->'' “When considering the history of multiversal exploration in Equestria, one must remember that the groundwork for travelling between universes was already established long before the time of Princess Twilight. While it is true that Princess Twilight had begun the modern age of multiverse exploration, she merely perfected the method of traversing parallel worlds into a practical form, and her endeavors began as a private project exclusive to only her and her companions. ''\
'' Even so, however, without her insight into the full implications of its potential, modern trans-universal colonization and commerce would never have occurred. And without her support and efforts to gradually expand this endeavor into a national, then international, and eventually cross-universe enterprise, the benefits and impacts of inter-universal travel upon this Equestrian society and many others would never had been fully realized.” ''

''Equestria: Across the Multiverse'' is an ongoing RoundRobin ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' fanfic series by Creator/BrutalityInc, Creator/{{Godzillawolf}}, Creator/AlexWarlorn, and many other writers.

Inspired by her previous adventures with [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls Sunset Shimmer's world]] and wanting to continue in Starswirl's footsteps, Twilight, with help from Sunset Shimmer and company, invents a portable transdimensional portal projector. What follows is an exploration of the multiverse, visiting many strange, wonderful, and terrible worlds across existence.

!!This series contains examples of:
[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:A to C]]
* AdaptationalWimp: The Gods War Arc versions of Amicitia and Harmony are both this compared to [[Fanfic/PonyPOVSeries their original]] [[Fanfic/TheBridge incarnations]]. In the originals, Amicitia is one of the strongest entities in creation and capable of planet buster level magic, while Harmony is a TopGod [[spoiler: and evenly matched with the Bridge version of Bagan and would have completely demolished Grand King Ghidorah with less than half her power]]. Here, they're ''much'' weaker than Gojira to the point [[spoiler: Bagan (who's stronger than Gojira but nowhere near as powerful as the Bridge Bagan) easily killed Harmony,]] who while powerful would be considerably weaker than either. Somewhat justified with Amicitia [[spoiler:considering the lion's share of the original's power is currently in Halflight Midnight and Amicitia's other spawn, rather than this version recreated from her.]]
* AlienGeometries: The Tenth Dimensional Ponies and their realms are this, at least from the perspective of nonascended ponies and in their true forms.
* AlienSky: The Twin Worlds Arc sees Daring Do's team arrive on another Equus. While they notice small differences... eventually Soarin' notices that there's another planet in the sky, revealing they're on a double planet system.
* TheAlliance: The aptly-named Multiverse Alliance, a coalition of parallel worlds which had united in friendship for the purposes of trade and mutual aid, with Mainline Equestria as one of its founders and leading members. The Alliance came to the aid of Mainline Equestria against the alternate Flim-Flam Brothers' Invasion and the forces of the Storm King.
* AllianceOfAlternates:
** The Mane Six often team up with their native selves if needed.
** During the Flim Flam Brothers' Invasion, Rainbow Dash teams up with Princess Rainbow Dash from Speed World and Shining Armor teams up with Sincere Heart, his alternate self from Ponyland.
** Several dozen Pinkie Pies come together... to prepare the jaunting base for a Hearth's Warming party.
** The Alliance in general counts, as Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Twilight are the leaders in a large number of universes composing it.
** The Grand Changeling Compact, a subgroup within the Alliance, is composed of many different Changeling monarchs, but obviously a number of Thoraxes and benevolent Queen Chrysalises.
** The Discord Continuum is a multiversal alliance of Discords, Accords, and other related entities united...[[{{Troll}} to annoy Twilight Sparkles and starship captains on a multiversal scale]]. An obvious ShoutOut to the Q Continuum.
** A VillainTeamUp of Accords is mentioned as having fought and been defeated by the Discord Continuum offscreen.
** The Storm Empire is an alliance of Storm Kings from across the multiverse formed out of strength in numbers. They [[PragmaticVillainy aren't an enemy of the Alliance because they have no interest in making enemies of other big fish in the multiverse]], and simply want to focus on keeping their empire running. In addition, not all of them are ''evil''.
** The Legion of Santas is a multiversal alliance of Santas united to protect the holiday and spread good cheer on a multiversal scale.
* AlternateSelf:
** The Mane Six tend to run into these ''a lot''.
** Some universes have ponies who have different names but are clearly alternate versions of ponies. The Lighting the Darkness Arc has Sunny Day and Moonshine, alternate versions of Celestia and Luna, and the Deep Blue Sea Arc has nearly everyone like this, including the Elements (which have their counterparts, the Elements of Unity, which have different names). The Ponies and Giants Arc has the "Giant Six", who despite not being ponies are heavily implied to be the Mane Six's counterparts in that universe.
* AlternateUniverse: The Mane Six are exploring these.
* AlwaysABiggerFish:
** In the world visited in the Gods' War Arc, the Princesses were killed by [[Franchise/{{Godzilla}} King Ghidorah]], who was in turn killed by Gojira, who is in turn overpowered by Bagan [[spoiler: who in turn is overpowered and killed by a Harmony powered Super Gojira]].
** The ''Mane Six'' are this for Lord Yomi's forces, as they're so used to dealing with people they have an insurmountable advantage over that they have no idea how to handle someone they don't.
** An EldritchAbomination tries to eat the G3 universe...only for a Tenth Dimensional version of Rainbow Dash to show up and stop it fairly easily.
** The Berry Triplets call in Godzilla Junior to help save the version of Ponyville being attacked by the Death Crawlers. The four surviving basic ones find out the hard way why Godzilla is the King of the Monsters, with only the Alpha able to fight Junior one on one.
* AncientOrderOfProtectors: It turns out the Isle of Pony's royal family are this. They're protecting caches of ancient magical creatures, artifacts, and more hidden beneath the Isle that could be used to take over the world if they ever fell into the wrong hands. Tales!Chrysalis was very intent on being those wrong hands, but Starlight, Patch, and Sweetheart manage to awaken three of them and send them against her.
* AntiMagic:
** Ponyland developed the Bleacher Missiles, which uses a warhead made with the same mysterious dark stone that made up Chrysalis' magic-draining throne from the FIM Season 6 finale. They were used successfully during the First Multiversal War against the alternate Flim-Flam Brothers' invading aerial armada, draining magic from its targets after impact (And even before that, going through the magical shields like they weren't there) and shutting down the magitech systems on-board.
** The Silent Brotherhood from the Hegemony are also called the 'Null-Knights', as their very presence could nullify all magic by virtue of being 'Blanks'. They are based on the Sisters of Silence from the 40K setting. Even the [[GodEmperor Empress']] own power is not immune to their effects, though luckily they serve her and are charged with guarding critical facilities and locations.
* ArcVillain: Several story arcs have their own BigBad the mane six have to contend with:
** The Gods' War Arc has [[{{Kaiju}} Bagan]], who's presently attacking Equestria.
** The Magenta Diamonds Arc has [[BackFromTheDead a resurrected]] [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyAndFriends King Lavan]].
** The Lighting The Darkness Arc has Lord Yomi, a demon who took over the alternate world.
** The Everfrost is this for the Deep Blue Sea Arc, which is trying to plunge the world into eternal winter.
** The Princess Twilight, Ruler of Equestria Arc has Grogar, the awakened ruler of Tambelon who seeks the power to rebuild his kingdom either on Equestria or in another world.
** [[Series/{{Ultraman}} Zetton]] is this for the Kaiju Ponies Arc, attacking the Mane Six and Junior shortly after arriving due to the Zettonians detecting the energy of the portal caster and seeking it for themselves.
** An alternate version of the Flim Flam Brothers become the first major threat mainline Equestria faces on a multiversal level, attacking them on their homeworld.
** The mainline Storm King becomes this for the Eye of the Storm Arc, having upgraded himself using the wreckage of the Flim Flam Brothers' invasion fleet to avert VillainForgotToLevelGrind.
** [[BigBadDuumvirate Queen Chrysalis and Black Star]] for the "Bearers of Two Worlds Arc".
** Tales!Chrysalis for the Winter Wedding Arc.
** Pony Rangers!Nightmare Moon for the "Pony Rangers: Doomsday!" Arc.
** Bastemon/Catrinamon for the "Digimon Tales" Arc.
* ArcWords: A few.
** "The Die is Cast" - repeated across the narrative by different characters, usually referring to the consequences and fallout of the Jaunts. Usually, it is to signify their understanding that it is simply too late to turn back from the Multiverse the moment Mainline Equestria Jaunted, and the best could be done is to simply move forward and face whatever the Multiverse throws at them, reaping whatever benefits and costs it might bring.
** "[Noun] never questioned ANY order." - repeated mostly by the Mooks of the villains and antagonists in various arcs, usually when they carry out immoral or questionable orders from their leaders. Serves to highlight the ignorance, cowardice and irresponsibility of the Mooks in question to not think about the consequences of their actions, done in mindless obedience for their masters. A few of those Mooks however has or eventually musters the wits, wills and sense of duty to have a HeelRealization and switch to the good guys' side.
* AscendToAHigherPlaneOfExistence: The 10th Dimensional Ponies all collectively did this, becoming higher dimensional entities and functionally omnipotent.
* AssKicksYou:
** An evil human baron in the Ponies and Giants Arc got crushed under Amelia's rear when she slipped on some ice and fell on him rump-first; hard enough to ''leave a human-shaped dent in her armor''. Despite being a 100-foot BloodKnight, she's ''incredibly'' embarrassed about it.
** In another giant pony universe, the Mane Six--and ponies in general--are giants, and Pinkie does this to the native Chrysalis...while playing with a crowd of baby Changelings.
** A ponified Rox trips on a boulder and does this to a Ram Necromancer and some Uber Troggles. A vindicated Amelia laughs her flank off.
** Sunny Days also did this to a captured (and shrunken) Warlock during an interrogation.
** Applejack (made giant-sized by a reformed Luna) does this to a crowd of monsters in the ''Pony Rangers: Doomsday!'' arc. Notable for being the ''only'' time a lethal instance of this trope was done on purpose.
* TheAtoner:
** Old Starlight (the temporal duplicate of prime Starlight who had to make it back to the present of the Crystal War timeline from 20 years prior [[TheSlowPath the long way]]) has long since realized the BadFuture and everyone who died was all her fault for altering time for selfish revenge. Even after Sombra was defeated, she's still wracked with guilt and refuses Twilight's offer to finally get home to the prime timeline to help rebuild and make up for all the suffering she caused.
** Another Old Starlight is present in the invading Flim Flam Brothers' timeline, having been created the same way and being another of Starlight's temporal duplicates. Like the above, she's come to feel immense guilt for what she did and risks herself to escape back to the prime timeline and warn them of the incoming invasion as well as help defeat it in atonement for her mistake.
* AwakeningTheSleepingGiant:
** The Storm Empire is well aware of this trope, and as such refuse to antagonize other worlds outside their control for fear of bringing one down on themselves.
** Tales!Chrysalis ended up doing this when her assault on the Isle of Pony ends up resulting in the world's native, previously hidden Unicorn, Pegasi, Flutterpony, and Sea Pony kingdoms deciding to intervene and join the fray against the Neo Hooviets.
* BadassBoast: In the Lighting the Darkness Arc, Applejack gives one to a Lesser Demon.
--> '''Lesser Demon''': You dare defy me, mortal?!
--> '''Applejack''': Nah, we dare kick yer sorry flank.
* BadassTeacher: Cheerilee's twin sister Cherry Blossom may be a better fighter, but she ''did'' fill in for Cherry as the Mysterious Mare and learn to fight. And has access to [[PoweredArmor a Mass Production Paladin Armor]] suit (though one meant more for search and rescue work). When she finds out her ''Fanfic/CheerileesGarden'' counterpart is trying to murder her class, she goes straight up ImplacableMan on her. [[spoiler: Though ultimately [[TalkingTheMonsterToDeath defeats her in a less than violent way]] when she catches her.]] She later holds off the Alpha Death Crawler using a Construction Paladin Armor while buying time to summon help.
* BaitAndSwitch: [[spoiler: Cheerilee looks ready to attack an evil alternate version of her upon finally catching up with her. Turns out she was just pinning her down so she could [[TalkingTheMonsterToDeath talk her into giving up.]]]]
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor:
** In the Magenta Diamond Arc, Discord [[spoiler: gives Silver Spoon her request to be a Gem so she can fuse with Diamond (who is a literal [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse Diamond]]).]] Not only does [[spoiler: the programming cause a lot of problems]], Discord finds that he can't reverse it. Notable that Discord himself didn't ''mean'' for it to backfire.
