->''''My name is Aja Tarron of House Tarron, and I want to tell you a story. It's a good story. It is very lively, with lots of humors and excitements: It begins someplace very, very, very far from here, on an entirely different planet called Akiridion-5... my brother and I were forced to leave our home. We are not like you, but we are like you... and you welcomed us, and your world became our world. We made many, many friends. And together, we embarked on adventures we'll never forget.''''

!!Tropes in this series include:

[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:A-M]]
* TheFifties: Mother's information about Earth is sixty years out of date and based on television and radio. When she disguises the ship it ends up very retro, and the fake parents she creates act like parents from a fifties sitcom who constantly spout old commercials
* AbnormalLimbRotationRange: Lugg, Ricky, and Lucy can rotate their heads 180-360 degrees.
* ActionGirl: Aja is much better in a fight than her brother even though she lacks formal training.
* AGodAmI: [[spoiler:Morando merges with Gaylen's Core in the season 2 finale-- the core of a god who was taken down by another being, Seklos, for being too dangerous. Mornado grows to a huge size and begins an attack on Arcadia, but is ultimately defeated before he can do much with his power.]]
* AlienAmongUs: Now having crashed on Earth, [[FishOutOfWater Aja, Krel and Varvatos have to blend in to a planet they have never heard of or seen before.]] HilarityEnsues.
* AliensOfLondon: Several extraterrestrial characters on the show inexplicably speak with accents you'd expect to hear from people in different countries on Earth.
** Lieutenant Zadra has a noticeable British accent.
** Stuart, another alien living on Earth, also has a pronounced English accent.
** Aja Tarron and her mother Queen Coranda both have Russian accents.
** Krel and Fialkov speak with a Hispanic accent.
** Morando speaks with some kind of unique accent that's hard to tell.
*** Morando's voice actor, Alon Abutbul, has a hybrid accent, due to being an Israeli with French-Algerian and Egyptian ancestry.
* AliensSpeakingEnglish: Krel and Aja are able to speak fluent English, albeit with a flawed understanding of idioms and conflicting accents.
* AliensStealCable: Due to the impracticality of his human disguise, Varvatos briefly takes to staying home and watching television as a form of information gathering.
* AliensStealCattle: The Zeron Brotherhood abducted a cow for some reason, which Steve finds when he ends up on their ship with Aja and Krel.
* AltarDiplomacy: According to the King and Queen, they were both members of royal families at war with each other before they married.
* AmazonChaser: Steve. After [[LoveAtFirstPunch getting his ass thoroughly handed to him]] by Aja, he awingly compares her to an angel.
-->'''Steve:''' ''[internally]'' Whoa! She's like a ninja-kicking angel. I mean, she-- she kicks ninjas, but she's an angel.
* AmuletOfDependency: The human transformations the group uses, in contrast to Stuart's device-based transformation, seem to be dependent on the ship's systems. Spending enough time away from it can cause them to start failing.
* ArbitrarySkepticism: Initially, Tobias does not believe in Elijah's theory of aliens, although he perfectly believes in trolls and wizards.
* ArtisticLicenseLaw: Krel and Aja end up at Arcadia Oaks Highschool because Det. Scott tells them it is illegal for them not to be in school. American schooling is only compulsory until age 16, the average age of a high schooler. Furthermore, it's not illegal for a student of any age to not be in school when in the company of a parent or guardian, which Vex had said he was. Zigzagged in that Vex announces that shortly after trying to lift a shop and a bench, making him look too incompetent to care for them and the kids were just caught shoplifting.
* AscendedExtra: The show's main characters Krel and Aja made their first appearance in the ''Trollhunters'' episode "[[Recap/TrollhuntersS3E9InGoodHands In Good Hands]]", their alien nature alluded to repeatedly but not outright shown.
** Steve Palchuk and Eli Pepperjack have a much greater impact on the story of ''3Below'' than they did in ''Trollhunters''. Steve even gets PromotedToLoveInterest. Most of the Arcadia Oaks High student body and faculty also get increased roles.
** In Season 2, Toby, AAARRRGGHH!!!, Zadra, and Kubrits are given more screentime.
* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: [[spoiler:Morando grows to a huge size once he merges with Gaylen's Core in the season 2 finale. It ultimately takes a cannon powered by the king and queen's royal cores to take him down.]]
