3	Julia Donaldson CBE (born Julia Catherine Shields; born 16 September 1948) is an English playwright and children’s book author known for frequently collaborating with German Illustrator Axel Scheffler.

5	She originally wrote songs for children's television, but permanently became an author when her song "A Squash and a Squeeze" was made into a book in 1993.

7	Her book Literature/TheGruffalo was an immediate success, translated into more than 50 languages, sold over 10 million copies worldwide and won several awards.