** Tales!Chrysalis wanted to take over the Isle of Pony and form her own kingdom...her final fate is [[spoiler: being banished to a habitable, but utterly lifeless, Equus in a dead universe; ''and'' she's made partially immortal so she can't simply commit suicide or starve herself. There are also myriad security systems to make sure she can not escape or be rescued, '''EVER'''. [[AndIMustScream She'll be alone forever, in a kingdom of one.]]]]
* BecomingTheMask: One timeline the mane six visit sees Thorax and his brother Pharnyx's having experienced a role reversal with Thorax being the tough and aggressive one with his brother as the meek one. General Thorax actually ''did'' intend to just use Spike to invade the Crystal Empire...but gradually genuinely became his friend and betrayed Chrysalis to defeat her.
* BehemothBattle:
** God's War and its spin offs feature several, normally pitting heroic kaiju vs King Ghidorah or Bagan. The MirrorUniverse version has a good King Ghidorah and Bagan vs a possessed, evil Gojira.
** The Kaiju Ponies arc naturally has this, with the first one shown being Godzilla Junior and the kaijufied Mane Six vs Zetton.
** The FinalBattle of the Eye of the Storm Arc is [[spoiler: Rodan, Ultramare Harmony, and Seiryu vs the Storm King's HumongousMecha Zeus.]]
** A ''science fair'' ends in one when Princess Apple Bloom from Bright Future and the Mechanicum tech-priests of the Hegemony get into an escalating competition ending in Apple Bloom's Ultra Battle Bot vs the Mechanicum's Warlord-class Titan. After both mechs wreck each other, they start building ''bigger'' ones until their respective Twilights put a stop to it.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: The Mane Six as a whole. They ''always'' come in peace and want to make good relations with the natives. If the natives aren't so good, however, they're not afraid to defend themselves or kick flank to help people.
* BlockingStopsAllDamage: One universe involved is ''VideoGame/ThemsFightinHerds''. The natives of that particular universe can invoke this trope, which confuses people of other universes.
* BoringButPractical: Platformer Equestria's unique magical techniques tend to be fairly basic, such as anchoring yourself in place or a ShockwaveStomp, compared to some of the other world's unique ones, but they're also comparably easy to learn and useful in a wider number of situations.
* BottomlessMagazines: Played with, as it depends on which universe a person is from. Also justified in many cases as BagOfHolding spells exist and thus magazines with a far larger capacity than normal are entirely possible.
* ByThePowerOfGrayskull:
** The Advanced Paladin Armors have "Paladin System Activate! Armor On!", the mass production models omit the first phrase and simply use "Armor On!". It's also a voice recognition security check, which is why the mass production versions (which aren't assigned to any single user) use the shorter phrase. The same is true of the Bard Armor, likely because it's impossible to use by anyone without Innocence Magic to begin with. The Black Ops mode is activated by saying 'Black Ops mode, engage', and can be turned on regardless of whether or not the armor is activated.
** The RANGER Armor simply uses the phase "Equip!"
** [[EvilKnockoff The Blackguard]] armor uses "Codeword: Wish in the Dark." In this case, it's a voice recognition ''and'' password to activate the armor.
** Tales!Chrysalis's armor uses "Dark Queen".
** The Guardians of Innocence, being {{Magical Girl}}s, have "Time to play!" as theirs.
** The Kamen Riders naturally use some variation on "Henshin!", though Gilda uses "Amazon!" being an Amazon expy.
** The Pony Rangers of course have "It's morphing time!" followed by their animal name. The Prism Rangers have the same, but use "(Insert Color Here) Prism Power!" instead.
** The Beetleborg CMC have "Beetle Bonders! Beetle Blast!" This is also done by Pony Rangers!Babs Seed when she borrows the White Blaster Beetleborg powers.
** Checker Monarch/Grimlord has "Forces of darkness, empower me! Take me back to my virtual reality!"
* TheCavalry: Many of the more powerful allies to the Jaunters become this in time, with figures like Seiryu and the [[FanFic/TheBridge Amalgam'verse Kaiju]] getting called in when the situation needs the big guns.
* CallingYourAttacks:
** The Paladin Armor's users yell "Magic Surge" when going for a FinishingMove. Justified as the vocal statement activates the function in the suit.
** Given their home universes, [[Franchise/KamenRider the Legendary Riders]], [[Series/BigBadBeetleborgs Beetleborg CMC]], and [[Franchise/PowerRangers Pony Rangers]] all do this, though the Beetleborgs do it the least often. Ultramare Harmony also does it with her attacks.
** Users of Fabulousity (a power that people from a specific Equestria can use powered by how fashionable they are) do this with ''poses'', which become KiManipulation in their hands.
** As in canon, Franchise/{{Digimon}} do this as well.
* CameBackStrong:
** One version of Celestia the group meets [[HeroicSacrifice sacrifices herself by self destructing in a supernova like blast]] to destroy a planet-killing asteroid. However, as she's dying, she realizes that the asteroid contained a {{Kaiju}} that was now heading towards Equus to destroy it. Her HeroicWillpower causes her to miraculously reform from the supernova and [[Franchise/UltraSeries resurrect as an Ultra]]. She's also an infant of the same class of Ultra as [[PhysicalGod King, Noa, and Legend.]]
** In one worldline based off ''Literature/WarOfTheWorlds'', the Thunder Child was destroyed in its HeroicSacrifice as in the original story, but the Matrix of Nobility reacted to its crew's nobility and heroism and saved them while rebuilding the ship as as a futuristic mecha ''way'' stronger than before. It's also now able to [[CombiningMecha combine with Great Traveler to form Thunder Traveler]].
* CentralTheme: A few.
** No one can achieve anything meaningful on their own, especially in a place as incomprehensibly vast and dangerous as the Multiverse. But when individuals, groups and nations work together for a common cause, no matter how different they are to each other, they can achieve even the most impossible of miracles and change the course of destiny itself. In this regard, friendship is truly magic.
** All advances and progress that changes worlds for the better will often come with unforeseeable costs or consequences. They could bring great rewards - but could also easily bring great disaster if done recklessly, venturing into the unknown without preparations. What one can achieve or acquire, another person can also do as well - and they would not necessarily use it for the good of all. But even so, the rewards and benefits from it if done right makes progress worthwhile.
** Just because you have acquire new powers, tools and allies to help you, that doesn't always automatically mean the problem will become easier to solve.
** Be ready for anything - reality can truly be stranger than anyone can even imagine.
* CombatPragmatist: The Sea Ponies don't have a problem with forgoing flashy tactics, and simply lassoing a non-aquatic foe and dragging them under the drink. The Neo-Hooviet Fleet found this out the hard way.
* CombiningMecha:
** The Mane Six arrive in a universe were the natives are robots. Turns out that robot ponies can combine if they've got a close enough bond. The robot Mane Six can combine into an Alicorn named '[=Harmony.EX=]' while the Crusaders can form one named '[=Crusader.EX=]'. According to Crusader, the native Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara can do it too.
** The above world contributes the 'Combination Matrix' for the Paladin Armor, allowing two suits to combine the same way. The main reason for this is to be used in conjunction with the FusionDance ability from fusion world to create a larger, strong suit to go with the fused pony.
** Traveler, a Brave Series inspired mecha created by the Matrix of Nobility, can combine with two support mecha to form Great Traveler and with the Thunder Child to form Thunder Traveler.
* CoolAirship: Equestria uses their new {{Magitek}} to create mana-engine powered aerial battleships armed with missile launchers and maser cannons for use in combat if the need arises which are first deployed against the Storm King's armada. When he turns out to be a bigger threat than anticipating, they launch their first super aerial battleship: the Great Harmony, a 1000 feet long, 70,000 tons {{Magitek}} flagship with the fixed forward-facing [[WaveMotionGun Hyper Mana Cannon]] as its most powerful weapon and could [[TheBattlestar deploy aerial fighters like the Boltwings and surface troops from its hangars]].
* CrazyCulturalComparison: Naturally happens a few times, as even very similar Equestrias can have big differences due to ForWantOfANail. At one point 8-Bit and his counterparts do this while trying to localize video games, and find that the Size Symbiotic Equestria has no concept of single player games due to their nature, while co-op games are the norm, and Ocean World has no concept of dry land or walking. Or hind legs for that matter.
* CrisisCrossover:
** The 10th Dimensional Ponies summon one of these to deal with 10th Dimensional Tirek.
** The first of these such events comes when an alternate version of the Flim Flam Brothers invade using a robot army, prompting Equus to [[GondorCallsForAid assemble an army of their allies]] to fight them off.
* {{Crossover}}: The Mane Six aren't limited to just pony universes and some of the universes they visit ''are'' crossovers:
** The Gods War and Kaiju Ponies Arcs are Franchise/{{Godzilla}} crossovers. Though the latter is also a crossover with ''Fanfic/TheBridge''. The former is a world already having a crossover while the latter is well before the crossover actually happened.
** The Magenta Diamonds Arc takes place in a world having one with ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse''.
** The Under The Red Sun Arc is a crossover with ''TabletopGame/DarkSun''.
** The group finds themselves in ''Film/SantaClausConquersTheMartians'' at one point. The Green Martians from [[Literature/JohnCarterOfMars Barsoom]], no less.
** The Ponies and Giants Arc setting is adapted from ''FanFic/PoniesAndDragons'', where it appeared as a tabletop game.
** One universe they arrive in is a crossover with the ''Franchise/UltraSeries''.
** One they visit after picking up Factory Scootaloo as a GuestStarPartyMember is a universe where the Cutie Mark Crusaders are the Series/BigBadBeetleBorgs.
** A brief jaunt has them meet the tank-girls form ''{{VideoGame/Panzermadels}}''.
** The Mane Six run into ''VideoGame/{{Octodad}}'' at one point.
* CurbstompBattle:
** The Mane Cast dish out a lot of these during the Lighting the Darkness Arc, due to being stronger than Lord Yomi's witches and warlocks, who are so used to being invincible that they had no idea how to fight someone who can actually harm them. One that stands out is Rainbow Dash vs Fubo, as unlike his fellow Kings, he's too UnskilledButStrong to keep up and gets thoroughly thrashed when faced with someone as strong as himself.
** Rainbow Dash ends up fighting [[Fanfic/RainbowFactory Factory Rainbow Dash]]. At first it's an even MirrorMatch...and then Rainbow sees the native Scootaloo and realizes why she's there. She instantly goes into her [[SuperMode Rainbow Power form]] and [[MamaBear hands Factory Dash her flank.]]
** The first half of the Mane Six's fight with the [[PsychoRangers Metal]] [[EvilKnockoff Mane Six]] doesn't go very well for them with the exception of Metal Twilight and Metal Spike vs Twilight and Spike, until they use their Paladin Armor to even the odds.
** The Royal Guard and police in Paladin Armor vs the Crimson Dragons, a criminal syndicate. The armor lets them walk through everything the Dragons send their way and quickly dismantle the syndicate.
** The Space Legionnaires of the Hegemony's against pretty much EVERYONE they came across, due to them being elite and enhanced [[SuperSoldiers super-soldiers]] based on the [[TabletopGame/Warhammer40000 Astartes from 40K]]. It took the likes of a giant MechanicalMonster, the [[EliteMooks Uber Troggles]] and their [[EvilSorcerer Ram Necromancer masters]] for them to meet their match. Captain Cerberus and her squad's boarding action during the First Multiversal War had been described less as a battle and more as a [[MookHorrorShow bloodbath]].
** The Giant Six (with the Mane Cast supporting) clear out Bandit Pass, a ''very'' heavily defended brigand camp, within ''hours'', literally crushing almost everything in their way...and that was them ''holding back''. If the Mane Cast hadn't insisted on a mostly non-lethal approach, it would have been a slaughter.
** Alliance forces vs. a traitor daimyo's army in the Ninja Six's world. With the Riders, Giant Six and others helping out, Gladstone never had a chance.
** The Berry Triplets [[GondorCallsForAid call Godzilla Junior]] in his pony form when the portal can be reopened to help stop the Death Crawlers. Within a few moments of his arrival, the four surviving basic Death Crawlers are dead. Subverted with the Alpha, which proceeds to get in a long drag out fight with Junior.
** A trio of NormalFishInATinyPond psychotic bullies who like going on killing sprees in G3 based worlds for sport arrive in the World of Empathy and find themselves facing Kimono. Kimono defeats all three without [[BadassPacifist ever attacking once]] simply by tanking or dodging everything they have until they collapse from exhaustion and one has a HeelRealization.
** Catrinamon and Samudramon give one to the heroes following their digivolution to Mega via the Rainbow of Darkness, more or less beating the Digidestined 7 into the ground without even trying after knocking the jaunters away. After Twilight and the Mainline Tales 7 rejoin the fight with [[FlawedPrototype the prototype Power Up system]] for the armor (activated out of desperation), it turns into a CurbstompCushion while the Twilight and her Patch, Starlight, and Sweetheart along with their counterparts and their partners hold them off so that the rest can defeat Huntermon and [=CaptainHookmon=] so all of them can try and beat the two Megas together.