* BadassDecay: One Omen unit at the end of season one was a major threat that almost killed all the main characters. The multiple Omen units seen through season two are shown being easily taken out in one on one fights even by humans with baseball bats. Although that doesn't stop them from repairing themselves.
* BaitAndSwitch: A bartender delivers an order to a small Foo Foo, assuming that he is Foo Foo the Small. The tall Foo Foo next to him corrects the error, stating the small one is Foo Foo the Mighty and he is Foo Foo the Small.
* BenevolentAI: Mother, the A.I. in control of the ship the royals use to flee to Earth.
* {{BFG}}: One of an Akiridion serrator's modes, though we've yet to see it fired. It's usually played for laughs with one of the main cast overreacting, and the "target" not even noticing the utterly massive cannon now trained at them. The stun weapons Area 49-B's personnel carry also somewhat count.
* BigBad: General Morando, an evil dictator who took over Akiridion-5 for his own diabolical purposes. As Morando never comes to Earth in the first season, the initial [[TheHeavy main threat]] is the [[BountyHunter Zeron Brotherhood]] [[spoiler:who Morando hired to kill Varvatos' family]], as well as the first of the [=OMEN=] droids Morando remotely pilots in the finale. He becomes the main antagonist proper when he arrives on Earth in the second season.
* BigDamnKiss: In the season 1 finale, as Krel and Pepperjack are fighting goblins, Aja and Steve have their first kiss, complete with SlowMotion and the [[OrbitalKiss camera circling around them]].
-->'''Eli:''' ''[annoyed]'' Don't they need to breathe?
* BittersweetEnding: [[spoiler:The ending of Part 1. While Aja and Krel managed to defeat Morando's new super weapon and save their parents' cores, doing so required great sacrifice. Their ship is damaged beyond repair and Vex has been captured by the Zeron Brotherhood.]]
** [[spoiler:The ending of Part 2 has Morando defeated for good, but Mother, the King, and the Queen had to sacrifice themselves for the heroes to reach that point. Also, while Aja and Krel finally have a way to return home, they go their separate ways with Aja returning to Akiridion-5 to take the throne and Krel staying on Earth with his friends.]]
* BlackSite: Area 49-B, where Stuart's old ship is kept. It's a clear reference to Area 51, is filled with guards dressed in [[HazmatSuit hazmat suit]], and is more defended than Fort Knox.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler:Omen takes control of Mother as well as Ricky and Lucy in the part 1 climax.]]
* BullyingADragon: A Trollgolem encounters Vervatos in his human form in a back alley and ignores the warning given to stand aside or be torn apart. At that precise moment, Varvatos returns to his natural form, grins menacingly and makes good on his threat.
* CallingTheOldManOut: [[spoiler:Seamus give his father a passive-aggressive one once it finally sunk in that his father was driving the unnecessarily bitter rivalry against Krel.]]
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Mother uses body reconfiguration technology to give the Akiridians forms that are often ignored on Earth: a girl, a Latino, and a senior citizen. Problem is, she completely ignores context, so they wind up with siblings with two different accents and drastically different skin colors and an old man repeatedly trying to fight everyone, things that are sure to get them noticed.
* ContinuityNod: Multiple CallBack moments to ''Trollhunters'' in season 2. [[spoiler:Jim and Blinky have reached New Jersey, and make a cameo fighting an unknown enemy in the sewers of Hoboken. Meanwhile, a flashback shows Kanjigar the Courageous and Vendal taking possession of Gaylen's Core from the King and Queen many years ago, with the spirit of Kanjigar helping to guide Aja and Krel right to it-- it's in the now-empty Trollmarket underneath Arcadia.]]
* TheCoup: The exiled General Morando launches his invasion on Akiridion-5 during Krel and Aja's coronation, becoming dictator of the planet. He had a very large force on his side to start with, but needed Lieutenant Zadra's support to get the rest of the military to follow him.
* CrackOhMyBack: A RunningGag that comes with the feebleness of Varvatos' human disguise.
* TheDreaded: The Zeron Brotherhood is feared for ruthless tactics such as bombing an entire station to capture one bounty.
* EnergyBeings: Akiridions have bodies made of hard light, with the essence of their being contained in a life core.
