* EvenBetterSequel: Aside from the very steep difficulty curve, the story and gameplay are vastly improved from ''Sacred Cards''. Gameplay incorporates many of the anime's EarlyInstallmentWeirdness rules with fair success, there's a vast pool of different cards to use, and the story is original, told well, and has some genuinely surprising and effective plot twists.

* NightmareFuel: The Chevaliers, green lizard-like creatures with Pegasus's original hair. [[ParanoiaFuel That ambush you in a locked, otherwise empty cable car]].

* GameBreaker: The Winged Dragon of Ra's Phoenix Mode can be discarded in the hand, to immediately appear on the field in Battle Mode, negating the need for three tributes.
