Examples of AnIcePerson in anime and manga.
----
* Esdeath of ''Manga/AkameGaKill'' is one of the single most powerful human beings on earth by pure strength alone. Add to this a special weapon called a Teigu contained in her body that gives her complete control of ice (she can conjure it from thin air without any moisture) and the ability to freeze anything and everything, including ''[[spoiler: [[TimeStandsStill time and space]]]]'', makes her an enemy that requires an ''entire'' army just to pose a threat to. She is also a complete and total sadist, who delights in causing terrible pain and suffering to anyone and anything.
%%* Some characters are this in ''Literature/{{Anpanman}}''.
* ''Anime/BakutenShootBeyblade'': The spirit/avatar of Tala Valkov's bey, Wolborg, is a wolf covered in white fur and large icicles. It's special move, Novae Rog, makes full use of it's ice-based powers to freeze the opponent solid before Wolborg smashes straight into them. This move shattered Kenny's Hopper.
* Akashikibu from ''Manga/BlazerDrive'' (coincidentally, she feels true beauty should last forever and manipulates a person with the same face-concealing bangs as [[Manga/{{Naruto}} Deidara]]).
* ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'':
** Hitsugaya's Zanpakuto, ''Hyourinmaru'' (translation: Ice Ring) is the strongest of the ice-based Zanpakuto, but due to his youth, at the start of the story it was still unmastered and placed severe limits on its ability. His Bankai is Daiguren Hyourinmaru and it enhances his ice abilities.
** Rukia's Zanpakuto (''Sode no Shirayuki,'' translation: Sleeved White Snow) freezes everything it touches, enabling it to produce ice pillars, avalanches, and ice-quakes, or turn enemies into solid ice and flash freeze everything in its radius. The power first freezes herself, reducing her body temperature to Absolute Zero, thus preventing her body from absorbing toxic substances. In Bankai, she becomes a pure white, icy statue clad in white robes. If she fights at freezing temperatures for too long, or raises her body temperature back to normal too quickly, her body will begin to fracture and shatter. While Hitsugaya boasts the strongest ice-based Zanpakuto, Rukia's is regarded as the most beautiful.
** If the [[MeaningfulName name of her Zanpakuto is indeed meaningful]], the lieutenant of the 4th Squad, Isane Kotetsu, may be like this too (her Zanpakutou is ''Itegumo,'' translation: Frozen Cloud). Unfortunately, the series never reveals her abilities.
** FillerVillain Sojiro Kusaka of ''[[NonSerialMovie The DiamondDust Rebellion]]'' movie. He has the exact same Zanpakuto as his childhood friend Hitsugaya, but since two Soul Reapers having the same Zanpakuto isn't allowed, they were forced to fight each other to see who would keep it. [[DoomedByCanon Hitsugaya]] [[ForegoneConclusion won]] and Kusaka has returned to seek vengeance. He turns into a huge ice dragon towards the end.
* Steven A. Starphase of ''Anime/BloodBlockadeBattlefront'' has similar powers, except he uses his own blood as a freezing agent, and finishes his frozen adversaries off with a kick.
* Anastasia the Glacier from ''Manga/Brave10'' who's, fittingly, [[SensualSlavs Russian]] and has mastery over ice jutsu. She claims to be very cold in every sense, [[spoiler:which includes cold-hearted betrayals.]]
%%* The Snow and The Freeze from ''Manga/CardcaptorSakura''.
* ''Manga/CodeBreaker'': Yukihina's most common application of his power, though he seems to be able to control water in any form.
* Karin from Manga/ChibiDevi uses ice based magic when wearing her penguin costume, which is ironic considering how [[HotBlooded quick tempered]] she is, meanwhile, the much more even tempered Mao gets [[PlayingWithFire fire]].
* November 11 in ''Anime/DarkerThanBlack'' sort of counts. His ability is to drain heat from anything he touches; cells burst and water turns to ice almost instantly. He can't [[ElementalBaggage make ice out of nowhere]], however, and needs something to conduct the freeze effect to be of much use.