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** When Bertha Flanagan accuses Krel and Aja of being illegal aliens ([[spoiler:though she meant it literally, she knew they were actual aliens]]), Señor Uhl immediately, and rather angrily, comes to their defense and apologizes to them for the trouble. He's happy when Krel and Aja receive their student [=ID=] so they wouldn't have the problem again.
** Mary Wang happily records Krel and Steve's brawl but takes a moment to call out Seamus with disgust when he utters a xenophobic insult.
** Seamus reaches the point where he realizes [[spoiler:just how despicable his father's prejudice is]].
* ExactWords: When ordered to surrender the King and Queen's cores in exchange for the safe return of their children, Vervatos hands over a briefcase to Alpha, telling them there is a King and Queen inside. [[spoiler:when Alpha discovers the cores are not inside, but rather, two chess pieces and a bomb, Vervatos points out, I said "a king and queen, not the king and queen".]]
* FantasticRacism: Colonel Kubritz, the head of Area 49-B, views all aliens as invaders, and will gleefully imprison and experiment on them.
* FastballSpecial: Varvatos throws Luug at a rather unfortunate government alien hunter, who learns the hard way how to become a chewtoy.
* ForcedTransformation: Aja, Krel, and Varvatos' human disguises are applied through a device in the ship. They turn them fully human (with the various weakness and problems that entails), and they cannot remove the disguises themselves. The disguises will fail on their own after twelve hours.
* ForegoneConclusion: Since Aja and Krell having a whole adventure with the ''Trollhunters'' gang in "D'aja Vu" would cause a major ContinuitySnarl, it's probably not much of a surprise that the events end up getting wiped out completely.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: In "Collision Course", Vex bitterly remarks how after the Zerons bombed the Commerce Building on Satallite-9 (an attack that killed Vex's family), the King decided to fortify the planet's defenses instead of allowing the army to hunt down the Zerons. [[spoiler:This was his reason for initially betraying the Tarrons to General Morando by lowering the shields of Akiridion-5.]]
* FramingDevice: The show is actually Aja telling her story to the entire population of Arcardia about how events were set in motion leading up to Morando's attack on the town and his subsequent defeat.
* FullBodyDisguise: The human disguises used by the main characters are a combination of this and ForcedTransformation. The reconfiguration, as it is put, fully turns them into humans with all the aches and pains.
* GalacticConquerer: Morando wants to make Akiridion-5 a galactic superpower with him at the helm.
* GenreShift: ''Trollhunters'' was originally a {{Fantasy}}-{{Adventure}} [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]] narrative based around Arthurian legend. In-contrast, ''3Below'' has a closer focus on ScienceFiction, the lead characters being aliens taking sanctuary on Earth.
* GoingNative: Having been on Earth for decades, Stuart is the only alien present in the show that is fully in-line with Earth culture and can blend in the most effective. He even has a habit of using human idioms and sayings that passes over the Akiridion's heads.
* GoodColorsEvilColors: Morando's forces have red as a contrast to the normal Akiridion blue.
* GroundhogDayLoop: Arcadia gets stuck in one when a troll combines its trickster magic with a piece of Akiridion tech.
* HardLight: The physical forms of the Akiridions, as well as a good portion of their technology.
* HeartDrive: The Akiridions have life cores which contain their entire being. If their physical bodies are destroyed, they can be reformed from the cores. If the cores are destroyed or lose power, they're dead for good.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: The Trollhunters may come off as background characters in this series, though that's mainly due to the fact that they are in the middle of their own adventure. Certain episodes of Season 1 actually take place during Season 3 of Trollhunters, but from Krel and Aja's perspective.
** Season 2 also gives off this vibe after the ''Trollhunters'' finale, with Jim and Blinky making a brief long-distance cameo from New Jersey.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Varvatos Vex goes to his glorious death by crashing his ship into the hijacked mothership to down it, and atone for his betrayal. He doesn't die, but props for effort.]]
** [[spoiler:In "The Big Sleep", Mother sacrifices herself to make sure the stasis chambers remain powered so the King and Queen can continue healing.]]
** [[spoiler:In "A Glorious End, Part 2", the King and Queen, after fully recovering, sacrifice themselves to power the canon to end Morando once and for all.]]
* HopeCrusher: Morando is fully aware of how powerful the hope that the royals will return is, and plans to rub their demise in the populace's face.
