Context Sandbox / TheTropingAlliancer

Go To

These are some characters I came up with. The weirdness of the world is very [[QuirkyWork quirky.]]

Edit: Now it’s a personal sandbox to screw around with.

[[foldercontrol]]

! The Cast (There are more Alliancers, I’m just focusing on these 7 to keep the page small)

!! In General, and the world around them:
* AdoptivePeerParent: Around the same age (biggest gap being 2 years, which isn’t a lot), but is like a second family to it’s members.
* AlternateSelf: These are everywhere, and regularly cross over to each other’s universes to interact with one another. Some call these Variants, others Planar Echoes.
* AlwaysInClassOne: Averted, the characters are separated across separate houses and classes.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: Some Alliancers have abilities and BlueAndOrangeMorality that is extreme even for Alliance standards. For all we know, they could be TheFairFolk, HumanoidAbomination or possessed. (Cap doesn't count, his true identity is an open secret to the Alliancers)
* AsianAndNerdy: Most of them are Hongkongers, who likes TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons and reading, among other stuff. The ones that AREN’T Hongkongers still have very specific interests. (Not studying. As an Alliancer may say, “Reading is fun when you’re not forcing yourself to memorise the contents.”)
* AxCrazy: If you mess with them, you just die in gruesome ways. The more you try to control them, the more uncontrollable they become. There’s like thousands of rules regarding what and what not to do around Alliancers and all of it boils down to “mess with them and they will [[PrecisionFStrike f-ing]] kill you”.
* BadassCrew: “Anger a normal guy, see you later. Anger an Alliancer, [[DeadlyEuphemism see you in the afterlife]].”
* BadPowersGoodPeople: Among the ranks involves powers like PoisonousPerson or necromancy, but the Alliance is still pleasant all around.
* BattleCouple: Some members date each other and fight together.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: How Alliancers are recruited - Being nice to a member, or repaying a favour from a member.
* BerserkButton: No, the Alliance is NOT a [[HaremGenre harem.]] You will receive a shoe cannon to the face.
** Don’t blame their behaviour on electronic devices either. You’ll receive a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech.
** The ParodySue type of character tends to piss them off more than any other MarySue type. It’s so strong that it can overtake that ParodySue’s strength. They can challenge [[Manga/HaventYouHeardImSakamoto Sakamoto]] and it would be a CurbStompBattle on their favour. (“Humans are flawed by nature!”)
** SelfImposedChallenge in videogames, more specifically the “Don’t do/use/collect X” variety.” The Alliance FictionalVideoGame series shuts down so many of them that playing them without trying to do a SelfImposedChallenge is a challenge in and of itself.
** ToTheTuneOf and WithLyrics covers of family friendly content, if the lyrics are too dark or demographically inappropriate. This is why they hate WebVideo/{{Paint}}. (Special case: Touhou remixes. Remixing them before adding lyrics is fine but adding lyrics before remixing really depends on the lyrics.)
** MusicalNumberAnnoyance is a Downplayed example. It’s only this trope if it interrupts the story or they can’t stand the lyrics. It used to apply to anything that isn’t of the [[MusicalWorldHypotheses Diegetic Hypothesis]].
** Being a {{Jerkass}} to an Alliancer then criticising their tendency to attack when they decide to attack you. YOU’RE the one who initiated the whole thing and now you’re saying this sort of thing? (Even the non-confrontational members will reduce you to atoms if it’s this one.)
*** This has led to the Alliance being really aggressive towards people advocating against violence (even the genuine ones) as it is a reminder to their horrible Evertree days. Yes, advocating against violence, genuine or to be a {{Jerkass}} to the Alliance will [[ViolenceIsTheOnlyOption get you killed by the Alliance.]] (At least it’s quick and painless considering the other option is being tortured by the bullies)
** PlayAlongMeme. It’s hard to play along when you already know what’s going on but explaining it would get you attacked, which the Alliance finds ridiculous.
** Exploiting their trauma by ForcedTransformation into something along the lines of a MonsterOfTheWeek. They’d either actively resist the attempt, attack the person transforming them the moment they get transformed, or transform themselves before the enemy gets to.
*** By extension, being a JackassGenie, taking advantage of a flaw/problem to make a bargain to screw the Alliancer over. In that case you'll become the problem you're exploiting them over, and their wish will revolve around removing you from reality. Example: An Alliancer becoming the concept of someone who can win against a ForTheEvulz interpretation of Manga/TheLaughingSalesman.
* TheBerserker: When they fight, they go all out. Best seen in Lily, who can catch a nuke and throw it away with her bare hands in such a state. (Note: Some say that they hide their fragility and sadness behind the toughness and brutality.)
** They also have what they dub “Blood Frenzy”, in which the smell of blood makes them continue rampaging. It’s why the best way to stop a rampaging Alliancer is to leave them be, because the effect only wears of when there are no more targets/pursuiters.
* [[BewareTheNiceOnes Beware]] [[BewareTheQuietOnes the X]] [[BewareTheSillyOnes Ones]]: Unassuming, yet powerful.
* BlemishedBeauty: Some members have visible scars or injuries. Perhaps due to their nature of constantly fighting to protect each other, many feel sympathy for them and see these scars as a reason to support them.
* BloodKnight: They all like fighting, especially big group ones.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Their ideas of solving problems usually involves fighting, traps that can injure people, or blasting the problem with magic.
* BrilliantButLazy: Has expertise in their specialised fields. Lacks technique and puts more effort in goofing off and avoiding technique.
* TheBroCode and BrosBeforeHoes: Essentially the modus operandi of the Alliance. Helping each other comes first, if an Alliancer has a date or crush then don’t take them for yourself, support them instead. For VitriolicBestBuds they will pause their fighting to fight against a bigger threat.
* BullyHunter: Considering the nature of Evertree, the Alliance formed to help protect each other and new students. They’re VigilanteMan due to ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight.
* BullyingTheDisabled: Unfortunately common in Evertree. If caught by an Alliancer (especially those with disabilities themselves), the bully will [[{{Irony}} receive potentially]] [[LaserGuidedKarma disabling injuries]].
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Quirky? Yes. Good at what they’re doing? They sure are!
* {{Calvinball}}: They have a game called Alliance Chess, which is basically [[JustForFun/XMeetsY Calvinball as a tabletop game.]]
* CastFullOfCrazy: A bunch of quirky people.
* ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve: Those who don’t really care about the supernatural phenomena can still interact with them, albeit less meaningful and generally lives their lives like our world. Those in constant contact with them or those who study them gets to have more meaningful interactions with said phenomena and is more likely to get involved in wacky shenanigans.
* CloudCuckooLander: IN SHOVELS. There's many different variaties too, from the standard ones to refusing to follow societal norms, to the previous example but to spite whomever tries to force them to, to BlueAndOrangeMorality EldritchAbomination, to thinking in a completely different plane, and any combination thereof. (Note: Combining this with the NoFourthWall nature of the sandbox’s concept means that they will pull a DeconstructiveParody on DeconstructorFleet shows, especially darker ones like NGE or PMMM. Yes, this can lead to a MindScrew if you think too much.) Depends on who’s being crazy they’re also each others’ [[CloudcuckoolandersMinder Minders]].
* CoolSchool: Despite all the issues, Evertree's nature as a hotspot for wackiness, extracurricular activities honing superpowers and Weaponisation originating from a student creating combat techniques based on Manga/AzumangaDaioh of all things gives Evertree a reputation as "the cool-ass shonen anime school" after the SuckySchool curse was removed. Evertree also has a positive reputation for having a high number of disabled students for a non-special needs school, this coming from the efforts of HandicappedBadass students to make the school a better environment for everyone post-Curse.
* CuteAndPsycho: DO NOT get on their bad side.
* CuteBruiser or BadassAdorable: All have their own ways to be cute and all have powerful fighting styles.
** GeniusBruiser: They have TACT.
* DarkIsNotEvil: The city has a sizeable population of [[BenevolentMonsters typically evil beings]]. Morality is judged on an individual basis, though the bullies in Evertree will commit VanHelsingHateCrimes [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters for the sake of it]]. (Note: that last part only applies to the bullies in Evertree.)
* DarkMagicalGirl: More of an umbrella term as the group is mixed-gender but most of them are magic users and most of them have issues.
* {{Deconstruction}}: The gang can deconstruct THEMSELVES when I think of how they interact with characters from more serious works. Then it becomes a DeconReconSwitch: The other characters get weirded out by the ridiculousness at first, but soon gets used to it because the Alliance SPREADS the ridiculousness around.
** The concept itself is sometimes deconstructed: there’s a stigma of edginess surrounding the concept of deconstructions, so if the Alliance is deconstructing something they enforce RuleOfFunny and PlayedForLaughs to clear that stigma.
* {{Determinator}}: If an enemy is not properly defeated, [[ImplacableMan they will not give up pursuing the enemy until one of them lands the final blow. Not even death.]]
** A select few also get Determination Mode, a super form that turns the user into a mass of their ColorMotif with GlowingEyesOfDoom. This mode is super strong, tanky and fast and can even turn into a fireball-shaped [[BuffySpeak ghost-thingy]] for extra manoeuvrability or flight. (Think of Fire Kirby’s Burning Dash for the shape.)
* DimensionalTraveller: Via Cap, who is a living multiversal portal in his True Form.
* DoNotTauntCthulhu: See TheDreaded below.
* TheDreaded: Most people at both Evertree and Bootside knows NOT to screw with them. Then again, those who specifically target Alliancers (ie bullies) know but [[BullyingADragon don’t care…]] and they end up as an example and justification of WHY the Alliance is this trope. In fact, call the authorities because of something they did and the authorities will just say that you’re wasting their time.
* DysfunctionJunction: Everyone has issues.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: A lot of Alliancers have the coolness and charisma to have this trope applied to them. The SpearCounterpart EvenTheGuysWantHim is less common towards Alliancers.
* ExtranormalInstitute: AllMythsAreTrue is already in effect, so the education system accomodates for that.
* ExtremeOmnivore: A visual gag involves the Alliance enjoying canned drinks or drinks in cups by eating the entire thing, can or cup included. Another one involves the Alliance chugging what would normally be inedible (like dishwasher liquid) from the bottle.
* FamouslyMundaneFictionallyMagical: The entirety of Japan, the US and Hong Kong, these three locations being major hotspots for all sorts of supernatural phenomena. And apparently the Periodic Table of Elements has some unknown supernatural properties.
* FantasyKitchenSink: Mythical and Legendary Creatures? You name it, the city has it! Even those that only exist in contemporary media! (There’s even a MagicalLand pocket dimension that serves as a nature reserve/[[MonsterTown residential space]] for them)
* FictionalGreetingsAndFarewells: Ranging from sensible like a thumbs up to the ridiculous like a {{Shoryuken}}.
* FisherKingdom: Inverted slightly. When travelling to works with different artstyles, the Alliance will change their own artstyle to blend in.
** Also, Evertree. If you’re involved in the Faction Wars, you either become a bully, a BullyHunter (Alliance) or a MartialPacifist (Neutral Parties). No exceptions.
* FilmFic: Basically how an Alliance Adaptation AU works, replacing characters from the original with the Alliancers.
* FormerTeenRebel: Downplayed comparing their future forms to their current ones - they've settled down, still bearing a mischievous streak, and using their abilities in new ways. Yet another form of skill conversion like Weaponisation.
* FourthWallObserver: A perk of being in the Alliance. Some have more powers than others, like being aware that the Player and the Player Character are separate entities, but it is never PlayedForHorror. They may make jokes about it or just not bother with it.
* FramesOfReference: Only Cap and Lily are examples on thi page, but both wears circular frames - Cap to denote him trying to not make a spectacle out of his powers and Lily to represent her soft interior.
* AFriendInNeed: Because otherwise there aren’t many people that genuinely support them.
%% * GamerChick
* HandicappedBadass: Most have major physical issues. Can still shred enemies apart.
* HeadphonesEqualIsolation: For those that have [[NoSocialSkills lacklustre social skills]] but still have to deal with people CONSTANTLY trying to socialise with them, this trope applies.
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: Sometimes they’ll make fun of their own traits. At their absolute worst they’ll refer to themselves with UsefulNotes/{{Kotobagari}}, giving Japanese Alliancers an impression of self-loathing.
* HorrifyingTheHorror: They’re not stuck with monsters, monsters are stuck with them. They also fit some horror antagonists archetypes themselves, and would turn the tables if they’re the victim of an UrbanLegend. (e.g. Daruma-onna and kidnapped ladies getting their limbs removed? They’ll remove their kidnappers’ limbs instead.)
* HugeSchoolgirl: Several characters are way above 170 (the metric for the trope), and may surprise those in other worlds. The City in general just has taller people.
* IdealIllnessImmunity: For members with HealingFactor, their immunity cells are jacked up to insane degrees as well. Using Manga/CellsAtWork to describe this, it's like all the cells (including non-immunity ones) going apeshit the moment they detect a pathogen.
** Anything involving a {{Curse}} is the same story, the {{Determinator}}'s soul simply gives the curse a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown no matter how strong the curse is. Only exception is the FisherKingdom that is th Evertree Curse, though that's because you have to exploit the curse to not die and hopefully make a change. (No one gets that last bit)
* IfYouTauntHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim and IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim: They will defy it in MANY ways. There’s the ability [[LivingLieDetector Judgement Eye]], which basically says “Your policy only causes more bullying and if [[KarmaHoudini you don’t punish them]], I WILL AND IT WON’T LOOK GOOD”, to authorities being not allowed to care about the Alliance because they are TheDreaded, AxCrazy and has suffered for way too long, to forcing people to see things from their perspective via psychic abilities, to anyone trying to stop them from responding also being caught in the crossfire. So, don’t irritate Alliancers or give them Aesops that they believe is garbage. At the end of the day, they’re probably the only group in Evertree to never go out of their way to bully people and they’re the only BullyHunter group since the bullying problem in Evertree is THAT bad. (Sometimes they snark at MagicalGirl villains by comparing them to Evertree.)
** For the latter they'll go as far as going OneWingedAngel on the one (trying to) applying this trope to them. If an Alliancer is in a berserker state then they WILL mow down everyone in their way with no regards for who they are. Only way to stop them is to leave them be.
* IndifferentBeauty: Unless they’re teasing people, don’t expect them to bring their appearance up.
* IShallTauntYou: While no insults are actually thrown, the Alliance enjoys distraction tactics, sneak attacks, doing random things in the middle of fights and snarking at monologuing villains.
* ItRunsOnNonsensoleum: So many things in the Allianceverse make no sense at all.
* KillerRabbit: Normal and unassuming looking… Until you anger them.
* KungFuWizard, MageMarksman and MagicKnight: They can cast spells, shoot AND combo you.
** FullContactMagic and SupernaturalMartialArts are also common, ranging from the above to the inability to use magical focuses.
*** The most extreme cases is that the Alliancer is good at FullContactMagic and RitualMagic, but using any casting focus (e.g. wands) that isn't custom made will lead to disaster. ("I can perform magic with anything that isn't actual magical focuses. Ironic!")
* LaboriousLaziness: To quote Lily: “It’s not like we dislike chores, it’s just that when there’s lots of chores it removes a lot of our free time, but we can’t stay up too late either using that free time or we get nagged at. Despite the latter I haven’t slept for three weeks to make up for all the lost time.” If it’s something they don’t like, they’ll go out of their way to avoid or [[ComicBook/TheBeano “dodge”]] it as much as possible.
** At its extremes it becomes "I WILL minimise the time spent doing any actual work, no matter how slapdash it is or the extra work if it goes wrong!" then repeat this when something does go wrong until either all the work is done or the panic over time constraints causes them to go OneWingedAngel.
* LikeRealityUnlessNoted: Basically our Earth but AllMythsAreTrue.
* LoonyFriendsImproveYourPersonality: Is this to each other, turning NoSocialSkills to SituationalSociability and so on.
* LoserBuysLunch: Inverted. The winner of a duel buys food out of respect and as consolation.
* MadeOfIron: Can take lots of impact. Even frailer Alliancers can take at least a few hits.
* MagicalGirl: All types are commonplace. There is actually an explanation to why it’s mostly restricted to girls - becoming one affects your physiology and personality, and the effects are more pronounced and unstable on boys. Cap once tried it in male form and ended up getting a major personality flip.
* MagicRealism or MundaneFantastic: The supernatural is still studied, but as FantasticScience.
* {{Magitek}}: Come on. We have spell-shooting firearms, robots powered by artificial soul energy, and a magic broom that is made of metal, uses a thruster engine, but also has flying and balance spells on it, and gravity boots for standing on the aforementioned broom at any angle.
* MartialPacifist: AxCrazy berserkers as the Alliance are, they dislike direct confrontation unless sufficiently angered.
* MemeticMolester: Deconstructed! In-universe several Alliancer have this reputation… due to bullying. This caused the trope to be a BerserkButton, TraumaButton AND a PetPeeveTrope.
* MisunderstoodLonerWithAHeartOfGold: Most, if not all of them. There are [[HeelFaceTurn reformed]] [[ReformedBully bullies]], social rejects, various levels of NoSocialSkills...
* MonoNoAware: Seems to be a general philosophy within the Alliance, especially to those who has a DarkAndTroubledPast. They appreciate the world’s beauty and can get quite artistic.
* MoreDakka: A popular tactic is to overwhelm foes with lots of attacks. Pair this with [[YouWillNotEvadeMe Arena]] [[AntiEscapeMechanism Lock]] to shut down people trying to escape or using VillainTeleportation and the enemies will experience a BulletHell they can't win.
* TheMultiverse: They even travel it!
* MultinationalTeam: The cast is very diverse. It’s just that fellow tropers don’t get to see the non-Not-Hong-Konger members.
* MundaneMadeAwesome: This is called “Weaponisation”, where a character trait, an object, a one off gag or action, a quote, or even characters weaknesses and deaths from other shows are turned into powerful attacks. They can do this to their own traits as well.
* NeverBeHurtAgain: The reason they came together.
* NiceGuy: As long as you don’t intentionally anger them, they’re friendly and willing to help you.
* NoFourthWall: RecursiveCanon, MutuallyFictional and associated tropes ensues.
* ObfuscatingStupidity and ObfuscatingInsanity: Most are very intelligent and plotting beneath layers of craziness.
* OminousVisualGlitch: Played for Laughs. Sometimes visual humour involves someone or something glitching out.
* OneeSama: Dysfunctions aside, the Alliance ARE graceful elder sibling figures that are [[FriendToAllChildren good with those younger than them]] provided they’re not being irritating.
* OurMonstersAreDifferent: In general there’s a lot of specific mechanics involving the monster side of things. Using [[OurVampiresAreDifferent vampires]] as an example, here they can be summarised as “weird fanged people with heightened senses” - [[DaywalkingVampire Sunlight]] (and running water) just makes their skin feel funny, garlic just has a strong smell that they’re more sensitive to, religious imagery is a placebo and [[Manga/{{Karin}} no one can survive a stake to the heart]]. Result, (mostly) [[FriendlyNeighbourhoodVampire Friendly Neighbourhood]] VegetarianVampire. (They sustain themselves on livestock.)
* OutsideContextProblem: They actively create them when fighting enemies, such as using Anime/PrettyCure special attacks on monsters or villains not from the season that attack comes from (the Alliance sometimes abridges certain seasons with themselves in place of the protagonists.)
* PalsWithJesus: When the Alliance is friends with the local EldritchAbomination and said EldritchAbomination knows every mythological and religious figure personally, this is ought to happen.
* PoliceAreUseless: Zigzagged. On one hand they’re able to handle most actual bad stuff. On the other hand they require supernatural intervention on stuff they can’t normally handle. Then there’s their relation with Lily - on one hand she’s respected for able to handle stuff they can’t, but on the other hand Lily can go CopKiller on those who are sent to stop her rampages. She tries to limit herself to the [[PoliceBrutality bad]] [[DirtyCop stuff]] when in control.
* PopCulturedBadass: Considering they’re modern teens with geeky interests, it’s obvious. Basically how Weaponisation works.
* PopularIsEvil: Zigzagged. While popularity is SeriousBusiness in Evertree to the point where your popularity affects your social status, there are genuinely nice and mean people both popular and unpopular. Sylvia is called [[AffectionateNickname “The Buddhist”]] for not caring and choosing to be a CreepyLonerGirl.
* PostModernMagik: Definitely.
* PoweredByAForsakenChild: Taken literally - They are the rejects (forsaken ones), and they can power machines using the energy of resentment they have. Even the nicer ones have this energy in them.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: May not be brought into the forefront, but the members’ bonds with each other keeps themselves stable even in the worst situations.
* ThePowerOfHate: If someone is perceived to have wronged them, the Alliances will rebel and do stuff that can [[TooDumbToLive harm themselves]] out of pure spite. Case in point, a SupremeChef Alliancer going LethalChef over Creator/GordonRamsay entering his AngryChef persona.
* PragmaticHero: A team of CombatPragmatist(s) willing to use sneak attacks and stall tactics against MagicalGirl villains.
* ProudToBeAGeek: They all have geeky/nerdy/otaku interests and won’t let you insult them. (In fact, using “weeb” as an insult will lead to a beatdown.)
* PutTheLaughterInSlaughter: Multiple reasons. Either playing it straight (it’s funny), to relieve stress (like hyenas) or because they’re AxCrazy to begin with.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: A bunch of rejects, outcasts and “weird kids” grouping together, looking out for one another.
* RealityWarper: Other than the ones with dedicated abilities to do so, everyone can at least channel the power of ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve to affect the world, like if one believes their effort is inversely proportional to their performance, they will be.
* RebelliousSpirit: In the Alliance this ranges from willing to speak their mind to being TooDumbToLive just to spite authority.
* RubberMan: Usually used for visual gags, but can be used offensively - they really like screaming “[[Manga/OnePiece GOMU GOMU NO (insert phrase here)]]” when using this for combat.
* SanityBall: No one is truly sane.
* SanityHasAdvantages: The Alliance may be AxCrazy, but they’re also stable enough to try and find a way out of the stalemate of Evertree. Part of their successes comes from their ability to strategise.
* SchoolOfHardKnocks: While fighting is discouraged in Evertree, it’s absolutely necessary to fight if you’re involved in the Faction Wars due to the entire bullies hunting pacifists and Alliancers killing pacifists before the bullies can torture them thing.
* ScienceWizard and {{Magitek}}: [[UrbanFantasy Urban]] ScienceFantasy. Enough said.
* ShallowParody: Discussed when referencing other works. Summary: "Disclaimer: Sometimes our understanding of a piece of media is limited or has holes in it. Please don't mind us getting things wrong. (When it's on purpose, it's usually related to the chaotic nature of the Alliance.)"
* SituationalSociability: If an Alliancer is comfortable around a person they will be proactive on social interaction. If they’re uncomfortable however, the measures taken to avoid interactions are very extreme.
* {{Slapstick}}: A mixed-gender group that beats each other up at times.
* StockShoujoBullyingTactics: People occasionally try to use these on them but given what they went through they either don’t care or has some way to counter it. (“These are extremely overdone for us who’ve SeenItAll, it’s more irritating and in-our-way than actually scarring.”)
* StoicWoobie: Most have experienced some sort of suffering, but they won't show it unless they decide to open up.
* StomachOfHolding: Another "visual gag with actual uses", where characters will sometimes pop things into their mouth for storage and spit it out later.
* StrongerThanTheyLook and PintSizedPowerhouse: Most look normal but is capable of great strength feats, like Sylvia ripping steel with her bare hands without thinking.
* SupremeChef: Most have a basic understanding of cooking, some are really good at it, and they will go CordonBleughChef if they feel like someone needs a CoolAndUnusualPunishment.
** In an extreme case of ViolationOfCommonSense, Lily is a LethalChef when following recipes (or plain old trying to spite an AngryChef), but plays the trope straight when she doesn’t care what she’s doing even if she’d otherwise poison someone.
* TermsOfEndangerment: If one calls you “broski”, they usually mean “you stop that before we go sicko mode” or “I understand the intent of your actions but it still hurts”
* TooSpicyForYogSothoth or WalkingDisasterArea: They're ImmuneToMindControl and will therefore crash anything that can affect people's minds, making them this trope to villains who utilise any form of mind control. Some examples are due to powers, some due to stubbornness, some are just too crazy, et cetera.
* TriggerHappy: They’re armed and aren’t the most stable bunch.
* TrueCompanions: The largeness means that they can be TheFriendsWhoNeverHang but they look out for one another.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: Baits people into thinking so.
* VigilanteMan: Method of operations due to authority either not taken seriously or being the oppressors, often putting the Alliance at odds with staff who are more unsure of her ways.
* WackyHomeroom: Even without Faction Wars, Evertree is still very weird to those not studying there. Supernatural phenomena alongside sci-fi hijinks, there’s nothing that can’t happen there.
* WeaponisedLandmark: The HK Space Museum apparently has a field that repels alien invaders.
* WillNotBeAVictim: Ties well with NeverBeHurtAgain.
* WorldOfWeirdness: The crew is weird, the world around them is just as weird. The City they live in is an [[UrbanFantasy Urban]] ScienceFantasy Hong Kong with a [[TheUnmasquedWorld lack of masquerade]] for the supernatural, meaning that people with a civilian identity and a super identity can just transform in public without people freaking out.