* Yoshino from ''Literature/DateALive'' also has these powers in their spirit form.
* Seira from ''Anime/DayBreakIllusion''. How she got this from the power of [[TarotMotifs The Star]] is unclear.
* ''Manga/DemonSlayerKimetsuNoYaiba'': Doma, Upper Moon 2 of the Twelve Demon Moons, possesses extremely powerful cryokinesis and ice-based abilities as his Blood Demon Art (Blood Magic). Essentially, he can generate ice and frost from his flesh and blood and can spawn it anywhere in his vicinity, as well as psionically manipulating it at will, allowing him to unleash incredibly potent ice techniques. On top of that, he can create a special type of demonic powdered ice lethal to those that inhale it (except for Doma) inducing necrosis and rendering them unable to fight very quickly. Doma usually channels his cryokinesis through his pair of Japanese war fans, enhancing his [[CombatHandFan Tessenjutsu]] with ice and frost. He usually manipulates ice as frozen lotuses and vines or as petal-shaped frost shards to cut or freeze his enemies. Doma can also create waves of freezing clouds, wintery icicles and stalagmites, icy humanoid figures and even miniature ice clones of himself capable of unleashing the same techniques with the same skill and potency as Doma himself. Doma's final technique of ice is a giant ice Bodhisattva statue that can generate immense gusts of his deadly ice powder and freezing attacks on top of powerful physical attacks.
* Metalgarurumon in ''Franchise/{{Digimon}}'' can fire ice missiles and freezing breath (the latter oddly [[CallingYourAttacks called]] "Metal Wolf Claw").
** He's got ice and destructive versions of all his attacks, all of which are prone to being labeled "Metal Wolf Claw" or "Ice Wolf Claw" depending on how the writers are feeling (though the original name of the attack is Cocytus Breath, named after one of the five rivers of the underworld in Greek Mythology). Also, there are a number of ice-related Digimon and ice versions of non-ice Digimon. Contrary to popular belief, Gabumon is ''not'' one of these -- the blue energy he fires was once used to start a fire.
** Vikemon is able to use Arctic Blizzard, which actually freezes enemies by surrounding them with a massive blizzard, then shatters them.
** Seadramon's main attack is freezing breath, which he used to encase Garurumon in ice in his first appearance. [=MetalSeadramon=] also has a freezing breath attack, at least in the non-''Adventure'' material (there he has fire breath).
** [=IceDevimon=] from ''Anime/DigimonTamers'', ''Anime/DigimonFrontier'', and ''Anime/DigimonFusion'' is a Devimon, but [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin with ice powers.]]
** Tomoki Himi from ''Anime/DigimonFrontier'' possesses the Human and Beast Spirits of Ice, which allow him to [[HenshinHero transform into]] Chakkmon/Kumamon, a polar bear on skis, or Blizzarmon/Korikakumon, a twin tomahawk wielding yeti.
*** Tomoki is also one of two members of the team whose [[MeaningfulName name]] [[PropheticNames invokes his element]] -- the "Hi" in Himi uses the same Japanese character for "ice".
* ''Anime/DoraemonGreatAdventureInTheAntarcticKachiKochi'' has a new BigBad, Blizarga, an ice elemental whose powers including breathing freezing jets of snow, freeze everywhere it steps, and can convert an entire ''planet'' to EndlessWinter. [[MeaningfulName why else would it be named Blizarga - as in, blizzard]]?
%%* Margarite from ''Literature/DragonCrisis''.
* ''Manga/FairyTail'':
** The wizard Ur is FamedInStory as a master of Ice-Make magic, which effectively involving [[ShapingYourAttacks creating and shaping ice into various objects]]. While it's a fighting style that prioritizes creativity over raw power, Ur was considered one of the strongest wizards on the whole continent cut down in her prime via HeroicSacrifice to stop a rampaging demon and save her students, [[spoiler:and when a fascicle of her was created from Gray and Lyon's memories during the final arc by a villain, she showed she was strong enough to replicate a ''volcanic eruption''.]]