* HumanityEnsues: Aja, Krel, and Varvatos' human disguises are more than just holograms. They have all the advantages and disadvantages of being human, from crying to Vex's frail old body.
* IChooseToStay: [[spoiler:At the end of the series, Krel decides to remain on Earth because he wants to stay with all the friends he made there]].
* IdiotBall: Alpha announces the bounty value for delivering the royals while attempting to leave with Krel as his captive, in a room full of bounty hunters. Cue the BarBrawl as every bounty hunter tries to claim Krel as his captive.
* InsignificantLittleBluePlanet: Earth was chosen to be the trio's hiding place because it is the last planet in the known universe that Morando would think to look for them (the other one being sucked into a black hole at the time). Even then MOTHER describes it as a little ball of water and mud "named after dirt". [[spoiler:This is later subverted when it is revealed that Gaylen's core was hidden on Earth by Aja and Krel's parents, having been given to then-Trollhunter Kanjigar the Courageous for safe-keeping. MOTHER even theorizes that they had preprogrammed her to purposefully bring the ship to Earth should the need arise, this being one of the reasons why Earth was made an option in the first place for Aja and Krel in the first place.]]
* InsistentTerminology:
** Aja, Krel, and Vex really don't like being referred to as ''aliens'', they prefer Akiridion.
** Aja isn't a princess, she's a queen in waiting.
* InterspeciesRomance: Aja, an Akiridion warrior princess, and Steve, a kinda normal human teenager are dating.
* KillerRabbit: [[FluffyTheTerrible Foo Foo the Destroyer]] is a robotic rabbit bounty hunter who insists that he is a tough and unstoppable killing machine. It does not help that his hops - his ''hops'' - are accented with a cute bouncing noise. It is later revealed that Foo Foo is the name of their species and there are many of them.
* KillerRobot: Omen, a blank redesigned to be a weapon.
* LaResistance: A resistance movement forms on Akiridion-5 after the royals' escape.
* LogoJoke: In a sequence visually similar to the one used for ''Trollhunters'', an alien device opens up into the shape of the crescent moon and Luug walks out to stand on the moon in place of the boy.
* LoveAtFirstPunch: Steve becomes infatuated with Aja after she beats him up.
* MatchCut: In episode 13, a flashback to Akiridion-5 ends with a shot of Aja and Krel in their alien forms, which cuts to a shot of them in the same positions in their human forms.
* MetronomicManMashing: Alpha receives this beating from Varvatos and another bounty hunter gets it from AAARRRGGHH!!!.
* MorphWeapon: Serrators are weapons that look like protractors in their dormant form, but can generate HardLight constructs. They take on whatever weapon form their wielder desires, from large-bladed swords to blaster rifles and even shields. Other aliens have similar devices, such as Zeron Alpha's version which generates a triple-tipped drill.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: Krel and Aja have four arms each, and while nice, are not to be underestimated. Vex says this is a sign of royalty, as the rest of their race only have two arms.
* MundaneObjectAmazement: Aja happily squeals over all the new things on Earth, including grass and water.
* MundaneSolution: After Varvatos and Zadra unsuccessfully attempt to steal Buster's tractor beam, Krel Tarron simply gives him a ball and Buster releases him.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:N-Z]]
* NobleFugitive: Krel and Aja are royalty on their home planet and are now in hiding in Arcadia, California, along with their bodyguard Vex.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Aliens who die in the series usually do not leave a corpse when they die, with the exceptions being [[spoiler:Zeron Beta and Zeron Omega]].
* NoKillLikeOverkill: The Zerons once bombed an entire civilian building to claim a single bounty.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: Aja becomes very frustrated when it comes to trying to be a normal human, but thanks to a mind reading device from Krel, Aja sees everyone's thoughts and realizes that even ''humans'' have a hard time being normal humans.
* NowOrNeverKiss: When it looks like Arcadia, and most of earth, is going to die in a meteor impact, we cut to various people trying to get their final words in to their loved ones. At the diner Shannon laments that she has "never been kissed" a girl next to her laments that she too has never kissed anyone. The two girls stare at one another for a second, smile, and kiss.
* NumberedHomeworld: Akiridion-5 for Krel, Aja, Varvatos and every other Akiridion.