!!Interfaces (玩家角色)
!!! Nicknames: Customisable
!!! Symbol: Customisable
!!! “A manifestation of VisualNovel interfaces. As such, they have no past to speak of.” - The Handbook

In-universe interfaces for players of hypothetical video games to interact with the Alliance world, and the justification for CharacterCustomisation mechanics.

!! Tropes:
* BlankSlate and associated tropes: One method of creating an interface is to build one up from scratch. Can break into an [[PreviousPlayerCharacterCameo in universe character]] that keeps the universal Interface abilities after enough characterisation.
** CharacterCustomisation: In extreme cases where there aren’t predetermined appearances for the interface’s gender, you can determine how the interface looks.
** {{Omniglot}}: You can determine two languages that the interface can speak outside of Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese (in-universe).
** ProtagonistWithoutAPast: You can determine the interface’s backstory and personality. For interfaces with predetermined appearances that isn’t BodySurf IdentityAmnesia is the justification for this.
** VirtualPaperDoll: In the scenario where you can customise your character with clothing. Some clothing grants stat bonuses, and {{Cosplay}} of certain characters can even give you new skillsets via [[MundaneMadeAwesome Weaponisation and Proxy Skills]].
* BodySurf: The other method of creating an interface is to take control of an existing named character or NPC, streamlining their thoughts into a VisualNovel UI and temporarily giving them the associated abilities.
* DiegeticInterface: A VisualNovel UI that only the interface and dedicated FourthWallObserver can see and interact with.
* HelloInsertNameHere: Named by the player unless you’re controlling an existing character.
* PlayerAndProtagonistIntegration: Advisor for BodySurf interfaces; Controller, AnAdventurerIsYou and/or FeaturelessProtagonist for BlankSlate interfaces.
* SaveScumming: An important aspect of interfaces is the ability to save and load in-universe. There ARE SaveGameLimits of 54 saves at once, which is “way too high” by the trope’s standards.
* SignatureMove: [[SaveScumming Save and Load]], [[DiegeticInterface UI]] [[NinjaProp Attacks]].
* VisualNovelTropes: Most Interactivity Tropes apply due to the DiegeticInterface being based on a visual novel.