** Gray and Lyon, as students of Ur, were taught Ice Make by her. Lyon creates moving, 'dynamic' ice compared to Gray's 'static' ice. [[spoiler:Gray would later on inherit Ice Devil Slayer Magic and combine it with his Ice Make.]]
** [[GenderBlenderName Eve]] uses Snow magic.
** [[spoiler:Ur's daughter, Ultear, can also use Ice Make, though she seems to have a personal distaste for it given her MommyIssues. She only resorts to using it when Gray finds a way to counter her Time magic.]]
** Silver of [[OurDemonsAreDifferent Tartaros]] is an Ice [[DemonSlaying Devil Slayer]]. He's so powerful that he can freeze [[PlayingWithFire Natsu]] solid with one gesture. He also effortlessly froze the great fire dragon Atlas Flame's spirit. Fitting then that he's also [[spoiler: Gray's father.]]
** Invel Yura of Alvarez's [[PraetorianGuard Spriggan 12]] is known as the "Winter General" and has mastered Ice Magic to the point that he can effortlessly create massive blizzards and [[MyKungFuIsStrongerThanYours overpower the Ice Magic of other wizards]]. Most tellingly, his attacks are so powerful they can make Gray feel the chill, despite both his training in frozen wastelands as a child [[spoiler:and his Ice Devil Slayer Magic giving him immunity to the cold]].
* Ryuuga from ''Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar'' uses a fighting style that freezes his enemy from the inside.
* Tokiya Mikagami in ''Manga/FlameOfRecca'' has a lot of water-based attacks, but that's mostly his low-level techniques. His high level technique includes ice-based attacks. On the other hand, his master, Meguri Kyouza, and his fellow Hyomon Ken practitioner, Kai, goes to the extreme and only uses ice.
* ''[[Manga/FullmetalAlchemist Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood]]'' gives us Isaac [=McDougall=], the Freezing Alchemist. However, he's been shown to use not just ice, but high-pressure [[MakingASplash water]], steam, and [[BloodyMurder his own blood]]. His favored mode of killing is to freeze or boil all the water in a person's body.
* Nobara Ibaragi in ''Manga/GakuenAlice'' has the Alice (magic power) of Ice.
* Yukino Houjou of ''VideoGame/GateKeepers'', the [[ReallySevenHundredYearsOld immortal]] and ridiculously powerful user of the Gate of Ice and Snow.
* ''Manga/{{Guyver}}'' has Bio-Freezer, a [[NoPlansNoPrototypeNoBackup Lost Number]] who can shoot chilling air that can freeze a lake in a few seconds. This has come in handy for the good guys a few times, but since he has otherwise below-average abilities for a Zoanoid and his freezing power leaves him exhausted whenever he uses it, he usually ends up being OvershadowedByAwesome. Eventually, [[spoiler:he performs a Heroic Sacrifice, allowing himself to be absorbed by Aptom in order to save his life. Aptom then gains his powers]].
* Yukime from ''Manga/HellTeacherNube''. She actually ''is'' a NatureSpirit (more exactly, a Yuki-Onna, a ghost from Japanese mythology).
* The yuki-onna class of [[OurMonstersAreDifferent demi-humans]] in ''Manga/InterviewsWithMonsterGirls'' is a downplayed version of this. They can reduce their surroundings to below freezing, cries frozen tears, and maintains no body heat. However, they are not capable of causing any harm from that, and these powers are often triggered by their own HeroicBSOD.
* ''Manga/InuYasha'' has the [[{{Youkai}} panther youkai]] Toran, which, like her three siblings, has one element each. The element she has is [[MakingASplash water]] and ice.
* Multiple character in ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'' have ice-based abilities:
** In ''[[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventurePhantomBlood Phantom Blood]]'', [[BigBad Dio Brando]] has his flash-freeze ability, which instantly lowers his body temperature via evaporation, then drains heat from whoever is touching him, freezing their blood (and averting ElementalBaggage) in the process. This was an effective counter-measure against the vampire-killing [[ThePowerOfTheSun Hamon]], which relies on breath control and the flow of blood. [[spoiler:[[TheHero Jonathan]] had to ''set his own fist on fire'' to counter it.]]
