A list of characters in the {{WebVideo/Verum}} universe who are introduced in the Glies Arc, which takes place fifty years after the Violet Arc, taking place on the continent of Glies.

[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:Recurring Notable [=NPCs=]]]
!! Fala Jin
* ChangingOfTheGuard: She is the daughter of a prominent [=NPC=] from the Violet Arc, Kalla'Jin, and a yet-to-be-confirmed player character.
* ChurchMilitant: As a Cleric of Fate and Inquisitor.
* CombatMedic: When she fights alongside the party of "The Final Toll", she largely defaults to buffing and healing the party, though she has also been shown to be quite capable at fighting directly as well.
* DealWithTheDevil: A minor and indirect example. In "The Final Toll", she provides Londis Le Strange, a representative of the Gambler Black, with information on Brewbad Stormfinger's whereabouts in exchange for Londis opening the Fable that the party needed access to.
* KnightInShiningArmor: She's a cleric, but is shown to be in full plate armor, [[HelmetsAreHardlyHeroic minus a helmet]].
* MrExposition: Her presence often involves her providing the party of the current campaign with information on important matters.
* SpiritedCompetitor: In "Into the Mists", she's shown eagerly taking on Wild Wanda in arm wrestling.

!Otami Kurosai
* AmbitionIsEvil: In his case, '''oh yeah.'''
* BigBad: Shaping up to be one of these to the Glies Arc.
* CosmicRetcon: As the "The Divine Wind" party discovered, [[spoiler: he intends to use the power of the Violet to rewrite his own story]].
* DespotismJustifiesTheMeans: Seems to be his intent as he spreads his empire across Glies.
* TheEmpire: Is the head of the one that serves as a major threat in Glies, the Eclipse.
* {{Expy}}: Is effectively Verum's version of Oda Nobunaga.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: He's almost always referred to by his title, "The Pale Emperor".
* TheseAreThingsManWasNotMeantToKnow: He is stated to have gained his powers from sources that no one should.

Race: Centaur\
Class: Fighter\
----

* CrossPlayer: The female [=PeachJars=] plays the male Garlic.
* TheDitz: He's not especially bright; when in dangerous areas, the rest of the party occasionally has to work to keep his impulsiveness in check.
* HaveIMentionedIAmSexuallyActiveToday: After his experience at the brothel (which he left a virgin), Garlic frequently, and awkwardly, lies about how he had sex, fooling no one.
* MommasBoy: Garlic frequently references his mother, and follows what she says very dutifully. Among her rules are "Don't talk to promiscuous women" and "Don't drink alcohol".
* NoSocialSkills: Garlic has difficulty interacting with new people and gets nervous easily.
* TheTeetotaler: Very explicit about not drinking alcohol.

* AmnesiacHero: Doesn't remember most of her past.
* BreathWeapon: As a Dragonborn, she's capable of this, in her case [[PlayingWithFire with fire]].
* CounterAttack: With her Hellish Rebuke.
* DarkKnight: A dragonic warrior in full armor, complete with the Oathbreaker subclass.
* DetectEvil: As a Paladin, she has this ability.
* HolyHandGrenade: With her Divine Smite.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: And potentially protect her allies, being a Paladin using the Protection fighting style.

Player [[https://www.twitch.tv/Seviria Seviria]]\
Race: Kitsune\
Class: Wizard (Enchantment)\
----

* DisneyVillainDeath: She ''very'' narrowly avoids one when attempting to cross an icy bridge, and a whole string of bad rolls results in her slipping and falling off of it. Fortunately, she had the Feather Fall spell handy, which allowed her to slow her descent enough for Obu to snatch her from midair and return her to safety.
* HypnoticEyes: Well, Hypnotic Gaze actually, but same idea.
* LittleBitBeastly: As a Kitsune, she has the ears, fangs, and tails.
* MagicMissileStorm: Magic Missile is one of her go-to attacking spells.
* MsFanservice: Flirtatious and wears revealing clothing.
* NotAMorningPerson: Sevira specifically describes her as this.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Yukina is 1[[LOL69 69]] years old.
* TheSmartGuy: Any information that requires an Arcana check usually falls to her to uncover, given her +5 to such checks and her tendency to roll high with them. While the party is exploring the mountain facility, she spends much of that time working alongside Minshi Sho to work out what was being done there.
* SquishyWizard: Her prowess and squishiness (no, not that kind) are both shown in the party's first combat encounter, when she promptly {{One Hit Kill}}s one enemy in her first turn, but then is brought down herself by a different enemy's first attack on her.

Race: Dhampir\
Class: Warlock (Evil Eye)\
Deity: The Evil Eye [[spoiler: later Babylon]]\
----

* BrutalHonesty: Kiliwen speaks her mind, regardless of what other people think.
* CombatTentacles: With Arms of Hadar.
* CovertPervert: Despite being the least sexually minded member of the party, Kiliwen notes that she finds [[spoiler:[[HotGod Babylon]]]] to be hot.
* DealWithTheDevil: Par for the course for a warlock but notable in that she switches her initial patron to [[spoiler:Babylon]]
* PunnyName: Killjoy
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Kiliwen has the appearence of a child, but her aging has been stalled thanks to being a dhampir. She's actually 70.
* StatusInflictionAttack: Her Evil Eye, an effect similar to Bane that she makes frequent use of.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Baeth Wellington]]
!!Baeth
[[quoteright:146:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/baeth___low_quality_temp.png]]

Player: [[https://www.twitch.tv/jennalynnmeowri Meowri]]\
Race: Minotaur\
Class: Barbarian (Berserker)\
Deity: Cassius\
----

* TheBerserker: Naturally, as a Berserker Barbarian, especially in his frequent use of his Rage and Reckless Attacks.
* ChivalrousPervert: A shameless flirt, but is the first to go to the front lines in combat.
* CrossPlayer: The female Meowri plays the very male Baeth.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: His clan was wiped out by a curse, one which forced him in particular to [[ImAHumanitarian devour his family]].
* DoesNotLikeMagic: Thanks to the curse he and his clan faced in his backstory. While it doesn't affect his treatment of people of utilize magic all that much, he is particularly wary of unknown objects that are clearly magical in nature.
* TheFightingNarcissist: He has shades of this. PlayedForLaughs in one case where a particularly bad Investigation check is played off in-character as him getting distracted by a mirror.
* KickTheDog: His mugging Minshi Sho for just about everything he had and then tying him up while the party explored the dungeon they found him in straddles the line on this. On the one hand, he works for the Eclipse, and he's most likely the reason that they had been able to travel through the Mists when no one else could, allowing them to pose a threat to western Glies. On the other, it's not clear how much he supports or is even aware of how his research is being used by them; he also posed no threat to the party at the time and was even actively trying to help them.
* MrFanservice: Hot and he knows it.
* TheNavigator: As a Minotaur, he has a supernatural sense that allows him to easily find his way through mazes. This comes in ''very'' handy when the party ends up in one leading up to the FinalBoss.
* PunnyName: Beef wellington.
* ThereWasADoor: He has a bit of a habit of entering seemingly abandoned buildings by breaking in through a window. This is usually followed by his party members simply using a nearby door to do the same.

Player: [[https://www.twitch.tv/bluejay Bluejay]]\
Race: Siren (Medusa)\
Class: Cleric (Redemption)\
Deity: Vavren\
----

* CombatMedic: Is the source of much of the party's healing, but is also quick to put herself on the front lines.
* EmotionEater: Vasily feeds off of peoples' despair.
* GorgeousGorgon: As a Medusa Siren who receives her share of attention.
* HumanNotepad: Following her [[spoiler: successfully sealing away an outbreak of Otikata's power emanating from a piece of parchment, the words that had been on that parchment get branded onto her left arm, which turns out to be an agreement that had previously been made between Otikata and the Pale Emperor]].
* InTheHood: Is stated to wear one when she's not yet certain that she's in an area accepting of her kind.
* KickTheDog: While she is normally a very kind and empathetic person, she ''does'' still need despair to sustain herself, and so when coming across someone in the throes of such feelings, she's not above prodding them to deepen those emotions further to provide herself more to feed on.
* [[spoiler:OfficialCouple: With Talis]]
* OnlySaneMan: Generally acts as the straight woman to most of the party's shenanigans.
* ShapingYourAttacks: Her Spirit Weapon takes the form of a large snake.
* SupportPartyMember: She has a variety of buffs and heals that she uses to bolster the party.
* TeamMom: She serves as a sensible and caring voice for the party.
* TunnelKing: As a Medusa, she has this ability.

[[/folder]]

[[folder: Notable [=NPCs=]]]
!! Captain Rembarand
* MrExposition: When the party returns him to Alexandria, he provides information on the cult going into the mists that the party would then be tasked with investigating.
* PaperTalisman: He uses these to keep the building that he, and later the party, hides out in safe from the creatures in the mist.
* SoleSurvivor: The only one still alive in the outpost that the party initially set out to find.

!! Koka and Yoka
* TheCorruption: As Yokai who have transformed into Akuma, which is notable given how Obu points out that Bao-Bao are usually particularly resistant to that. [[spoiler: Given that picking up one of their horns caused Kiliwen to come into contact with Babylon, it's implied that he was somehow involved]].
* DualBoss: They are fought together, and effectively share the same hit pool.
* FireIceDuo: Koka being the fire one, and Yoka being the ice one.
* SmugSnake: Literally, being rather smug snake-like beings. Less so after a particularly nasty smite-infused javelin throw from Talis.
* SnakePeople: They are both Bao-Bao Akuma, and so have a Naga-esque look.
* WaveMotionGun: Their Apex Blast.

!! Minshi Sho
* BatPeople: As a Tearn.
* EnemyScan: He provides advice on enemies to the party in battle, represented mechanically by his presence granting them advantage on Martial Checks.
* HelpfulMook: He's working for the Eclipse, which have been largely an antagonistic force, but he himself is friendly and helpful to the party.
* MrExposition: When the party brings him along as they explore the dungeon where they found him, he provides a great deal of additional information on the things that they find.
* NonActionGuy: He admits that he's not a fighter, which was why most of the dungeon where the party finds him had gone unexplored before their arrival. When Baeth mugs him, there's not much he can do about it.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Out of the overall story, he has only appeared in a small part of the "Into the Mists" campaign thus far, but he is most likely the one who found a path through the Mists for the Eclipse, an act which has resulted in a considerable amount of conflict in the overarching Glies storyline.