!! Tropes:
* AffectionateNickname: People who have known him since he was an Ancient sometimes calls him “Wheelman” or “Lamprey”. (“My Ancient form has a LampreyMouth and moves like a wheel.”) <- ([[red:”I SAID, ONLY FELLOW ANCIENTS! MaliciousMisnaming IS NEVER THE RIGHT SITUATION TO USE IT AND THOSE WHO CALL ME FOR THAT PURPOSE CAN DIE IN A PIT!”]])
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer and BullyMagnet: Gets picked on for no reason, a lot. (“I have been wronged by my creations! I am a disgrace of an Ancient.”)
* AuthorAvatar: It’s all over the place. (“It’s me and me!”)
* BerserkButton: So many.
** Nicknames. They’re basically MaliciousMisnaming to him. (“Call me Cap only.”)
** Repeatedly annoying him. It’s basically bullying. (“There’s this really annoying guy who doesn’t understand why I hate him.”)
** Forcing him to socialise even if he rejects the offer. Ties to the above. (“Don’t.”)
** Cyberstalking him. It’s bad enough already, but especially horrible if you’re cyberstalking him for criticising your morally wrong actions. (“I get cancelled over a [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} SKORUPI.]] These people are psychos.”)
** If he’s running away from you or just running, DON’T ENCOURAGE HIM TO RUN. It is seen as a threat. (“I will spit Eldritch Matter with such force that you’ll take damage both physically and mentally!”)
* BizarreAlienReproduction: Not an alien per se, but Cap can shoot Impregnation Rays at people. (“This allows for HomosexualReproduction! I take one person’s DNA, convert it to the Ray, and WaveMotionGun the second person. Works for both male and female - for males I use a special spectral sac for embryonic development. Even without the conversion part, it still works. This is how Rica is born: I shoot a Ray at Lily, and she carries out the rest. Does this count as Asexual Reproduction given the Ancients’ NoBiologicalSex?”)
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: While heroic, he has weird standards. (“Hey, Ancient minds are hard to comprehend using human morals.”)
* {{Catchphrase}}: “Apparently”, “I guess”, “Or something”, “Leave me alone!”
* ChoiceOfTwoWeapons: Two swords: A LivingWeapon (EmpathicWeapon) called Bloodblade, an equally Ancient (said to be forged by Cap’s imagination and is technically an extension of him) sword that [[AlwaysAccurateAttack redirects itself]] and can [[AbsurdlySharpBlade cut through all tangible matter]], plus a LimitBreak that makes the user [[TheJuggernaut indestructible]] when a gauge is filled; and the Concept Cutter, a sword that cuts concepts. Similarities to [[Franchise/TouhouProject Youmu Konpaku]] have been made. (“(Hums Till When)”)
* CluelessChickMagnet: Zigzagged. He notices that he can socialise with girls better than boys, but doesn’t make too big a deal over it. (“It’s because my alien social skills can lead to trouble.”)
* CrossoverCosmology: He’s buddies with ALL pantheons, including purely fictional ones, except the concept of Chance. (“Chance hates me.”) (Sidenote: All underworlds and heavens are connected)
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Has his abilities accidentally sapped by accident. He requires respect to prevent PowerIncontinence but everyone is too mean. (“Well there’s my Alliance but before I moved to Bootside there simply isn’t enough.”)
* DudeWheresMyRespect: It’s his source of powers. Of course he craves it. (“RESPECT!”)
* EldritchAbomination: He’s an Ancient Being, which are godlike creatures that look like biblically accurate angels. (“Too scary?”)
* EmotionalPowers or PsychoactivePowers: Only due to PowerIncontinence that this is displayed. If he has enough respect he can control it without his emotional state being involved. (“Poor me…”)
* FourthWallObserver: The original. (“Of course!”)
* TheGadfly: Can and will use his powers to wank you into a meme version of yourself. (“(Turns [[VisualNovel/UminekoWhenTheyCry Bernkastel]] into a pile of ash called [[{{Pun}} Burnt]]-kastel) [[red:Pantheon/GUAETrollkaiger is screwed.]] Who’s next?”)
* GodInHumanForm and AFormYouAreComfortableWith: He manifests himself as a human male. (“It’s due to sapping but it’s cool I guess.”)
* GodIsGood: Has lots of [[BerserkButton buttons]], but is a helpful person if you don’t press them. (“Need support?”)
* GodsNeedPrayerBadly: Respect. (“[[RuleOfThree RESPECT!]]”)
* GreenEyedMonster: Is a JackOfAllStats, but unfortunately overshadowed by more specialised creations. (“Terrible decision…”)
* HairTriggerTemper: Angry all the time because he is wronged by his creations. (“[[OverlyLongGag RESPECT!]]”)
* HeroWithBadPublicity: Much to his chagrin. (“I’m trying to look after my multiverse and people hate me!”)
* ImaginaryFriend: In a meta way, I created everyone because I can’t socialise well. (“So I’m representing your psyche as a whole, and everyone else are imaginary friends you made… We have ourselves a MindScrew here.”)
* ImaginationBasedSuperpower: Shapes the entire Multiverse with only his mind. (“Then again, I’m an Ancient.”)
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: “Hey, imagine having your powers sapped, being bested by everyone else as a result AND endless torment! That will make ANYONE insecure!”
* InsultOfEndearment: Alliancers, and Alliancers ONLY, calling him “you little wackjob”. (“Idiot is also used endearingly between us and us only. If an outsider is involved then it’s an insult.”)
* MemeticHandGesture: A single right thumbs up. Used to indicate approval or as a greeting. (“👍”)
* NeutralGood: He has strong human-comprehensible morals (for a mildly Eldritch being), and seeks balance between Order and Chaos. (“Or TrueNeutral.”)
* NoBiologicalSex: Ancient Beings don’t use human genders but he either manifests as a human male or identifies as a picket fence. (“Cancel me and you’re beamed.”)
* NoSocialSkills: Whatever his social skills are, they’re not human. (“I’m used to communicating with gods. It’s hard to adjust!”)
* NoodleIncident: Claims to have eaten roadkill burgers before, which he sees as a TraumaButton. (“They don’t taste good!”)
* OneOfTheGirls: The only male character on this page, and the only male Looper. (“I communicate with them better.”)
* TheParanoiac: Only due to bullying, but he’s a very distrustful person. (“[[VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry Hinamizawa Level…]]”)
* PungeonMaster: Makes him more human. (“Love puns.”)
** Veers into SadClown territory once you combine it with his paranoid nature. (“I joke to hide my pain! Ha ha ha! *cries*”)
* RealityWarper: He’s capable of creating and destroying everything, including energy and the fabric of reality itself. (“Law of Energy Conservation be screwed.”)
* RedBaron: “Cap” isn’t even his real name, merely referring to his leader status. His real name is a ThingManWasNotMeantToKnow. (“The multiverse will explode.”)
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: When he reaches his limit. (“[[evil:I HAVE DISCUSSED THIS WITH FELLOW ANCIENTS AND I SHALL PURGE THIS PLACE OF LIFE.]]”) (he’s talking about the mean peers in his school.)
* SadClown: Isn’t it obvious? (“‘Nuff said.”)
* SignatureLaugh: “(WHEEZE) Hahahehehoo (WHEEZE)” (“The physics teacher said it sounded like someone giving birth.”)
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Cold at first, but kind once he trusts you. (“{{Kuudere}}.”)
* {{Teleportation}}: Can freely jump between universes. (“Mostly for Fast Travel between places.”)
* TimeAbyss: A Being as old as the Concept of Time. (“I’m Really700YearsOld.”)
* TimeMaster: Can control time and space as a result of his powers. (“[[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventure ZA WARUDO!]]”)
* TrueNeutral: Not always, but he allegedly has a [[VisualNovel/UminekoWhenTheyCry Witch]]-based form that doesn’t get involved with the others’ Game, instead opting for spectating from afar (or in the Sea) using Interdimesional Cable. Sometimes this form also looks over the Franchise/WhenTheyCry Metaverse, reviewing content that the fandom makes. (“She’s created to communicate with the others without unnerving them. My true form is an EldritchAbomination after all.”) (Surprisingly [[NiceGuy benevolent]] and not trolly when you compare her to the concept this form is based on, maybe even siding with the good-aligned ones if it isn’t for her spectator nature and having a sour spot for malicious trolling.)
* WaveMotionGun: His true form can spit a giant death beam. (“It’s called Satellite Beam.”)
* YourMindMakesItReal: How his creation powers work. (“Creating with thoughts!”)

My main imaginary character other than my AuthorAvatar. A powerful fighter with a problematic past.

!! Tropes:

* ActionGirl: Hits quite hard, and is the main character in many scenarios. (“I kick stuff.”)
* ACupAngst: Rare for both the trope and her, this trope is more in a playful manner - sometimes Joanne would [[VitriolicBestBuds make jabs]] at Lily’s lacking assets and Lily would fire back with her own jabs at Joanne and make a grumpy face, but that’s about it. The Benders can spend an entire afternoon going back and forth on snide remarks. (“When I’m [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness genuinely being mean about Joanne]], it’s usually because some buffoon made a genuine snide remark about me.”)
* AllDrummersAreAnimals: Zigzagged. Plays the drums, can be wild, but also quite calm on a good day. (“Then something goes wrong, and my drumsticks are sticking out of someone.”)
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: Mostly calm and collected, unless she's at school due to the HatePlague aura. Doesn't really have long hair but whatever. (“Don’t talk to me.”)
* DiagnosedOfGod: Seems to show heavily exaggerated symptoms of Bipolar Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Then again, my creation, my decision to leave it ambiguous. (“No specifics!”)
* AmbiguouslyBi: Yes, she has her HoYay moments. Gives a QueerFlowers motif. (“(Blushes)”)
* AnIcePerson: Associated with ice magic. (“Ice, ice, baby.”)
** TragicIceCharacter: More on DarkAndTroubledPast below. (“Pain.”)
* AntiHero: A combination of Classical and Pragmatic. (“I’m no true hero but you can rely on me.”)
* AxCrazy: At school, amplified by the HatePlague. Somehow makes her (and the rest of the cast) immune to other hate plagues. (“KILL… THEM… ALL…”)
* BadassAdorable AND CuteBruiser: Can handle both physical attacks and magical attacks [[KillItWithIce very well.]] (“HIYA! *meows*”)
* BadassLongcoat: Her jacket serves as one. (“I like it. It’s soft and comfortable.”)
* BeingTorturedMakesYouEvil and InsaneEqualsViolent: Four years of pain and suffering has made her quite the angry and aggressive person. (“Exactly.”)
* BeneathTheMask: Tough and stoic outside. [[red:Shy and unstable inside.]] (“My tough image is important.”)
* BerserkButton:
** Friends being hurt in any form. (“I will not let them suffer like I did!”)
** [[ViolenceIsTheOnlyOption People saying that violence is not an option.]] Tied to her DarkAndTroubledPast below, and technically a TraumaButton as well. (“PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THAT ARE WORSE THAN THOSE WHO DOESN’T.”)
** ReversePsychology, mainly because it can [[ReversePsychologyBackfire backfire.]] (“You suck if you use that!”) (She usually just enters OneWingedAngel form on this one anyways)
** Don’t confiscate her devices or confiscate someone’s devices around her. (“[[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech I’ll rant on why it’s just wrong to do so!]] And considering the fact that people used to just take my stuff from me…”)
** Strictness, scolding, the like. (“Adults like you are why I hate authority.”) (sidenote: If she isn’t immediately comforted afterwards or is able to find a way to vent, she may have nightmares. “Trauma-induced over-defensiveness. I divert so much danger awareness resources onto socialising and scolding activates defence mechanisms.”)
** SadistTeacher, DeanBitterman, DrillSergeantNasty, the like. (“KILL…”)
** Using content of a show you watched as an insult. It’s annoying, and Hypocritical if you believe NewMediaAreEvil. (“If I’m (character used as insult) then you’re (BigBad of show).”)
* BigEater: Can sometimes take large portions of food. Ultimately ties into the DarkAndTroubledPast: One of the bullying methods has the bullies take all the food at lunch and when it’s finally her turn there’s nothing left. (“Can’t miss food out. Getting too hungry or getting a portion too small reminds me of this specific pain.”) Also a slow eater for the same reason (“Enjoy what you have for as long as possible.”)(“Not that I don’t gorge, you’ll just never get to see it.”)
** A lighter take is that it’s a RequiredSecondaryPower for her HealingFactor. Since the mitosis involved in repairing her after a battle requires lots of energy… (“Well, it seems like these sustained injuries are still here given my hyperventilating and easy tiredness from walking up stairs so it could also be that even after all this time, I still haven’t fully recovered and my body is still repairing itself.”)
* BlackComedy: Breathes it. Whether it be [[SuicideAsComedy hanging jokes]] or loudly screaming TACTICAL SUICIDE!, definitely. (“Wanna HANG out?”)
* BlindWithoutEm: Seems more [[MagicFeather psychological]] than physical as she’s actually fine without them. This is actually more because the glasses are important to her. When she has to take them off she goes for EyesAlwaysShut to deal with not being able to see as clearly without glasses. (“People go after my glasses, so I take them off. That means my eyesight is affected, and they go after that. You know the drill.”)
* BoyishShortHair: Black, short MessyHair. (“Long hair is inconvenient.”)
* BrilliantButLazy: Very smart as shown in this page. Hates studying. (“Sotsu makes no sense.”)
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: Can shred through armies and likes cute things.(“Mental healing factor.”)
* BrokenBird: Considering her past, yes. (“Still hurts to this day.”)
* BullyHunter: Will not let others suffer like she did. (“Said that already.”)
* {{Catchphrase}}: "Yare yare daze.../Bloody hell..."
** CatchphraseInsult: “Piece of trash!” to people who ticked her off or did something considered a [[Memes/RickAndMorty dick move]] to Alliancers.
* CatGirl: A cat person. Has an AnimalEaredHeadband. Cue cat smile. (“Meow.”)
* ChaoticGood: I would put her here. (“Chaos! Chaos!”)
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: As demonstrated in this page, her morals are all over the place. (“What did you expect?”)
* CombatMedic and MartialMedic: Usually serves the role of the healer in battles. Can still break all your bones. (“I heal AND kill!”)
* CompanionCube: Her hat. (“They sometimes say that it’s [[Manga/{{Gintama}} the hat wearing me.]]”)
* CompetitionFreak: “You know the drill…”
* ConspicuousGloves: Sometimes wears a pair of them. (“Protects my tender hands.”)
* CoolBigSis or BigSisterInstinct: A big sister figure to those she recruited. (“I LIKE protecting people.”)
* CosplayOtakuGirl: Likes cosplaying. (“Do you want the Elsa one or the Letty one?”)
* CrazyPrepared: Some AU versions have her have a special emergency bunker that has all sorts of survival materials. ("That's for surviving the harsh school environment.")
* CuteAndPsycho: Hates being called cute, but can act cute when no one's looking, and will beat you to death for looking her the wrong way. (“Only at school though.”)
* DanceBattler: “Wanna see me incorporate figure skating into my kicks?”
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Was bullied for 4 consecutive years because of the classic "Ignore your bullies" Aesop [[PacifismBackfire backfiring]]. Ended up nearly dying to a concussion from being pushed down the stairs. (very brief summary) (“I kinda like your style of summarising first then flesh out more on other tropes.”)
* DarkIsNotEvil: Angry, gloomy, edgy, but is one of the nicest people in the stories. (“ANGST.”)
* DayHurtsDarkAdjustedEyes: Possible justification for her attachment to her glasses, as she often finds dark places to hide on or use as a secret base and her glasses help buffer the light level changes. ("I use transition lenses for that.")
* DeadpanSnarker: Quite snarky. (“Do these quotes count?”)
** StepfordSnarker: As a coping mechanism to past trauma. ("SourOutsideSadInside.")
* DeathGlare: Depending on her mood, either means “Stop doing that.” Or “Prepare to die.”
* DefrostingIceQueen: Slowly regaining trust in people. (“SLOWLY!”)
* DidWeJustHaveTeaWithCthulhu: Well AuthorAvatar Cap is an EldritchAbomination in AFormYouAreComfortableWith! (“And he’s my adopted brother.”)
* DrearyHalfLiddedEyes or TsurimeEyes: To show her tired personality. (“Ha.”)
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: Gloomy, eyes are mostly dulled out. (“Can shine when needed.”)
* EveryoneHasStandards: Doesn't care about NoHoldsBarredBeatdown towards bullies. Can't stand animal abuse. (“Bullies deserve a taste of their own medicine while animal abuse is basically the same as bullying.”)
* EvilLaugh or LaughingMad: Still a good person! (“I laugh like a MagicalGirl villain!”)
* ExhaustedEyeBags: Justified, as she has nightmares of her DarkAndTroubledPast. (“It’s pretty insignificant compared to others.”)
* ExpressiveAccessory: Her hat acts like cat ears. (“It droops when I’m sad.”)
* {{Expy}}: Original design is based on [[VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon Lillie]], but some fleshing out, a redesign and a CosmicRetcon Subverted it. (“Never forget your design origins. My favourite Pokemon games are in [[VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon the Sun and Moon generation.]]”)
* FaceOfAThug: “Mean look, good heart.”
* TheFairFolk: Not actually, but is shown to have fae-like tendencies when pranking people. (“Living in a QuirkyTown doesn’t help.”) (Note: On a particularly bad day, some interpret her as TheOphelia.)
* FightingSpirit: Has a [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventure Stand.]] (“It’s called Crystallised Silver.”)
* FloralMotifs: Lilies. It's her namesake in all languages, is said to smell like one and has a Petal Barrage attack featuring it. Combined with AmbiguouslyBi to create a QueerFlowers motif. While we’re in the mood, let’s make her symbol a FleurDeLis. (“Obviously.”)
* FourthWallObserver: Not the only one, but breaks it so much it doesn't matter anyways. (“I’m talking to you tropers right now.”)
* TheGadfly: Messes around a lot. (“I’m a bit of a troll.”)
* GamerChick and OtakuSurrogate: Why, yes. She owns a Switch and plays the game she's currently in as an idle. For the latter, she’s likes cosplaying, anime and manga, that sort of stuff. (“I have a channel.”)
* GenreSavvy: “Being a FourthWallObserver is an indicator.”
* GentleGiant: Outside of school she's a caring person that values friendship. (“If it isn’t for my sense of honour and friendship Creator/DavidWalliams will put me in his Worst Children books.”)
* GirlWithPsychoWeapon: Pistols, chainsaws, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking cha]][[ChairmanOfTheBrawl irs]]... (“I’m versatile.”)
* GroinAttack: Her Piston Kick. (“In the nuts, then kick like a piston.”)
* HatesBeingTouched: Will instinctively punch anyone that isn’t a friend if touched. (“You all know why…”)
* HugeSchoolgirl: Taller than most of the boys (183 cm). Originally average height, but the concussion messed up her family's growing pattern. (starts out average, slowly grow to super tall) (“Family thing. My friends theorise that my desire to be stronger reacted with ambient magic energy or whatever that caused the rapid growth.”)
* InTheBlood: Battle prowess and rebelliousness, heavily exaggerated after the concussion. (“Don’t forget mischief. My great-great-grandmother played freaking Ding Dong (The Witch Is Dead) during her funeral.”)
* IntrovertedCatPerson: Keeps to her inner circle. And cats. (“hmm yes, c a t.”)
* ImportantHaircut: Used to have long brown hair that rapidly darkened from the incident, cut it to indicate her toughening. (“Also because long hair is inconvenient.”)
* ImTakingHerHomeWithMe: Recruiting people into Cap's Alliance (the protagonist group in the story) is her way of saying so. Setting up a [[VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry Hinamizawa]] subsidiary of the titular Alliance makes the TropeNamer come full circle. (“You’re recruited!”)
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Can be quite mean at times, but generally a pleasant person. (“[[JerkassFacade Exactly.]]”)
* JumpOffABridgeRebuttal: “I’m the first jumper!”
* KarmicTrickster: Towards other karmic tricksters. (“I’m usually an example of an archetype towards characters of that archetype.”)
* KickChick: My fanmade VideoGame/SuperSmashBros. moveset are mostly kicks. (“Piston Kick!”)
* KillerYoYo: A backup weapon. (“Ranged bonk machine!”)
* KindnessButton:
** Protecting other Alliancers for her. (“You help me on my responsibility, and I will repay you.”)
** Listening to her story and understanding the reason behind her craziness. (“You understand why I am the way I am, you get instant trust.”)
* LeanAndMean: Has an average tall person build, and is quite aggressive and screwy. (“Still the nicest of them.”)
* {{Lunacy}}: Heavily associated of the moon. (“I am a being if the night!”)
* TheMadHatter: "I'm nuts and I'm making the most out of it!"
* MagicalGirl: Never voluntarily, but when she does transform, she subverts every single convention the genre has. (“I HUNT [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica INCUBATORS!]]”) (“[[DarkMagicalGirl Also, I have an edge to my style.]]” <- And we see stuff in the Point of View of the Alliancers, so here the non-dark ones play the role of TheRival instead.) (“Third thing, there’s one trope the dark stuff never deconstruct: THE COLLATERAL DAMAGE. We even have a rule that before a fight, escort bystanders out, and after a fight, we must clean up the arena.”)
* TheMedic: Actually does most of the healing despite being good at combat. (“[[CombatMedic I fight AND heal!]]”)
* {{Meganekko}}: Wears glasses, and is quite cute. ("Don't call me cute.”)
* MetronomicManMashing: One of her most powerful attacks. (“I use this when I’m REALLY angered.”)
* MightyGlacier: Not that she's slow, but she plays like one in hypothetical games. Technically WillfullyWeak to prevent being overused. (“I tank.”)
* {{Miko}}: In a very weird way. She's the best friend and adopted sister of AuthorAvatar Cap... and Cap is an [[EldritchAbomination Ancient Being]] that's also the BarrierMaiden of [[TheVerse the Multiverse]]. Cap also has a [[VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry Cotton Drifting Festival]]-esque thing minus all the killing and whatnot (that’s how she sees the whole thing), and Lily serves as his "priestess". The story isn't even set in Japan, but AlternateHistory Hong Kong. (“Think of it as Wata-whatever minus all the killing.” and "If you're still confused, just treat me as something like a miko.")
* MoodSwinger: “Self Explanatory!”
* TheNavigator: Avoiding bullies and finding routes to flank them has led to Lily being really good at finding alternate routes, SecretPath and SecretRoom. Often acts like she has NoSenseOfDirection to goad foes into a position advantageous to her or show teammates overlooked secrets. ("All this surviving has honed my skills.")
* NeverBeHurtAgain: Character motivation. (“Can’t act scared just in case something bad happens.”) This can lead to the constant fighting to prove her toughness be seen as reckless but there isn’t really anything we can do about it.
* NiceGirl and UsedToBeASweetKid: Still a nice person, but more cynical and aggressive after all the suffering. (“Still NICE!”)
* TheNicknamer: Lily’s not good with memorising names. (“They must not know my true name, in return, I give people titles to make the no-true-name thing fair.”)
* {{Ojou}}: Has the grace of one when not busy fighting. Sometimes seen with OjouRinglets. (“Beauty, Grace, will kick you in the face.”)
* OneWingedAngel: Purple Destruction. Hovers, body covered in a purple smoke, can throw police cars and even tanks for being involved. (“DESTROY.”) Later condensed into Rage Mode, a FightingSpirit made of negative emotions that serves as a physical defense mechanism.
* OnlySaneMan: Will call you out if you’re being ridiculous. (“[[NotSoAboveItAll I do pull off my own shenanigans.]]”)
* OppositesAttract: Tends to recruit quirky people. (“I myself can be odd but otherwise, I agree.”)
* PetitePride: “Good for dodging!”
* PopCulturedBadass: See {{Miko}} and ShoutOut. (“Don’t need to talk about this one.”)
* ThePowerOfFriendship: Doesn't make a big deal about it, but definitely values friendship. (“If I over exaggerate it then it’s too cliche.”)
* PowerStereotypeFlip: Zigzagged. On one hand, she's mostly quiet. On the other hand, she's also aggressive. (“I’m icy.”)
* PrehensileHair: Not in the Prime Universe, of course, but in an AlternateUniverse where Lily kept her long hair, innate and trained magic allows her to do so. (“And that’s why TheMultiverse is fun to explore, kids!”)
* ProneToTears: Yes, but too prideful to show it. (“Sniff”)
* {{Psychopomp}}: Her future self, due to being unfit for either heaven or hell due to her unique situation, allowing her to channel some of her flaws for good. She also uses her grave as a resting spot between jobs. (“Future me’s also [[YetAnotherChristmasCarol Yet To Come]] at times, but since that’s literally just me and we visit graves at Ching Ming or Double Ninth instead of Christmas, no one visiting my grave has a different context.”)
* PungeonMaster: Makes a lot of puns. (“Not showing one right now.”)
* PurpleIsPowerful: [[purple:Associated with purple, and is amongst the most powerful. (“My T shirt has purple stripes on it. Would you look at that, fourth wall powers making this text purple!”)]]
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: “Yes, I talk back to you all the time and it’s all I do, but that’s because I lost trust in people like you who only cares about scolding others!” - Lily, when someone scolds her for talking back
* RedEyesTakeWarning: When in Purple Destruction form. Usually purple otherwise, but can also have the classic [[pink:"{{Yandere}} pink heart pupils"]]. (“DESTROY.”)
* RedOniBlueOni: Usually blue to others' red, but can reverse it at school. (“Purple Oni!”)
* ResurrectiveImmortality: [[DummiedOut I don't use it much anymore]], but she can respawn indefinitely as long as she's not dying of old age. (“It's useful when Carrie sets you on fire for a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vitwdPmJxk Vocaloid joke]]!”)
* SadClown: If her BlackComedy isn't an indicator I don't know what is. (“Yeah!”)
* ScarfOfAsskicking: A red one. (“It’s flowy.”)
* ScarsAreForever: A thin one along her right eye a la a {{Shonen}} protagonist. (“I survived.”)
* {{Shapeshifting}}: PlayedForLaughs, only turning into stuff bearing her namesake, like the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawasaki_Ki-48?wprov=sfti1 Kawasaki KI-48 due to its reporting code being “Lily”]], or a [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_symbolism?wprov=sfti1 lily crucifix]]. (“I turned into an attack plane! [[AmbiguouslyBi Your cancelling is invalid!]]”)
* ShoutOut: (other than the aforementioned {{Expy}})
** To Franchise/TouhouProject:
*** Cosplays as Lily White during Spring Equinox. (“ITS SPRING!”)
*** Uses the Spell Card system a lot. (“Slam! Spell Card Activated!”)
** To VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry:
*** Portrays Rika Furude in an in-universe [[TheAbridgedSeries abridgement]]... and she's the tallest of the lot portraying the shortest one. (“Minus the gun.”)
*** Names her [[KidFromTheFuture future]] daughter [[SpellMyNameWithAnS Rica]] to mess with Traybleu, local Higurashi expert and director of TheAbridgedSeries. (Though I intentionally made the joke LostInTranslation by calling her Akayaoi or Benibara in the fictional Japanese version) (“It’s a family thing. Some things never change. Oh, and she’s even better than me in making dark Higurashi jokes. I know that because of time travelling shenanigans.”)
** Others
*** Amongst her cosplays include [[Film/{{Frozen}} Queen Elsa]]. (“Let that go.”)
*** Could be seen playing games on a Nintendo Switch, especially if it's a {{Crossover}} she's in. (“VideoGame/{{Overwatch}} in Overwatch!”)
*** [[VideoGame/KatawaShoujo “Even if I was blind, I would still look after my friends.”]]
* ShyBlueHairedGirl: Downplayed. Her hair tends to look more purplish, and the shyness only goes so far before it goes to antisocial territory. (“I am NOT a ReiAyanamiExpy! I’m to HotBlooded for that!”)
* SignatureHeadgear: Her Brimmstead, a combination of a sunhat and a cowboy hat. (“Can be thrown as well, had it since the incident.”) Sometimes has an AnimalEaredHeadband. The Neurowear type. (“Meow?”)
* SignatureInstrument: The drums. (“It’s a relic from my {{Expy}} days.”)
* SignatureLaugh: “KYAHAHA! (It has vibes if a MagicalGirl villain’s EvilLaugh)” (“Or NoblewomansLaugh if I’m feeling mean.”)
* {{Sleepyhead}}: Tends to fall asleep a lot and very quickly. (“I guess I just feel tired easily if I am far away from hime for too long.”)
* SmugSmiler: It's either this or a cat smile. ("*smug*")
* SourOutsideSadInside: Usually a bit grouchy. (“After all, it’s the internal damage that made me this way.”)
* StaircaseTumble: “DarkAndTroubledPast, period!”
* StrongerThanTheyLook: "METEOR PUNCH!"
* StylishSunhats: Her SignatureHeadgear. ("I can throw it as a sawblade!")
* SugarAndIcePersonality: “It’s pretty obvious in the trope list, eh.”
* SweetTooth: To make up for a bitter past. (“I don’t even need to say it myself.”)
* TallDarkAndSnarky: Tall, Gloomy and Snarky. (“No comment.”)
* TeamMom: Protects others.
* TenderTears: "Like you'd ever see them!"
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Likes cute things. ("AHH! THAT WAS CUTE! *blush*")
* TooKinkyToTorture: And too [[StoneWall tanky.]] (“heeheehee”)
* TranquilFury: Arguably more dangerous in this state as there’s more tact in the fighting than a normal rage rush. (“[[PunctuatedForEmphasis Leave. Me. Alone.]]”)
* TheTrickster: “Never conform!”
* {{Tsundere}}: Towards everyone, but mostly towards [[AuthorAvatar Cap]] to prevent ShipperOnDeck. (“I mix it with my cold personality.”)
* TheUnapologetic: Would rather die, but the reason behind it is because of her subconscious fear of being seen as weak. (“I must not show weakness!”)
* ViolationOfCommonSense: Due to a {{Curse}}, bad things happen if she follows the instructions or the rules and the more effort she puts into something the worse she gets - she either explodes violently or goes OneWingedAngel. (“Once I followed a recipe to cooking. The kitchen exploded.”) (It’s called the Spitecurse as a lot of the effects feels like she’s violating norms out of spite.)
* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: I left the relationship between her and Cap ambiguous but yes. (“NEVER HURT MY FRIENDS.”)
* WhiteMagicianGirl: Zigzagged, can go from a compassionate healer to an AxCrazy {{Tsundere}} in sconds. ("The healing stays the same.")
* YukiOnna: Associated with them due to ice powers. (“Won’t the long hair block their faces in the wind?”)