---> '''Digimon!Patch''': Well...at least we actually HIT him that time. That's an improvement over getting 'our flanks kicked into the ground.'\
'''[=KnightGreymon=]''': Sadly, you have a point, ma'am. 'Getting our butts kicked' is indeed an improvement over 'butts kicked into the ground.'
* CutenessProximity: When visiting a world where ponies are giants compared to Equestria's other races, Pinkie and Rarity take to a crowd of baby Changelings and a Diamond Dog puppy; respectively. Pinkie lets the little 'Lings sleep in her mane, and Rarity gives the pup giant-sized snuggles.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:D to G]]
* DavidVsGoliath: During the Gods War Arc, the visiting mane six use their Rainbow Power forms to hold off [[BigBad Bagan]] while the native Twilight and Amicitia try to patch up Gojira. While they can't hurt him much, they're too small and nimble for him to effectively counter attack in return.
* DiscOneNuke: What certain members of the Multiverse Alliance such as the [[GalacticSuperpower Hegemony of Equuskind]] and the [[{{Kaiju}} Kaiju worldlines]] effectively became for the heroes' side, owing to the amount of power they have at their disposal on an organizational and individual level. Needless to say, things become a lot more interesting when their aid is rendered unavailable for [[Literature/TheBeastArises one reason]] or [[Fanfic/TheBridge another]].
** Example 1: the Hegemony of Equuskind is TheHeavy of the MA, being a highly-militarized, expansionistic and ruthless galaxy-spanning empire (Read: MILLIONS of worlds) chronologically around 30,000 years in an alternate far future ruled by a GodEmpress that's a LighterAndSofter (but by no means nice) version of the [[TabletopGame/Warhammer40000 Imperium of Mankind]], and is explicitly based on it by its founder and ruler. This allows the MA to hold a major advantage in many serious military conflicts, as most other world-lines are not that advanced and most threats from across the Multiverse so far are limited to only a dozen worlds at most, while the amount of resources, personnel and firepower available - as well as the Imperials' willingness and experience in using it - is incredibly hard to match.
** Example 2: The Intergalactic Federation of Friendship, Bright Future Equestria's worldline, is potentially an even greater DiscOneNuke, being an INTERGALACTIC association of millions of CIVILIZATIONS united in peace and friendship, with a sizeable portion of its population (Most of Equus for Bright Future Equestria) having ascended into gods, with ''individual members'' possessing powers and abilities to rival entire fleets, armies and civilizations. However, they subverted this by not deploying their potential at full, out of fear of making other less developed worldlines overly-dependent on them.
* DimensionalTraveler:
** The entire point: the mane six explore the multiverses. They also stop at a 'rest stop' [[InnBetweenTheWorlds between the multiverses]] specifically ''for'' people traveling the multiverse.
** There's also Lady Babylon, a dimension jumping JerkassGenie.
* EldritchAbomination:
** The Unknown Powers Arc deals with a world being attacked by entities of this level.
** In the Bright Futures Arc, the ponies of the future have had to deal with things of this sort. [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu They won.]]
** Technically the Tenth Dimensional ponies are this, as their true forms are so incomprehensible a universe-eating EldritchAbomination can't comprehend them. Unlike most examples, they're benevolent and actively protect other universes.
* EliteMooks: The mainline Storm King is aware of the Hegemony would be a problem for him, so he gets some help from Ispita and recruits some AdaptationalBadass versions of the G1 Troggles and powers them up further to become equal to Warhammer Orks specifically to counter them.
* EnemySummoner:
** Button Mash and his father 8-Bit in the Bright Future timeline are this, being the Alicorns of Gaming and Roleplaying respectively. Button can summon armies of video game characters while 8-Bit can summon table top RPG characters.
** The Ram Necromancers commanding the Uber Troggles during the Eye of the Storm Arc can summon shadowy familiars to attack their enemies.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood:
** Ulna, a slaver the Mane Six capture early on in Under The Red Sun, is pretty much ''shell-shocked'' when Pinkie helps her up when she falls after being startled by the latter. Even after Twilight insists she won't be harmed, Ulna still addresses Twilight as her Mistress; likely thinking ''she'' will be enslaved.
** Lightning Chaser, a crew member of the flagship boarded in operation Jolly Roger, can't understand why he and the other prisoners ''aren't'' being tortured or enslaved after the battle.
* EvilCounterpart: Several are met or mentioned.
** Dastardly Do, an alternate version of Daring Do from Mirror Equestrias. In contrast to selfless, brave and heroic Daring Do, who's dedicated to uncovering and preserving ancient history and artifacts, Dastardly Do is a selfish, cowardly and villainous pony who is more interested in turning a profit from finding/stealing artifacts to sell for the highest bidder, and is mentioned by her heroic archnemesis as a 'psycho'. [[spoiler: She is later revealed to be running a major cross-dimensional artifacts trafficking operation, and is seen starting a partnership with Mainline Equestria's Dr Caballeron on that venture]]
** Inverted with Mirror Equestria's counterparts of Daring Do's two major enemies: Bravery Blue, who's actually a sane and noble Ahuizotl, and PROFESSOR Caballeron, who is a genuine gentlecolt and heroic archaeologist. Both are mentioned to be in a FriendlyRivalry with each other but shares a common enemy in Dastardly Do.
** Also inverted for Mirror Equestria's counterparts of Bagan and King Ghidorah in the "Gods' War: Reflected" arc. Whereas both are Kaiju [[OmnicidalManiac omnicidal maniacs]] in their respective franchise, here the former is a heroic guardian deity and the latter is a benevolent, life-protecting alien. It is noted that despite looking almost exactly like their evil versions, one could immediately tell they're good simply by their expressions. Played straight with the mutual enemy whom they joined forces to defeat: the 'Tyrant First King' Gojira, who whilst alive was described as a wrathful 'God of Destruction' who destroyed the planet's previous inhabitants, and then became much worse when resurrected ages after his death as a [[Film/GodzillaMothraKingGhidorahGiantMonstersAllOutAttack vessel]] of the hateful, envious spirits of the [[AbusivePrecursors planet's previous civilization]] to destroy those who inherited Equus after their Gojira/self-inflicted demise.
* EvilKnockoff:
** The Metal Series created by the invading Flim Flam Brothers are mechanical copies of the Mane Six and the Princesses.
** A mainline Equus gang leader named Shadow Web managed to get a Paladin Badge and reverse engineer it to create the Blackguard Armor.
* EvilMeScaresMe:
** The group have apparently run into several evil Twilights. Twilight isn't amused.
** Rainbow Dash ends up running into [[Fanfic/RainbowFactory Factory Rainbow Dash]]. She not only royally chews her out and tries to beat her, she outright disowns her as an alternate version of herself when she learns how she treated her Scootaloo.
** Cheerilee, now jaunting with her sisters, feels this way about her ''Fanfic/CheerileesGarden'' counterpart when they meet. [[spoiler: Thought she's considerably more merciful to her double than Rainbow was to hers.]]
* TheEmpire: The galaxy-spanning Hegemony is a ponified, [[GoodIsNotNice mostly]] benevolent expy of the Imperium from [[TabletopGame/Warhammer40000 WH40K]], complete with an [[GodEmperor Empress]]. The Empress, [[spoiler:an alternate future version of Princess Twilight]], outright admits that [[spoiler:she based the entire thing on the Imperium, which she visited via interdimensional travel in ages past]].
* EnemyCivilWar: [[spoiler: Turns out to be the case for the Ram Necromancers and their Troggle troops the Storm King hired. Their worldline's Grogar is long dead, and Tambelon has descended into civil war as factions fought to take his place. They and their Shadow Realm are reduced to such dire straits they had to raid and hire themselves out to other worlds to replenish their resources and acquire weapons and magic needed to continue their war efforts]].
* EscalatingWar: The Alliance has a science fair, which ends with Princess Apple Bloom and the Mechanicum tying for first in the invention category. The two proceed to have a 'tech off' that gradually escalates over and over until they're having a HumongousMecha duel and Empress Twilight and Bright Future Amicitia have to come break it up.
* FantasyMetals: Adamantium/Adamantine alloys are used in the construction of several of the Alliances main weapons like Seiryu and the Guardian 1 due to being the strongest metal known to Equus.
* FeedItABomb: [[EnemyMine Spike and Garble]] end up destroying Metal Spike this way. He and Metal Twilight have a habit of [[OneWingedAngel absorbing destroyed robots to grow bigger and stronger]], but the last time Metal Spike tries it, Spike manages to set a missile he's absorbing to explode with Garble's help. The end result Metal Spike being destroyed in a PostDefeatExplosionChain due to that missile setting off the other weapons he absorbed.
* FirstContact:
** A large part of the story is this on a multiversal level, with the Mane Six making contact with alternate universes.
** Eventually the spike in tech level results in the Celestial Ponies, a race of aliens native to Mainline Equus's universe, to make first contact with Equus. While they're the ones who set up first contact, other races native to Stellaria also come with them to Equus.
* FixFic: The ''Royal Blood'' storyline is one to ''Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicDeviations''. By his own admission, [=Kendell2=] wrote it as a TakeThat to the source for treating [[PrinceCharmless Prince Blueblood]] as a complete joke, and never bothering to give him proper CharacterDevelopment despite being touted as a WhatIf concept. Here, while much of his {{Jerkass}} traits were migated thanks to Celestia's guidance, Blueblood was still spoiled and prideful, and harbored resentment towards Cadence for being born an Alicorn [[ParentalFavoritism and being Celestia's favorite]]. His drive to surpass Cadence caused him to become vulnerable to Nightmare Moon's dark magic, creating [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Darkblood]]. However, he was able to overcome his problems by trusting his Mane Six and acknowledging his own flaws, killing Darkblood for good, and became the Element of Magic to stop Nightmare Moon. He eventually became an Alicorn like he always wanted, and married the girl of his dreams, his world's Rarity.
* FlatWorld: One of the Equuses that are visited is this. It's also on top of a planet-sized Alicorn named Mother Equus, who is the native Celestia and Luna's mother.
* FlawedPrototype:
** The original attempt to make a PoweredArmor to protect Jaunters on missions was very, very flawed to the point it never got to the point of actually being worn by a pony before being scrapped in favor of the Paladin Armor. One of these flaws was snapping the golem wearing it in half.
** The Power Up Channel System Prototype Model 5, intended as a SuperMode booster for the Paladin System. Twilight outright states it wasn't nearly as effective as intended and a failed prototype for the final model. The main issue is the armor itself is only acting as a channel and minor magnifier for the Platformer World Power Up being used rather than being directly powered up itself, so it's more a ComboPlatterPowers than the overall enhancement intended.
* ForeignExchangeStudent: Due to FirstContact with Stellaria, the Friendship School gets a number of Stellarian students as these: Dwarf Star the Graviton Pony, Penumbra the Shadow Strider, Electrum the Glowstone Wyvern, and Ragna the Reptilian. Some Equusians were also sent to a similar school on Stellaria as part of the exchange.
* ForWantOfANail: Several worlds the Mane Six visit came into being due to differences:
** Inverted Ages: The nail is older, younger sibling pairs are inverted.
** In one world visited, it was Rarity who ascended to Alicornhood instead of Twilight.
** One world is set in a universe where sometime after the Sirens' defeat, they turned Twilight into another Siren to preserve their kind (as they were dying from their broken gems) and she turned the rest of the Mane Six into Sirens as well, though they're not evil.
** The Deep Blue Sea Arc takes place in a universe where Equus was always covered in an ocean. Other than the obvious, other things are very slightly different such as ponies having different names than their counterparts and Sirens being the native version of Alicorns.
** The Princess Twilight, Ruler of Equestria Arc takes place in an universe where Tirek had killed the three princesses instead of sending them to Tartarus. Twilight was able to defeat him in their battle and ended up having to rule Equestria herself.
** The Mane Six's arrival in [[Fanfic/TheBridge the Amalgamverse]] ends up causing the Zettonians to launch an attack upon detecting the portal caster, which wouldn't have happened otherwise.
** The Gods and Guardians Arc is set in an alternate timeline to the Gods' War Arc. The nail that diverged the timeline was Shining Armor managing to transfer his soul into a {{Kaiju}} body to hold off King Ghidorah, saving the Princesses and helping Gojira win.