** [[BrutalBirdOfPrey Pet Shop]] from ''[[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureStardustCrusaders Stardust Crusaders]]'' has the [[FightingSpirit Stand]] Horus, which allows it to create and manipulate ice. Pet Shop usually uses this to fire ice beams and massive icicles to freeze and impale targets, and is even able to use it defensively by freezing wounds shut.
** Ghiaccio from ''[[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureGoldenWind Golden Wind]]'' has the Stand White Album, which takes the form of AnIceSuit that rapidly lowers the temperature of the area around him. Its secondary ability, Gently Weeps, causes Ghiaccio's immediate vicinity to become so cold that ''the air around him'' freezes. This Stand is actually a PowerStereotypeFlip in a series that normally plays PersonalityPowers straight, as Ghiaccio's temper has ''[[HotBlooded no chill]]''.
** Born This Way, the Stand of Kyo Nijimura from ''[[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureJoJolion JoJolion]]'', creates [[BlowYouAway hurricane-like winds]] that freeze the area around it, freezing water and turning air moisture into snow, as well as creating sharp weapons to hurl at the opponent, and even ''freeze people's breath'', causing them to suffocate.
* ''Franchise/LyricalNanoha'':
** The [[PureMagicBeing Unison Device]] Reinforce Zwei specializes in this element, in contrast to her rival, the [[PlayingWithFire fire-using]] Agito.
** Chrono after he acquires Durandal, a [[MagicWand Storage Device]] optimized for ice magic.
** In the ''Manga/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaInnocent'' AlternateUniverse, Suzuka's game avatar is shown to have an affinity for ice magic.
* ''Manga/MagicKnightRayearth''
** Umi has the ''Ice Blades'' spell as her highest-level spell, [[DownPlayedTrope but for the most part]], [[MakingASplash she uses water-based ones]].
** Alcyone, the {{Stripperiffic}} sorceress [[spoiler:who [[LoveMakesYouEvil betrayed Cephiro out of love]] for BigBad Zagato]], however, used nothing but ice spells.
* Snow of ''Manga/{{MAR}}'' uses ice-style [=ARMs=] (and one water-themed, eventually). Her real-world counterpart is named Koyuki.
** She's also weakened in a desert area, brought to the point of exhaustion in a volcano area, and hinted to be strengthened in an ice field.
* Maria of ''Manga/MermaidMelodyPichiPichiPitch'' plays up the ice angle with all she's got; she's stuck up, cruel, and often described as "cool" or "cold". While the rest of the QuirkyMinibossSquad to which she belongs harbours genuine MadLove, her interest in her boss is purely physical and she doesn't really care whether he loves her back or not, even if she is [[UnluckyChildhoodFriend a childhood friend]]. She also enjoys turning people into {{Human Popsicle}}s and specifically targets lovers because warm feelings seem to physically hurt her.
* ''Manga/MusukoGaKawaikuteShikataganaiMazokuNoHahaoya'': Fuuga can generate cold and ice. He met Lorem after his powers went out of control as a child and he froze himself. Lorem thawed him out. It is for this reason that he seeks out Lorem after learning she has a child, so he might do for Gospel what Lorem did for him.
* ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia''
** [[TheAce Shoto Todoroki's]] Quirk is called "Half-Cold Half-Hot", allowing him to generate ice as well as [[PlayingWithFire fire]]. At first, he refused to use his fire powers (as he inherited them from his [[AbusiveParents abusive dad]]), making him primarily an ice user in the early parts of the story. This is still an extremely potent ability on its own, as he can summon a gigantic glacier that takes up half a sports stadium. Having both fire and ice powers negates a critical weakness of both these abilities: creating too much ice can cause him to suffer from hypothermia, but he can counteract that with his fire powers, and conversely, use his ice to keep himself cool when using fire.