!! Tropes:
* BerserkButton: Has a few.
** VisualNovel/DokiDokiLiteratureClub, PERIOD. This is due to unfortunate coincidences with her powers. (“The story is meh, the gimmick is also meh, and THE FANDOM IS WHY I HATE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. The only thing that isn’t garbage is the music, period.”) (Note: A bit on the ambivalent side when it comes to the characters themselves, but can form an EnemyMine against larger threats.) (Note 2: Can extend to “SurpriseCreepy VisualNovel with FourthWallObserver BigBad”s in general, if you see her as a DeconstructedCharacterArchetype of said characters. Again, the reason is mentioned in the trope description itself.) (Note 3: Despite the fandom being her least favourite part of the entire thing, they come up with some good puzzles.)
*** ESPECIALLY comparisons. (“I’LL WARP YOU!”)
*** Voluntary visits to the VN or the Pantheon is fine as she’s the one going to the VN, but forcing her into the VN without her consent is one. (“There’s VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin and the [[Pantheon/FearsomeArchetypes Pantheon]] as a medium of communication, as they redeemed everything with the Takeover. Still hate the VN as a whole.”)
** TL,DR? The fandom harassing soured her view of the game, but relations has been improving, with both sides now having a FriendlyEnemy dynamic. (“They have a GoldenEnding, I’m happy how the creator handled it, MASSIVE redemption point.”)
* BlowYouAway: Has wind powers, but otherwise doesn’t do too much. (“Monica Gust!”)
* BusmansVocabulary: Has a tendency to use terminology of a medium's production in her lines, like "exit stage left" on a play. ("More due to powers and less due to savviness.")
* {{Catchphrase}}: “真係多得你唔少…” (“Gee, thanks a LOT” in a sarcastic tone in Cantonese, StealthPun of [[Creator/LeslieCheung “Monica”]].)
* TheEveryman: Bit plain compared to the others (least tropes), but her FourthWall powers makes her stand out from other examples. (“Even my name has the character for plain in it.”)
* FourthWallObserver: The strongest one. Is the only one to use NinjaProp. (“I can smash you with the dialogue box.”)
* GenreSavvy: Part of the package of a FourthWallObserver. (“Lampshades everywhere!”)
* InteractiveNarrator: What did you expect? ("Only in VideoGames or VisualNovel though.")
* JackOfAllStats: The average one. (“I’m the middle of the road one.”)
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: Serves as one to Joanne if she has a bad day. (“Gloominess, DelicateAndSickly, the occasional {{Yandere}} outbursts… They all make sense now!”)
* MagicalComputer: I mean, when she uses her programming powers she either uses one or a specialised glove. ("[[ImprobableUseOfAWeapon It's also durable enough to be used as a bludgeon!]]")
* MeaningfulName: 平 can mean plain. (“Self explanatory.”) (Note: her associations with eagles and CherryBlossoms is due to the Cantonese pronunciations for 英,櫻 and 鷹 being identical.)
* MellowFellow: The least aggressive of the Legion. Not that it will save you from a BerserkButton induced rampage. (“*calmly sips tea or something*”)
* NinjaProp: The main user of these. ("Ayo can I borrow the dialogue box to use as a platform AND a bludgeon?")
* OminousVisualGlitch: An indicator of anger. (“*bzzt* DIE. *bzzt*”)
* PlayfulHacker: Her role when it comes to intel gathering and detective work, screwing with the enemy's systems. ("BEGONE, [[RobotMe ROBO]][[EvilKnockoff -RIPOFFS]]")
* SignatureLaugh: “Ahaha! (Plain sounding)” (“Something like [[VideoGame/KirbyTripleDeluxe Queen Sectonia’s]] if I’m angry.”) (sidenote: NoblewomansLaugh if she's taunting you.)
* SpectacularSpinning: One of her air attacks involves her creating a giant tornado around her that absorbs projectiles. She can then slam her foot on the ground, releasing the tornado AND the absorbed projectiles. ("It's called the Spinning Strike!")
* StatOVision: Major point in games. (“HP:1? What is this, [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Shedinja?]]”)
* TechnoWizard and {{Technopath}}: Part of her Meta powers is manipulating code. (“I’m a programmer!”)
* RealityWarper: Can seal other Wallbreaker's powers with her own Wallbreaking powers. IN THE WALLBREAKER'S HOME TURF. ("Wanna see me seal Adam Conover's powers in an episode of his own show and wanna see me do it again?")

Not only do we have to be hyper aggressive to handle this, my FourthWall abilities bouncing off of them onto my friends is also a problem, and I had to delete my own route to spend more time weakening the damage dealt and to protect myself. Worse still, their malice plus me charging up one final attack to remove them from the narrative actually breaks down the Benders’ bodies. The original protagonist (and therefore plot) was someone trying to [[TheAtoner make up for some incident that involved them]]. 629* AxCrazy: Has the potential for great murder. (“Hehehe…”)
* BigBreastPride: The one thing she’s proud of. Jokingly referred as a fat storage. (“The one thing that makes me less depressed.”) (“[[MarshmallowHell *Muffled screams from Carrie*]]”)
* BloodKnight: Likes fighting and studying war tactics. (“A distraction to life.”)
* BowsVersusCrossbows: Crossbow camp - She has one! (“Pierce the armour!”) Overlaps with TheStraightAndArrowPath.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: Tough axefighter, but is quite gentle otherwise. (“Tis chill.”)
* CuteAndPsycho: Is either a sad yet huggable bun or a creepy {{Yandere}}. (“fufufu…”)
* CutenessProximity: [[ImTakingHerHomeWithMe “Fuwa~!”]]
* DelicateAndSickly: Has the in universe equivalent of arrhythmia. The deadliness flip-flops all the time. (“Mugyun…”)
* DishingOutDirt: Elemental affinity. (“I can [[ExtremeOmnivore eat rocks]]!”)
* DreamWeaver and DreamWalker: [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventure Stand]], though since integrated to normal life. (“This makes me Literature/TheBFG or [[Franchise/TouhouProject the Doremy]] of the Alliance.”)
* DCupDistress: Again, like with Lily, playful as a response to Lily snarking at her. (“When I’m not happy about it is when people make jokes about [[VisualNovel/DokiDokiLiteratureClub bad posture]].”)
* TheEeyore: Constantly gloomy. Still a badass. (“Was slightly better before [[SuckySchool Evertree]] happened. Then the Evertree people poisoned me and it went downhill.”)
* ExtremeOmnivore: [[EatDirtCheap Eats rocks]] and cans. ("Reduces metal waste.") -> This allows her to spit gravel a la BulletSeed, storing the gravel in a pair of gizzards.
* GoodHurtsEvil: Replace “Good” with “Positively” or “Encouragement”, and “Evil” with “Shyness”, and you get someone allergic to positivity. (“A little bit is fine, but trying to encourage me when I’m simply trying to release personal issues in the form of spewing dark thoughts and you get an AxCrazy problem you have to deal with.”)
* HandwrapsOfAwesome: Her right hand is bandaged. Though it’s implied to be from SelfHarm. (“At least the blood adds power to unarmed strikes.”)
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: Really dislikes verbal compliments due to experiences at Evertree causing her (and everyone) to doubt its sincerity. On a good day this manifests as DismissingACompliment. On a bay day… (“I HATE VERBAL COMPLIMENTS. NOW DIE.”)
* HorrifyingTheHorror: At her worst state of anger, even classic horror villains avoid her. (“I’m not stuck with them, they’re stuck with me.”)
* LickingTheBlade: For that intimidation factor and the yandere-ish creepiness, also justified as coating the blade in saliva adds "extra zing to the stabbies". ("The bacterial infections! I get extra sickness owies to the stabby owies!")
* LightningBruiser: Deceptively fast for her armoured build and heart issues. (“Not counting Carrie’s SuperSpeed I would be the fastest runner here.”)
* LongHairIsFeminine: Even in combat, it’s still down. (“The flowing is cool.”)
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: A large one at that. (“Yes!”)
** Given Joanne’s more offensive style, ShieldBash and ShieldSurf is common as well.
* TheMiddleAges: Her main focus. (“I charge in battle like a KnightInShiningArmor!”)
* NightmareFetishist: Surprisingly obsessed with the concept of death. (“Then everyone acts like I have issues. It’s part of the cycle of life!”)
* PerkyGoth: Obsessed with dark things, surprising well adjusted not accounting the personality. (“A CUT above the rest!”)
* ProneToTears: “Don’t need explanation.”
* TheQuietOne: Doesn’t talk too much compared to others in the Benders. (“[[MeaningfulName 靜 means quiet!]]”)
* SelfHarm: “When in stress, I scratch my knees so hard it bleeds.”
* ShieldBash: The shield can be used to charge through large groups of enemies. (“It covers my entire body! I am a charging tank!”)
* SignatureLaugh: “ufufufu…” (“It’s creepy and that’s good.”)
* SilkHidingSteel: The most feminine and to a certain extent elegant of the Loopers. Then she [[GirlWithPsychoWeapon pulls out her axe.]] (“Be careful of who you mess with.”)
* SleepsInTheNude: “Much to everyone else’s annoyance!”
* SleepyDepressive: Downplayed. Pretty stable and less likely to be AsleepInClass. (“Speaking of which, it feels like all the illness and whatnot are downplayed from being away from Evertree.”)
* StringyHairedGhostGirl: Can evoke the image of one. (“…7…days…”)
* VerbalTic: “Mugyun…” It’s a cross between [[Memes/KatawaShoujo “hnnng”]] and [[Franchise/TouhouProject “mukyu”]]. (“It’s either a noise for pain or a general reaction.”)
** “When I feel down or nervous I do this… It makes me sound unsure…”
* WhenSheSmiles: Considering she’s TheEeyore, yes. (“Hehehe…”)
* {{Yandere}}: On a really bad day, and towards Monica. (“DO NOT TOUCH.”) Also note that she’s surprisingly not crazy, evil or particularly violent for one (not that it helps given that the Alliance are made up if people driven mad by society). The violent side only comes out if sufficiently angered. If anything she’s pretty sensible. (“I still carry the axe around, just in case I need to defend myself.”)

[[folder:Carrie]]
!!Carrie Ip (葉世嘉)
!!! Nicknames:: [[RedBaron Delightfully Insane Bomber]], Sato-Carrie, Carrina
!!! Symbol: A CartoonBomb
!!! “Lonelier than she’s willing to admit. Her fire abilities is speculated to be for coping with the coldness within her.” -The Handbook

A tiny MadBomber.