** In Mainline Equestria, it soon becomes apparent that the advent of dimensional travel is a ''big'' nail. The plot of [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyTheMovie2017 the movie]] is completely derailed: Equestria discovers [[BigBad the Storm King's]] rampage ''far'' earlier than in canon due to better communications and prepare to intercept him long before he can reach Equestria...but the Storm King was also busy salvaging and reverse engineering technology from the Flim Flam Brothers' invasion, drastically increasing his army's threat level as well as giving him his [[WeatherManipulation namesake power]] earlier than in canon. The Storm King is now rivaling ''Tirek'' when he fought Twilight in terms of sheer power.
** The first meeting with Tempest gets derailed by Rainbow Dash knowing the RollingAttack she didn't in canon despite the former's attempt to invoke InSpiteOfANail. When Tempest attempts to petrify the Princesses, Rainbow uses it get the drop on her and cause her to waste the Obsidian Orbs.
* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou:
** After the Mainline Equestrian Jaunters arrived in an Equestria where the Ponies live with and frequently does 'PSAs' with an unseen 'Audience' brought the light the existence of mysterious 'Fourth-Wall Entities' observing and influencing certain world-lines like they are an entertainment show, a report's addendum reveals the Multiverse Alliance has began to consider developing 'Memetic Agents' that could subliminal influence the thoughts and minds of 'Audience', 'Writers' and 'Producers' entities, as defensive measures to prevent them from starting to influence those world-lines in negative ways e.g. making those settings DarkerAndEdgier, leading to death and misery for those inhabiting them. And if those agents fail, the report recommends with clinical casualness developing stronger, weaponized '[[Website/SCPFoundation Memetic]] [[BrownNote Kill Agents]]' that would, ahem, 'permanently sever' their influence from those Equuses. One of these R&D programmes being considered is even named '[[ShoutOut Project]] [[Literature/TheLaundryFiles Basilisk]]'.
* FriendToAllChildren:
** Pauline of Ponies and Giants. She fondly recounts playing with human children from a village the Giant Six saved from a rock slide early in their quest.
** Cheerilee is naturally this. As a result, when she starts jaunting with her sisters and meets her ''Fanfic/CheerileesGarden'' counterpart, she uses her Paladin Armor to put a stop to her child murdering real quick [[spoiler: though ultimately just saves Scootaloo and talks her down]].
** At least one visited world had the ponies raising and healing abused human children, brought to Equestria by Discord.
* FusionDance:
** The girls visit a universe currently in a crossover with ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'', so naturally the Gems are capable of this as in canon.
*** They later visit a world whose natives can perform fusion naturally, and often do so. For example, Rarity and Applejack can fuse into Jeweled Apple.
** The main universe ponies begin to learn this from the fusion ponies, with Celestia and Luna managing to fuse into Queen Equinox [[spoiler: during the Storm King battle]] and Cheerilee and her sisters manage it to form Triple Berry to fight an alternate Slenderstallion.
* FutureBadass:
** ''Everyone'' in the Bright Future timeline, given they're all experienced deities. Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash are SpacePolice who regularly fight planet killing EldritchAbomination tier threats, and [[BadassFamily Button Mash and his family (including Sweetie Belle by marriage)]] can defeat an entire planetary invasion fleet by themselves.
** Technically speaking, the Tenth Dimensional Ponies are technically this, as they exist in the ''extremely'' far future. They're also functionally omnipotent high dimensional lifeforms and omniversal guardians.
** Most Multiverse Tier villains from outside the Alliance are technically this, as they came from universes where [[TheBadGuyWins won]] and thus continued to grow in strength instead of losing and being stopped in their tracks.
* TheFutureWillBeBetter: The key idea of the Bright Future Arc: it's a {{Utopia}}n future where Equus has NoPoverty, ponies ascending to godhood is a streamlined process, technology is hyper advanced, an interstellar civilization has been established, and everything is peaceful and prosperous. There are still evils and villains to fight, but things are bright.
* GodEmperor: The Empress of the Hegemony from Worldline WHK-400 is practically one, given who she's based on. Also includes Mainline Equestria's Princesses, Alicorn Queen Majesty from a G1 world, the late Queen Equinox in the backstory of the Yomi-ruled Equus, to name a few.
* GodzillaThreshold:
** When the Cutie Remark Timeline Flim Flam Brothers invade Prime Equestria, Ponyland and the Hegemony suggest using tactical nukes, Vortex Missiles, and orbital bombardment against them, but ultimately agree that using them should be saved for a last resort.
** Twilight only activated the Power Up Channel System Prototype Model 5 on herself and the Tales Seven's Paladin Armor, a FlawedPrototype she never had any intent to use, when it becomes clear they can't wait for reinforcements against Catrinamon and Samudramon, and they are clearly completely outmatched against them without it, since a flawed, failed prototype is better than nothing.
* GreaterScopeVillain:
** Ispita, the number 2 most dangerous villain in this corner of the multiverse, is largely this, as while she appears directly she has no real investment in the Alliance and doesn't particularly ''care'' about them. Most of her antagonism towards them is this via villains she's created or situations she's engineered with no intentional malice towards them.
** Pony Rangers!Discord serves as this for the Pony Rangers!Doomsday arc, being Nightmare Moon's boss but only giving her one last shot at beating the Rangers and accommodating her plan somewhat.
* GreaterScopeParagon: The Pantheon of First Heroes, [[BenevolentPrecursors one of the first beings to ever travel the multiverse]] and worshiped as paragons of good on many worlds, and striking fear in the hearts of all evil. While their whereabouts are unknown, or even if they're still around, they left artifacts that can only be used by heroic people across many worlds to aid indirectly against the evils of the Multiverse and inspire many to be courageous, valiant, and noble people.
* GuestStarPartyMember: [[Fanfic/RainbowFactory Factory Scootaloo]] ends up joining the group on their adventures temporarily, as Rainbow Dash didn't want to just leave her behind when she'd been through the trauma she was in and wants to show her her Rainbow was an exception, not the rule to how things normally are.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:H to J]]
* HappinessInSlavery: [[spoiler:As in canon, Pearls are a SlaveRace. As such, when the Magenta Diamond-verse Silver Spoon is turned into one by Discord at her own request, a combination of her own submissive personality and the programming Pearls come with as their 'factory settings', she becomes this trope.]]
* HarmfulToMinors:
** Factory!Scootaloo was naturally traumatized by the Rainbow Factory, even after Mainline!Rainbow saved her and kicked Factory!Rainbow's flank. Her entire presence in Jaunting is to visit relaxing worlds to help her recover.
** The Digidestined 7 are still terrified of Huntermon due to being chased for months by him for sport and seeing their friend Unimon permanently murdered by him, even long after defeating him.
* HeelFaceTurn:
** Metal Twilight ultimately performs one.
** As in canon, [[spoiler: multiple Tempest Shadows]].
** [[spoiler:''Fanfic/CheerileesGarden [[SerialKiller Cheerilee]]'' makes one thanks to Cheerilee TalkingTheMonsterToDeath. Somewhat more justified however, as it happened before she actually killed anyone and thus hadn't gone fully over the edge. She's still in an asylum however.]]
* HellYesMoment:
** The Berry Triplets naturally have this reaction to finally being able to summon Godzilla Jr. against the Death Crawlers.
** This is everyone on the side of good's reaction to Digidestined Starlight, Patch, and Sweetheart managing to trigger their partners to Warp Digivolve to Ariesmon, [=VictoryGreymon=], and Aniwyemon after largely being on the receiving end of a CurbstompCushion for the entire fight.
--> '''Captain Crosshairs''': (To the villains) [[Film/AvengersInfinityWar Ha! You guys are so screwed now!]]
* HiveMind:
** The Mane Six arrive in a world were ponies naturally evolved these. They don't have one massive interconnected one, but smaller groups of varying sizes and forming one is equal to earning a Cutie Mark. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding happens and the mane six accidentally get turned into three pairs of hive minds as well. It's later revealed their hive minds became the consciousness of their [[FusionDance fusions.]]
** The Tenth Dimensional Ponies are also this: they've transcended the concept of singular universes altogether and any pony who ascends to the same level is offered to become part of the cosmic consciousness, though still remain an independent entity. This is shown by there being one multiverse spanning version of them, but multiple normal sized versions, all of which can function independently of each other.
** Another universe is discovered where everyone is a hive mind entity composed of five tiny identical versions of themselves.
* HomeAloneAntics: {{Invoked}} in the "Tower Beyond the Sky" Arc, when Teddy, Ace, and Lancer have to fend off a Neo-Hooviet agent chasing them throughout Olympus Station trying to get Tales!Spike (who will grow up into a OneManArmy). Due to not having superpowers or PoweredArmor like the girls, they have to run until Teddy notices some maintenance supplies and mentions the TropeNamer, at which point the boys begin fighting back using this trope.
* HopeBringer: The Mane Six are this in the Lighting the Darkness Arc, and actively invoke this. They're capable of actually fighting Lord Yomi's forces and overwhelm them, something the natives couldn't. As a result, they actively invoke their Power Pony personas to be ''more'' of this trope as superheroes.
* HowIsThatEvenPossible:
** Rainbow Dash questions this when they arrive in a world where everyone is cats. Not anthropomorphic cats, just normal but sapient cats.
** Twilight asks the same thing when the group arrives in [[SpaceX Space Equestria]], a version of Equestria where everything is exactly the same except [[RecycledInSpace in space.]]
** Twilight again asks this when they arrive in a Equestria where the Mane Six, the Princesses, and their RoguesGallery are [[SpinoffBabies all babies living together.]]
* HumongousMecha:
** In response to the possibility of King Ghidorah existing in the prime universe, Equestria builds a {{Magitek}} one based off Gojira, named Mechagojira, or Seiryu.
** The Guardian 1, a huge search and rescue mecha, is built using the same tech to respond to disasters, though can fight in a pinch if absolutely necessary.
** [[spoiler:It turns out the Storm King's Project Zeus is a 100 meter tall one modeled after himself.]]
** Tales!Chrysalis built an EvilKnockoff of Mechagojira inspired by the Showa Mechagodzilla for her invasion of the Isle of Pony.
** The Pony Rangers naturally have their Zords and Megaponies.
** The Sentinels, a joint project between the Alliance and Multiverse Police Department, are also this, and intended for fighting monsters, mecha, or villains too large for the operatives to fight otherwise. The smallest one is only 15 meters tall, while the largest is 30 meters. Chief Shining Armor has an AceCustom version that can combine with a support mecha to form the 50 meter tall Grand Sentinel.
* IAmNotLeftHanded: Rainbow Dash and Factory!Rainbow Dash's fight starts as a MirrorMatch, due to them being the same person from different universes. Then Rainbow Dash [[MamaBear sees that her evil alternate self had included Scootaloo in the group of foals lined up to be turned into spectra]]. She proceeds to activate her [[SuperMode Rainbow Power form]] and completely demolish Factory Rainbow easily.
* AnIcePerson:
** The Everfrost from the Deep Blue Sea Arc is freezing the world, and has a Frost Talon who can breathe ice.
** Rowena from the Ponies and Giants Arc is a Frost Giantess with an arsenal of snow- and ice-based magic. She's also Rarity's counterpart in that universe.
** The ponies from Ice Equestria live in super low temperatures, and are freezing cold to touch. Their Cryomancer armor exploits this by using the low temperatures they need to survive for offensive means.
** The 'Hidden' Pegasi from Ponyland's universe never greatly explored weather manipulation as their prime selves did, instead focusing on manipulating water vapor in the air. Among the things this let's them do is create various kinds of ice, including blue ice (the hardest known form of ice).
* IComeInPeace:
** The Mane Six do this on occasion if they get the chance to, though normally they've got to explain it a little more frantically due to random circumstances, and Twilight gets very frustrated she never gets to properly perform her FirstContact protocol.
** The Celestial Ponies say this when they make FirstContact.
* InMediasRes: Due to the nature of the multiverse, it's very rare the Jaunters arrive at the beginning of the plot of the world they arrive in, and normally arrive in the middle of an already in progress adventure if they haven't missed it entirely. Some exceptions are the Tales Arc and Lighting the Darkness Arc, both of which are caused ''by'' the Mane Six's arrival.
* ImplacableMan: ''Cheerilee'' uses her Paladin Armor to go this chasing down her ''Fanfic/CheerileesGarden'' counterpart. [[spoiler: Though she doesn't get violent when she does catch her, instead talking her down.]]
* ImprobablyLargeSnakes: One world is populated by these, complete with a "Snakequestria" and a Snake!Mane Six.
* InnBetweenTheWorlds: The mane six arrive at one run by a tenth dimensional version of Pinkie Pie.
* InSpiteOfANail: Despite being very different than his prime self, General Thorax from the timeline where he and Pharynx have reversed roles still ends up becoming Spike's friend and overthrowing Chrysalis to redeem the Changelings.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:K to N]]
* KarmicDeath: The {{Jerkass}} baron in Ponies and Giants. (See AssKicksYou).
