''Lunicus'' is a 1993 pre-rendered computer game developed by Cyberflix and published by Creator/{{Paramount}} Interactive, designed as a cross between an InteractiveMovie and ''VideoGame/{{Doom}}''.

In 2023, alien artifacts are discovered for the first time, leading to an enormous surge in technological progress, to the point that the United Nations funded a moon base called ''Lunicus''. When one of these artifacts is repaired and activated, its HiveMind creators, the Phylarr, are alerted and stage an [[AlienInvasion attack on Earth]]. Now, in 2051, it's up to you and your crewmates on ''Lunicus'' to fight back and hopefully defeat these aliens once and for all.

!!''Lunicus'' contains examples of:
* AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs: You and your buddies strike out from the titular hidden moonbase to fight an alien occupation of Earth. It gets invaded later in the game, allowing you to hijack one of their boarding craft to pull an ''Film/IndependenceDay''.
* ComputerEqualsTapedrive: Many areas show bulky computer banks with spinning tape drives.
* FutureFoodIsArtificial: You receive synthesized food and drink on Lunicus, with a variety of flavors to choose from. Possibly justified, being on a moon base.