!! Tropes:
* AbsurdPhobia: Broken mirrors. ("You try getting trapped in one!")
* TheBabyOfTheBunch or TokenMiniMoe: Is two years younger than the rest of the crew and is the shortest. (“smol”)
* BeneathTheMask: Behind the craziness is a slightly bullied and slightly broken person. Is also actually very smart and calculated, if a bit gloomy. (“I can be surprisingly philosophical.”)
* BoyishShortHair: Very messy. (“Bombs!”)
* CasualCrucifixion: Well, considering one of her staple attacks involves crucifying herself then crashing into enemies like a rocket… (“Cross Missile always yes!”)
* CloudCuckooLander: [[TheAllSolvingHammer Wants to blow stuff up]], and has a really bizarre thought pattern. (“[[TrademarkFavoriteFood GRAPE]] [[BulletSeed GUN!]]”)
* {{Cyborg}}: Is mechanical inside. (“I mechanised myself!”) (Note: This makes her a HumanWeapon. She has an internal temperature regulation system that detects if she is overheating, causing her to vomit lava as a response. Fire, lava and hot water does not affect the system but the sun, too many clothes, hot food and spicy food does.) (“I like spicy food, just not too much.”)
* DeathAsComedy: Is the pioneer of Death Attacks, attacks based on death scenes from shows. (“Cross Missile!”) <- based on Meakashi-hen
* DelicateAndSickly: Has traits of anaemia after a SoapOperaDisease situation. (“I called it Key Weakness because of Creator/KeyVisualArts.”)
* DemolitionsExpert: On a good day, when everything’s in control. (“Now, we light the fuse.”)
* ElegantGothicLolita: “Much to the confusion of everyone else!”
* EveryonesBabySister: Not that she can’t protect herself, but if you attempt to harm her… (“I can HEAR the rest of the Alliance stampeding!”)
* ExplosiveStupidity: Zigzagged. While a bit cavalier when it comes to her explosives, she also has enough common sense to know when to use which type of her creations. Extends to fire. (“Size, contents (the type of explosive and how much), location, timing… All of it is important to ensure nothing goes wrong!”)
* FastballSpecial: She's the ball. ("CANNONBALLLLLLLLL!")
* FormalCharactersUseKeigo: Surprisingly, uses keigo (in the context of a hypothetical Japanese dub) even in her “Bomber” state. (“Confusing? Maybe. It’s HiddenDepths.”)
* FragileSpeedster: Really fast but easy to knock around. (“[[GlacierWaif I’m actually very]] [[StoneWall tanky]], [[PowerLimiter that’s for balance.]]”) (Self-Induced FridgeBrilliance: Carrie has the energetic attitude of a Speedster, yet emotionally insecure inside, Fragile!)
* GenkiGirl: NoIndoorVoice and energetic. (“WOO!”)
* GlacierWaif: “Otherwise known as Going Tank.”
* GradeSkipper: To deal with the [[IntelligenceEqualsIsolation bullying.]] (“That I do not like bringing up.”)
* HanahakiDisease: Parodied. Her right arm can turn into a [[AbnormalAmmo petal]]-shooting minigun and she has a backup one in her MOUTH. ("[[MundaneMadeAwesome Weaponisation!]]")
* HatesBeingAlone: Due to dealing with ostracism alone and partially breaking until her sister took her in to her group, Carrie prefers company with people, whether it be friends, family or a significant other. (“In fact, I may start curling into TroubledFetalPosition if I feel like I’m being left alone or abandoned. Living in a room by myself is slightly better as those I care about can still visit me, not to mention we take turns sleeping by ourselves at home.” (“Something something fear of exclusion and wants to feel needed?”) “Perhaps.”)
* HavingABlast: The MadBomber part is combined with this. (“Infuse my powers into a random object, instant BOOM!”)
* HiddenDepths:
** Don’t let her appearance and personality trick you into thinking she’s dumb. She’s a good poet apparently - literature’s her specialty. (“I can’t fit an entire poem in this quote.”)
** Given IntelligenceEqualsIsolation below, surprisingly insecure on her academic achievements and hates people praising her academic prowess. (“Sigh…”)
* InASingleBound: Can jump really high. (“I’m lightweight!”)
* IntelligenceEqualsIsolation: Reasoning behind DarkAndTroubledPast. (“I [[GradeSkipper skipped two years]] just to alleviate the situation.”)
* MadBomber: It’s in her title! (“On a good day, DemolitionsExpert.”)
* MagicFire: “The difference between Magical Fire and Physical Fire is that Magical Fire doesn’t cause physical burns or burn through flammable materials, only burning sensations and passive damage.”
* MagmaMan: “I CAN SWIM IN LAVA!”
* ManBitesMan: These ScaryTeeth are functional… (“*chomp*”)
* MiddleChildSyndrome: Averted. Despite being the fourth out of five in her family her siblings look after each other, with no sibling being more liked than any other. (“In fact, Callie, the one right in the middle, Weaponises this as she’s capable of gaining new abilities BECAUSE she’s in the middle. She’s technically TheLeader in terms of adventures, even!”)
* NoIndoorVoice: Very loud. (“AND [[LargeHam HAMMY AT TIMES!]]”)
* OnlySaneMan: Despite all the craziness she displays, Carrie tends to be the StraightMan when she needs to, and is surprisingly the most sensible of the Loopers. (“That’s my HiddenDepths.”)
* OralFixation: Matches, and occasionally the pins on her grenades. (“Hey, with how sharp my teeth are and my jaw strength I can actually [[PinPullingTeeth pull the pin off!]] Now THAT’S a Justified Trope!”)
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Tiny and can lift up many times her weight. (“Kinda like ants.”)
* PlayingWithFire: Closely linked to explosions. (“If you create fire, you need to know how to extinguish them. They’re just two sides of the same coin.”)
* ThePowerOfRock: Plays the electric guitar. (“(Guitar strum)”)
* PowerLimiter: Sometimes wear an eyepatch to control her powers. Locks herself in the basement just in case her powers go out of control. (“I’m thoughtful and sane enough to do that.”)
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Normally reddish-brown. Bright red when going OneWingedAngel. (“Family thing.”)
* ScaryTeeth: It’s presented as really [[AbsurdlySharpBlade sharp]] and sharklike. (“Mostly for intimidation to make up for a lack of size.”)
* ShoutOut:
** Her name and some powers is based on Literature/{{Carrie}}. (“Do not mess with me!”) (Also, she refers to emotional turmoil induced PowerIncontinence as “Going White”, a {{Pun}} and a joke on identical names.)
** SuperSpeed + BulletTime? Film/SonicTheHedgehog2020. (“I am speed!”)
** Has a UsefulNotes/LolitaFashion alternate costume that’s used in the Manga/RozenMaiden joke. (“That was me dying and reborning into a doll. Kind of weird but makes sense in a way.”) (It’s primarily white, StealthPun perhaps?)
** Has a glove and jetpack themed after [[Franchise/TouhouProject Flandre Scarlet.]] (“The glove recreates the power, the jetpack has wing crystal protrusions!”)
* SignatureLaugh: “Hekeke!” (“It’s actually more like a CreepyChild giggling, but it’s hard to express in text form.”) (Like Monica, she can pull off a REALLY good NoblewomansLaugh if she's taunting you.)
* TheStationsOfTheCanon: All Carries eventually develop {{Telepathy}} and/or {{Telekinesis}} and become VitriolicBestBuds with another Alliancer, usually but not always Lily. The one exception is a RoleSwapAU where her backstory is swapped with Lily's, with Lily going through hers instead. Role-swapped Carrie and Lily also act more like a BroodingBoyGentleGirl pair. ("Hey, the telepathy allows for planar communication!")
* StuffBlowingUp: Main power. (“KA-BOOM!”)
* SuperSpeed: Just part of her busted power kit. (“I can enter BulletTime!”)
* {{Telekinesis}}: Hey! Put that bucket of red stuff somewhere else! (“At least moving furniture isn’t a problem.”)
* {{Tomboy}}: Energetic and strong. (“WOO!”)
* TrademarkFavouriteFood: Grapes. (“That was from a very weird Manga/RozenMaiden joke, but I still like grapes.”)
* TrapMaster: Really good at trapping. (“A specialty.”)
* UseYourHead: One of her best attacks is a headbutt. (“[[BoringButPractical It’s pretty simple, but it deals a great amount of damage with relatively few resources.]]”)
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Lily. (“We fight each other a lot but we’re still good friends.”)
** This puts an interesting twist to TigerVersusDragon. Asian dragons are serpentine, and Carrie has a snake motif. Snakes are also (usually) smaller than tigers, which means they need to be tactical to survive a tiger attack.
* WarriorPoet: Good at fighting AND poetry. (“[[HiddenDepths Don’t judge a book by its cover.]]”)
* WhenSheSmiles: Usually either a SmugSmiler when the Mask is on or a PerpetualFrowner on her [[BeneathTheMask more aloof side]], so a genuine smile is very rare. (“Now you’re just making me shy!”)

[[folder:The Twins]]
!!Sylvia and Corey Siu (紹麗雅, 紹嘉兒)
!!! Nicknames: The Twins (Sylvia) The Shadowy Spirit (Corey) The Lightbeam
!!! Symbol: A Yin-Yang. Sylvia uses the black part and Corey the white.
!!! “These twins care for each other, willing to put aside some negative traits to protect each other.” (Both); “Someone trying to draw Tomoko Kuroki from memory, a Creator/TimBurton character, [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs Tim Burton’s Watamote]] - Either way, Sylvia enjoys her lack of popularity as she’s too panicky to socialise with others.” (Sylvia); “Corey’s personality varies as much as her roles. Whether a cheerful popular girl or a serious sister reeling Sylvia in or crazy, she can do it.” (Corey) -The Handbook

A pair of PolarOppositeTwins. Cares for each other a lot.

!! Tropes (Both):
* AxCrazy: Both can go buckwild over one another. Corey’s slightly worse in that she’s also slightly mad.
* BerserkButton:
** Mixing up their roles over their affinities. You’ll end up receiving a multi layered TwinSwitch.
** Hurting one and the other will go AxCrazy.
* BigSisterInstinct: Goes both ways, as mentioned.
* BouncingBattler: Coil Strike, in which the twins intertwine with each other and shoot at a target like a spring. After the attack ends the remaining energy turns their hair into huge pigtails.
* CoordinatedClothes: Matching hoodies.
* CombinationAttack: Twin Strikes.
* CreepyTwins: Can be if they have to.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Were Lily’s friends during HER DarkAndTroubledPast, and was targeted after Lily temporarily left. This led up to Sylvia’s right eye being slashed, forming her scar and Corey’s right arm being broken and unsuited for unarmed combat. It was that incident that activated their instincts: Sylvia a more physical fighter as she held back a bully with a powerful punch, and Corey a toolfighter for using a broomstick to ward off said bully. Functions as a very minor TraumaButton for Sylvia when the scar is involved, but the worst you’ll get is a stare.
* EnergeticAndSoftSpokenDuo: Corey’s the former, Sylvia’s the latter.
* FusionDance: Can fuse into one single unit called As One.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Sylvia’s bangs!
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Both ways, to a point where they can be seen as asexual to protect each other. Alternatively they just have high standards.
* NightAndDayDuo: It's obvious.
* PolarOppositeTwins: They contrast each other and love each other.
* PrehensileHair, If their hair is tied into a ponytail they can use it as an extra hand. OjouRinglets can be used as drills or springs.
* PsychicLink: Covered in TwinTelepathy below, but can be turned off.
* RedOniBlueOni: Sylvia (Blue) to Corey (Red). Reverses in specific scenarios.
* SanityBall: When one does crazy things, the other will be their CloudcuckoolandersMinder.
* SiblingYinYang: It’s obvious!
* SignatureLaugh: “Ha ha ha!” (Sylvia, sounds like an EvilLaugh due to not laughing since the DarkAndTroubledPast) “FAHAHAH!” (Corey, similar to the infamous “[[VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry Shion Laugh]]”. Jokingly referred as shion.wav due to the similarities.)
* SleepCute: Both when together and when they’re sleeping by themselves. By extension, BeautifulDreamer between each other, appreciating the other.
* SuperiorTwinTeamwork: Has access to what are basically [[VideoGame/MarioAndLuigi Bros Attacks]].
* TagTeamTwins: It’s obvious.
* TenderTomboyishnessFoulFemininity: Downplayed. They both have good sides and bad sides, just that Corey is slightly more aggressive.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Sylvia is the introverted, StoneWall tomboy, Corey is the outgoing, GlassCannon girly girl. Sylvia likes football. Corey likes art.
* TrademarkFavouriteFood: Egg waffles, but because it’s an InherentlyFunnyWord.
* TricksterTwins: ESPECIALLY if Higurashi is involved.
* TwinSwitch: Is good as disguising as one another. So good that they can pull off multi layered ones to fry your brain.
* TwinTelepathy: It can be used like a telephone. Also doubles as {{Synchronization}} or SeeingThroughAnothersEyes.
* {{Yandere}}: A rare familial example towards one another. If one gets hurt, then [[AngstySurvivingTwin all hell breaks loose.]]
* YoureDrinkingBreastMilk: In a special case of CrazyPrepared, the twins can lactate in emergencies.