* {{Kaiju}}:
** The Gods' War Arc has Gojira and Bagan, with King Ghidorah being mentioned.
** The Gods and Guardians Arc is set in an alternate timeline version of the Gods War world. The nail is Shining Armor [[OneWingedAngel transferred his soul a kaiju body]] to hold off King Ghidorah.
** The Kaiju Ponies Arc is a crossover with ''Fanfic/TheBridge'', so naturally there's plenty of these, but the twist is that the Mane Six turn into Kaiju when they arrive, with Twilight becoming a Godzilla, Rainbow Dash a Rodan, Applejack an Anguirus, Pinkie Pie a pink slime monster...thing, Rarity a crystal monster similar to Krystallak, and Fluttershy is a Mothra.
** The prime verse produces a {{Magitek}} version of Mechagodzilla to counter the possibility King Ghidorah exists in their universe.
* KickingAssInAllHerFinery:
** Invoked in Fabulosity Equestria, where the better dressed you are the more powerful you are to the point it can make you a PersonOfMassDestruction. Though it's not limited to just dresses, as each chic has its own rules of what works.
** Rowena of the Giant Six. She doesn't let her homeland being a frozen winter-land and having to wear combat armor stop her from looking her best.
--> '''Rarity:''' [Seeing Rowena for the first time] "She's...so...STYLISH!"
* KilledMidSentence: A traitorous daimyo in the Ninja Six's world, courtesy of Amelia. He was trying to sneak away, but one of his captured minions recognizes him and blurts that out...
--> '''Daimyo:''' "I. Hate. Y--" (Amelia steps on him)
* LaResistance:
** In one universe, the mane six are rescued by a group [[spoiler: against an Equality crazy Apple Bloom.]]
** The Lighting the Darkness Arc sees the mane six team up with one operating against Lord Yomi. Their leaders are Celestia and Luna's alternate universe counterparts.
* LethalLavaLand: The 'Fire World' Equus is this, being so volcanically active it's pretty much constantly on fire. The ponies that live there evolved to survive in the hot temperatures, but the jaunters need to wear the Fire Rescue Paladin Armor due to the heat. Ironically, because the fire ponies are adapted to the heat, they likewise need to wear special suits to survive on mainline Equus because otherwise the temperatures would be freezing cold to them.
* LiterallyShatteredLives:
** [[spoiler: [[VideoGame/SuperGodzilla Super Gojira]]'s Navel Beam does this to Bagan, with the power of Harmony infused into him slowly turning Bagan into stone that is then blown away by the force of the attack.]]
** The Baron of Battle is petrified with the Rainbow Powers and shatters on impact with the ground.
** [[spoiler: The Storm King meets his end this way]], as in canon.
* LogicBomb: Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy manage to do this to [[EvilKnockoff Metal Pinkie Pie and Metal Fluttershy]] by showcasing their rock farmer and assertive sides respectively. This is so outside their programming that it causes them to glitch up to the point of being near helpless. Metal Pinkie Pie was actually programmed to be insane to ''avoid'' this trope from Pinkie Pie, but couldn't handle Pinkie being ''sane''.
* MachineWorship: The Mechanicum of the Hegemony-verse, complete with hatred of AI and a concept of "tech-heresy". Justified in that, like their counterparts from [=WH40k=], their galaxy had gone through an AI revolt from the 'Mare of Iron' which nearly destroyed Ponykind, making them hostile and wary of any artificial intelligence and those who use them, which had strained their relationship with robots and robo-world members of the Multiverse Alliance.
* MadeASlave:
** A group of slavers ''tries'' to do this to the Mane Six in the Under the Red Sun arc. [[CurbStompBattle It doesn't end well for them.]]
*** The last slaver the Mane Six keep around as a (semi-forced) guide calls Twilight "Mistress", implying she thinks this will be ''her'' fate.
** For his many war crimes under the invading Flim-Flam Brothers, Commander Wind Rider is handed over to [[GoodIsNotNice the Hegemony]] for forced labor, loading starship munitions by hoof. And he deserves every bit of misery he gets.
* TheMagicComesBack:
** Due to the nature of their mission, the Mane Six naturally cause some of these by sharing Equestria's magical advances as their part of interdimensional trade.
** Tales!Starlight realizes that if the SuperEmpowering the Tales Seven got includes their Earth Pony magic fully awakening, the rest of their Equus can learn to use Earth Pony Magic. [[spoiler: TheStinger shows this event caused a new Tree of Harmony to sprout in the Lost Woods in the Tales Verse.]] It eventually turns out the other tribes are ''also'' present in this world, but hidden and separated. The Jaunting combined with Pony!Chrysalis's assault on the Isle of Pony [[AwakeningTheSleepingGiant prompts them to reveal themselves]] and [[TheCavalry join the fight against her]].
* {{Magitek}}:
** The portal devices use a combination of magic and technology to create portals.
** Creating this is one of the big draws for trade between the Equestria and Ponyland, as the former has advanced magic and the latter has much more advanced technology, so combining them is a major boon.
** In response to learning of King Ghidorah's existence in three alternate universes, two of which were Equestrias, Celestia decides to devise countermeasures in case one exists in her universe. Namely, [[Franchise/{{Godzilla}} a magitek Mechagodzilla]] (or Mechagojira as the case may be), also known as Seiryu.
* MamaBear:
** Rainbow Dash was already trying to beat Factory Rainbow to a pulp for obvious reasons. Then she realized Factory Dash was trying to murder her version of Scootaloo in the Pegasus device. Rainbow promptly goes into her Rainbow Power SuperMode and completely demolishes Factory Dash.
--> '''Rainbow Dash''': RAINBOW DASH CAN BE A LOT OF THINGS! BUT SHE SHOULD NEVER BETRAY HER LITTLE SISTER! SO STAY AWAY FROM SCOOTALOO!
** Maternity, Button Mash's mother, is literally the ''embodiment'' of this in the Bright Future timeline, having become the Alicorn of Motherhood. She even gets a big power boost if she's protecting Button.
* MassiveMultiplayerCrossover: The CrisisCrossover events can be this, due to the visited universes not being limited to My Little Pony universes and even some that were were having a crossover or ponifications of other series. The first one involves multiple versions of Equestria, many of which are in Series/MetalHeroes inspired PoweredArmor, a benevolent ponification of [[TabletopGame/Warhammer40000 Warhammer 40K's Imperium]], Film/{{Gamera}}, a Magitek [[Franchise/{{Godzilla}} Mechagodzilla]], [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse the Crystal Gems]], giants both original and inspired by various fictions, a Series/TomicaHeroRescueForce inspired mecha, and the Series/BigBadBeetleborgs vs the Flim Flam Brothers' Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog inspired robots and {{Expy}} of the [[Film/{{Nightmares}} Bishop of Battle]] who's also the hybrid son of a Lovecraftian EldritchAbomination (specifically one heavily based on the ''VideoGame/Persona2'' version of Nyarlathotep) and a Spirit of Temptation based off of [[WesternAnimation/AllDogsGoToHeaven Belladonna]] who at one point throws a ''WesternAnimation/SamuraiJack'' inspired monster into the mix. And that's just the StarterVillain battle.
* MassOhCrap:
** The Flim Flam Brothers' forces naturally have this at various points during the invasion when they realize they've [[MuggingTheMonster attacked a world far stronger than expected]].
** Everyone has this when Bastemon and [=DinoHyumon=] digivolve into Catrinamon and Samudramon using the Rainbow of Darkness, especially when Digimon!Bright Eyes' scan reveals they're now [[NextTierPowerUp both Mega level]], a stage the Digidestined's partners have yet to reach.
* MiniMecha:
** The Storm King has one [[spoiler: called Poseidon]] he built using salvaged tech from the Flim Flam Brothers invasion and stolen magical artifacts. It's powerful enough to fight all four Princesses at once. His Speed World self builds it too using the tech brought to the world by the Jauntings, but it's not nearly as strong.
** While most of the Paladin Armors are PoweredArmor, the Construction model is this, being about 10 feet tall and far more heavily armored for work in construction. The trade-off is it's a MightyGlacier and not very agile at all. It also requires a heavy equipment licence to use, though Cheerilee is permitted to use one during the Night Without Stars Arc due to the life and death situation she's in.
** The [=MAAF=] Main Battle Mech Mk I [=‘TRAJAN’=] is another one, being a mass-production battle mecha for the Alliance, which stands at 4 meters, or about 13 feet tall. While much smaller than the Sentinels, it's still very maneuverable, much more so than slightly smaller Construction armor and well armed.
* MirrorMatch:
** Rainbow Dash versus Fanfic/RainbowFactory Rainbow Dash. The two are pretty much an even match...until Rainbow Dash sees Scootaloo in danger and activates her [[SuperMode Rainbow Power form]], which Factory Dash is too far behind to have and gets demolished.
** Celestia and Luna vs two invading EvilKnockoff mechanical doubles. At least until they get outside the atmosphere and the Princesses can stop holding back.
* MonsterProgenitor: The Werebeast Six were converted into werebeasts by an evil wizard, but their Elements allowed them to retain their minds and morality. Twilight is a [[TheOwlKnowingOne Wereowl]], Applejack is a [[HeroicDog Weredog]], Rarity is a [[FantasticFoxes Werefox]], Rainbow Dash is a [[PantheraAwesome Werecheetah]], Pinkie Pie is a [[MischiefMakingMonkey Weremonkey]], and Fluttershy is a [[SmellySkunk Wereskunk.]] This effectively makes them each into the progenitors of their on unique strain of Werebeast, though they also don't take infecting others easily, and normally only do so as a punishment to genuinely evil people, those who genuinely want to with full knowledge of what it means, or as an EmergencyTransformation to the mortally wounded who agree to do so.
* MookHorrorShow: Captain Cerberus and the Space Legionaries boarding one of the Flim-Flam Brothers' invading spaceships is portrayed as an out-and-out slaughter. The helpless crew (who unlike the invading armies are NOT all robots) are gunned down, burned, ''mind-controlled'', and more. The Legionnaires aren't called "Angels of Death" for nothing.
** When they reach the bridge, all the remaining crew are dead or subdued in ''seconds''. There's even a (heroic) reenactment of Darth Vader's "effortlessly slaughtering soldiers" scene in ''Film/RogueOne''. Downplayed at least for the Space Legionnaires in this case as they had support from other Hegemony's boarding troops who linked up with them.
** This happened again when the Space Legionnaires face off the Yeti troops of the Storm King during the Storm King Crisis. Some Yetis became so terrified of the Space Legionnaires as they relentlessly slaughtered through their ranks, many [[BettertoDiethanBeKilled killed themselves or jumped overboard]] rather than try and fight them.
* MoreThanThreeDimensions: The Mane Six meet a tenth dimensional version of Pinkie Pie who's the owner of the InnBetweenTheWorlds.
* MultiversalConqueror: As the Alliance learns to their horror, the multiverse has no shortage of these. The first one they encounter, the Flim Flam Brothers' corporate empire, is the biggest threat the Alliance had ever faced up until that point...and they didn't even make the list of the top 1000 most dangerous in existence.
* MundaneUtility:
** A large point of the exploration is to find useful things to bring back to Equus for use, so naturally there's quite a bit of this.
** [[PoweredArmor The Paladin System]] gets special note as invoking this trope is a large part of the trade between the Paladins of Harmony world and Equus Prime: due to their situation of combating Hydia, their research and development is devoted to combat applications. Since Equus Prime doesn't have that issue, they can produce noncombat variants for more mundane use on both worlds, such as fire fighting, exploration, and construction. This is actually TruthInTelevision, as one of the primary reasons people want to develop PoweredArmor in real life is for those exact reasons, especially construction.
** The technology used to create [[HumongousMecha Seiryu]] is also used to create the Guardian-1, another giant mecha for use in search and rescue work. While it has combat capabilities, they're more for self defense if needed than it's primary purpose.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone:
** Old Starlight (the one who'd altered the past and took TheSlowPath back to the present in "The Cutie Remark" and a splinter version of Prime Starlight) has long since realized she created the Crystal War timeline with her selfishness and had this reaction. The same is true of the version of her from the invading Flim Flam Brothers timeline, as well as the original Starlight after realizing the invasion was all her own fault.
** Sunny Days briefly has this during the fight with Viper. She uses a Witch as a shield against the demon's spell....which turns her foe into a pile of snakes as she screams in agony. Needless to say, Sunny is ''horrified''.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: In the Magenta Diamond verse, Discord [[spoiler: makes Silver Spoon a Pearl of her own request so she could fuse with Diamond.]] Not only does this [[spoiler: cause Silver to have to deal with the '[[SlaveRace factory settings]]' for a Pearl]], Discord finds out he ''can't'' reverse it. [[spoiler: This sends Diamond into such an UnstoppableRage that she assumes her true Diamond form and nearly goes through Steven to get at Discord until Silver stops her.]]