** In the episode "Moonlight Run", one of the foo-foo mentions epsilon 7
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Morando was content to let bounty hunters hunt the royals through most of season 1 while he strengthen his hold and built superweapons. However, once his attempt with Omen fails to kill them, he decides to head to Earth himself.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: After [[spoiler:Omen takes over the Mothership]], Ricky and Lucy's eyes glow red.
* ReluctantRuler: Aja apparently has a habit of running off and avoiding her duties as princess. The first episode starts with her sneaking off into the city in a hooded robe.
* ReunionVow: Krel is forced to activate the device causing the GroundhogDayLoop to avoid discovery by authorities, thus making it so he and Aja never met Jim and his friends. However, Blinky confidently states that fate will reunite all of them. This is proven true by the fact that they already ''did'' meet in ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}'' in the BackdoorPilot.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: In the first episode the King and Queen lead their troops into battle against Morando while also helping the civilians escape. During the climax Morando tries to demoralize the people of Akiridion-5 by killing the royals live on broadcast. But instead it shows Krel and Aja fighting for their people and inspires the people watching to resist Morando even more.
* RunningGag: Luug likes to play with Varvatos, usually involving him latching onto some body part like a lamprey at the worst possible moment.
* ScienceFantasy: Introduces aliens to the fantasy setting of ''Trollhunters''.
* SciFiWritersHaveNoSenseOfScale: Nana claims she was a spy during the First World War. Assuming she was 20 at the time, that means she is 124 years old.
* SequelHook: During the last few minutes of the final episode [[spoiler:a talking cat wearing glasses appears before Toby, Steve, and Arrgh to tell them that the world is going to end if they don't help him.]] Which is the introduction of the final ''WesternAnimation/TalesOfArcadia'' series, ''Wizards''.
* ShaggyDogStory: Despite 2 seasons waiting for their cores to fully heal, and [[spoiler:Mother sacrificing herself to reinitialize the stasis chamber]], the King and Queen [[spoiler:ultimately sacrifice themselves to power the cannon and finally put an end to Morando.]]
* ShoutOut:
** When we first meet the King and Queen, the Queen is saying [[Film/Madagascar "Smile and wave. Smile and wave"]] also could count as a [[Creator/DreamWorksAnimation company]] MythologyGag.
** Vex, disguised as an old man with a cane, is assisted in crossing the street by a [[ScoutOut girl scout]] trying to earn a badge despite his objections. [[WesternAnimation/{{Up}} Hmm…]]
** Plus, one major villain is named Alpha and has a dog-shaped head and deep voice.
** How the Akiridions are EnergyBeings with a HeartDrive core they can reform from if their bodies are damaged sounds a ''lot'' like the Gems of ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse''.
** Krel makes two blank robots his and Aja's Earth parents. After a while, Aja names one [[Series/ILoveLucy Ricky and the other Lucy]].
** Krel's name is likely a reference to the aliens from ''Film/ForbiddenPlanet''.
** When Zadra and Stuart run through the backyards, Zadra hops over the fences flawlessly while Stuart follows her and crashes into the fences. This is possibly a reference to ''Film/HotFuzz'' where Danny, also played by Nick Frost, does the same thing.
** In Part 2, while [[spoiler:Vex is in a prison]], a guard screams [[Series/ArrestedDevelopment "No Touching"]].
* SigilSpam: The resistance has rings which indicate the wearer is part of the resistance. [[spoiler:This backfires when Morando figures this out and programs his battle robot Omen to recognize the symbol.]]
* SinisterScythe: Zarda's main weapon is a double-edged scythe.
* SimultaneousArcs: Part 1 takes place at the same time as Part 3 of ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}''. The season has several nods to what was happening in the other series, which includes a party while the Trollhunters were at Merlin's cave and the episode where Jim gives Aja and Krel a tour. The Part 1 finale dovetails with the Part 3/series finale of ''Trollhunters''.
* {{SlowLaser}}s: The EnergyWeapons on the spaceships, parking drones and Omen bots all shoot discrete blasts that move slower than light.
* SpiritualSuccessor: The series' premise is identical to ''WesternAnimation/SymBionicTitan'' but without the HumanAliens and HumongousMecha.