!! Obu Uzuki
* ActuallyPrettyFunny: Not him, but when Baeth makes a crack about the numerous eyes across his arms, his Yokai mother found it amusing and high-fives him.
* TheCameo: He also makes a brief appearance in "Shrine of Sin", during which he provides Kenji with some background information on both Onimetsu and Yozai, as well as oversees a power-up that Kenji receives through his Yozai heritage. This appearance ends with him being dispatched by Iho Sukata to locate the "Into the Mists" party.
* CombatMedic: He seems to be primarily focused on his martial prowess, but also proves capable of very effectively patching up Garlic after he takes a few bad hits.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Agrees to Yukina's request to act as her meat shield. During the battle against the Mistbirths and Mistcallers in particular, he devotes a considerable portion of his efforts specifically towards keeping her safe.
* DemonSlaying: He turns out to be an Onimetsu, which ends up coming in handy when the party comes across a pair of boss-level Akuma shortly after meeting him.
* EverythingsBetterWithSamurai: He is a travelling samurai when party first meets him.
* EyesDoNotBelongThere: As a Yozai, he has spirit arms, which in his specific case are covered in red eyes. There are even eyes on his ''sword''.
* FlashStep: He does this to demonstrate to the group what he's capable of bringing should they hire him, which is successful in convincing them to do so.
* FlyingFace: His Yokai mother, who has PrehensileHair that allows her to interact with things, though she leaves that kind of thing to Obu most of the time.
* GuestStarPartyMember: The party hires him to join them in their quest.
* PaperTalisman: As an Onimetsu, he makes use of these.
* ParentChildTeam: He travels with his Yokai mother, who hasn't been named.
* PraetorianGuard: He mentioned having previously served as the personal guard for the Daimyo of the Fruit Fly Clan.
* PrehensileHair: His Yokai mother's hair is quite adept at this, proving capable of a variety of applications.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Fish. He's first drawn to the party when they're cooking some, and Baeth convinces him to lower his cost for his services by offering to make him more.

!! The Purging One
* [[spoiler: AIIsACrapshoot: It's an advanced alien artificial intelligence tasked with producing and controlling the mist, but has become corrupted due to the Depthar, which it wasn't designed to deal with]].
* BigBad: Of "Into the Mists".
* CannotTellALie: [[spoiler: As a computer]], it has no ability for deception.
* FailedASpotCheck: It doesn't seem to notice at first that [[spoiler: the human crew assigned to it, who were kept in cryostasis pods around it, are all long dead]].
* [[spoiler: MachineSpeak: Naturally, an artificial intelligence would communicate like this.]]
* {{Oculothorax}}: It's a giant eyeball with arms behind it and a face for its pupil.
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: [[spoiler: It killed off its human crew, presumably due to being corrupted]].
* TurnsRed: [[spoiler: When the party exposes its inner core. However, Kiliwen was able to use a device to engage it in a Clash that destroys said core and immediately disables it before it can do anything further]].
* WaveMotionGun: Its Purge attack.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Its main directive is to cleanse "the infection" and doesn't care too much about local wildlife that might be affected in the process. [[spoiler: Especially when it begins to activate "Phase 2", intended to be a full culling of Glies]].

!! SIMP
* AloofAlly: He's not really happy about getting dragged into the party's shenanigans. As Arcadum put it:
-->'''Arcadum''': This creature is not trying to deceive anyone. It does not mean you any harm, but it ''doesn't'' give a shit about you.
* BerserkButton: He really doesn't like it when people do not speak of [[spoiler: Babylon, his master,]] with what he feels is proper respect.
* EyelessFace: His horns are where his eyes would be.
* {{Familiar}}: He is Kiliwen's.
* FunWithAcronyms: SIMP is short for Silly IMP.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: His actual name is Menzanbozakar, but Kiliwen decided that was too long, so she just calls him SIMP.
* PocketDimension: He's capable of summoning an entrance to one set up like a comfortable cabin.
* ServileSnarker: He is absolutely ''done'' with Kiliwen pretty much the moment he's summoned, and he does not hesitate to make that clear.
* SupremeChef: He proves surprisingly capable of cooking for the party.
* VoluntaryShapeshifter: He's capable of transforming into a handbag, to allow for being transported by Kiliwen more easily.

Player: [[https://www.twitch.tv/ludwig Ludwig]]\
Race: Halfling\
Class: [[BareFistedMonk Monk]]\
Deity: Sekelcuse\
----

* AchievementsInIgnorance: For a character whose greatest dream is to become capable of flight, it's rather fortuitous that he chose to travel to Glies of all places, despite not being aware that kites are the primary mode of transportation there.
* AllLovingHero: Is an especially friendly person, and quickly establishes bonds with the rest of the party, with Stinkler through the fact that he was raised by Goliaths, with Dirst through their shared short statures, and with Mori through his admiration of the latter's ability to fly. He's more confused by the Goker, but is friendly with him as well.
* CherryTapping: [[spoiler: Coots finishes off the Steward of Rot with one well-placed Dart to the head, after the Goker brought it down to a single hit point by throwing his guitar at it.]]
* {{Flight}}: One of his greatest dreams is to become capable of this. He naturally idolizes [[BatPeople Mori]] as a result, who informs him about kites being the primary mode of travel in Glies, and would later train him in how to use them.
* HeroesPreferSwords: His main weapon outside of [[BarefistedMonk his bare hands]].
* MercyKill: He delivers a sneak attack to Afalia, unaware that she was a noncombatant until he {{One Hit Kill}}s her with it. Given [[TheCorruption the state that she was implied to be in]], it's arguable that his actions could count as this, and Mori consoles him by pointing out that likelihood after the fact.
* PreMortemOneLiner: He attempts to TrashTalk the Steward of Rot throughout the battle with it, though his shakiness undermines the effect a bit. He eventually manages to get a confident line off [[spoiler: just before delivering the attack that finishes it.]]
-->'''Coots''': Hey, Steward of Rot! [[PrecisionFStrike Go fuck yourself]]!
* RaisedByNatives: Possibly. He was raised by Goliaths, though his backstory has yet to go into detail as to how exactly this came to happen.
* StealthExpert: Upon gaining his Way of the Shadow Monastic Tradition, he's able to cloak himself and his party.
* SwissArmyWeapon: When the party returns pieces of the Splittree to Greenbramble to have items crafted from them, Coots has his turned into [[WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender a staff that can convert into a kite]].
* ThrowingTheDistraction: When the party first arrives at the Geckoi village, he throws a rock behind Bright-Eyes when Goker randomly prompts him to do so. [[ChekhovsSkill He would later use this trick]] to allow the party to get past the Sactified Hydra.
-->That's just distracting!
* WideEyedIdealist: A very trusting person, probably best shown when he gives a potion to The Goker... immediately after he had just drank one of his own for no reason other than liking the taste.

Player: [[https://www.twitch.tv/takahata101 Takahata101]]\
Race: [[OurGoblinsAreDifferent Goblin]]\
Class: Cleric of the Coin\
Deity: Nero\
----

* ConMan: At the least has aspirations to be one. When a group of Geckoi show the party paper talismans that they use to ward off corruption, his first thought is to create counterfeits of them to sell.
* DesignatedPointMan: When a situation comes up where someone needs to scout ahead, he's usually the one who gets pushed into doing it.
* {{Expy}}: Has been stated to be one to [[Series/StarTrekDeepSpaceNine Quark]], though [=Takahata101=] is also prone to making the occasional reference to the goblins of [[Franchise/WarcraftExpandedUniverse WarCraft]].
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite his occasional abrasiveness and OnlyInItForTheMoney attitude, he takes no issue when the party opts to take an additional risk in the effort to do the right thing, and will often put himself on the line to help his party, even if he usually scurries back to a safe distance afterward.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: Is on the voyage in the first place in search of money-making opportunities, and introduces himself as a healer for hire.
* PowerIsSexy: He seems to think so, as brought up in one conversation when he mentioned being attracted to dragons, not due to anything about their physical appearances, but just because they're powerful.
* ProneToVomiting: Had already thrown up multiple times before characters introductions were even over. This was presumably due to seasickness, as it doesn't come up again after the shipwreck, with the remainder of the campaign taking place on dry land.
* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: When the party is faced with the chamber containing the BigBad of the campaign, Durst tries to turn around and leave, only to slip on a rock and fall backwards into it anyway.[[note]]Mind you, this was solely played in-character; Takahata himself had no intention of actually bailing[[/note]]
* SharpDressedMan: Decked out in a nice suit.
* SupportPartyMember: While he has a few means of attack, he's mostly set up for healing and support.
* TurnUndead: He has this spell. Given many of the enemy encounters that the Lost at Sea party deals with, he turns the tide of battle on more than one occasion with this alone.

Race: [[LizardFolk Geckoi]]\
Class: [[TheBard Jester Bard]]\
----

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Is much more amiable than the character he takes after, taking no issue when Captain Keena Stoneheart puts him to work in the kitchen, and going out of his way to help out his group in combat when they're in trouble.
* CompulsiveLiar: Goker lies frequently, often to make himself seem more impressive.
* {{Expy}}: of ComicBook/TheJoker.
* FingerGun: The act of him granting Bardic Inspiration to another member of the party is portrayed as him giving them this gesture.
* KleptomaniacHero: Goker often attempts to take items for himself.
* NauseaFuel: His drinking two potions despite not actually needing them turns out to not be a problem when he demonstrates the ability to regurgitate them back up, with the potions retaining full effectiveness. In one case, ''directly into Mori's mouth''.
* OverlyLongTongue: As a Geckoi, he has an especially long, prehensile one.
* PowerBornOfMadness: At one point in battle against [[BigBad The Steward of Rot]], he was knocked unconscious, but managed to recover on his own through a natural 20 on a Death Save, which is played in-character as invoking this. Then subverted when he's knocked out again shortly afterward.
-->Madness gave you life, but the body is weak.
* SharpDressedMan: Being who he is, he's naturally clad in a nice tux.
* ShockAndAwe: With his Thunder Wave spell.
* SignatureInstrument: A guitar that he had gotten made from a piece of the Splittree when the party returned them to Greenbramble. [[spoiler: Until he throws it at the Steward of Rot as his last attack against it before Coots finishes it off.]]
* {{Sizeshifter}}: He's capable of invoking this with his Enlarge spell, usually on Mori.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: With his 'Speak with Animals' spell. It sees a fair bit of use, such as completely bypassing combat with a massive snakelike creature by determining that it was simply hungry and convincing it to eat most of the party's rations instead of trying to hunt them, or convincing a bunch of leeches to detach from him.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Potions. As the party gets ahold of increasingly valuable varieties, they explicitly note that they have to keep them away from Goker.
-->He has a taste for it now!
* TrashTalk: Weaponized with 'Vicious Mockery'.
* WildCard: Will often do odd or ill-advised things, such as drinking two potions when he wasn't even damaged or in any immediate danger, leaping into a deep well just after being saved from falling into it, or attempting to finish a battle by performing a FastballSpecial with Coots, only to accidentally drop him into the hole where they had most of the enemies trapped instead. To his credit, whenever he causes a mess with his antics, he's typically quick to help clean things back up again.

