Until the actual rape attempt, Grieves' history as a rapist and tranquiziler is nothing but rumour that he benefits from by coercing mages to sleep with him. It's never confirmed to have actually happened. The fact that he actually attempts to rape Evelyn makes it more plausible than it was, and it was never implausible, but I think that we should note confirmed actions under MEH rather than alleged actions, as rumours can easily be untrue, as Solas and Evelyn themselves show at more than one point.
