In "Revelation," Batman refers to it as "a secret society of supervillains" when he deduces the group's existence, but doesn't know what it's called.
  • Paula Crock is given a Race Lift and as Cheshire is Related in the Adaptation (and pulling a Nom de Mom, according to Word of God), her maiden name is changed from "Brooks" to "Nguyen."
  • A minor one: Lian Harper becomes Lian Nguyen-Harper, using both parents' surnames.
  • Though they never appeared on the show due to having their cameos cut, Word of God claims that Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. would've been known as "Sergeant Marvel" and "Lieutenant Marvel". This effectively sidesteps the issues of Mary Marvel using her real first name and Captain Marvel, Jr. being unable to actually say his codenamenote . When Mary finally appeared in the show as a member of the Sentinels of Magic, after initial plans to use her fell through, her codename is given as Sergeant as a side effect of DC trying to avoid using the Captain Marvel name.
  • Though the other three Canon Foreigner heroes from Super Friends never had their identities revealed, Samurai's name was given as Toshio Eto. Samurai's analogue in Young Justice is a young girl named Asami "Sam" Koizumi.
  • In The Outsiders comics, Halo was originally known as Violet Harper, while "Gabrielle Doe" is an alias. Here it's basically reversed: they're a Quraci born as Gabrielle Daou, but renames themself "Violet Harper" after deciding that That Woman Is Dead.
  • Traci Thirteen’s name is changed to Traci Thurston, while Thirteen is merely her superhero codename.
  • Ma'alefa'ak J'onnz is changed to being named M’comm M’orzz aka Ma'alefa'ak, Miss Martian’s little brother, named for a feared Martian animal. This also overlaps with Related in the Adaptation due to the character originally being Martian Manhunter's brother, and Adaptation Species Change due to becoming a White Martian in the show rather than a Green Martian like the comics.
  • Following from the Arrowverse, Cassandra Savage is either a renamed version of Scandal Savage or an Expy, depending on fan interpretation.
  • The son of Aquaman and Mera has his name changed from Arthur, Jr. to Artur.
  • Mist's real name is Andie rather than Nash, likely an allusion to her predecessor Kyle's alias in the comics "Andy Murphy".
  • Donna Troy is known only as Troia, which was the codename she adopted in the comics after outgrowing the Wonder Girl identity.
  • Orphan's real name is changed from Cassandra Cain to Cassandra Wu-San, as she was raised by Lady Shiva instead of David Cain in this continuity.
  • The Targets miniseries introduces a Hispanic version of Metallo, renamed from John Corben to Juan Cordero.