----

* BaritoneOfStrength: Decidedly badass, with a deep voice to match.
* EverythingsBetterWithSamurai: Definitely leans into this look.
* {{Flight}}: Is capable of it as a Tearn, though at the start of the campaign, wind conditions in the area meant that he had to take special precautions in order to make use of it.
* InformedAbility: Poked fun at in the first battle of the campaign, where his status as a skilled, badass samurai was marred by his utter inability to land a hit on a ''zombie''[[note]](In fairness, it wasn't really his fault; Arcadum was rolling ''absurdly'' well in that battle)[[/note]]. While he continues to get the occasional string of bad luck later, he also gets more impressive showings to balance them out.
* KeepTheReward: When the party returns pieces of the Splittree to Greenbramble to have items crafted from them, Mori had intended to use his to have an item made for Coots. When Coots renders that unnecessary by getting the idea of requesting [[SwissArmyWeapon a staff capable of converting to a kite]], Mori opts to do this with his piece instead.
* TheMentor: Throughout the campaign, he plays this role to Coots in particular.
* PhraseCatcher: "He's so cool!"
* TeamDad: Will prod the party to get back on track on the odd occasion where it's called for. This also extends to his player to some extent, as he already had significant D&D experience prior to this campaign, and so would often provide advice to his fellow players.
* TheStoic: Says as little as possible, and spends most of the character introductions leaning against a wall in an extremely cool fashion.

* BadLiar: When he is being held by the Black Silver Syndicate and questioned by Bota Freezefingers, his attempts to bluff are undermined by his poor Deception rolls. Funnily enough, when he decides to simply be completely honest instead, that manages to win the Yozai over.
-->'''Bota Freezefingers''': You have told the truth about one thing; you are a ''terrible'' liar.
* TheBigGuy: Literally, as a Goliath, and is also one of the most consistently effective members of the party in combat, between his creative use of the environment and his bursts of Wild Magic.
* CarryABigStick: Obtains a hefty mace following the battle with Whitefury.
* DishingOutDirt: His Earth Molding spell.
* ExtremeOmnivore: In keeping with his garbage aesthetic, he tends to default to eating moldy or rotten food. Being around him seems to have resulted in this extending to the rest of the party as well; just after the shipwreck, Stinkler tries to feed them such food to help them recover, and it doesn't bother them much.
* GentleGiant: Is a Goliath, and generally comes off as a friendly and helpful, if unhygienic, guy.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Manages to invoke this on the Steward of Rot when he discovered that he could absorb the power of the Rotgates it had been placing to use for himself, allowing him to heal, recover spell slots, and unlock the ability to clash with it.
* KickTheDog: While he's overall a NiceGuy, he has a few moments of this, such as withholding several pieces of the Splittree when the Treant at Greenbramble asks for what they recovered, as he wanted to have them crafted into items (though this almost comes back to bite him when it turns out that the Treant was planning to do exactly that anyway), and making some jabs at Coots over killing Afalia when he was clearly already guilty over it.
* MeaningfulName: See ThePigpen below.
* MirrorMatch: To the Steward of Rot to an extent, due to both being casters that represent filth of some kind. Invoked when Stinkler engages in a clash with it.
* OilSlick: His 'Grease' spell is effectively this, and is [[MadeOfIncendium flammable]], to boot..
* ThePigpen: Given his fixation on and constant collecting of trash, this is a given.
* PoisonousPerson: Has number of poison-related spells, and can augment his Catapult spells with poison damage after taking a rest.
* PowerFist: When the party returns pieces of the Splittree to Greenbramble to have items crafted from them, Stinkler has his made into a Foci with this form.
* PowerSource: A rather unexpected one in his case, as he derives his power from ''garbage''.
* RandomEffectSpell: His bursts of Wild Magic are effectively this, especially given that the Lost at Sea party took to actively trying to trigger them, due to generally having fairly good luck with the resulting effects.
* TheStrategist: When it comes time for a battle, he tends to be quick to look for some way to gain an advantage for himself and his party, most often with some creative usage of his 'Earth Molding' and/or 'Grease' spells.

* CoolOldGuy: Between his shows of wisdom, his array of magic, and his surprising effectiveness with a mace, he more than qualifies.
* CowerPower: Has this as a Kobold. Funnily, this was first used against a teammate. Following a particularly bad LeeroyJenkins moment from Sunder, he pretends to cry at the thought of him dying to put him off-guard before [[DopeSlap walloping him with his mace]].
* EverythingsBetterWithSamurai: Very much averted as far as he's concerned. While he wears the armor of one, he hates samurai and their warrior codes, though he makes exceptions for his party members.
* InnateNightVision: Not only does he have this himself as a Kobold, but he can grant it to fellow party members via "Eyes of Night".

This actually comes to serve him quite well, especially in the latter half of the campaign, where he deals a significant portion of the party's overall damage.
* FlamingSword: With [[TechnicolorFire Green-Flame Blade]].
* HonorBeforeReason: This is to some extent the reason for his early LeeroyJenkins tendencies. Even after he gets over that, though, he still holds to this to some degree, such as unfailingly going in for any attack of opportunity presented to him, even when it's likely to be a ploy.
* InTheHood: Wears a cloak with a hood.
* LeeroyJenkins: Has a tendency to charge into battle, even when it's ill-advised or there are likely to be better options. He gets better about this after one example of him doing this nearly resulted in disaster and he got a heavy dressing-down from his party about it.
* PlayingWithFire: As a Yozai, he has spirit arms, which in his case are made of fire.
* RedBaron: Following the events of "Pride of the Nightwolf", [[spoiler: the Nightwolf]].
* WithCatlikeTread: When the party is attempting to run from an Engorged One while caught in the Mist, Sunder attempts to use Burning Hands on the nearby water to create a concealing cloud of steam to help throw it off. 511* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Courtesy of the Engorged One. [[spoiler: He survives, though the injury puts him out of commission for the rest of the campaign. Later, the lasting damage resulting from it is enough to lead him to hand off his title and sword to Sunder]].
* IWorkAlone: Downplayed. This doesn't stop him from working with the party or the Okogi townsfolk, but he does admit that the fact that he usually operates this way leaves him ill-prepared for the task of TrainingThePeacefulVillagers, necessitating Lemondrop's help.
* MrExposition: Explains to the party the role of the Eclipse in the events that they've become embroiled in, and the real danger that Okogi and west Glies are truly in.
* OneManArmy: The Eclipse was cautious in their expansion efforts into the west due to his presence alone. When he's first released, he had been starved, beaten, and is in many other ways in bad shape, but it doesn't stop him from {{One Hit Kill}}ing a group of soldiers that he runs into on his way out.

Later, when the party is defending Okogi, he's able to hold the docks by himself, and when the Mist rolls in, he's actually having a blast fighting the creatures that come with it. However, this doesn't help him against the Engorged One, even when fighting alongside the Nightwolf]].
* SpiritedCompetitor: His whole purpose seems to be finding challenging fights. When the party gets caught in the Mists while trying to defend Okogi, he actually finds it ''fun''.

* CantKillYouStillNeedYou: With the 'Merciful' trait, he specifically endeavored to avoid killing members of the party that he deemed potentially useful to the Eclipse alive, though it also prevented those players from being revived if they were knocked unconscious.
* HonorBeforeReason: After the party kills Ikai Azu, his priorities promptly go to wanting to personally recover from that dishonor by dueling the party himself, rather than trying to overrun the Okogi with the entirety of his forces. It's pretty much stated that he's not thinking too clearly.
* TheLastDance: When he reaches the point of using his Last Stand.
* MagicKnight: He's adept in both Martial and Magic combat.