** Shoto's power comes from his mother Rei's side of the family. She also has resistance to cold temperatures, which she passed on to her son. His sister Fuyumi also has an ice Quirk.
** The Meta-Liberation Army elite Geten has an unnamed ice Quirk (or "Meta Ability" as the group calls it) that allows him to manipulate ice. Unlike Shoto, he can't create ice on his own, but he can freeze water with his existing ice in order to make more to work with, and his manipulation skills are much more varied than what Shoto shows off.
* Natsuki Kuga and her [[{{Mons}} Child]], Duran, from ''Anime/MyHime''.
* [[DudeLooksLikeALady Haku]], Zabuza Momochi's BattleButler from ''Manga/{{Naruto}}''. The ability to use ice techniques was a unique [[SuperpowerfulGenetics bloodline capability]] later revealed to work by combining [[BlowYouAway wind]] and [[MakingASplash water]] [[{{Mana}} chakra]].
* ''Manga/NegimaMagisterNegiMagi'' has Evangeline, whose ice magic can reach ice-age like states, including an ancient Greek spell that covers a 150-square foot area in absolute zero temperatures... and that's not even her strongest attack. In the sequel series ''Manga/UQHolder'', she adopts the alias "Yukihime", which translates as "Snow Princess".
* In ''Manga/NuraRiseOfTheYokaiClan'', we have the hero's {{bodyguard|Crush}} Tsurara, her mother Setsura, and Reira from Toono. They are ice {{youkai}} known as Yuki-Onna ("Snow Woman").
* ''Manga/OnePiece'':
** Kuzan, a.k.a. [[spoiler:former]] Marine Admiral Aokiji, possesses the power of the Chilly-Chilly Fruit or Ice-Ice Fruit. Kuzan's Devil Fruit allows him to create, control, and transform into ice. His powers are such that he can freeze a chunk of ocean (complete with sea monster) with seemingly little effort and with a guarantee that it'll last one week. He's also all-but-immune to physical attacks as, while they can still shatter his icy body, he can effortlessly reform it. And it also negates the one weakness all Devil Fruit users share: [[SuperDrowningSkills Kuzan doesn't have to worry about drowning]] and can harmlessly cross any body of water, including the world's massive oceans.
** Brook has managed to do this by channeling his soul through his sword, infusing the blade with the [[GhostlyChill very cold of the underworld itself]].
** A harpy named Monet has the powers of the Snow-Snow Fruit and can manipulate, create, and become snow.
** [[spoiler: Yamato, the Oni Princess and only son to the former Yonko Kaido, ate the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Okuchi-no-Makami which is a very rare Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit that allows him go generate ice. This fruit is quite unique as Yamato was shown to not only enhance his own attacks by coating his weapon in ice, but also encase himself in a layer of ice that can block most attacks.]]
* The same listed trainers in ''Anime/PokemonTheSeries'' in the anime, as well as Ash's disobedient Snorunt in one season.
* Mannen from ''Manga/{{Pretear}}'' specializes in freezing things with his element listed as "cold"--"water" is a separate element controlled by a different Knight.
* ''Anime/PrettyCure'':
** The second NonSerialMovie of ''Anime/FutariWaPrettyCureMaxHeart'' features the BigBadDuumvirate Freezen and Frozen, a pair of twin brothers who are made of ice and use ice attacks.
** Cure Beauty from ''Anime/SmilePrettyCure'' has ice powers. Aside from her attacks Beauty Blizzard and Beauty Blizzard Arrow, she can also create an ice sword.
** Cure Diamond from ''Anime/DokiDokiPrettyCure'' has also ice power, but also gains [[MakingASplash water powers]] later on. She uses her ice attacks mostly for support and rarely defeats [[MonsterOfTheWeek Jikochuus]] with them.
** Cure Mermaid from ''Anime/GoPrincessPrettyCure'' eventually earns the Ice Key, which allows her to use Frozen Ripple to freeze things or to guard herself.
* Grigori 03 from ''Manga/{{Psyren}}'' and he's in denial about being [[VideoGame/TheWorldEndsWithYou Neku.]]