* NextTierPowerUp: Technology, magic, and such gathered by Jaunting is this, as different universes excel in different ways with different abilities and thus mixing them can result in rapid growth and progress. The unfortunate thing is, this works as well for villains as it does for the heroes. Also Downplayed, as some worlds' default level is on par with a jaunt boosted world.
* NoAntagonist:
** Many one shot worlds have no actual villains.
** The ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyTales'' Arc has no antagonist, fitting with the show itself lacking any.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Rainbow Dash takes the Rainbow Factory's roof off by literally beating Factory Dash through it with her [[SuperMode Rainbow Power form]]. Factory Dash is left unconscious with more broken bones than intact ones. Factory Dash [[MamaBear shouldn't have messed with kill her Scootaloo.]]
* NoPoverty: The Bright Future timeline has this. According to Princess Starlight Glimmer, it was the result of Filthy Rich ascending into the Alicorn of Economics.
* NormalFishInATinyPond:
** For all their advancements, Mainline Equestria soon find out that they're this in terms of the larger multiverse, as the Flim Flam Brothers corporate empire shows: to the Alliance, it's the biggest threat they'd faced to date and a fair challenge. To the rest of the multiverse? They didn't even make the Multiverse Villain Leaderboard and are considered the equal of a ''street gang''. Needless to say, the Discord Continuum warns the Alliance they need to get strong fast if they want to survive.
** Riot and his cronies are a trio of average teenagers with modern weapons. Up until now, their targets have been defenseless worlds incapable of fighting back and allowing them to go on killing sprees unopposed. When they run into [[BadassPacifist Kimono]], they don't stand a chance.
* NoSell:
** Garden!Cheerilee tries to kill Cheerilee with acid [[spoiler:which she'd planned to use on Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon as she did in the original story]]. Since Cheerilee's Paladin Armor is designed to survive molten lava, she just waltzes right through it.
** Kimono does this to everything Riot and his gang throw at her, as her Bard Armor is designed to be a StoneWall and meant to withstand a lot of punishment unharmed despite having no offensive capabilities. At the end of the fight she simply lets Riot pound on her armor ineffectively until his sword snaps and he collapses from exhaustion.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:O to R]]
* OffhandBackhand: During a fight with some Warlocks, Rainbow Dash manages this.
* OneSteveLimit: Subverted big time, given due to how many of the same person exist in the multiverse and thus are part of the Alliance. Some ''do'' have different names, but most share the same name, and normally look completely identical. This being extremely confusing is pointed out in universe, with nicknames being a necessity.
* OnlyThePureOfHeart: Innocence Magic can only be used by a pure hearted person who lacks the desire to knowingly do wrong. It isn't exceptionally powerful on its own, but significantly buffs light magic and weakens dark magic, as well as being a KryptoniteFactor towards corruptive forms of magic.
* OppositesAttract: Burning Heart and Frost Veil are the first interuniversal couple. They're also from [[LethalLavaLand Fire World]] and [[SlippySlideyIceWorld Ice World]] respectively, so their universes are basically polar opposite extremes.
* OurGiantsAreBigger:
** The aptly titled Ponies and Giants Arc features these. The ones the Mane Six meet are friendly, and have formed an ''adventuring party'' on a quest in the lands of "tinies".
** They later find themselves in a world with giant ponies who are partnered with tiny ponies (even by the Mane Six's size) in a symbiotic relationship.
** The Mane Six ''themselves'' are the giants in another world; big enough for Rainbow to flatten an acre of forest just by sitting down. Twilight muses that ''all'' native ponies are as huge as they are.
* OurMermaidsAreDifferent: The native ponies of the Deep Blue Sea Arc are all merponies of different sorts. Sprites have wing-like fins allowing them to fly, Nymphs have magical jewels in their foreheads to allow them to use magic like unicorns, and Merponies have whale qualities and great strength (being the Earth Pony analog). Vuurvis is a merzebra, half zebra half Lionfish (aka, Zebra Fish). According to WordOfGod, Sea Ponies also exist in this universe. Ironically, Water Guitar (Lyra's counterpart) is obsessed with mermaids like her prime self is with humans, sparking Twilight to wonder if the Equestria Girls verse connected to this universe is inhabited by them.
* OurWerebeastsAreDifferent: One world visited has the Mane Six having been turned into Werebeasts by a warlock...but [[HoistByHisOwnPetard the Elements cause it to backfire and let them keep themselves, turning the tables on him.]] Not only did they get Werebeast forms out of it, anyone they change will be infected with ''their'' morality in their beast form (which resulted in the warlock's defeat when Applejack infected him). Twilight is a [[TheOwlKnowingOne Wereowl]], Applejack is a [[HeroicDog Weredog]], Rarity is a [[FantasticFoxes Werefox]], Rainbow Dash is a [[PantheraAwesome Werecheetah]], Pinkie Pie is a [[MischiefMakingMonkey Weremonkey]], and Fluttershy is a [[SmellySkunk Wereskunk.]] They can change whenever they feel like, but ''have'' to change at night.
* OutsideContextProblem: The Mane Six have been this to a few worlds they've visited:
** In the Lighting the Darkness Arc, they arrive in a world of Earth Ponies without any magic ruled over by an evil demon named Lord Yomi and his minions. The Mane Six's own magic not only allows them to fight Yomi's forces, but is far beyond many of them, meaning they're virtual superheroes there. They're even able to purify 'Forgotten Ones', ponies who have been warped into mindless beasts by Yomi who the natives could only MercyKill, something that shocks all present.
** In the Under the Red Sun Arc, the Mane Six are magic users who operate on a completely different system than anyone present and are capable of spells they don't know. This isn't nearly the advantage it is in the Lighting the Darkness Arc.
** Garden!Cheerilee is a dangerous, aspiring SerialKiller (having just started her attempted murder of Scootaloo) but she's just a normal pony. Cheerilee prime is already a physical equal to her, so when she activates her Paladin Armor, Garden!Cheerilee is left completely outclassed. Especially considering she only has traps intended to murder foals, not an adult wearing a suit of PoweredArmor.
** The 'Hidden Ones' (the Unicorns, Pegasi, Flutterponies, and Sea Ponies) are this, as while in general they're comparable to the pre-jaunting Ponyland in terms of power, though using magic instead of technology. However, their magic is very different than the Mainline Equestrians, making up for their comparably lower capabilities with being unpredictable.
** One worldline visited is ''Literature/WarOfTheWorlds'' alternate Ponylands. It turns out that one of the [[GreaterScopeParagon Pantheon of First Heroes]], the Noble Prime, left an artifact called the Matrix of Nobility there, the Tales Seven managed to uncover it and got ''Brave Series'' styled SuperRobot which was this to the Martians. While not a complete game breaker, it still evened the odds ''majorly''.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: The mainline Storm King, upgraded using pilfered tech from the Flim Flam Brothers' invasion, and the Princesses both qualify: their battle is in the same tier as Tirek and Twilight's and among other things sees a mountain turned into a lake.
* PoweredArmor: The multiverse jumping program starts trying to create {{Magitek}} powered armor to protect their other jaunters who lack the Mane Six sheer magical muscle on jaunts. They were having some trouble at first, but then they found a ''Series/MetalHeroes'' inspired world that had already produced mass production armor and shared it, allowing them to modify it for various other uses. It soon becomes standard issue jaunting gear and equipment for the guard, rescue work, and police. Ponyland develops their own version called the [=RANGER=] Armor, which while still {{Magitek}}, focuses on a more technological side of side and uses normal weaponry. The World of Empathy develops another version called Bard focused on being a SupportPartyMember to the other universes due to their ActualPacifist nature, so it trades any and all offensive ability for [[StoneWall the highest defense of the models]] and sheer versatility in supportive options for backing up their allies. The Fire World Ponies also make a variant of the Paladin Armor to augment their natural affinity for fire.
** The Space Legionnaires of the Hegemony wears Powered Armour as part of their equipment, like the [[TabletopGame/Warhammer40000 Legiones Astartes]] they are based on.
* POWCamp: A point of contention among the Alliance once the Flim Flam Brothers and Storm King have been defeated. The varying moral standards and laws among members lead to a rather heated argument about what to do with the prisoners, and it takes Queen Sunsparkle bringing in an adult Megan Williams (of G1 MLP fame) to work out a compromise.
* PragmaticVillainy: The Mane Six run into at least one world where the Storm King took over but became a far less harsh despot than in the movie.
* {{Privateer}}: During the battle with the invading Flim Flam Brothers, Luna hires some of these. One of which is Captain Trixie's crew, who promptly start wrecking one of their fleets in another conquered world.
* ProtagonistTitle: The Magenta Diamond Arc is named after that universe's version of Diamond Tiara's true name, [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse Magenta Diamond]].
* PsychoRangers: The invading Flim Flam Brothers built [[EvilKnockoff mechanical copies of the Mane Six]] for use in conquering other universes. They also created versions of the Princesses, but those were destroyed early on. The Metal Mane Six fair far better, and if the Mane Six didn't have their Paladin Armor, they'd have lost. The Metal Mane Six even quote the TropeNamer during their fight.
* ThePurge:
** A rare heroic version occurs after the events of the "Bearers of Two Worlds" Arc. Fearing future situations where villains local to their world-lines acquire weapons and allies from other worlds to magnify their threat like the Storm King and Chrysalis did, the Multiverse Alliance enacted on an initiative to subdue or eliminate as many known local villains and threats as possible to secure their home-fronts, especially in preparation of facing future threats from across the multiverse, in what history later remembers as 'Operation: Pest Control'. While only a few such operations are depicted, like in Ninja Equestria and in the "Shadow Ops" arc, it is mentioned that the operation is enormous in scale, occurring simultaneously on hundreds of worlds and involves the combined military, agents, champions and heroes both local and drawn from across the Alliance.
** The potential threat of a purge of changeling commanders that an alternate Chrysalis considered too popular and powerful is partly what drove General Thorax of that world-line to defect fully and plot with the Equestrians to usurp her (besides her questionable leadership of the Swarm and his newly-discovered friendship with the Equestrians).
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure:
** Lord Eranbald in Ponies and Giants. He agrees to negotiate with the Mane Six on the Giants' behalf, and despite his reservations agrees to cut a deal to help them out.
** All the leaders met in the Tales world are this, being respectful to the Tales crew for past exploits and willing to hear the mane six out. After that, they just want to make sure FirstContact goes off well.
* RebelLeader: Sunny Days and Moonlight, the leaders of LaResistance against Lord Yomi and Celestia and Luna's alternate selves in the Lighting the Darkness world.
* RecycledINSPACE: Parodied with Space Equestria, with everything nearly identical to the main universe, except everything is in space.
* RetroRocket: Space Equestria's spacecraft are this.
* RisingEmpire: The Multiverse Alliance, formed by Mainline Equestria and other major worldlines they had come across such as Ponyland Equus, the Hegemony, Bright Future Equestria and the like, is classified as a 'Nascent Great Power' in the indexes, and is noted for its exceedingly rapid expansion in influence and capabilities across the worldlines.
* RoswellThatEndsWell: One world the mane six arrive in features this. ''They're'' the aliens.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:S to V]]
* SealedArmyInACan: It turns out one of the secrets being protected by the Isle of Pony's royal family is a pack of Shisa, bound in stone and set to awaken to protect the Isle when a prophecy is fulfilled. Tales!Starlight turns out to be TheChosenOne and accidentally breaks their primary seal, starting a race to open the vault and unleash them before Chrysalis's forces can locate them and potentially use them for their own ends. It turns out they're not the only army sealed down there, as the chamber is called the 'Chamber of Seven Sleeping Armies' for this reason, just the Shisa were the first to awaken, with Patch managing to awaken the Armor of Valiant Warriors as well. One of them, a dragon egg, is part of it because a full grown dragon [[OneManArmy might as well be an army]], but while Sweetheart wakes him up, the newborn Spike isn't yet old enough to fight.
* SealedEvilInACan:
** The Everfrost from the Deep Blue Sea Arc was imprisoned in the polar ice caps until escaping.
** Twilight and her friends make a habit of shrinking wizards and trapping them in bottles during the Lighting the Darkness Arc. Twilight also knows a spell for sealing evil spirits inside weapons that also allows the weapon to use their power. According to her, it was a spell created by Mage Meadowbrook (though it's later revealed to be a joint invention of her and Mistmane).