* BadassAdorable: Very cute looking, but capable of a frightening amount of damage with [[TouchOfDeath Inflict Wounds]].
* BoringButPractical: When the party meets up with the Night Cross and agrees to help them, they are provided with a variety of weapons and training. Verp, by contrast, obtains knowledge on Obake and Rokurokubi Yokai and their Akuma variants, allowing him advantage on Martial checks while in battle against such opponents. As Criken, a veteran of Arcadum's campaigns, notes, this kind of thing tends to come in ''very'' handy.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Verp is constantly spaced out and insists on doing things that only make sense to him, and his lack of awareness regarding everything from social tact to ''common sense'' causes him to do bizarre, self-destructive things in polite company. In particular, Verp is ''completely oblivious'' as to why the innkeeper hates him so much, despite stealing ramen from him twice and spitting it out on the desk he works at (albeit in a poor effort to apologize to him).
* {{Cuckoosnarker}}: Verp has a surprisingly ''savage'' wit to him that contrasts with his weirdness. In particular, he snidely refers to religious texts as lies, and in another instance starts roasting Akakai when she seemingly forgets that they're inside of a sawmill.
* DumbassHasAPoint: Despite his simplemindedness, Verp makes some very good points when calling out the incompetence of the Night Cross, as their misplaced trust of Sinning Simon gave him access to the materials he needed to go through with his plans and endanger Glies. When Iho tries to counter by saying that they had no idea of what he had planned, similar to how the party didn't know the seemingly abandoned base was still active, Verp immediately points out that "accidentally walking into someone's poorly-maintained home" and "keeping a lunatic around for months and possibly dooming everyone" is ''not'' a one-to-one comparison.
* ExtremeOmnivore: Verp eats most things he can get his hands on, eating books, gold, and other things. His player even explicitly advises against giving Verp the BagOfHolding as he would have eaten it pretty much immediately.
* FunctionalAddict: Addicted to [[FantasticDrug Black Silver]], but it doesn't really interfere much.
* HatesBeingTouched: He has no issue initiating touching people, but he's very jumpy and averse to being touched himself.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Verp has a bit of trouble reading people and understanding social politeness, which has a tendency to earn people's ire.
* MediumAwareness: Verp is seemingly aware of the fact that he's a ''[=DnD=]'' character, at one point ''pulling up his own stat sheet'' to explain that he's out of spell slots and isn't of much use at the moment. Later, [[MushroomSamba while tripping balls]], he starts hallucinating and begins to see Arcadum's avatar talking away in the corner of the screen.
* MundaneSolution: When Akakai is watching the grief-stricken Daask Breeze and notices that he's in danger [[DemonicPossession of being possessed by an Akuma]], she spends some time deliberating about how to best approach him to stop it... when Verp simply wanders up and offers him a hug, which comforts him enough to stop the process. Though Akakai's pep talk to Daask afterwards probably helped to ensure that it would stick.
* NaiveNewcomer: Verp's lack of knowledge of Glies and its culture means that he needs some of its peculiarities explained to him. Unfortunately, most of the people he asks aren't that great at explaining things.
* NayTheist: Verp doesn't ''disbelieve'' in the existence of spiritual things, but doesn't find any good reason to put faith in those things, and holds active disdain for them.
* HatOfPower: Picks up a fedora to fuel his detective persona. It grants [[KnowNothingKnowItAll +2 False Intelligence.]]
* OddFriendship: With Worgh, as while Verp is much more naive and [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} out there]] than his fearsome orc companion, their similar oddball nature has them naturally drawn towards each other in the team's dynamics.
* OverlyLongTongue: He ''is'' a frog. It sees a lot of use, both for grabbing things and activating touch spells at a greater distance.
* ScienceHero: Not quite yet, but [[spoiler: he is on the path to becoming a Tech Priest upon discovering what is effectively a modern-day tablet]].
* TooDumbToLive: Verp is so clueless and stuck in his own little world that he constantly puts his own life at risk, at one point refusing to spit out some cursed sand, despite knowing that the same sand had ''melted Worgh's face''. His player, Tomato, is so committed to Verp's suicidal idiocy that he made a game out of rolling a dice at the start of his streams to determine whether Verp died offscreen after "Shrine of Sin" wrapped up, noting that, without someone around to keep him in check (like Kenji), Verp would ''absolutely'' get himself killed.

Race: [[BatPeople Tearn]]\
Class: Ranger ([[DemonSlaying Onimetsu]])
----

* BerserkButton: She does not like being compared to a vampire. Unfortunately for her, being a [[BatPeople Tearn]] who wears dark clothing and hails from the Blood Clan, it's kind of inevitable.
* {{Bookworm}}: Akakai ''loves'' books and never passes up a chance to read. She's always delighted to find a library and gets grumpy when pulled away from her reading.
* BowAndSwordInAccord: Wields a longsword and a longbow.
* CoolMask: The Mask of Iron, which boosts the damage from her Hunter's Mark, though she's promised to hand it off to Worgh once he's able to learn spells that would allow him to make better use of it.
* DarkIsNotEvil: She wears dark clothing, hails from the Blood Clan, and [[spoiler: her Yokai companion's true form is of a giant snake]], but she's a very honorable and compassionate person, and is more horrified than anyone of the atrocities that the party discovers had been committed in Sinning Simon's lair.
* DemonSlaying: Her status as an onimetsu means she is ''very'' adept at facing down and destroying [[OurDemonsAreDifferent akuma]].
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: Akakai has pale skin and dark hair.
* {{Flight}}: She can fly thanks to her wings. It's incredibly helpful in navigating treacherous areas, scouting around for enemies, and remaining out of harm's way.
* TheGift: She's noted to be an especially talented Onimetsu. The fact that she was able to perform a successful cleansing of an Akuma corruption despite being self-taught up to that point in particular gets Iho Sukata's attention.
* IJustWantToBeBadass: PlayedForLaughs; Akakai ''is'' actually a badass already, but she cares a lot about her self-image and deliberately tries to act stoic and "cool", which makes it funnier when the façade cracks and she starts doing something silly.
* NoSocialSkills: Has trouble talking to anyone not named Joey.
* NotSoAboveItAll: She [[IJustWantToBeBadass likes to present herself]] as a serious, badass hunter of akuma, but in reality she's every bit as quirky and silly as Verp and Worgh - she's just better at hiding it.
** When Joey first appears in the campaign, Akakai drops the no-nonsense act and starts bouncing around in excitement, happily going along with all of Joey's silliness. Up to this point she's largely been completely straight-faced, but here she gets so enthusiastic and loud that she wakes Kenji up from his sleep.
** Akakai is completely ''fuming'' the entire time she has to deal with Wallace Pho (who, for reference, is an [[TakeThat unflattering]] caricature of a stereotypical internet nerd). His interest in her causes her to seriously consider killing him, frantically asking Joey if Wallace is an Akuma so that she has an excuse to take him out.
** Akakai is at least partially the reason why the coin toss on how to trail Sinning Simon went so badly - namely, not unlike Verp, she actively tried sabotaging the coin flip to force it to land heads so that they could go through the swamp, all while acting very bratty about it.
** She gets ''extremely'' flustered when Worgh compares the customs of Akakai's clan to vampires, getting increasingly embarrassed as he keeps pushing the point.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The one woman of the party.

* AffablyEvil: Worgh is power hungry and solidly NeutralEvil, but his goofiness and respect for the other members of his party keeps him allied with his Good to Neutral friends.
* BerserkButton: Denying him power. After [[spoiler:getting tricked by Dexin Volnarus into giving up Sinning Simon's soul for free, Worgh is silently fuming until Kenji touches him, after which he goes ''ballistic'', knocking Kenji out with one punch and proceeding to rampage across the room.]]
* BloodKnight: Loves fighting and frequently challenges others to fights.
* CarvedMark: He's been seen carving marks into his skin after gaining power of some kind. He claims that they're runes, though Criken makes clear that they're not actually magical in any way.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: True to his title, Worgh is weird.
* DishingOutDirt: With his Mold Earth spell.
* DumbMuscle: Very powerful, both physically and magically, but struggles in common sense.
* EvilHasABadSenseOfHumor: In one memorable instance, Worgh tries playing a prank on Verp by tricking him into ''reaching into a jar of eyeballs'' with his eyes closed, saying that they're just grapes, only calling off the joke when Verp is about to eat one of them. Verp is actually quite disturbed by this, and Worgh's terrible attempt at a joke is lampshaded by him proper:
--> '''Worgh''': This was Worgh's attempt at humor. It will not happen again.
* AnIcePerson: As a Blue Orc, he has the Black Ice ability, which allows him to start combat with the effects of Armor of Agathys, which deals cold damage to enemies that strike him with a melee attack.
* LargeHam: He wants power, and he wants it loudly and hammily.
* LifeDrain: An effect he can utilize from wielding the 'Fist of Feasting'.
* LivingWeapon: The 'Fist of Feasting', a Tsukimogami Amalgamation given to him by the Night Cross.
* MagicKnight: Worgh supplements his physical prowess with magical power, making him a force to be reckoned with.
* OddFriendship: With Verp, as while Worgh is much more bloodthirsty and boisterous than his little grippli friend, their similar oddball nature has them naturally drawn towards each other in the team's dynamics.
* SwordAndFist: Fights with a longsword and his [[PowerFist Fist of Feasting]].
* TooManyMouths: Fittingly for a weapon called the 'Fist of Feasting', it has a mouth in its palm.
* XtremeKoolLetterz: Wyrd. It's unknown if this is to accentuate his weirdness or if Worgh doesn't really know how to spell "weird".

* TheMentor: As Akakai's partner, he serves as this, helping her brush up on information about Akuma that she doesn't quite have down yet, as well as coaching her on interacting with people.
* MysteriousPast: He seems to have one with the Onimetsu and the Night Cross in particular, as Iho Sukata immediately recognizes him and is aware of his true name and form. Joey doesn't seem too enthusiastic about divulging the details though, not even to Akakai.
* ScaledUp: [[spoiler: His true form is that of an enormous snake]].

!!Kazakori Otaku
* BeneathTheEarth: He typically lives in the Underworld, a network of caverns far beneath Glies. Apparently, it's so deep down that it's a ''month's'' travel to reach it from the surface.
* BoisterousBruiser: He's initially brusque with the party when they first meet him, but once he gets an opportunity to start talking about some of his old battle stories, he warms up to them quickly.
* EyeScream: His right eye has a sizable scar over it.
* HigherUnderstandingThroughDrugs: He uses mushrooms to give himself a vision though which he obtains information to help direct the party to Sinning Simon.
* MushroomMan: As a Mycanoid.
* MushroomSamba: When Worgh and Kenji ask him for mushrooms that will increase their power, he points at a couple of random ones and claims that they would do that. Said mushrooms just put them both into one of these.
* ScarsAreForever: He has a number of them, including a cursed scar that he received from an Akuma.
* RealMenGetShot: He's very proud of his scars, to the point that he doesn't bother trying to get his cursed one healed. According to him, "Mycanoid ladies, they like a man with a lot of holes".
* UseYourHead: When conversing with Zhan, one of his stories involves him defeating an Umberhulk this way.

!! Wallace Pho
* AscendedExtra: He briefly appeared in the first session when Verp wandered into his house believing it to be the tavern, at the time being an inconsequential citizen who didn't even warrant a token. Later, Verp gets the idea to visit him again, by which point Arcadum had fleshed out the character more thoroughly, though he still receives only one scene (albeit a memorable one).
* CasanovaWannabe: Very much tries to be this when he notices Akakai. Obviously, she's having none of it, not that he notices.
* FatBastard: Not a pleasant guy, and he's also quite hefty, with Verp being in danger of being crushed by the "Ass of Annihilation" at one point.
* HasAType: He has a very clear interest in [[BatPeople Tearn]] women in particular. Unfortunately for Akakai, she is both of those things.
* NerdGlasses: He has a pair of bifocals.
* NightmareFetishist: Some of the many drawings of scantily-clad women he owns include some depicting ''Akuma''.
* {{Otaku}}: He's an obvious sterotype of one.
* PervertedSniffing: When Akakai destroys several of his Tearn drawings just before leaving, he is seen doing this with the scrolls she damaged as she goes.
* ThePigpen: His beard is stated to be heavily unkempt, and his home is very messy and foul-smelling.
* PornStash: He has an extensive one, to say the least.
* TooKinkyToTorture: As the conversation with him continues, Akakai tries to threaten him, but he's too excited at the attention he's receiving from her to care.
* WisdomFromTheGutter: As disgusting as he is, the information that he gives the party regarding Akuma is, in fact, accurate.