!! Tropes (Sylvia):
* AcademicAthlete: The most athletic of the Loopers. Has at least decent grades. (“I’m no DumbMuscle. I coordinate activities!”)
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: More due to NoSocialSkills but this is the presentation. ("Still, Corey.")
* ArentYouGoingToRavishMe: Exploited to creep out any would-be assaulters. (“That, plus a huge amount of defence, makes me impossible to assault.”)
* AppropriatedAppellation: Call her “Demotivated Tomoko” or something along the lines of that and she takes it as a compliment. (“That also implies that they think that Tomoko is just me with proper motivation. Which is a win-win to me!”)
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: Hits hard, takes in hits hard, has a cold exterior, but cares deeply for Corey. (“That’s obvious.”)
* CastingAShadow: Main power. (“Defensively!”)
* CluelessChickMagnet: If the constant mentions of TemptingFate regarding her avoiding social contact and invoking creepiness isn’t an indicator, she’s naturally seen as cool, even at her worst moments. However, due to self-loathing levels of self doubt and defensive NoSocialSkills… (“-_-“)
* ColdHam: Even with her usual personality she can get really hammy at times. (“[[IncrediblyLamePun Mmm, cold cuts!]]”)
* CreepyLonerGirl: Mostly a compound of NoSocialSkills and the ExhaustedEyebags. Intentionally creates this image so people will stay away. [[EpicFail People still try to socialise with her.]] ("And people still try to socialise with me? I'm sure all these 'friendly greetings' are backhanded malice because I'm creepy and whatnot.") (Last time someone tried to use SayMyName to greet her, they ended up with a roundhouse kick in the face.)
* DarkIsNotEvil: Black wearing and gloomy, yet a nice person. (“They recognised it.”)
* DrearyHalfLiddedEyes: Sleep deprived due to nightmares of Corey getting hurt. (“I want sleep.”)
* TheEeyore: More of the “accepts her fate as it is” type. (“I gave up long ago.”)
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: “All part of the package, guys. All part of the package.”
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: Known to be oddly charismatic towards other girls. (“That sixpack combined with a balance of sensible and bizarreness really does wonders, eh?”)
* ExhaustedEyebags: A way to recognise her when she’s disguised as an IdenticalStranger. (“Good spies have subtle tells. It’s hard to notice but it’s there for their teammates.”)
* ExpressiveAccessory: Sometimes has a cup of steaming tea on her head. Thick, regular puffs of smoke indicates happiness. Wispy, regular puffs of smoke tiredness. A bursting stream of thick smoke angry, a bursting stream if thin smoke scared, and a low circling smoke sadness. (“No one knows why it’s there but it’s there.”)
* FriendToAllChildren: Surprisingly popular with those younger than her due to her supposed coolness and BigSisterInstinct. (“I tend to act my best around them. I may be flawed but that doesn’t mean I won’t try my best.”)
* {{Goth}}: Slightly. Can use [[GothGirlsKnowMagic shadow magic.]] (given that everyone has powers that last bit isn’t actually important) (“I like the aesthetics.”) Crosses into PerkyGoth territory on a good day. (“Don’t take that for granted.”)
* GrappleMove: The grab itself cannot be escaped. (“Great for [[{{Fingore}} denailing]] without some confining straps.")
* HatesBeingTouched: Again, lack of social skills. (“I’ll even coat myself in corrosive darkness that melts your arm off from contact because people just keep trying to socialise with me!”)
* HatesSmallTalk: “[[NoSocialSkills WELL…]]”
* HeavySleeper: It’s a way to handle waking up at night due to nightmares. (“Not that it works.”) (Usually TheInsomniac because of nightmares but is hard to wake if sleeping)
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: What else do you expect from her manga tastes? ("You DID say I have a complex over it...")
* ICallHimMisterHappy: The Black Forest. (“Sometimes when I get a power surge it becomes the [[PowerDyesYourHair Silver Forest]].”)
* MasterOfDisguise: Can pull off good disguises even without the watch. (“You thought Corey would fit this role because of her performance skills? TOO BAD, GET SYLVIA’DDD!”)
* MegatonPunch: A finisher move. (“Can launch real hard.”)
* MoodSwinger: Basically connected to SituationalSociability: It reflects her social levels. (“On a really bad day I go Sicko Mode to release the pent up crazy.”)
* MusclesAReMeaningful: One of the most physically capable Alliancers, being a LightningBruiser. Hides a six-pack under the oversized hoodie, gained from constant combat training. ("They can produce sound as well! I play the flute but I am a natural drum kit!")
* NoSocialSkills: Introverted and awkward. (“Unless Corey is around, please don’t talk to me…”) It’s better when not in Evertree, but still a bit shy. Has a major complex over it.
* OnlySaneMan: The least insane of the loopers. (“Then I’m forced to socialise and then all is lost.”)
* TheQuietOne: A woman of few words. [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness Unless she’s rambling.]] (“This is how I avoid socialising.”)
* ScaryTeeth: A similar case to Carrie where it’s mostly for presentation and maybe to be more recognisable. (“Actually, using ScaryTeeth as a visual cue for Alliancers are quite common. Pretty sure most of us use this as a visual representation of power.”)
* ShadowWalker: Part of the package. Corey has the inverted Lightwalking ability. (“Another day, another parallel.”)
* ShrinkingViolet: Mainly due to NoSocialSkills. (“…”)
* SituationalSociability: Among Alliancers or with Corey, talkative. By herself… (“Huh, I’m better than I seem.”)
* StoneWall: Very tanky. (“I AM THE DEFENCES!”)
* StringyHairedGhostGirl: “Another tactic that failed!”
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Mostly due to a combination of boyish interests and introversion. (“I like cute things as well, alright?”)
* {{Tsundere}}: Kind of, sort of. Acts cold and unapproachable to hide the NoSocialSkills part. And then there’s Corey. (“Will shed the shyness for Corey.”)
* WhenSheSmiles: Given who she is, yes. (“Too bad it comes off as a SlasherSmile half of the time.”)
* WhiteMage: Defensive support. Ironically wears black. (“Ha.”)

!!Tropes (Corey):
* BlackMage: Ironically wears white. (“ATTACK!”)
* BladeEnthusiast: Prefers bladed weapons to make up for the busted right arm. (“Switchblade!”)
* CheerfulChild: Happy and outgoing. (“And somewhat mad.”)
* TheFairFolk: Associated with fairies. Again, very aggressive. (“Also pranks. Don’t forget that.”)
* TheFashionista: Stylish. (“No comment.”)
* GoodIsNotNice: Has light powers but is also aggressive. (“BLINDING BEAM!”)
* GadgetWatches: Both twins wear one but half of the abilities are Corey-related: Invisibility and Unnoticeable. The others are Disguise (Sylvia uses this a lot) and [[GroundhogDayLoop Looping.]] (“[[{{Pun}} Watch]] out!”)
* GenkiGirl: After speedster Carrie. ("Releasing solar energy!")
* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: Due to interests combining with extroversion. (“Battling feels nice!”)
* GlassCannon: Powerful but frail. (“As if that busted arm isn’t bad enough already…”)
* HiddenDepths: Does have a colder, darker side. ("Maybe I'm a StepfordSmiler. Who cares?"). Being affected by the [[GoodHurtsEvil Kita]][[Manga/BocchiTheRock -Aura]] and disliking people getting too close despite having TheTease tendencies doesn’t help. She can also be a NoSocialSkills ShrinkingViolet without pulling a TwinSwitch. (“Ooh, I’m probably worse than my sister in these moments.”)
* {{Invisibility}}: Can do so via a watch. (“It’s technically related to my light powers - I’m refracting light in a way to be unnoticeable.”) (Sidenote: It’s a mix of Koishi’s and Sunny’s in Touhou terms - She can also be unnoticeable using another function in the watch. This is due to a magical arrow to the head giving her Koishi’s [[PerceptionFilter ability to not be noticed.]])
* LargeHam: Loud and dramatic. (“I don’t need to explain this.”)
* LightEmUp: Main powers. (“BLIND THEM!”)
* LightningFireJuxtaposition: With Carrie (Fire). Both are very energetic, though Carrie presents it as raw genkiness and Corey tends to be a bit more aggressive. Carrie also shows her HiddenDepths more often. ("She considers me her best friend!")
** When Fire isn’t Carrie, it’s Sylvia. It still works as a contrast between a FieryStoic and a ShockAndAwe. (Both tie into the Light and Darkness thing as well, both are light sources, yet thunderstorms tend to appear in darkness caused by the thunderclouds)
* MiseryTrigger: Believe it or not, ButterflyKnife tricks. (“I’m kind of jealous of those able to do these tricks. Maybe it’s my broken arm, but no matter how many times I try, I scrape myself.”) Also leads to an OOCIsSeriousBusiness moment.
* NiceGirl: Aggressive tendencies aside, Corey’s one of the nicest Alliancers. Even in the off chance where she dislikes being noticed (turning on her PerceptionFilter), she’s still friendly and will secretly help others and be overall beneficial without being noticed. (“If it makes my actions one of TheSevenMysteries then I like to keep it that way, thank you.”)
* NightmareFuelStationAttendant: Can perform all sorts of creepy shenanigans while maintaining that idiotic smile. (“*[[ElectrifiedBathtub puts a toaster in a bathtub]]* *:D*”)
* PowerGlows: Sometimes her powers manifest as a glow around her. ("[[MundaneUtility Emergency lighting!]]")
* The PowerOfTheSun: Absorbs sunlight to recharge her light powers. Can also convert it into electricity. (“I AM A LIVING SOLAR PANEL!”)
* TheSocialExpert: Popular. (“I support my sister.”)
* ShockAndAwe: Only due to electricity being closely linked to light. (“Don’t forget the taser.”)
* TheTease: Only when she’s in the mood to mess with people. (“Don’t spoil my tactics!”)
* TokenEvilTeammate: Not exactly evil, but easily the least hinged of the Legion. ("Sticks out, especially considering NONE OF US are that sane to begin with!")
* UncannyValleyGirl: Popular and sociable, yes. Nuts, yes. (“shion.wav”)

[[folder:Legion of Loopers]]
!! Legion of Loopers (輪迴軍團)
!!! Other names: [[VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry The Club on Drugs]], The Legion, The Crazy 7
!!! Members: All 7 aforementioned characters

All 7 characters in 1 big group. Can be further split into The Twins, The Benders (more on them later) and Cap (alternatively, Paranormal Investigations Team, which is Benders and Cap) I use this for multi-character tropes.

!!Tropes:
* AbsurdlyPowerfulStudentCouncil: The Legion once got to be the student council and is capable of organising complex events, and reduce the impact of the Faction Wars to the uninvolved. Downplayed, they still have to negotiate with staff and the bully factions sending them threats almost daily, and they also have the “Student Council for a Day Experience” showing that it’s not as easy as others would assume. Kinda attributed to them having the strongest abilities, being the elites of the Alliance and actively looking out for others. The Twins are the co-presidents, Lily is the secretary, Joanne is the treasurer, Monica and Carrie are Public Relations (digitally and physically respectively) and Cap is the Event Person.
** In another case it's because there was no staff and only they bothered to look over the student body.
** As the Student Council they are also a Type 4 TheAllegedBoss: Competent, but maintains their quirks and is casual with other students - [[ReasonableAuthorityFigure they know how the students feel and listens.]]
* AnimalMotifs:
** [[NobleWolf Wolf]] or [[DragonsAreDivine Dragon]] for Cap
** [[PantheraAwesome Tiger]] (Cat) for Lily
** [[NobleBirdOfPrey Eagle]] for Monica
** [[NeverSmileAtACrocodile Alligator]] for Joanne
** [[WiseSerpent Snake]] for Carrie
*** [[AlternateSelf Carriants]] tend to have more variety, ranging from [[BloodsuckingBats vampire bats]] to [[HonorableElephant elephants]] to [[AsianFoxSpirit fox]][[FantasticFoxes es]].
** [[CreepyCrows Raven]] or [[OminousOwl Owl]] for Sylvia
** [[CleverCrows Crow]] or Sparrow for Corey
* BadassCrew: They all have crazy powers and they fight hard.
* CastFullOfCrazy or DysfunctionJunction: A disgraced Ancient, a bipolar traumatised girl with back pain, a FourthWallObserver who hates DDLC, a depressed axe lady, an outwardly hammy yet lonely inside kid, and a pair of PolarOppositeTwins with physical injuries, whose older one has NoSocialSkills and the younger one AxCrazy. This is just the beginning.
* ColourCodedCharacters:
** Cap is associated with [[BlueIsHeroic Navy Blue]]
** Lily is associated with [[GracefulLadiesLikePurple Pur]][[PurpleIsPowerful ple]]
** Monica is associated with [[CheeryPink Mage]][[PinkHeroine nta]]
** Joanne is associated with [[RedIsHeroic Rust]] [[RedIsViolent Red]]
** Carrie is associated with [[FireIsRed Sharp]] [[RedOnesGoFaster Red]]
** Sylvia is associated with [[DarkIsNotEvil Bla]][[TheSacredDarkness ck]]
** Corey is associated with [[LightIsGood Wh]][[GoodIsNotSoft ite]]
* FighterMageThief and PhysicalMysticalTechnological
** Fighter and Physical: Joanne and Sylvia, both focusing on using their own strength.
** Mage and Mystical: Cap and Monica, the former being an EldritchAbomination and the latter being a RealityWarper when in a video game
** Thief and Technological: Lily, Carrie and Corey, Lily being a healer that balances the former two, Carrie being stealthy and using gadgets she makes, Corey using charisma and elemental or long range weaponry
* FlowerMotifs: They fit the characters as well! Note that this is a mix of Western and Hanakotoba.
** Cap: Fungus (It's NOT a plant! That alone emphasises his otherly nature.) Apparently it means resilience, solitude and loneliness. Which works: Cap is a {{Determinator}} when it comes to personal problems. He's mostly solitary back when he's an Ancient, but feels lonely when he doesn't feel respected.
** Lily: It's in the name. Means purity or [[YuriGenre Female-to-Female ships.]] I guess she's the latter?
** Monica: [[CherryBlossomGirl Cherry blossoms.]] Really boring in modern standards, but it symbolises gentleness and kindness, two things Monica excels in.
** Joanne: Plum blossoms. It means beauty and that works well.
** Carrie: I ended up picking red spider lilies. They make her a {{Foil}} to Lily (red spider lilies are NOT true lilies), and its symbolism with abandonment works with Carrie's fear of abandonment.
** Sylvia: Lilies-of-the-Valley (These aren't true lilies either). They symbolise trust and Sylvia is indeed a trustworthy person if she TRUSTS you.
** Corey: Narcissus aka Daffodils. A mix of respect (hanakotoba) and selfishness (Western). She cares and respects her sister dearly yet has a MASSIVE destructive streak.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble:
** Outside of Lily, Monica, Joanne and Carrie each representing Phlegmatic, Sanguine, Melancholic and Choleric respectively, Cap is Eclectic, shifting constantly between moods; Sylvia can be either of the introvert temperaments and Corey can be either of the extrovert temperaments.
* IconicOutfit: Everyone has something that is unique to them.
** Cap: Blue polo shirt and black shorts.
** Lily: White brimmed hat, purple and green striped tee with white jacket, jeans and white sneakers with charred soles. Red scarf and white gloves optional.
** Monica: Pink jacket above white tee and a knee length dress, usually magenta, or jeans.
** Joanne: White long sleeved blouse and pinkish-purple dress.
** Carrie: Red plaid coat over white or pink tee with a sun on it, shorts or jeans.
** Twins: Matching hoodies and leggings that matches the hoodie's colour (Black for Sylvia, White for Corey).
* UsefulNotes/JapanesePronouns (First Person):
** Cap: Uses any due to being a shapeshifter who uses a different one for each form
** Lily, Sylvia: [[{{Bokukko}} Boku]] or Atashi
** Monica, Corey: Atashi (former is mild yet cheery, latter is cheery yet assertive)
** Joanne, Carrie: Watashi (for the latter she uses it even if Boku or Atashi works better in her “Bomber” state)
* JumpOffABridgeRebuttal: Each would have at least one:
** Cap: “The bridge is on fire.”
** Lily: “I would be the first to jump.”
** Monica: “The drop is very low.”
** Joanne: “I’d jump even WITHOUT my friends jumping…”
** Carrie: “[[CallBack I accidentally set the bridge on fire…]]”
** Sylvia: “How offensive to someone who avoids social contact.”
** Corey: “I can be quite the thrill-seeker!”
* NiceMeanAndInBetween:
** Nice: Cap and Monica. Both are chill though BewareTheNiceOnes.
** Mean: Lily and Carrie. Both are DeadpanSnarker and are VitriolicBestBuds.
** In Between: Joanne and the Twins. Joanne and Sylvia have MoodSwinger tendencies while Corey has UncannyValleyGirl tendencies.
* PersonalityPowers: Fits perfectly.
** Cap: Bizarre and alien, as a RealityWarper.
** Lily: DefrostingIceQueen.
** Monica: Floaty and unfocused.
** Joanne: Gloomy and steely.
** Carrie: HotBlooded.
** Sylvia: DarkIsNotEvil, but a bit shy.
** Corey: [[GoodIsNotSoft Outgoing trickster.]]
*** The Twins in general has a strong bond between each other, so TwinTelepathy fits perfectly.
* RedBaron: (Including stuff already mentioned)
** In general: Interdimensional Warriors
** Cap: The Ancient Leader
** Lily: The Purple Demon
** Monica: Eyes Beyond Reality
** Joanne: Crazy Axe Lady
** Carrie: Delightfully Insane Bomber
** Both Twins: Chaotic Destructive Twins
*** Sylvia: Chaotic Destructive Older Twin
*** Corey: Chaotic Destructive Younger Twin
* SevenDeadlySins and SevenHeavenlyVirtues: Can get extremely muddy, so I'm not going over specifics.
* SignatureMove: Everyone has at least two, here are the main ones:
** Cap: [[WaveMotionGun Satelite]] [[BreathWeapon Beam]], [[UnrealisticBlackHole True]] [[EldritchAbomination Absorb]].
** Lily: [[AnIcePerson Freezing]] [[KamehameHadouken Ripple]], [[ChairmanOfTheBrawl Folding]] [[Creator/StephenChow Chair]].
** Monica: [[TornadoMove Moni-nado]], [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou Crash]].
** Joanne: [[AbsurdlySharpBlade Boneshredder]], [[SiegeEngines Trebuchet]].
** Carrie: [[ThrowDownTheBomblet Soda]] [[MadBomber Bomb]], [[SuperSpeed High-Speed]] [[UseYourHead Impact]].
** Twins: [[WaveMotionGun Double]] [[Anime/FutariWaPrettyCure Corkscrew]]. The resemblance to the Marble Screw is so strong they use it to [[TricksterTwins dupe the enemy into thinking it's the actual Marble Screw.]], [[InstantFlightJustAddSpinning Double]] [[HeliCritter Propeller]]. Can be used to start a wide variety of moves.
*** Sylvia: [[CastingAShadow Shadowy]] [[RapidFireFisticuffs Barrage]], [[WeirdnessMagnet Mind]] [[Manga/WataMote Breaker]].
*** Corey: [[RazorWind Rapid]] [[SwordBeam Slice]], [[{{Invisibility}} Presence]] [[Manga/KuboWontLetMeBeInvisible Remover]] (this one's for a DeconstructiveParody of Manga/KuboWontLetMeBeInvisible), otherwise [[StaticStunGun Taser]] [[ShockAndAwe Blast]]
* ShoutOut: If you squint, you may see resemblance between the Loopers and the [[VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry The Club]]. Spirit that's actually a god, their {{Miko}} or friend, their VitriolicBestBuds, girl who hangs out with them, typical protagonist kid, a pair of PolarOppositeTwins, and a missing/inactive sibling.
* TrueCompanions: It's kinda like a weird dysfunctional family at their boarding school, but a family nonetheless. (Sometimes Carrie's siblings serve as a SixthRanger and OnlySaneMan to the group.) (Considering that their real families aren’t around due to them living in boarding, this justifies their found family nature despite having equally good real families.)
* WeaponSpecialisation: (If there’s a change in trope names at least inform the owner of the sandbox before outright removing stuff)
** Cap: Two swords: A LivingWeapon (EmpathicWeapon) called Bloodblade, an equally Ancient (said to be forged by Cap’s imagination and is technically an extension of him) sword that [[AlwaysAccurateAttack redirects itself]] and can [[AbsurdlySharpBlade cut through all tangible matter]], plus a LimitBreak that makes the user [[TheJuggernaut indestructible]] when a gauge is filled; and the Concept Cutter, a sword that cuts concepts.
** Lily: [[TheGunslinger Modded Glock called Quickshot.]] Also likes [[ShotgunsAreJustBetter shotguns.]] Melee wise she prefers [[CarryABigStick blunt force such as hammers]], [[ChairmanOfTheBrawl folding chairs]] and [[SavageSpikedWeapons a kanabo covered entirely in spikes - the large spikes are covered in smaller ones..]]
** Monica: Anything goes, but prefers [[DeadlyDisc Circular blades.]] (thrown like frisbees) Or a marshmallow launcher shaped like a [[VideoGame/{{Splatoon}} Splattershot.]]
** Joanne: Axes. Alternately, a billhook.
** Carrie: Explosives, though [[ShovelStrike shovels tend to appear as well.]]
** Twins: A [[TheGunslinger Revolver]] or GoodOldFisticuffs (Sylvia), a [[StaticStunGun Taser]] or a switchblade (Corey)
* What’s in their names?
** Cap is a title that refers to his status as the unofficial official leader of the Alliance.
** Lily is named after the flower and her other name sounds similar to the name. Oh and the Pokemon reference.
** Monica and Joanne are normal names, but its prominence as character names in Hong Kong media makes it a [[StockForeignName Stock English Name]] of sorts.
** Carrie is named after the Stephen King novel.
** The Twins’s Cantonese names are phonetic approximations of their English names.