* SeriousBusiness:
** One universe sees ''reading'' and ''book reports'' as this, to the point every major conflict is resolved by it and you get taught about them in boot camp; complete with a DrillSergeantNasty griffon.
** Another universe has fashion as this, because in that universe being fashionable enough can make you a PersonOfMassDestruction and poses are equal to KiManipulation.
* SettlingTheFrontier: As their population has become immortal, the Bright Future timeline had to take overpopulation into account. When it first came up, Luna terraformed the moon and then made a ''second'' moon after that. By that point, they'd advanced sufficiently to explore space and terraform other worlds to inhabit so it was no longer an issue.
* ShapeshifterDefaultForm: In the Magenta Diamond Arc, Diamond Tiara is revealed to be [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse a Gem]], namely a ''Diamond'', who Rose found and sent to Equus so the Homeworld couldn't find her. She turned into an Earth Pony foal after emerging and thus her recognizable form is actually this.
* ShoutOut:
** The Deep Blue Sea world's version of Countess Coloratura is named Prima Marina. According to WordOfGod, this was a shout out to [[VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon Primarina]].
** During part 6 of the ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyTales'' Arc, Rarity recreates the famous 'punk on the bus' scene from ''Film/StarTrekIVTheVoyageHome''.
** Star Swirl defeats one of the Ram Necromancers that the Storm King got on loan from the Shadow Realm by [[WesternAnimation/TheSwordInTheStone shapeshifting into a germ and infecting him after the Necromancer turned into a dragon.]]
* SilverHasMysticPowers: During the Lighting the Darkness Arc, Twilight has the resistance gather up all the silver they can get, as silver has innate magical properties that, when combined with runes, could give them a fighting chance against Yomi's minions. This includes upgrading [[RebelLeader Sunny Days and Moonlight's]] armor [[ChromeChampion with silver plating and runes.]]
* SingleBiomePlanet:
** The Deep Blue Sea Arc takes place on an alternate version of Equus that's completely covered in water, and apparently always been that way.
** A later world has been extremely [[LethalLavaLand volcanically active for eons.]] As a result, everything is constantly on fire. The natives have adapted to it and are all immune to fire and heat. Ironically, from their point of view, Equus Prime is [[SlippySlideyIceWorld the opposite trope]] as it's hypothermia temperatures to their kind.
** Another world is the exact opposite of Fire World: [[SlippySlideyIceWorld a world in a perpetual ice age]]. The natives have likewise adapted to the cold, but have the same problem as the Fire Ponies of Equus Prime being a temperature extreme to them.
* SlippySlideyIceWorld: Ice Equestria is this, being in a constant ice age due to being further away from the sun. The native ponies have adapted to the cold, but the jaunters need to wear Paladin Armor to survive there. Ironically, much like the Fire Ponies, the temperature of mainline Equus is inhospitable to life for Ice World inhabitants and they need to wear life support suits there.
* TheSlowPath: After arriving in the Crystal War timeline, Twilight discovers that because Starlight stayed in the past every time, a temporal duplicate of her existed in the alternate timeline and had to take this back to the present. 20 years of dwelling on her sins and seeing [[WasItReallyWorthIt the true cost of her revenge]] has left her with [[TheAtoner quite a different]] [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone worldview than she started with.]] The invading Flim Flam Brothers timeline is home to another duplicate who has likewise come to the same conclusion and decided to help fix the mistake she made.
* SmellySkunk:
** The Mane Six arrive in an Equestria were an encounter with an evil warlock turned their native selves into [[OurWerebeastsAreDifferent Werebeasts]], but the Elements let them retain their mind and morality. Fluttershy is a Wereskunk, with all that implies, as is anyone she were to infect. Notably, her Wereskunk form is portrayed realistically with spraying a horrid smelling liquid from the base of her tail that temporarily blinds the victim if it gets in their eyes. Because she's gigantic compared to a normal skunk (especially given her Wereskunk form is much larger than a pony), she also has far longer range and sprays a ''lot'' more at once. [[HeartIsAnAwesomePower It's surprisingly effective]], and she manages to effectively neutralize ''attack helicopters'' by spraying the gunner, as it's rather hard to fire accurately when you're temporarily blind and coughing your head off.
** Were!Fluttershy bit and infected [[MadDoctor Tales!Kabuto]], turning him into one as well. His guard finds out the hard way every night when he transforms and rescues his own captives under the curse's influence, normally spraying the grunts in the process.
** Another universe has skunks having evolved as the primary sapient species rather than ponies. They're also realistic depictions, and use their musk in potion making.
** Hidden Fragrance, a unicorn in several universes, has a skunk theme to her and has scents as her special talent, so she can use spells to make horrible smells. [[BerserkButton Don't compare her to one though.]]
** [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyTales The Tales 7]] and Twilight discover a version of the Tales universe where the seven are [[Franchise/{{Digimon}} Digidestined]]. Sweetheart's partner, Mephitimon, is a skunk based Digimon, and digivolves into Sukankumon, a ''bigger'' skunk themed Digimon. As the latter, her Musk Jet attack fires a jet of horrid smelling mist, and can be fired from the expected spot or [[BreathWeapon her mouth]] to stun and disorient opponents with the stench. Ironically, her Ultimate form has a sweet smelling healing version in addition to the other one and an acid attack. Her Mega is a 100 foot tall skunk. As with the other examples, it's surprisingly useful and effective.
* SoLastSeason:
** The Storm King's Obsidian Orbs are a lot less of a StoryBreakerPower than they were in canon, as Rainbow Dash's reaction time and speed have both increased enough that she's able to take Tempest off guard and make her waste them. Fortunately for the Storm King, he's increased his army's threat level sufficiently that he's no longer reliant on them.
** A 'baseline' Equestria can run into this when faced with a multiverse tier threat, as while Mainline Equestria has gotten much stronger others weren't so fortunate. Even the invading Flim Flam Brothers, relative small-fry on a multiversal scale, were capable of conquering ''multiple'' such Equestrias before MuggingTheMonster when they invaded Mainline Equestria.
* SpaceElevator: Construction on one began in Ponyland, and forms a minor background arc for quite some time before finally being completed.
* StopBeingStereotypical: Ember and Mina don't get along due to their different views of how dragons should act. Both of them agree that Garble's behavior isn't it, seeing him as every dragon stereotype bundled into one person. Spike agrees with them. Given in canon, when Garble convinced Spike that ''all'' dragons were like him, they have a point.
* StoryArc: In addition to stand-alone Jaunts, there are several story arcs of various lengths detailing longer adventures and events:
** "Magenta Diamond" - the jaunting Mane Six discover an alternate Equestria linked to another world populated by humans and protected by a trio of magical alien guardians called the Crystal Gems. When the true heritage of this Equestria's Diamond Tiara came to light, it attracts unwanted attention of a resurrected crystalline tyrant from Equestria's past. Crossover with ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse''
** "My Little Pony Tales" - a classic FirstContact story whereupon the Mane Six arrived at a world in midst of the Information Age, its ponies ignorant of magic but possessing more advanced technology. Starting with meeting seven pony girls in the woods on camping, the Mane Six begin a series of events that would change that world forever. As title implies, a crossover with ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyTales'', and introduces Ponyland of the late G1 MLP era to the Jaunts.
** "Gods' War" - The jaunting Mane Six found themselves in a universe where battles between kaijus from the ancient past had brought Equestria to its knees, just as a new and terrible threat emerges that even Equestria's powerful kaiju 'guardian' might not hope to defeat. Crossover with the Godzilla franchise, specifically with the [[Film/Godzilla2014 Legendary Godzilla]] setting.
*** Spawns several more sequels/side-stories one-shots and arcs: "Gods and Guardians", set in an alternate 'Gods' War' timeline where preparations made by the ruler of a previously-lost civilization changed the course of events before and during the original story. "Gods' War: Reflected" retells the story with the Daring Do and the Wonderbolts Jaunting team in the Mirror Equestria of IDW's 'Reflections' arc, where heroic kaijus are the villains and vice versa.
** "Lightning the Darkness" - The jaunting Mane Six found themselves in a world where downtrodden Earth-Ponies are oppressed by the Demon Lord Yomi, who had taken over and turned the planet into a dystopic VillainWorld with its demon minions and empowered evil mortal warlocks and witches. Finding themselves becoming an OutsideContextProblem for the warlocks and demons with their arcane powers, it is up to the Mane Six to help the local Resistance rediscover magic and help them take back the world from Yomi's darkness.
** "Bright Future" - the Mane Six explores an alternate future Equestria that has essentially become a Utopia, populated by future Alicorn versions of ponies they know and filled with high-tech and high-magical wonders. What would a glorious future where the heroes had won and peace and harmony had prevailed hold for the Mane Six to discover? Introduces Bright Future Equestria to the Jaunts.
** "(Title Deleted From All Records)" - In the grim darkness of an alternate far future, war rages across the stars as the determined races of Equus fought to stay alive in a galaxy full of horrors and rediscover their glorious past to rebuild their shattered future. The Mane Six found themselves stumbling right at the heart of their galaxy-spanning empire and discover a universe where legions of super-soldiers led by trans-equine demigods fought to reclaim the stars for Ponykind, all led by an immortal Empress with a mysterious past and many secrets to reveal. A FusionFic between Equestria and [[spoiler: the ''Tabletopgame/Warhammer40000'' universe,]] that introduces the Harmonion Hegemony to the Jaunts.
** "Invasion" - An older, alternate Starlight Glimmer from one of the dystopian world-lines created during the events of 'The Cutie Re-Mark' by Starlight's revenge spell comes to Mainline Equestria to warn them of an impending invasion - from of all worlds, the one where the Flim-Flam Brothers had taken over their Equestria, and now seeks to add Mainline Equestria to those worlds under their control. As Mainline Equestria and the rest of the Multiverse Alliance gears up for war, the evil Ispita complicates matters as she pursues her own agenda...
** "Eye of the Storm" - in this sequel to the "Invasion" Arc, the events of the MLP movie are derailed as the Storm King's rampage and plans are discovered early, and Equestria and her allies prepare to stop him before he could succeed in his world-conquering scheme. But as they discovered, the Storm King had not been idle after the Flim-Flam Brothers' invasion, and had been empowering himself with the tech salvaged from the earlier war. Mainline Equestria's fate hangs in the balance as the forces of the Alliance and a much more dangerous Storm King face off...
* SufficientlyAdvancedBambooTechnology: The 'Hidden Ones' in the ''Tales'' verse (Pegasi, Unicorns, Flutterponies, and Sea Ponies) all have advanced magic that makes them even to the pre-jaunting Ponyland's technology. This takes the form of more primitive looking tech such as bow and arrows or tribal weapons, but are every bit as powerful as Ponyland's military tech before the Jaunting.
* SuperCop:
** The purpose of both the Mass Production model of the Paladin Armor and the Law Enforcement variant of it. The former is for the Royal Guard and the latter is for police usage, both drastically increasing the power of the user. While already competent in their work, the armor makes them a nightmare for criminals and lets them quickly wipe out several criminal syndicates.
** The [=RANGER=] Squad from Ponyland is this, being a SWAT Team equipped with their own counterpart to the Paladin Armor and lead by Sincere Heart, who uses the SuperPrototype model.
** Metal Twilight becomes a Royal Guard post HeelFaceTurn.
** The Multiverse Police Department, another multiversal alliance eventually met, are this, being powered up police chasing multiversal threats. FirstContact with the Alliance upgrades them further with the Paladin Armor and other advances, while also benefiting the Alliance with their own advances and manpower.
* SuperEmpowering: The Mane Six discover that using their Rainbow Powers in certain worlds that didn't already have Elements of Harmony in proximity to ponies they've made friends with there can result in a repeat of what happened to the Humane Five. This results in the Tales Seven getting Rainbow Power forms of their own and having their Earth Pony magic awakened during the concert at the end of the arc.
* SuperFic: Some of the universes the Mane Six arrive in are this, including ones where the CMC are Toku heroes, a world where various characters are Franchise/KamenRider heroes, and so on. Ironically Equus Prime is this to several worlds where the population lack any form of magic, such as the Lighting the Darkness Arc. After the accidental SuperEmpowering, the Tales world could be considered this, as the Tales Seven get full Earth Pony magic and Rainbow Power forms.
* SupermanStaysOutOfGotham: Subverted often and Justified: the heroes of different universes will pitch in and help out other universes when they can, but the issue of rebound time between Jaunts makes calling someone in to help has to be both set up ahead of time on both ends and be timed with dimensional barrier being ready for another dimensional portal to be opened. As such, in a time sensitive situations, the native heroes will likely have to deal with the problem without outside help that wasn't already present visiting in their world because there simply isn't time for reinforcements to be summoned.