* BowAndSwordInAccord: Primarily wields a shortbow and rapier.
* HyperAwareness: She has a +5 bonus to Perception checks, and she's generally tended towards getting fairly high rolls when performing such checks.
* LivingADoubleLife: Fruit stand owner by day, assassin by night. She has been shown to get noticeably flustered when she believes that someone has caught on to this.
* MysticalWhiteHair: Goes so far as to explicitly point hers out when listing her advantages in salesmanship over Kyse's.
* NoblewomansLaugh: Breaks these out on occasion.
* PlantPerson: As a Glien Elf, she has plant features, specifically the branches growing from her head.
* PrecisionFStrike: Delivers one when Kyse wins over Nia as a customer, which gets attention just from how posh it sounds in Froot's accent.[[note]]Also to those who are previously familiar with Froot; while her swearing isn't exactly unheard of, it is something that she typically tries to avoid.[[/note]]

-->'''Mei''': I have killed many. You... are just a number!
* ProfessionalKiller: She ''is'' an assassin, after all. This even comes into play in the campaign, with her receiving a contract from her clan via crow during the night in the fourth session, with the implication that this will be a recurring event.
* SitcomArchNemesis: To Kyse, the owner of a meat stand that rivals Mei's fruit stand, though they go back to being [[FriendlyEnemy Friendly Enemies]] when the day is over.
* StealthExpert: She has a +7 bonus to Stealth checks, and very often fares well in such rolls, especially in one instance where she managed a ''27'' when scouting out the presence of a Mistwalker Gorger, and did so again once in the actual fight with it.
* TransformationSequence: Her switching to her assassin's guise tends to be treated like one of these.

* AffectionateNickname: River coins the nickname "Luci" for her, which initially causes her some level of confusion due to never being referred to by anything beyond her rank in the military or her name.
* CombatMedic: Has some healing spells in addition to her offensive ones.
* TheComicallySerious: She maintains her calm, mysterious tone even when delivering the occasional odd statement or smoking a blunt.
* EyepatchOfPower: Has one over her left eye. [[spoiler: It was emblazoned with a rose symbol when Lucine gained the Path of the Gazer, with a focus on Verza]].
* FlyingFirepower: Shaping up to be one of her go-to combat strategies. She later took Eldritch Spear to improve her range specifically to become better capable of it. Added to in the battle against the Mistwalker Gorger, when she airlifts Nia for the occasion, allowing her to attack and heal from the air as well.
* InnateNightVision: As a Tearn, she has an enhanced ability to see in the dark.
* LadyOfBlackMagic: Certainly projects the air of one. In combat, she mostly defaults to hurling spells from above; when the sitation gets dire, she uses her flight to dart around the battlefield providing aid to her allies and pulling them out of immediate danger when needed.
* MagicalGirl: [[spoiler: As part of her service to Verza and the Red Pantheon, she ended up the first player character to become a Star Maiden, which is effectively one of these.]]
* TheMentor: Had served this role to Captain Chei in her backstory.
* MysteriousPast: Seems particularly invested in keeping this the case with her. When Moe Kowbull explains the ability of his third eye to discern the past, present, and future of those he looks at closely with it, she keeps a wide berth from him as much as possible for the rest of the session.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Despite her youthful appearance, Lucine has a very long lifespan as a Tearn and it's apparent that she's been a soldier for a long time.
* PlayingAgainstType: Nyanners has stated that she had specifically conceived of her character to be serious and stoic to step away from her usual goofy and chaotic persona.
* ScrewDestiny: Has memorably had a particularly... unique take on this. [[note]]For context, Mei, due to not wanting to reveal what a fortune teller had actually told her, instead claimed that he predicted that she would soil herself in the coming weeks, leading to this quote.[[/note]]
-->'''Lusine''': You can shit yourself whenever you want to. Fate is in your hands.
* ShellShockedVeteran: Has shown some shades of this, as she seems to have come across her share of unpleasant sights during her time as a soldier.
* TheSleepless: No longer needs to sleep, thanks to taking Aspect of the Moon.
* TheStoic: Even when drunk or stoned, she maintains her serious and calm tone.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: When River notices the rather unnecessarily brutal manner by which the Mistwalker's heart was extracted, Lucine insists that it was absolutely necessary and ''not'' [[PercussiveTherapy her losing control]] at all.
* TransformationSequence: Having become [[spoiler: [[MagicalGirl A Star Maiden]]]], this is pretty much a given.
* WarriorPoet: Has shades of this in how she describes things going on around her or provides advice for her friends. Given how she's played by Nyanners, sometimes these poetic statements can be [[TheComicallySerious a little odd]].

* CaptainCrash: She's introduced crashing her kite into a tree. Apparently, this is a regular occurrence for her, though it has yet to come into play in the campaign itself.
* CombatHandFan: She gets a pair of these from Naus Gaki as part of the group's starting gear.
* TheDrifter: She seems to have been this prior to the campaign, mentioning in conversation that she frequently sleeps wherever she can manage to find shelter, such as in trees or caves.

Naturally, she chooses to fight for her life.]]
* [[spoiler:HeroicSacrifice: Intentionally draws the attention of the Mistwalker Gorger to take the heat off her allies, which ultimately resulted in her death.]]
* HeroicSecondWind: As a Fighter, she can use the Second Wind ability to perform a [[HealThyself self-heal]].
* InformedAbility: Despite being presented as a dancer, she has no proficiencies in the Performance skill. This, combined with her typically poor rolls, resulted in her attempt to take part in a dancing competition ending in her barely making it through the first round (and then only because her competition passed out first), and soundly losing the second round. Though this is chalked up to River [[CantHoldHisLiquor being drunk]] and unused to performing in front of crowds.
* ItOnlyWorksOnce: [[spoiler: While River is able to return to life by fighting in the Hall of Heroes to earn it, Arcadum also makes clear that she is only able to do this the one time.]]
* MesACrowd: Her 'Spirit Dance' allows her to temporarily act as two separate characters.
* NervesOfSteel: In the battle against the Mistwalker Gorger, she utterly brushed off every one of its attempts to use Frightening Roar on her.
* TheNicknamer: Has shown a penchant for giving her comrades nicknames, with Mei being referred to as "Princess" for her prim and prissy demeanor, and Lucine gaining the nickname [[AffectionateNickname "Luci"]].
* NoodleIncident: She somehow managed to get a hit put out on her at one point, resulting in a second such incident where Mei tried to collect on it, but obviously failed to do so.
* PingPongNaivete: Of a sort. On a few occasions when River encountered a character that she felt was lying in some way, she performed an Insight check to attempt to detect any deception. In keeping with her poor luck with rolls, every attempt at this has failed miserably, resulting in River playing to this result in-game by promptly declaring that she completely trusts the character that she suspected of dishonesty only moments earlier.
* PrehensileTail: As is natural for a Geckoi.
* TailSlap: She's able to use her tail as a whip, thanks to a knife at its end.
* TalkingToTheDead: Following [[spoiler: her own death and return to life]], River has begun doing this in areas in which there are (or were) a lot of dead.
* UnluckilyLucky: River was the only one who failed her initial wisdom save to fend off the HatePlague, leaving her briefly BrainwashedAndCrazy. Fortunately, though, her infamously poor luck with rolls continued when she was forced to attack Bomba, causing her to miss and giving her second chance at a wisdom save, which did turn out successful, allowing her to return to normal.

* TheOneGuy: As the only male player character in an otherwise all-female main cast.
* PowerIncontinence: Something of a part of being a Wild Magic Sorcerer, but especially so in his case, given where that magic came from and how it first manifested.
* [[spoiler: SelfMadeOrphan: Very much unintentionally; his magic first manifested when he was frightened by a tumble and ''incinerated his parents'']].
* StraightMan: He tended to commonly play this role early on, such as in his reactions to things like Jilly's efforts to interview him or Mei and Kyse's rivalry.
* WillNotTellALie: As a Ho'Ask, he doesn't lie as a part of his culture. [[spoiler: However, after a NightmareSequence from Otikata that's implied to draw from his past, he claimed that it was a more general horror-style sequence like what Mei had at about the same time. 854----

* TheDitz: Is a bit of an airhead, especially in how she ended up broke at the campaign's start. When the party is preparing for a fight she shows a more serious and calm demeanor, but it's implied that this is a result of Lune having greater influence over her actions while in scythe mode.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: Apparently, given that Lune warns the party against letting her fly via kite. While this could be chalked up to her not being native to Glies and thus unused to that mode of travel, Lune makes clear that this tendency extends to land vehicles as well. Fortunately, she's light enough that Lucine can fly while carrying her.
* {{Greed}}: Nia is ''very'' loot-happy. She was the most insistent on scavenging the Mistwalker Gorger for absolutely everything useful the party could possibly carve off of it, and when the party comes across a graveyard, River has to practically beg her to not try to dig up the graves.
* HunterOfMonsters: Due to originally hailing from Steton. She specializes in Bulettes.
* ImAHumanitarian: Possibly. When Kyse offers her the choice of any meat from his stand, Nia tries asking for [[BirdPeople Kyse himself]].
* InTheHood: Wears one when first entering the tavern upon realizing that Mei and Kyse, who she had stolen from earlier, are also there. Mei sees through it, though.
* KillItWithIce: Her Ice Knife spell, which even comes with some AreaOfEffect damage.
* LethalChef: The first time the party makes camp, she makes an attempt to cook her ration, but fails the roll and burns it to charcoal instead. According to Lune, it's apparently the ''best'' one she's made to date.
* MiracleFood: She has a spell that allows her to conjure Goodberries. It's been suggested that this is the cause of her LethalChef tendencies, as thanks to having it, she doesn't really have to cook.
* PlayingAgainstType: Vei specifically conceived the character to be more innocently cute in order to step away from her usual sexually-charged persona.
* RoyalBlood: [[spoiler: She's actually a potential princess of the Shadowfell. Lune directly uses the trope name to describe her]].
* SinisterScythe: Her familiar, Lune, is capable of transforming into a blade for her scythe. Played with in that she's not exactly sinister (though she is prone to stealing or cheating), but Lune himself is something of TheTrickster.
* SoleSurvivor: The battle with the Mistwalker Gorger ends with her as the only one left standing, though downplayed in that the rest of the party is severely injured and NotQuiteDead. [[spoiler: Except for one.]]
* StickyFingers: Steals some food from Kyse and Mei's respective stands while they're busy arguing with each other.
* TokenMiniMoe: As the smallest and seemingly youngest member of the group.
* TunnelKing: As a hunter of Bulettes, she has this ability.
* TwoFaced: She's forced to take enough cursed actions in the battle against the Mistwalker Gorger that the curse has left her this way by the end of it. However, thanks to the party obtaining a heart from a greater Mistwalker, this is undone when the party receives their treatment from Naus and everyone's curse levels are reset.
* WildChild: She started off as one in her background. She has largely grown out of it by the time the campaign starts, though she's still naive and not the most observant of social norms.