* Adelheid Suzuki from ''Manga/Reborn2004'' uses ice powers because she wields the Ice Flame, one of the Seven Flames of Earth.
* Mizore from ''Manga/RosarioPlusVampire'' fits within these bounds. Based on the yuki-onna from Japanese mythology, she has a variety of ice powers, including making her limbs (and hair) into ice, blizzard attacks, and ice clones. Her mother, Tsurara, as well. [[MeaningfulName Mizore means "sleet" and Tsurara means "icicle".]]
* ''Franchise/SailorMoon'':
** Sailor Mercury gained a snow-based attack, Shine Snow Illusion, in the Black Moon arc of the manga and gained freezing attacks, Bubble Spray Freezing and Double Bubble Spray Freezing, in the ''R'' season of the anime. But the vast majority of her abilities were either [[MakingASplash water]]- or [[TheSmartGuy technology]]-based.
** Berthier had freezing powers in the anime, likely to amp up the fact that she was Mercury's EvilCounterpart as she appeared in the season where Mercury got her own freezing attacks.
** There were some [[MonsterOfTheWeek monsters]] that had this power; the first was the youma Blizzar.
** FillerVillain Princess Snow Kaguya and her Snow Dancer lackeys from the [[NonSerialMovie "Hearts in Ice" movie]], based on a manga short story, who wanted to freeze the entire Earth.
** The ''Materials Collection'' notes that Viluy has control over ice as well as [[{{Technopathy}} machines]], though she doesn't display this ability in the manga or either anime. She was yet another EvilCounterpart to Sailor Mercury, but this was ''heavily'' downplayed, if not removed entirely, in the first anime.
** Jadeite had ice powers in the manga and this carried over into ''Anime/SailorMoonCrystal'' where he got to show them off more. He's apparently powerful enough to freeze a good part of Azabu-Juuban, if not Tokyo as a whole.
** Zoisite displayed this ability in the 90s anime in a case of NewPowersAsThePlotDemands, mostly using it to attack Tuxedo Mask. ''Crystal'' felt like making a MythologyGag to this, so he also randomly has this ability in that continuity as well.
** Beryl either has this or [[ExtraOreDinary crystal]] as a power in the 90s anime, [[NewPowersAsThePlotDemands though she only uses it once]]: to imprison Jadeite.
* In ''AudioPlay/SaintBeast'', Rey has an "Ice Blade" elemental attack.
* ''Manga/SaintSeiya'':
** Cygnus Hyoga and Kraken Isaac and so is their teacher, the Gold Saint, Aquarius Camus. Also, the Crystal Saint in the anime where he explains to Hyoga how to manipulate temperature: [[spoiler:slow down the electrons and [[ANuclearError stay away from the nucleus]].]] Indeed Camus, unlike the other Gold Saints, specialized his Cosmo energy not in create power by the movement of atoms, but by stopping the same movement. Due to this, his power consists not in destroying the matter, but in freezing it.
*** Of all the attacks, "Aurora Execution" is the supreme secret ice technique and Camus most powerful attack. His Cosmos becomes glacial stream that reaches a temperature of -273 ° C.
** Of the Asagard God Warriors, Merak Beta Hagen (who can manipulate fire also) and the twins Mizar Zeta Syd and Alcor Zeta Bud (their first attack, Viking Tiger Claw, produces a slight freezing effect in the body of their enemy).
* Akira in ''Manga/SamuraiDeeperKyo'' who actually has the power to make things [[ArtisticLicensePhysics colder than absolute zero]] at the cost of some of his own life.
** Then again, it could be possible, at least with magic, but as absolute zero is the temperature at which all molecular movement stops, it would be pretty useless.
* Akitsu of ''Manga/{{Sekirei}}'' is this in both her powers and her calm, seemingly-emotionless demeanor.
* ''Manga/SgtFrog'': Koyuki has some ice-related ninja moves as her name would imply. Also Yukiki who was a snowman.
