''[[https://www.youtube.com/user/FreezeFlame22 FreezeFlame22]]'' is a franchise of [[AnimatedSitcom Sprite-Animated Sitcoms]] created by a British [=YouTuber=] who goes by the same username, [=FreezeFlame22=], and joined the website in July 26, 2013.

It all started in August of 2013 with a show called ''The Koopa Kids'', which took inspiration from [[WebAnimation/Supermarioglitchy4sSuperMario64Bloopers [=SMG4=]]]. Even though ''The Koopa Kids'' had a decent fanbase, [=FreezeFlame22=] grew to dislike his product and decided to cancel the series in 2016. After a brief hiatus, he created a new series known as ''[[ProtagonistTitle Carl]]'', which starred the titular AscendedExtra from ''The Koopa Kids''. Meanwhile, he also created ''Bowser's Koopalings'', originally ''Bowser's Children'', to serve as the ContinuityReboot of ''The Koopa Kids''. In 2019, ''Donkey Kong Island'' was created, being the first installment in the ''[=FreezeFlame22=]'' universe to not take place in the Koopa Kingdom. As of 2022, ''[=FreezeFlame22=]'' released a mini-series titled ''Wars of Frozen Flames'', which goes into detail about the lore of the franchise's universe.

They all follow the misadventures of Nintendo characters, who are given AdaptationExpansion and plenty of HiddenDepths. In addition, each of ''[=FreezeFlame22=]'''s series feature ''[[WorldOfSnark plenty of]]'' [[DeadpanSnarker Deadpan Snarkers]] and have a supply of ReferenceOverdosed.

!!List of series created by [=FreezeFlame22=]
* ''WebAnimation/TheKoopaKids'' (2013 - 2016): Freeze's original series, considered non-canon as of ''Bowser[='=]s Koopalings''.
* ''WebAnimation/{{Carl}}'' (2017 - Present): A SliceOfLife-esque show centering on Carl Mitchell and his family and friends.
* ''WebAnimation/BowsersKoopalings'' (2017 - Present): The DenserAndWackier entry of the [=FF22=] universe, and a ContinuityReboot of ''The Koopa Kids''. It centers on the dysfunctional Koopa family comprising of King Bowser Koopa, his seven adopted children the Koopalings, and his biological son Bowser Jr.
* ''WebAnimation/DonkeyKongIsland'' (2019 - Present): A workplace comedy starring Donkey and Diddy Kong, two brothers who work at the K. Rool Inc. warehouse.
* ''WebAnimation/WarsOfFrozenFlames'' (2022 - Present): A pseudo-historical period drama largely based on the UsefulNotes/WarsOfTheRoses, which details the line of succession to the Koopa throne.