!! Galdor the Iron Lord
* {{BFS}}: Primarily wields a massive greatsword.
* BifurcatedWeapon: He connects the hilts of two his greatswords into a twinblade at one point.
* TheCameo: His first appearance was actually back in "Silent Knights", but he didn't get a chance to do much there, so "The Spirit Dance" is where he recieved most of his characterization.
* CompressedHair: Has a mane of long, lustrous blonde hair under his helmet.
* [[spoiler: GraciousLoser: He happily accepts his loss to River, expressing hope that her comrades treat her well after she returns to life before he fades from the arena]].
* KnightInShiningArmor: Being completely clad in full plate armor [[spoiler: until he drops his helmet in his duel with River]], this is his overall look.
* TheLostLenore: [[spoiler: Inverted in that ''he's'' the one who died, though the effect is there in that this still separated him from his wife. Motivated by the chance to reunite with her, he tried to gain the right to return to life himself at one point, but failed]].
* MightyGlacier: Touts his strong, armored form as having an advantage over [[spoiler: River's relative FragileSpeedster in their duel. She ultimately wins, though]].
* SpiritedCompetitor: Is quite pleased when [[spoiler: River turns out to be more than capable of matching him in their duel]].
* WalkingArmory: In addition to his pair of greatswords, he also has an iron whip and a spear. Justified in that [[spoiler: fighting in the Hall of Heroes allows him to summon whatever weaponry he needs, just as River can]].
* WalkingSpoiler: Knowing just about anything about him beyond his basic appearance reveals [[spoiler: that River died at one point, as she meets him in the afterlife, and has to duel him for the chance to return to the Waking Realm]].

* BirdPeople: As a Kenku.
* FriendInTheBlackMarket: He serves as this for the party once the Inquisitor's temple is set up as their base of operations.
* GoneHorriblyRight: When he beats Mei to getting Nia as a customer, only for Nia to ask for ''him''.
-->'''Kyse''': ''(To Mei)'' YOU CAN HAVE HER!
* RetiredBadass: Possibly. It's not clear exactly how good he was at the fighting part, but he was a rogue before becoming a meat vendor, which is where he got his black market connections.
* SitcomArchNemesis: To Mei, being the owner of a meat stand that rivals her fruit stand, though they go back to being [[FriendlyEnemy Friendly Enemies]] when the day is over.
* TheStoner: Has a considerable stash on him when the party gets to the tavern at the end of the day.

!! Lune
* ConMan: Has apparently had a fairly long history of being one prior to the campaign.
* HypercompetentSidekick: He seems to see himself as one to Nia.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's rude, crude and has committed numerous petty crimes. He's also the only stable element in Nia's life since her childhood and [[spoiler: despite only being with her on orders from the Shadowfell queen, clearly cares for her a great deal.]]
* TheMentor: His true role toward Nia is more like this.
* MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily: He's got a maw full of big, pointy teeth.
* SecretKeeper: Is aware of Nia's true origins, but is keeping those details from her until he feels she's ready.
* StickyFingers: When Nia starts stealing meat from Kyse's stand, he's quick to join in.
* TalkingAnimal: As Nia's familiar.
* TooKinkyToTorture: When Mei catches up to him for his part in Nia stealing from her stand, he's all too enthusiastic about the punishments she has lined up for him.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Has some level of this. He mainly switches between his cat form and the form of a [[SinisterScythe scythe's blade]], but has been shown to be able to take other forms, such as a bed for Nia.

!! Naus Gaki
* BatPeople: As a Tearn.
* TheCassandra: He mentions that he had been trying to warn others about Otikata for some time, only to be ostracized and eventually lose pretty much everything he had for his troubles.
* MissionControl: As mentioned below, he's the one with the information on everything that's going on, and the party maintains contact with him via a magical seashell-like device, but only for ten minutes a week.
* MrExposition: Is the one to fill the party in on what's going on and what can be done about it.
* ScarsAreForever: Has major burns on the right side of his face and right wing from a failed attempt to delay Otikata's return.

!! Otikata
* BigBad: The main threat of the campaign.
* EldritchAbomination: An otherworldly creature spreading a curse of hatred throughout Glies.
* HatePlague: His curse. It's capable of turning even small annoyances into burning, violent rage. What makes his curse so dangerous is that it spreads. What starts as one violent act can turn into a full riot of hate. And given that [[FromBadToWorse yokai turn into akuma in the presence of negative emotions...]]
* LeakingCanOfEvil: Currently unable to fully access the Material Plane, but he can still access people's dreams and spread [[HatePlague his curse]].
* ManBehindTheMan: He was this to Sinning Simon of "Shrine of Sin".
* OurDemonsAreDifferent: An incredibly powerful akuma, dwarfing every corrupted yokai seen so far. Notably, while most akuma resemble normal yokai with a bit of BodyHorror, Otikata is a full on EldritchAbomination with no inkling as to whatever his original form was.
* OutsideContextProblem: He's basically this to the heroes of Kalkatesh. When Moe Kowbull and Derok Dranf meet with the "Otikata's Curse" party, they can barely make heads or tails of the titular curse, and can ultimately do little more to cure them of it than to help prepare them for the quest from Naus Gaki that they're already on.
* ThePowerOfHate: Basically runs on it.
* WasOnceAMan: Presumably, he was once just a regular yokai like any other. Now he... [[EldritchAbomination isn't]].

* ExpressiveMask: The eyes of his mask narrow on his talking sprite whenever he speaks.
* TheGadfly: Shmeg enjoys teasing, pranking, and seems to take the most joy in berating and insulting Scribbles.
* HeroicSacrifice: During a very low point in the battle with Not'Chek, [[spoiler:Shmeg begs Oloken'hai to trade his life for the ones of his fallen party members. After channeling his patron, Shmeg ends up alive and with his party revived, although very exhausted from the experience]].
* InTheHood: Is in a full body, hooded cloak by default.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: For all of his jabs, sarcasm, and claims of being a great, terrible being, it is surprisingly common for him to offer help to or show concern for his party, to say nothing of his actions during the battle against Not'Chek.
* LargeHam: Incredibly dramatic and fond of rhymes before casting spells.
* MasterOfIllusion: With Misty Visions.
* MundaneMadeAwesome: Consistently chants an expressive ''spell'' in order to...open doors. Doubles as a [[BrickJoke running joke]] in game where he's completely unaware that his party members (mainly Brewbad) opens the door for him.
** Though in the last episode of Scrolls of Not'chek this is somewhat slightly subverted [[spoiler: when he opens a door outside of view from his party]].
* TheNapoleon: The smallest party member with a huge ego and a short temper.
* {{Omniglot}}: A variation. Shmeg can read any language after picking up Eyes of the Runekeeper.
* PokeThePoodle: Despite his claims of being a great, terrible being, this is generally what Shmeg's standard level of "evil" amounts to.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: He claims to be ''very'' old, but the veracity of this has yet to be confirmed.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Shmeg is very boastful and self-important, but rarely gets much respect.
* SupportPartyMember: Milton notes during the battle with Not'Chek that most of his spells are for support or RP purposes. His main damage-dealing option is Toll the Dead, which Not'Chek's high Wisdom modifier made it difficult to fail the saving throw for, meaning Schmeg couldn't do much of anything directly until the option to Clash became available to him.

* CuteBookworm: A quiet and somewhat shy and clumsy girl who practically lived in the library in her Master's mansion, but tends to get swept along for the ride due to the chaos her party members cause. She is rarely seen without her personal 'Wizard' book that she uses as either a diary more often than not. She has her [[RageBreakingPoint limits though]], and her party is justifiably wary of pissing her off.
* DependingOnTheArtist: Kiwo, Scribbles's player, changes her character's token art frequently to showcase the talent of the community's artists. As such, Scribbles has had a variety of changes to her appearance, including skin color, horn length, and bust size.
* HearingVoices: During the month timeskip that lead into the Divine Wind, [[spoiler: Scribbles heard whispers from an unknown source every night while she slept.]] It was made clear after a discussion with the Archmage of Gleis Azolon that the source of these whispers [[spoiler: was the Mad Wizard Tyre.]]
* ImageSong: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84X07cYs63k Aren't you tired of being nice?]]
* LawfulGood: Her alignment at the start of the adventure, although it shifts to LawfulNeutral after her harrowing experience in the scroll.
* NervousWreck: Her anxiety, combined with the antics of her very chaotic party, causes her to be panicky and easily overwhelmed.
* NoRespectGuy: No one really gives Scribbles a break.
* PowerTattoo: Had tattoos of silver moonlight and a symbol of the moon grafted [[FacialMarkings on her forehead]] and skin after [[spoiler: becoming an Apprentice.]] In Divine Wind this is shown to have formed into three different moon symbols.
* TheSmartGuy: Pegged as the most intelligent party member.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The only girl of the party, and the only girl for most of ''Scrolls of Not'Chek''
* SquishyWizard: The most fragile party member, but with the firepower to back it up. Most evident in the fight with Norubaga, where she does massive damage to the boss with [[PlayingWithFire Burning Hands]], but knocks herself out with her own Wild Magic surge.
* TookALevelInCynicism: Scribbles' time in the Scroll of Not'Chek does not do much for her optimism, and her alignment shifts to LawfulNeutral at the end of it.