* Horo Horo from ''Manga/ShamanKing''. Also sourced from a NatureSpirit.
* In ''Literature/{{Slayers}}'', this is the primary offensive option for those who practice [[MakingASplash Water]] [[ElementalPowers Shamanism]], with "ice versions" of all the Fire spells like Flare Arrow and Fireball. Naga the Serpent specializes in ice attacks to contrast her with her fire-favoring rival Lina Inverse and even has a unique spell of her own design that causes a continual cascade of powerful Freeze Arrows to barrage a targeted area. [[TheDitz Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to figure out how to make the spell turn itself off or not launch its arrows indiscriminately.]]
* Free from ''Manga/SoulEater'' uses ice magic. But after centuries imprisoned by the witches, he's a bit rusty and does things like encase himself in blocks of ice and fall into the Thames (he was trying to use the ice to ''avoid'' falling). Being nigh-invulnerable and immortal, this isn't much of a problem for him.
* Blue Rose from ''Anime/TigerAndBunny''. She uses a Freeze Ray to direct attacks, but can also be very versatile with her power.
%%* Ren Jomaku in Part Two of ''Manga/TokyoESP''.
* ''Manga/TokyoShinobiSquad'' has Hyosui Nagumo. An AxCrazy assassin known as the "Icy Executioner", he works for a major media company to assassinate its rivals' stars to cut out the competition. He keeps his hideout as cold as a winter in Antarctica and can freeze others to death with as little as a single touch.
* ''Manga/UruseiYatsura'' had Queen [[MeaningfulName Oyuki]], who ''was'' a fairly nice person, aside from occasionally freezing everything around her in a huge block of ice.
* ''Manga/VampireKnight'' has Hanabusa Aido, a vampire with ice based powers. He's actually a pretty cool guy most of the time.
* Reiha from ''Manga/VampirePrincessMiyu'' is a Yuki-onna (well, a Shinma version of one), so she uses ice-based attacks [[KillItWithIce and is very ruthless at it.]]
* ''Franchise/YuGiOh'':
** In ''Anime/YuGiOhCapsuleMonsters'', Neo Aqua Madoor uses ice to attack, and freezes Anzu and Sugoroku Muto.
** ''Anime/YuGiOhGX'': At her darkest point of being BrainwashedAndCrazy, Asuka uses a White Night deck, which is themed after ice, symbolizing her cold-turned heart. It also serves as an inspiration for her manga counterpart's Snow deck which symbolizes her cool beauty.
** ''Anime/YuGiOhZEXAL'':
*** Rio uses an Ice deck, a deck that mostly focuses on ice birds and penguins. And ice-related ladies. Her ice theme also matches to her twin brother's shark/water theme.
*** Kaiou's Number 19: Freezerdon is the ice-counterpart to his older brother's Rikuo's [[PlayingWithFire Number 61: Volcasaurus]].
** ''Anime/YuGiOhArcV'': Rin uses a Windwitch deck, which is themed after wind and ice and her monsters use [[BlowYouAway cold wind to freeze burn the opponent]]. Her deck is inspired by Rio's deck from ''ZEXAL''.
* Touya of ''Manga/YuYuHakusho'' is a demon ninja with mastery over ice. When he went under [[OldMaster Genkai]] for some TrainingFromHell, he became powerful enough to freeze a battlefield. Seiryuu, one of the [[TheFourGods Four Saint Beasts]] (and also, ironically, TheDragon to BigBad Suzaku), also had ice powers, but he was a drop in the bucket compared to Touya. There's also Yukina, actually an ice maiden.
* ''Manga/ZatchBell'':
** Reycom is the first adversary that the protagonists face, firing giant ice crystals and breathing immobilizing frost.
** Furigaro is a yeti-like demon with more powerful ice magic, the strongest of which summons a giant wolf of ice, but he's just one of many that fall before [[TheRival Brago and Sherry.]]
** Karudio and Sauza are the most significant ones; Karudio's ice powers control massive blizzards. His strongest spell is so cold that it can freeze fire, but too much usage could freeze him as well.
