Go To

Team Arrow has to deal with a new brutal Vigilante.
----
* AffablyEvil: Konstantin Kovar has very charming attire, he even offers Oliver dinner.
* ArcWords: Made by Kovar when he explains to Oliver that the Bratva is using him as a pawn.
-->'''Kovar''': Truth. It's a matter of perspective.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Artemis is secretly working for Prometheus.
* BlownAcrossTheRoom: When Vigilante is first introduced, he shoots two of the slavers in the chest and they're sent flying across the room and then he guns down the rest of them. This shows how dangerous and powerful of an opponent he is.
* BookEnds: The episode begins and ends with a police officer walking out of the precinct to find a presentation from a vigilante - the first time, it's a pair of dead criminals strung up by Vigilante. The second time, it's a live criminal tied up by Oliver.
* CabinFever: Diggle is feeling a little uneasy since he can't leave the basement in his civilian attire due to being a wanted man. Rene tries to help him by bringing his family for a visit in the end.
* CallBack: Diggle mentions Slade Wilson during the training session.
* DramaticUnmask: Defied. Oliver attempts to unmask Vigilante, but unfortunately Vigilante is CrazyPrepared having rigged the mask to explode should anybody try to remove it, which allows him to escape.
* TheExtremistWasRight: Team Arrow initially supported Vigilante's actions and even Oliver had to concede that the reason why the brutal Vigilante appeared, was that the Green Arrow's gentler methods weren't working and the city kept getting worse.
* FireForgedFriends: Rene has come to view Diggle as a friend after the help he gave him, paying him back by helping to arrange for Dig to be able to celebrate his son's birthday with him and Lyla.
* GoodCopBadCop: Used several times.
* HadToComeToPrisonToBeACrook: Eric Dunn was framed, but still got sentenced for a crime he didn't commit. He later was released on parole and didn't even hesitate to rob banks with his crew.
* HeroicBSOD: Laurel's death has really broken Quentin, to the point Thea checks him to rehab to finally get him sober.
* {{Hypocrite}}: The recruits at first are tempted to turn a blind eye to Vigilante's killing criminals, but Oliver is quick to remind them how disgusted they were when they found out he was the Hood.
* KnightTemplar: Vigilante to a t, complete with dismissing civilian casualties as collateral damage and threatening to kill Oliver's crew in order to make him more efficient in his eyes.
* TheMole: Artemis is one for Prometheus.
* NotSoSimilar: The recruits see a lot of a parallels between Oliver and Vigilante. Ultimately the two are not due to one primary difference - Vigilante will kill innocent people to get to his target, and writes it off as "collateral damage", Green Arrow will only kill those who deserve it and then only as last resort...[[WhatMeasureIsAMook usually]].
* OhCrap: Thea and Oliver realize that Prometheus trying to frame Quentin means he knows that Green Arrow is also Oliver Queen.
* RankScalesWithAsskicking: Konstantion Kovar is a very efficient fighter, who manages to overpower Oliver without any of his men interfering.
* SexSlave: Vigilante rescues a girl from human traffickers at the beginning of the episode.
* StealthHiBye: Vigilante vanishes quickly after distracting Team Arrow from time to time.
* ThenLetMeBeEvil: Eric Dunn was sentenced to Iron Hights as an innocent man. He came out not so innocent.
* UnwittingPawn: Turns out Flashback!Oliver was manipulated by the Bratva, who is in league with Kovar.
* WhamLine: Artemis telling Prometheus "They don't suspect a thing."
* WhamShot: The episode ends with Artemis and Prometheus meeting on a roof together.