--->'''Not'Chek''': THIS IS '''MY''' STORY!
* BigBad: Of the "Scrolls of Not'Chek" campaign.
* BloodMagic: He can damage himself to produce Blood Shards, which can independently cast spells similar to Eldritch Blast at opponents.
* CoolSword: Yesterday, a slightly corrupted version of Tomorrow. [[spoiler: After Anaalius recovers it, he merges its remains with those of Tomorrow to form a new sword, dubbed Now]].
* EyelessFace: Though it is mostly kept hidden under his hat, when he lifts it, his face is revealed to be like this by the point where he confronts the party.
* HornedHumanoid: Has a single long horn jutting out through his hat.
* LifeDrain: A number of his abilities allow him to heal himself for part of the damage dealt.
* MightMakesRight: Given the events of his life, he has come to firmly believe this.
* MookMaker: Some of his abilities potentially allowed him to summon Fading Warriors, though he never actually managed to make it happen.
* RedBaron: The Fablewalker.
* RedRightHand: Figuratively ''and'' literally, as his right arm is shown to be covered in red, demonic-looking spikes.
* ScrewDestiny: He enters this mode when [[spoiler: Scribbles adds her own passages to the scroll to try and force him to surrender. He's put at a considerable disadvantage by this, but still manages to put up a hell of a fight, though he's ultimately defeated.]]

* FirstFriend: Implied to be this to Elliot [[spoiler:which makes their falling out all the more tragic.]]
* IOweYouMyLife: A rather literal example, as Kouki ''literally'' owes Crowley his life. At one point in his past, Kouki was on the verge of death, and in his desperation pleaded for help to literally ''anyone'' who would listen. Unfortunately, he got Crowley, who saved him in exchange for service as his cleric. The only reason he continues to serve the Lord of Undeath is because he's terrified that [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness if Crowley ever stops seeing him as useful, he'll drop dead on the spot]]. And if that wasn't bad enough, he's also terrified that if he dies for ''any'' reason before he can find a way out from under Crowley's thumb, then his soul will belong to Crowley forever.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Patient and forthright with people most of the time, but he has limits that should not be pushed. Tiri was ''very'' close to killing Jerry for using the loom to alter fate.
* PokeInTheThirdEye: Gets a pretty nasty one when the loom handle shows him a vision of the future battle between the "Otikata's Curse" party and the titular BigBad. Otikata does not take kindly to the interruption. Unfortunately, this renders him catatonic for a little while, which is long enough for Jerry to grab the loom handle and actually ''use'' it.
* TimePolice: Part of his duty as per the Oath of the Time Warden. He takes significant issue with the loom handle and symbol of the Seven and their potential to alter fate, which usually leads to semantics arguments with his other party members (read: Jerry) about messing with fate vs. messing with time and whether or not the former falls under his jurisdiction, since fate and time are handled by different goddesses. Apparently it does, since after Jerry alters fate to insert himself into a party, Tiri must prevent him from attending any parties for about one year (the approximate time frame the loom handle could affect) so that his changes don't come to pass, otherwise Raquel will demand that Jerry be killed.

'''Tom Fawkes:''' ''[also cracking up]'' The four of us have a child. Jerry and his four dads.
* BigBrotherWorship: Downplayed, as they aren't related, but it's very obvious how much Jerry looks up to Ral. He always defaults to Ral when he needs to share information or opinions with the party, happily lets Ral cast Charm Person on him without even trying to resist it, and even calls Ral his dad at one point.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Jerry's weird and impulsive behaviour means that nobody, not even his own player, can tell what his moral alignment is. They just know that ''whatever'' it is, it's ''definitely'' Chaotic.
* CloudCuckoolander: Tends to be off in his own little world most of the time.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Jerry's inexperience and lack of forethought tends to get him in trouble with his fellow party members.
* KleptomaniacHero: Part and parcel for a rogue. When Ral revealed his tentacle arms to the party, Jerry's immediate thought was of how good they'd be at stealing things, which is probably why he cozied up to Ral in the first place.
* LeeroyJenkins: Tends to act without thinking of the consequences, a habit that causes his party a lot of grief.
* MundaneUtility: When he picks up the loom handle, he immediately sees every vision Tiri had seen regarding potential fates that could be changed. Given the option of saving Tiri from his catatonic state or averting any number of potential bad endings to other campaigns, he chooses... to insert himself into a Mataal Ika concert sometime in the future.
* NoIndoorVoice: Has significant issues being quiet.
* NoSell: Again, when he picks up the loom handle, he sees ''everything'' Tiri saw, including Otikata, who tries to give him a PokeInTheThirdEye like he gave Tiri. He somehow succeeds the Wisdom saving throw Tiri failed and it has no effect. He was just as confused by this as anyone else.
* WindsOfDestinyChange: Uses a magical loom handle and a symbol of the Seven to alter fate... by inserting himself into a party/concert in the future, with the intention of making it a rager.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Very kind, but it's a bad idea to piss him off. Jerry learns this quickly, [[spoiler:as does Kouki. Notably, after witnessing Kouki summoning undead, there was a very real chance that he was going to attack the Gekoi rather than the akuma they were fighting.]]
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Has his own set of morals as a devout follower of Lorn that occasionally conflicts with the party's. Notably when Jerry is describing everyone's alignment, Elliot's is simply ranked as "[[ShapedLikeItself Elliot]]".
* CoolOldGuy: Quite old, and just as combat capable as his party.
* CreepyGood: Elliot's an unsettling person, but despite his quirks, he's generally the kind and helpful sort.
* CreepyMonotone: Always speaks very slowly and without much emotion, even when delighted or furious. His voice is often compared to that of [[VideoGame/HalfLife the G-Man]].
* FriendlessBackground: Implied to not have had many friends in life, given how taken aback he is by Kouki's kindness.

In the battle against the bandits, he convinced one to be too frightened of Rattacus to attack him, and [[spoiler: when Block hears about their plan to swindle Dozo and goes to try to warn him, Kaju convinces him to return to the tavern instead.]]
* IneptMage: He previously attended a magic school but flunked out.
* MinorInjuryOverreaction: In the battle against the bandits, when one catches up to him and deals a minor hit, he calls out to the others in panic about being in danger... while the rest of the party was already incapacitated or very nearly so by that point. Naturally, no one's amused.
* SanityBall: Kaju is the only one with ''any'' reservations about [[spoiler:performing rituals for Crowley]]. He's also the only one with any good ideas about how to deal with Machio's depression: namely, an emotional support animal. Then, when meeting with Azolon, Kaju is probably closest to actually treating the situation appropriately (though partially because Machio could not do or say anything at the time, as Willneff could not be present for the session).
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Opts to leave Dik Cok to die rather than rescue him from the Black Silver Bandits, alongside Rattacus.
* TheStoner: Kaju enjoys all manner of recreational drugs. Pretty much the very first thing he does after his introduction is find a secluded area so he can smoke a blunt, and later he eagerly buys out a shady merchant's entire supply of [[FantasticDrug Black Silver]].
* TooDumbToLive: After making too much noise in the Depthar nest, everyone else gets to hiding when they realise they attracted attention. What does Kaju do? Just stand there as the bat Depthar make their appearance and spot him, leading to him getting KO’ed by half of them immediately when it’s their turn and before he could even have his own, placed in a cocoon with Dik Cok suffering the same for being too close and trying to save him, both of them then suffering a level of infection.

* AbsurdPhobia: Gains a fear of pants after drinking a mixture of random potions that had spilled onto the ground. Presumably it wore off along with the other effects listed below.
* BlobMonster: Another effect of the potion mixture he drank caused his body to turn into gelatin, though rather than becoming a formless blob he kept his own shape and could still move and attack normally. However, combined with the ''third'' effect of the mixture, which caused his fur to turn white, this unfortunately made him look like a sentient, rat-shaped blob of semen. It wears off by the next session.
* DeadpanSnarker: The deadpannest, and the snarkiest.
* DeathSeeker: Rattacus is suicidal, and often begs for death. [[spoiler:In "Servants of the Spire", he's completely on board with letting the Depthar take over and consume everything, since he thinks it means he'll finally get his wish. When it's explained to him that getting zombified actually means he'll exist forever and never be able to truly die, he's horrified and immediately agrees to help stop them]].
* DirtyCoward: He not only tried to run away near the end of the group’s first battle, he’s also attempted to get out of dodge twice at the end of Among the Reeds and during his conversation with Azolon. Both times, the Vizier has caught him. This is coupled with the fact that he’s the one who’s tried to convince the group to scam Dozo, just so they didn’t have to do the work of finding his daughter.
* TheEeyore: Rattacus is very depressed and speaks in the same flat, emotionless way as the TropeNamer.
* FairWeatherFriend: Best shown in the battle against the bandits, when his support would shift repeatedly based on whoever happened to be doing well at the moment. At one point, he tried to ditch the battle altogether (though he did at least heal Machio on his way out), only to come back when the party regained the upper hand.
* {{Jerkass}}: Even Azolon will tell you he is the most thoroughly insufferable member of the party. And in ''this'' party, that's really saying something. One of the most notable showing of this is when he uses a spell to convince Machio to embrace the killer in him that everyone believes he has, something of which the Skinwalker likes to remind him constantly and then when Kaju tries to summon a familiar to help Machio feel better? Rattacus readies a spell to make Machio fearful of the creature (though that ends up not being necessary, since the familiar Kaju gets is Mouth, who is creepy enough on his own).
* KnowNothingKnowItAll: Especially in "Servants of the Spire", where the party has to undertake a combat-heavy mission that they can't just squirm out of, something clearly well out of his wheelhouse. He insists that the enchanted rope that the party is offered [[note]]Basically an entrance to a PocketDimension where they can rest without interruption[[/note]] is useless, despite both Arcadum and Willneff trying to point out what it does, and how it's actually invaluable given the situation that they're about to be thrust into, and pushes the party to ask for a single magic weapon instead(which ''he'' [[KarmaHoudini ends up getting]]). When they're in the Depthar nest, he constantly second-guesses Machio's suggestions, trying to counter Machio's actually-respectable knowledge of both the Depthar and combat in general with the very few bits and pieces he bothered to remember, most of which he seems to have misinterpreted.
* ManipulativeBastard: Is arguably the most responsible for the group's descent into insanity, all while neatly tossing all blame for it off of himself. Fittingly, he also has a bonus to Persuasion.
* MasterOfDisguise: Has the Disguise Self spell, which leads to the party coming up with a plan to have him disguise as a woman and deliberately get kidnapped by the traffickers so they can track down Dozo's daughter. Later he proposes a different plan: [[spoiler:He disguises himself as ''the daughter'' and the party turns him into Dozo to collect the reward without doing any work]]. They try the first plan first, which doesn't work. Then he and Kaju split from the party to go try the second plan, which ''does'' work... [[spoiler:until the rest of the party shows up to try the same plan with Eli disguised as the daughter]].
* NeverMyFault: Always redirects blame off of himself to his fellow party members.
* SadClown: Rattacus is very depressed and often wishes for death, despite his goofy jester outfit.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Opts to leave Dik Cok to die rather than rescue him from the Black Silver Bandits, alongside Kaju.

