Misuse, must be fandom preferred.

Renamed one trope.

* ItsTheSameSoItSucks: A common criticism of the story is that despite all the changes to the setting, the plot is largely the same as canon's. The Field Training Arc was the worst offender, as outside of a few moments of foreshadowing, it was essentially a transcript of what happened in canon.

AST is now Trivia and requires an explicit Word Of God and/or Word Of Saint Paul in order to qualify

* AuthorsSavingThrow: People found it disappointing that despite Eri having a good deal of focus on the trauma that Overhaul placed on her, it was almost completely dropped following the USJ arc.
** The recent chapters show that Eri is still traumatized and not completely over everything just yet.
*** Even more recent chapters prove this to be true.

** Viridescent!Hisashi's characterization and CharacterDevelopment arguably mirrors Endeavour's own HiddenDepths and CharacterDevelopment in canon, who went from being a mere HateSink to a flawed yet nuanced character who is trying to become better.

* DracoInLeatherPants: The quick temper and foul mouth are still there, but fans can agree that this incarnation of Katsuki is a far cry more attractive than his canon counterpart, considering his great relationships with Izuku, Eri, and Momo, not to mention his crusade against perverts, which Izuku wholeheartedly participates in.

With Toga starving for Izuku's blood, she ends up escaping her room, with the entire sequence playing out like a scene from a horror movie and leads to her almost consuming all his blood.

Broken Base is for a serious divide, like 50/50 or like a 45/55, I think. Looking back, these were never really significant enough to warrant that.

* BrokenBase:
** While many readers are happy that the story avoids [[FandomSpecificPlot the old trend in popular MHA fanfiction]] where [[TheScrappy Mineta]] is kicked out of Class-1A and replaced by [[EnsembleDarkhorse Hitoshi]], there seems to be a divide in regard to his treatment. Many readers enjoy seeing him get subjected to brutal attacks from Bakugo as comeuppance for his perverted antics, however, others see it as standard bashing that hurts the story.
** The complete lack of Japanese honorifics (largely out of darkfire's preference as well as doing so being too difficult to keep up with) is also pretty divisive. Some don't really mind this, particularly those who prefer the English Dub, as MHA is considered a strong case of SugarWiki/SuperlativeDubbing. Others are less happy with this as the setting is still entirely within Japan, so they feel that it should have honorifics regardless of the author's preference.