* SuperMode:
** The Mane Six still have their Rainbow Power forms, which they use to hold off Bagan, and get some help from Sunset Shimmer learning how to use magic and 'pony up' in worlds where they're not ponies.
** [[spoiler: Amicitia and the native Twilight use the power of the Elements to restore Gojira after he was mortally wounded by Bagan. This results in him not only being revitalized, but turning into VideoGame/SuperGodzilla.]]
** The Tales main seven end up accidentally getting Rainbow Power forms via SuperEmpowering from the mane six, though like the ''Equestria Girls'' cast they [[HowDoIShootWeb have no idea how the powers work.]]
** [[spoiler: As in ''Fanfic/TheBridge'', the Guardian Beasts can be powered up enough to temporarily obtain their true power and become much stronger. Twilight has the Alliance's forces converge all their fire and heat based weaponry on Rodan to power him up to it to turn the tide against the Storm King's ultimate weapon Zeus.]]
** Seiryu, the Equestrian's {{Magitek}} Mechagodzilla, has a 'Harmony Empowerment System' designed to channel the Elements/Rainbow Powers. When activated, its TronLines turn rainbow colored and it gets a huge power up. [[spoiler:This was based off the Super Godzilla above, which is the same Godzilla Seiryu was based off of.]]
** The [=RANGER=] V2 suit, the upgraded model of the [=RANGER=] armor, has a Riot Mode that increases its performance, gives it better weaponry, and provides better armor. The drawback is it can only be activated once the solar panels on the suit are fully charged, and it's currently only in the prototype stage.
* SuperPrototype: Shining Armor in the "Paladins of Harmony" universe uses a prototype, ''Series/MetalHeroes'' inspired suit of armor, which is far superior to the mass production version the guard uses. Justified, as the prototype's magic cost was far too high for a normal pony to actually use for more than five minutes at a time and Shining can only use it practically because he's got abnormally high magic reserves. The mass production version is also far cheaper to produce, and the version chosen by the jaunting Equus for their average jaunters to use for protection and exploration purposes, with only those who can handle the advanced model receiving it.
* SuperSentaiStance: ''Invoked'' when the Toku themed universes team up. They realize that during team ups this is accompanied by a large explosion behind them...so they turn around for the final moment and hit the enemy with the explosion.
* SuperSoldier: The Hegemony has the Space Legionnaires, genetically and cybernetically enhanced warriors who qualifies as these. Unsurprising, given they are expies of the [[TabletopGame/Warhammer40000 Astartes]].
* SurroundedByIdiots: Shining Armor visits a version of Equestria where the royal guard ''are'' actually as incompetent as everyone makes them out to be. The native Shining Armor is actually genuinely competent, and thus feels this way.
* TalkingTheMonsterToDeath: [[spoiler: Cheerilee manages to talk down Garden!Cheerilee by filling her justification for her attempted murders full of holes. She accomplishes this by being from the future from the evil Cheerilee's perspective, and thus able to show her exactly what her 'weeds' even up becoming down the line in a few years.]]
* TeamShot: While a literary medium, this is the imagery invoked when the Tales Seven and Twilight line up with the Digidestined Seven as the former transform into Paladin Armor and the latter have their partners Digivolve.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Downplayed, but present. The various worlds contacted and united by Mainline Equestria all work together rather well as allies, but differences in various issues due to divergent cultures, ideologies and moral standards has led to disagreements and tension among the members of the Multiverse Alliance. Luckily this has not led to serious internal conflict (Yet), and the G2 world brought in a legendary figure respected enough by most to serve as a mediator.
* ThemeNaming: The PoweredArmor suits are all named after TableTopGame/DungeonsAndDragons classes. The default version is called the Paladin Armor, the Ponyland version is called the [=RANGER=] Armor, the G3 universe version is called Bard, Shadow Web's EvilKnockoff version is called Blackguard, and Pyromancer for the Fire Pony's version.
* ThereAreNoTherapists: Subverted; the jaunters find Psychotherapist Equestria, which is [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin a universe where everyone in Equestria is a licensed therapist]]. [[spoiler:Garden!Cheerilee]] was sent here after her defeat for treatment among other things.
* ThisCannotBe:
** Yomi's warlocks in the Lighting the Darkness Arc have this reaction when the mane six manage to harm and overpower them, as they're used to being {{Invincible Villain}}s who can't be harmed.
** [[spoiler: Bagan has this reaction when Super Gojira overpowers and ultimately kills him.]]
* ThouShallNotKill:
** The Mane Six have this mentality, but have gone to several worlds were killing someone genuinely evil is considered less morally wrong. Most of the time, the Mane Six compromise and don't kill, but don't exactly condemn the natives of that world for doing so if they've got understandable reasons (such as the Lighting the Darkness world, where the rebellion have only managed to stop any of Yomi's forces with lethal force due to the power gap).
** The Tales Seven as well, seeing themselves as superheroes whose gifts and abilities obligate them ''not'' to take lives. Notably, they don't object to allies killing in self-defense; fighting alongside [[GoodIsNotNice Hegemony]] forces during the Winter Wedding arc.
--> '''Patch:''' "Let the soldiers kill. We're heroes; we save people."
** The Digidestined 7 play with this trope. They're willing to kill Digimon, but only because they have ResurrectiveImmortality and thus aren't actually KilledOffForReal, rather they reincarnate as Digi-Eggs. They absolutely ''will not'' kill one and not open the portal for their data to return to the Digital World, which would be permanent, and won't even do that to as someone as vile as Huntermon.
* TowerOfBabel:
** Mentioned implicitly early on in the 'Tower Beyond The Sky' Arc by Patch as the story of ''The Great Tower'', which is Ponyland!Equus' version of the myth. Like in the original tale, Ponykind of yore tried to build a city with a tower that would reach the heavens itself, and nearly succeeded, until the divines struck it down as punishment of Ponykind's 'hubris', leaving Ponykind scattered and bitterly divided. Both Patch and Bright Eyes debate about the meaning and validity of the story's cautionary moral about unchecked pride and progress as well as the power of unity, while ominous comparison is made between the Great Tower and Ponyland's SpaceElevator - the 'tower beyond the sky' of the story - foreshadowing trouble later in the arc.
** Patch optimistically believed that everything will turn out alright with their SpaceElevator, unlike the Great Tower, pointing out that where Ponykind in the story failed, ''they succeeded''. Only time will tell...
* TransformationSequence: Several characters from different universes have them. Generally it is of the 'actually instant but slowed down for the audience' variety. Pinkie Pie, being [[MediumAwareness Pinkie Pie]], can produce a television from HammerSpace and show the slowed down version for her friends.
* TransformationIsAFreeAction:
** Many heroes transform and Paladin Armor becomes a staple of the Alliance's equipment load out, but it's Justified as the transformation is nearly instant and if shown to the audience is a slowed down version. The Paladin Armor in particular only takes a few seconds.
** Justified during a FusionDance as well once the armor is upgraded properly: the FusionDance takes time, so the armor rotates around them while generating a powerful energy barrier to protect them during it. The space mode's barrier is even customized to protect its users in space.
* UnderTheSea: The Deep Blue Sea Arc is set on a version of Equus that's completely covered in water and life evolved different as a result, with the mane six turned into different varieties of mermare.
* {{Utopia}}: The Bright Futures world takes place in a potential future where the natives have all became divine, immortal beings, poverty, hunger, and so on are things of the past (reached in entirely moral ways), and everyone is happy. They've also developed a cosmic spanning civilization with peaceful relations with other species throughout the universe.
* VaguenessIsComing: Several characters warn the Alliance that things are lurking out there in the multiverse that are ''far'' stronger and more dangerous than the things they've fought up to this point, and the Alliance is on a collision course with them they may not be ready for yet. One of them is Ispita, one of the most dangerous threats in their corner of the multiverse.
* VillainForgotToLevelGrind: Subverted: one big thing is while the heroes are ''leagues'' stronger than in canon due to the jaunting, that technology and magic doesn't ''stay'' solely theirs. Both organized crime and main villains begin to get a hold of it, and several story arcs deal with the consequences of this. There's also the multiverse tier versions of the major villains such as the Court of Love, 13 Shadows, and Heralds of Eternal Night who ''have'' level grinded a ''lot'' by jaunting on their own.
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:Bagan has one as Super Gojira manages to overpower him and he realizes he severely underestimated Harmony's power.]]
* VillainPedigree: Any villain who either acquires jaunting tech (directly or indirectly) or is a multiverse tier threat becomes far more powerful and dangerous than their baseline counterparts. Justified in both cases, as the former are gaining strength in the same way as the heroes have and the latter are typically from [[VillainWorld universes]] where [[TheBadGuyWins they won]] and continued to increase in strength instead of simply being stopped in their tracks by the heroes, making them essentially FutureBadass versions of their baseline selves.
* VillainSong:
** Walpurgis sings a version of [[WesternAnimation/WanderOverYonder "I'm The Bad Guy"]] to Steven about how she's not somepony who ''wants'' to be redeemed.
** [[VillainTeamUp Queen Chrysalis and Black Star]] sing one based on [[Literature/TheCountOfMonteCristo "A Story Told"]] about their intended revenge they intend to unleash upon Equus and Stellaria for their past defeats.
* VillainWorld: A few of the alternate worlds have been taken over by villains. While there's naturally the canon ones, there's also ones ruled by original villains.
** A universe they arrive at initially looks like it's ruled by Starlight Glimmer [[spoiler: but is actually ruled by an evil adult version Apple Bloom with the same mentality as her.]]
** The world ruled by Lord Yomi is a {{Dystopia}} were he and his witches and warlocks enslave everyone else.
* VoidBetweenTheWorlds: Mentioned several times, with 10D Pinkie Pie's inn for {{Dimensional Traveler}}s being placed here. It's also where Ispita's HQ is located, which makes it very hard to find.

[[folder:W to Z]]
* WeHaveReserves: Remarkably subverted on multiple occasions, considering those present.
** In ''theory'', the Multiverse Alliance, by virtue of its sheer, ever-growing size, has enough soldiers, heroes, researchers, inventors, mages, vehicles, monsters, gods and whatever else to throw at any conceivable problem it could face. In ''practice'', problems with transportation (Due to recharge and membrane rebound period) and resources/people being spread thin meant they are usually prevented from bringing it to bear, at least until a [[TheoryOfNarrativeCausality climatic moment]].
** Some of the Alliance's more powerful members possesses ENORMOUS reserves of resources and population by virtue of their sheer scale. The aforementioned Hegemony, for example, is a galaxy-spanning empire from an alternate far future that is constantly expanding and at war with various hostiles and horrors of their universe, which leaves them with massive military forces which they could use to help garrison and fortify an entire continent ''and'' still allow for deployments elsewhere across the planet. Disturbingly, [[AMillionIsAStatistic they are not afraid to spend them like currency]] to [[TheUnfettered achieve an objective]], owing to their [[GoodIsNotNice hardline and ruthless temperament]].
** Other members like the Intergalactic Federation of Friendship (from the 'Bright Future' Equestria world-line) is capable of this, but refrained by choice to avoid making the Alliance too dependent on them. Their modus operandi is to provide token but still critical aid to the Alliance, usually just enough to help other members solve the problem at hoof.
* WhamEpisode:
** Jaunt 23.10: the travelling six meet Lady Babylon, the first evil jaunter from another world they've encountered.
** Jaunt 36.7: The Discord Continuum, a group of benevolent (or neutral) Discords makes contact with the Mane Six, and gives them a look at several other big threats roaming the Multiverse and the scope of their threat.
** Jaunt 37.1: The mainline Storm King has managed to salvage enough of the Flim Flam Brothers technology to power up himself and his army by a huge margin.
** Jaunt 43.4: Ispita reveals her true endgame. Namely, [[spoiler:[[OneWingedAngel mutating herself]] into a ''[[Fanfic/TheBridge Nexus of Black Magic]]''.]]
* WickedWitch:
** Walpurgis Night, one of the villains of the Magenta Diamonds Arc, is this.
** Lord Yomi has witches as his female minions.
* WoundThatWillNotHeal: [[spoiler: After becoming Super Gojira thanks to the power of the Elements, Gojira is able to inflict these on Bagan due to the petrifying effect of the Elements forming stone at the edges of the wounds.]]
* YouAreNotReady: Mainline Equestria is warned of this by both Ispita and the Discord Continuum in regards to bigger threats lurking out in the multiverse. Specifically the Court of Love, Heralds of Eternal Night, and 13 Shadows.
* YouHaveGOTToBeKiddingMe: Rainbow Dash has this reaction to the group arriving in a world where the only difference is that everyone is non-talking, non-anthropomorphic cats.