Said disguise consists of gluing cut-off pieces of Machio's hair to his own to make it longer, and possibly putting on a dress. No attempt is made to disguise his glowing white eyes or full beard, or to give him horns to look more like a Ho'ask. 1319* {{BFS}}: As a Barbarian, his weapon is a two-handed greatsword.
* TheBigGuy: One of the most battle-capable members of the party, doing much of the heavy lifting in the one combat encounter.
* BizarreTasteInFood: There is nothing sweeter to him than the milk of a Ho'ask woman, to the point that he would gladly accept it instead of money as a reward for rescuing Dozo's daughter.
* BoundAndGagged: Spends the entire first episode of "Servants of the Spire" this way, because [[RealLifeWritesThePlot Willneff was busy and unable to attend the session]].
* CanonForeigner: "Titan Aasimar" is not a real subrace in any edition of ''Dungeons & Dragons'' - it's a homebrew subrace made up specifically for Machio to justify his size shifting.
* CrazyEnoughToWork: The "Bush Plan". He gathered the party into a wagon that they had found and piled bushes on top of them so that he could travel the forest posing as a "bush-seller". When confronted by bandits intent on stealing his wares, he managed to convince them to fix his wagon wheel first, perfectly positioning them for the hidden party members to attack. This actually succeeds in catching the entire group of bandits off-guard, allowing the party to kill two of them before they even have a chance to retaliate, which Arcadum makes clear is in large part due to how utterly ludicrous the plan was.
* DespairEventHorizon: Machio has a crisis after [[spoiler:killing Block for basically no reason]]. This isn't helped by the fact that his party members constantly harass him for this after the fact, and place the blame entirely on him when they were the ones who forced him to do it.
* {{Expy}}: An extremely blatant one of "Macho Man" Wrestling/RandySavage. ''OOOOH YEEEAUH!''

* OnlySaneMan: Yes, the LargeHam barbarian who talks like "Macho Man" Randy Savage is ''head and shoulders'' above the rest of the party regarding competence and sense. Especially the case in "Servants of the Spire", where he's the only one who seems to have any inkling of the danger that the party has found themselves in, and is the only one who makes a genuine effort to take in the information on the Depthar that Alice offers them. He tries to take on a leadership role to improve the party's unity and coordination, aware that they're pretty much guaranteed to fail without that.
* OverlyPrePreparedGag: His PreAsskickingOneLiner before the first battle of the campaign, which is the culmination of the "Bush Plan" outlined above:
-->'''Machio:''' I got bad news. We only have one type of bush for sale.\
'''Bandit:''' What's that?\
'''Machio:''' IT'S AN ''AM''-BUSH!
* {{Retirony}}: Nonlethal variant. [[spoiler:Machio comes to the conclusion that the group is terrible at adventuring, and plan on settling down at a bar and forgetting the whole escapade after it ends... right before the group gets caught for their actions.]]
* SizeShifter: As a Titan Aasimar, he has the ability to temporarily double in size.
* SupremeChef: His goal at the start was to become one of these, but that goal is increasingly unlikely to be achieved as the campaign spirals further and further into insanity. He does later come closer to it by taking the 'Chef' feat when the party attains Level 4.
* TokenGoodTeammate: The only member with any sort of moral compass, although it quickly gets smashed and pissed on by his party. Notably the only member who finds any issue with the plan to [[spoiler:return a fake daughter to Dozo to collect the reward without doing any work]].
* UrineTrouble: Getting pissed on is apparently the punishment for stealing where he comes from, as Dik Cok finds out the hard way.

* AccidentalMisnaming: Cannot for the life of him remember names of people not in his party, even right after they say it. It's unclear if it's intentional or if he's just that stupid. Presumably the latter, given what's listed under TheDitz below.
* AffablyEvil: He's an idiotic kleptomaniac and probably the second nastiest member of the party after Rattacus, but he's a pretty chummy guy towards the people he likes and is even shown to be rather protective of his "friends".
* ButtMonkey: Gets peed on, gets his eyepatch used as a thong, gets hurled into a river and goes over a waterfall, gets repeatedly sent to the Dream Realm over and over, gets trapped in the midst of a Depthar/Mistwalker clash, [[TakenForGranite gets turned to stone]]... the list goes on.
* TheDitz: Directly stated to be such by his player. When Dik Cok tries to pickpocket an illusion he's being shown of a prisoner who, in addition to not being real, clearly would have nothing of value on him even if he was, Arcadum points out how obviously impossible that is, to which Spaceboy retorts that Dik Cok really is dumb enough to try it.
* EyepatchOfPower: He wears it to look cool. After the pants-phobic Rattacus convinces the rest of the party to ditch their pants, Machio takes it and fashions it into a thong to cover himself. He tries to return it a couple episodes later but needless to say, Dik Cok doesn't really want it back after where it's been… Until he finds it’s not so bad.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Calling him a friend at all is a stretch. Dik Cok is brought back from petrification ''against'' the rest of his party's wishes, despite his attachment to them.
* FullNameBasis: Rarely, if ever, addressed by anything other than his full name.
* KleptomaniacHero: Calling him (or ''anyone'' in the party) a hero is a ''huge'' stretch, but he tries to pickpocket pretty much everyone he encounters, to varying levels of success. When Azolon conjures up an illusion of the prison the party would be sent to if they don't do what he says, he tries to pickpocket ''one of the illusory prisoners''.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Is quite capable in combat, singlehandedly taking out nearly as many bandits as [[TheBigGuy Machio]], and scared off their leader to boot. However, since this is the only real combat encounter the party ends up in, [[ButtMonkey this doesn't help him much after that]], and by the time of "Servants of the Spire", it's been pretty much forgotten by everyone save Dik Cok himself.
* RealMenWearPink: Is capable of sewing, which he justifies by likening it to stabbing repeatedly with very tiny blades.
* ScreamingWarrior: Every attack he unleashes is accompanied by a slew of profanity.
* StealthBasedMission: Ends up in one after being captured and knocked out, then waking up right in the middle of [[spoiler: the ZombieApocalypse that Eli had mistakenly brought about, leaving him with little choice but to try and sneak out of the situation undetected. Fortunately for him, he succeeds.]]
* TooKinkyToTorture: After getting [[UrineTrouble pissed on by everyone else]] as punishment for constant stealing, he admits that it wasn’t so bad. And he finds himself not too bothered by Machio putting his eyepatch back on him after the latter worn it as a makeshift thong for a while.
* UnfortunateNames: His name is ''Dik Cok'', pronounced exactly how you think it is, which gets the expected reaction whenever he introduces himself.

* SupremeChef: According to Machio, he is a culinary master.
* WalkingSpoiler: As a fairly nondescript [=NPC=], there's not much reason for him to have an individual entry here, other than [[spoiler: that the party forces Machio to murder him]].

!! Dozo Gourd
* CannotTellALie: As a Ho'Ask, he refuses to lie as a part of his culture. As you might expect, this results in him getting ''extra'' pissed when he realizes that [[spoiler: that the party tried to get out of rescuing his daughter by bringing him an imposter instead]].
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Let's just say that entrusting ''this'' party with getting his daughter back wasn't the wisest move.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: When the party returns from their initial task pretty much empty-handed save for news that the caravan was destroyed and his daughter was kidnapped, he recognizes that they did accomplish what he asked and pays them with no further complaint. He treats his request for them to recover his daughter as a separate task.

!! Elwreath
* AuthorAvatar: There's a brief moment of this with him when he's torturing Dik Cok for information, when he chastises Dik Cok for not bothering to remember any details of the campaign he was taking part in. Though Arcadum makes clear that this is just good-natured ribbing and not meant to be taken ''too'' seriously.
* GoodPowersBadPeople: His healing abilities are put to use to torture Dik Cok by repeatedly knocking him out to send him to the Dream Realm, healing him just enough to rouse him, and then knock him out again the next time he's caught lying. He continues this until he runs out of healing spells, at which point he leaves Dik Cok in the Dream Realm until he wakes up on his own.
* LivingLieDetector: Has a spell that allows him to sense lies, and punishes Dik Cok every time the Goblin tries to lie to him.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: His camp was overrun by [[spoiler: the Deptharian corruption unleashed by Eli]], and one of his lieutenants is shown being killed by the Fleshcrimes that came about as a result of it, but his own fate is currently uncertain.

!! Mouth
* EyelessFace: His face consists of nothing more than an oversized, toothy maw.
* {{Familiar}}: He's Kaju's familiar. Note that Kaju is not happy about this, since he's just as creeped out by Mouth as everyone else and desired something else like a Succubus, but he's stuck with him whether he likes it or not.
* HoldYourHippogriffs: He uses "I'll be saved" in place of "I'll be damned", since as a demon [[BadIsGoodAndGoodIsBad he presumably considers being damned to be a good thing]]. Arcadum is subsequently disappointed that nobody got the joke.
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: Kaju's intent was to summon an emotional support animal to help Machio get over his trauma from [[spoiler:killing Block]]. He got Mouth instead. To Mouth's credit, he ''does'' help Machio... kind of.
* ObviouslyEvil: When Kaju tries to present a disguised Rattacus to Dozo with Mouth in tow, Arcadum doesn't bother with a Deception check for him because, as he put it, there's absolutely ''no'' chance that the Ho'Ask will trust ''anything'' he has to say.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Tends to get uncomfortably close when speaking to someone.
* NotHelpingYourCase: At the start of "Servants of the Spire" when meeting with Azolon, the rest of the party pushes Kaju to summon him so he can vouch for their side of the story. His presence... doesn't help, to say the least.