* StatusQuoIsGod: [[spoiler:Before their canonical meet, in episode 6 "D'aja Vu", Krel, Aja and the Trollhunters discover each other's secret identities and proceed to team up in order to defeat a troll who has been starting time loops by combining its trickster magic with a piece of Akiridion tech. While they are victorious in the end, they ended up accidentally exposing themselves to various citizens. Krel is forced to set said technology to turn back time, which will result in it self-destructing before the troll can find it, meaning that the events of the episode will have never transpired and neither team will have found out each other's secret identities.]]
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome :
** When Krel formats a couple of blank drones into fake parents, who then behave like manic 1950s stereotypes, Señor Uhl immediately tries to call Child Protective Services because the parents seem psychotic. Aja gets him to back down by explaining that their homeland was taken over in a coup, earning his sympathy and getting him to write off their odd behavior as trauma.
** BrokenMasquerade is deconstructed in "D'aja Vu"; neither the aliens nor Trollhunters are remotely prepared for humans seeing their true forms, including Darci who is Toby's girlfriend, as well as her father who is a cop. It means they are in real danger of being arrested, and as we later find out, sent to a nearly alien warehouse to become lab experiments. [[spoiler:It took the Eternal Night for the authorities to be willing to work with the trolls because a near-apocalypse ends up shifting your legal priorities. And even then, Darci's father admits that people are creating hoaxes to mess with others so he can't take the threat of an alien invasion seriously unless he has proof]].
** The show makes no attempt to hide the racism and discrimination against Krel and Aja, who are disguised as a Latino and a woman. It was actually deliberately invoked by MOTHER when picking their disguises. The main plot of episode 7 centers around Krel, Aja, and Varvatos dealing with a racist bureaucrat who suspects the siblings of being illegal aliens. [[spoiler:[[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] in that the racist bureaucrat in question is really an alien bounty hunter who knows that main characters are literal aliens, but the point still stands]].
** In episode 7, it's brought up that both appeared to have 'dropped out of the sky', due to having no school history or any form of identification. Birdy gives them massive stacks of paperwork to fill out.
** Zadra finds out while undercover that [[spoiler:Varvatos Vex lowered the shields]], thus technically committing treason. [[spoiler:The kids still have to punish him when they find out, and even though he redeems himself thanks to the sentence being an exile, Zadra treats him coldly for a while because she was tortured for several days and saw the royals lose their physical forms]].
** In episode two of season 2 Stuart and the royals need to get to the moon and decide to take his old mostly broken ship. Despite using advanced alien technology the trip still ends up taking about a day and a half. That makes Stuart's ship faster than the Apollo 11 (3 days) but slower than New Horizon (8 hours), currently the fastest manmade object.
** In "Ill Gotten Gains", Toby has to take summer school to make up for the 45 days he missed because of his Trollhunting duties.
---> '''Toby:''' Apparently Trollhunting's not good for your GPA.
* TailorMadePrison: When Colonel Kubriz traps Tronos Madu (an alien with the ability to control and transport himself through electricity), he trapped him in a plastic and glass cell.
* TakeThat: A dart aimed at society in general. Who will fly below society's radar? Girls, Latinos, and the elderly.
* TemptingFate: [[spoiler:At the end of the series, Toby and Steve say they're glad the situation with Morado ended, as it would be hard to top defeating an alien god. Even so, they admit summer is going to be boring now. Then a cat wearing glasses shows up and begins to warn them that the Earth is in danger again…]]
* ThemeNaming: The Zeron Brotherhood members are all named after Greek letters. The wolf is Alpha, the cat is Beta, and the lizard is Omega.
* ThirdPartyStopsAttack: When Steve tries to punch Krel, his fist stops moving mere centimetres away from impact, because Aja has grabbed his arm, then she tosses him at the nearest garbage bin to make sure he understands to back down.
* TronLines: The design is basically ''Tron'' with aliens.
* WholePlotReference: The latter half of ''Dogfight Days of Summer'' is highly reminiscent of Film/TheLastStarfighter.
* YankTheDogsChain: A series-long one. Aja and Krel are using Mother to support their parents in stasis, waiting for their bodies to reform. [[spoiler:Despite some close calls, the king and queen reform… and proceed to sacrifice their cores and lives to stop Morando. Aja and Krel had committed to doing it, and desperately try to convince their parents otherwise. Coranda reassures them this is their choice, and names Aja as the new leader of Akiridion. Cue their bodies fading, for real]].