----
!!Tropes shared within the ''[=FreezeFlame22=]'' canon:
* AdaptedOut: Starting with ''Carl'', Mario has never made an appearance in any of the shows, nor has he ever been mentioned outside of occasional titles of his games. Subsequently, Luigi is also absent.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Bowser, King K. Rool, and the Koopa Kingdom as a whole were the primary villains of their home series. In the ''[=FreezeFlame22=]'' continuity, they're not at all evil and are instead protagonists.
* ArtEvolution: At the beginning of the franchise, sprites specifically created for the series looked somewhat rough at best, and rather unappealing at worst, with one of the main examples being some of the background characters in the first two seasons of ''Carl'' or the backgrounds in the first season of ''Bowser's Koopalings'' being plain. Over the time, [=FreezeFlame22=] gained more experience in making sprites, and since then, Popplio Power, Cowabunga and Oatzimir have also made sprites for the series, resulting in much better-looking and expressive characters and very detailed backgrounds and environments.
* AscendedExtra: A few characters, like K. Rool and Carl, originally had a minor role before becoming a major character in another series.
* AlternateContinuity: The lore of ''[=FreezeFlame22=]'' doesn't follow the Nintendo canon, with some exceptions and creative liberties.
* BlandNameProduct:
** Instagoomba for Instagram.
** [=KoopaBook=] for [=FaceBook=].
** Snapchomp for Snapchat.
** [=KoopaTube=] for [=YouTube=].
** [=ShyTunes=] for [=iTunes=]
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Characters will usually make off-hand comments acknowledging the fact that they are inside a sitcom.
* CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot: Anytime you hear a "Maybe if...", you know certain characters would have been hit with this trope in any show.
* {{Crossover}}: With ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'', ''VideoGame/DonkeyKongCountry'', Franchise/{{Kirby}}, and [[EarlyInstallmentWeirdness for a time]], [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Pokémon]].
* FictionalEarth: [[https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/628343832043454465/882397845334933594/unknown.png The map of the continent]] in which the series takes place in is clearly based off Europe, with each kingdom being a FictionalCounterpart [[FantasyCounterpartCulture to real European countries]] (For example, the Koopa Kingdom is a counterpart to the United Kingdom with influence from the United States, the Bohnenkraut Kingdom is one to both Germany and France, and the Marine Kingdom is one to Spain with influence from various Latin-American countries). That said, real-world countries and cities are mentioned in all of the three shows.
* FloatingTimeline: In ''Carl'' and ''Bowser[='=]s Koopalings'', characters acknowledge that time passes, but none of them look any older than when their respective series first started.
* FreudianSlip: At least one character from every show has accidentally slipped out something they do but immediately change the subject to something else.
* InterspeciesRomance: Romantic relationships between two people of different species is a completely normal thing in both the Koopa Kingdom and Kongo Island.
* LegacyCharacter: The reason why there is always one King Dedede in every single Goomburger across the Koopa Kingdom and Kongo Island is because all of them are relatives and descendants of each other whom all take the name of "Dedede".
* NewJobAsThePlotDemands: Clyde Adams in both ''Carl'' and ''Bowser's Koopalings'' always has a different job in every episode he appears in, some of these include being a teacher, head of a TV station, the manager of a restaurant, an announcer, a principal, etc.
* OriginalCharacter: In this AlternateContinuity of the Nintendo canon, there's several. This is on full effect in ''Carl'', which stars a character who was made by this series.
* PunnyName: The Kremlings usually have these: K. Rool, K. Ringe, D. Zaster, K. Ross, A. Byzmal...
* {{Retcon}}: Originally everyone lived in the Mushroom Kingdom and Bowser tried to constantly invade and take over it. This was changed some time around Season 3 of ''Bowser[='=]s Koopalings'' to Bowser being the king and ruler of the ''Koopa'' Kingdom, and historically Toads were exiled from the land in the year 1000. WordOfGod has [[{{Handwave}} handwaved]] this by stating that every time they mention "Mushroom Kingdom" in the early episodes, they actually mean a completely different location. The same goes to the [=BeanBean Kingdom=], which was retconned into the Bonhenkraut Kingdom.
* SharedUniverse: Each show has a distinct identity, but clearly exist in the same continuity. A few characters have even appeared in more than one show, such as King Dedede, King K. Rool, or Titch Smalley.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: Every so often, a character gets killed, only to return the next episode. These occurrences mostly happen in Halloween episodes.
* VillainProtagonist: Each of ''[=FreezeFlame22=]'' shows place focus on the bad guys and villains of Nintendo franchises, including Bowser and his Koopa Troop or King K. Rool and the Kremlings, with the supporting cast being almost entirely comprised of enemies and antagonists from Nintendo games, such as Koopa Troopas, Goombas, Piranha Plants, Spikes, Bloopers, King Dedede, Chef Kawasaki, etc. The exception to this are the Kongs in ''Donkey Kong Island'', but even DK has his moments of being a rouge in the ''Mario'' series.
* WorldOfSnark: Almost everyone in the Koopa Kingdom and Kongo Island is a DeadpanSnarker.