[[folder:The Benders]]
!! The Benders (元素四姊妹)
!!! Other names: The Mad 4, The Liter- [[KilledMidSentence (shot by Monica)]]
!!! Members: Lily, Monica, Joanne, Carrie

These four represent the four classical elements. The formation is as early as Lily's DarkAndTroubledPast with Monica and Joanne being her emotional support, and Carrie joining WAY later at the start of the story.

!!Tropes:
* BerserkButton: Same as Monica's one and only, exagerrated by the endless comparisons.
** The fans in Evertree trying to shoehorn every quartet into the roles of the titular club doesn’t help matters.
** In fact, them wearing the school uniform shown in game will cause some sort of allergic reaction that causes them to unlock a SuperpoweredEvilSide.
* BustContrastDuo: Either Downplayed or PlayedForLaughs or just a minor line, but Joanne and Monica vs Lily and Carrie.
%% * ClassicalElementsEnsemble:
%% ** Lily is [[IceMagicIsWater Ice]] (Winter)
%% ** Monica is Air (Spring)
%% ** Joanne is Earth (Autumn)
%% ** Carrie is Fire (Summer)
* EliteFour: Their affinities even form a [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Type Square]]!
%% * FourGirlEnsemble:
%% ** Lily is the TeamMom
%% ** Monica is the the airy one
%% ** Joanne is the busty one
%% ** Carrie is the boyish one
* FourTemperamentEnsemble:
** Lily is the mostly calm and collected Phlegmatic
** Monica is the outgoing and cheerful Sanguine
** Joanne is the gloomy and quiet Melancholic
** Carrie is the loud and insane Choleric
* LadyLooksLikeADude: Lily and Carrie, both due to BoyishShortHair. This leads to a [[BifauxnenAndLadette Tall Elegant (and somewhat aggressive) Person and Explody Aggro Gremlin]] dynamic.
** Conversely, this means Monica and Joanne has a [[LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine Airhead and Depressed Axe Wielder]] dynamic.

!!! Members: Lily, Monica, Joanne, Carrie, Cap

Benders plus Cap. A FiveManBand.

!!Tropes:
* BerserkButton: Comparing Cap to [[VisualNovel/DokiDokiLiteratureClub MC]]. If Monica doesn't shoot you that means it's a barrage of bricks, circular blades, billhooks, chakrams and Cap's WaveMotionGun. It's a freaking Touhou spellcard if you get to see it.
* CoolCar: A STEAMROLLER that Joanne owns, doubling as a Manga/JojosBizarreAdventure joke.
* Dere types:
** Lily would probably come off as a {{Tsundere}} due to cold personality
** Monica would be the basic "deredere" to indicate normalcy
** Joanne is our closest character to represent {{Yandere}}
** Carrie keeps [[SugarAndIcePersonality Kuudere]] under [[BeneathTheMask a mask]]. Yes, the cold side is the covered side.
** Cap is sometimes defined as a [[ShrinkingViolet Dandere]] due to alien social skills
* ElementNumberFive: Cap is Godly Powers. Using the Wuxing System, Cap becomes Metal and Monica Wood. (It gets messy when TheFourGods is involved as the elements shuffle due to AnimalMotifs for the characters.)
** TheFourGods: Just because the elements shuffle doesn't mean I can't try working it out.
*** Cap: Yellow Dragon as he sees all, though White Tiger if his swords are involved
*** Lily: White Tiger (motif) or Black Tortoise (Affinity)
*** Monica: Vermillion Bird (motif) or Azure Dragon (Affinity)
*** Joanne: Azure Dragon (motif) or Yellow Dragon (Affinity)
*** Carrie: Black Tortoise (motif) or Vermilion Bird (Affinity)
*** (So technically a variation: The Metal Dragon-Wolf, The Ice Tiger, The Air Eagle, the Earth Alligator and The Fire Snake)
* FiveManBand
** Cap is the Leader (He's CAP for Cap's sake)
** Lily is his Lancer (RedOniBlueOni buds)
** Monica is the Chick (Cheerful, though GenreSavvy and Lampshades common Scooby tropes)
** Joanne is the Big One (Has an axe and is a powerful fighter)
** Carrie is the Smart One (Analyses the situation and lays traps)
* ScoobyDooHoax: Their entire gig is a big Scooby joke.
** ScoobyDoobyDoors: Major part of the gig.
* ShoutOut: If the Other Names section and ThreePlusTwo below isn't an indicator, this is a Scooby Doo joke.
* ThreePlusTwo: Usually split into Monica-Joanne-Carrie and Lily-Cap.

! And a Bonus Character:

[[folder:Tiamat]]
!!Tiamat [[StevenUlyssesPerhero “Tiana Matthews”]] (提姐)
!!! Nicknames: More like titles, but Primordial Sea Goddess works
!!! Symbol: A five-stripes scarf with dragon heads on each stripe
!!! “[[Funny/DungeonsAndDragons Does not apologise for flooding your house.]] [[Anime/YourName Does apologise for meteor related problems.]]” -The Handbook

Me trying to incorporate Myth/MesopotamianMythology while minimising SadlyMythtaken. A bit of PragmaticAdaptation is still present.

!!Tropes:
* AdaptationalHeroism: In the original myth Tiamat is an AntiVillain. Here she’s a ChaoticGood AntiHero. (“I chilled out in between being slain and now.”)
* BreathWeapon: She can spew large amounts of seawater at once. (“People call it the {{Squick}}-tastic Tiamat’s Projectile Vomit!”)
* CompositeCharacter: [[TruerToTheText Mostly based on the myth]], but her scarf is based on her TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons take. She’s also explicitly the [[Anime/YourName comet of the same name]]. (“Not proud of 2013.”)
* CoolBigSis or MamaBear: Despite her mischievous nature, she is protective of her friends. (“The latter is an outlet for my vengeful streak.”)
* ExtremeOmnivore: Can digest basically anything. (“Thus justifying the RunningGag of Alliancers drinking soda by eating the can!”)
* KillItWithWater: See MakingASplash below. Her SignatureMove is flooding the foe with seawater. (“[[IncrediblyLamePun I guess that put salt in their wounds!]]”)
* MakingASplash: Sea goddess. (“A bit of my essence was dissipated in the sea in between forming Mesopotamia and regaining human form after new interest in Mesopotamian myths!”)
* MesopotamianMonstrosity: Zigzagged. Powerful, but not evil. (“We need more good-aligned depictions of both good- and evil-aligned Mesopotamian buddies in fiction.”)
* MotherOfAThousandYoung: Carried over from the myth. (“Still got it in me!”)
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Not only does she take on a dragon form due to convenience, there’s a LOT of different dragons in the City as well. Just in her friend group we already have a Western, an Eastern, a Wyvern (on par with the rest no less), a LandShark, THE [[Myth/AztecMythology Quetzalcoatl]] (also buds with Cap), Gender-flipped [[Literature/TheSagaOfTheVolsungs Fafnir]] (For a FemaleMonsterSurprise and to show a HeelFaceTurn), and a (female) Tarrasque that she goes out with. (“The two that the kid knows is the Western and the Wyvern.”)
* PalsWithJesus: Gets along with the rest of the Alliance. Cap is a mutual friend. (“There was this Alliancer kid who was studying dragons, and I was chilling with a bunch of other dragons at the time, and apparently the kid knew at least two of them! And he knew (Cap) as well!”)
* ScarfOfAsskicking: Not just any normal scarf, an EmpathicWeapon with 5 dragon heads at the ends, each shooting out the BreathWeapon of the head's [[TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons colour.]] ("This is a certified [[VideoGame/YoKaiWatch Octo Snake]] moment!")
* SignatureLaugh: A mischievous, WesternAnimation/ScoobyDoo-esque “Reeheeheehee!” (“Mischief managed!”)
* SignatureMove: [[KillItWithWater Saltwater]] [[BreathWeapon Breath]], [[AllYourPowersCombined Chromatic]] [[ScarfOfAsskicking Scarf]].
* TraumaButton: [[Anime/YourName Destroying Itomori due to being too fast to recover a falling mushussu.]] Copes well enough to use herself as an example to be careful when flying over human settlements. (“In a way, I have a close link to Japan - I have [[AlternateSelf Echoes]] in FGO and Megami Tensei as well.”)
* VitriolicBestBuds: Given that my take on Myths tend to be TruerToTheText with a bit of CompositeCharacter of modern takes, this is her dynamic with Bahamut, which takes on the original myth’s piscine form. (“Fish-Man and I ain’t even from the same mythology!”) <- Fish-Man is both a mispronunciation of Fizban and a referral Bahamut being a giant fish
