* GoddamnedBoss: Nikola and Chiara, most times they're encountered, have some abilities that make them extremely annoying to deal with. Having the movement of Scouts lets them easily zip around your lines and pick off weakened soldiers, and like Selvaria in the first game, they're almost guaranteed to dodge shots they can see coming. (And being souped-up Scouts, they have a 270 degree sight radius). They do have a weakness though - they are defenseless from behind. They also spend an inordinate amount of time shooting your tank with their crossbows, which is about as effective as it sounds. Just don't put your infantry around the tank.

I deleted the That One Boss and That One Level entries for two reasons: 1.) Klaus is ridiculously easy to beat by abusing Claud's orders (i.e. "order stacking", which is explained in the third Anti Climax Boss example and in the Game Breaker section). 2.) Klaus can still be beaten easily even without order stacking. A single grenadier can scrap Klaus' tank in only 3-4 shots.

* ThatOneBoss: Tying into the entry below, Klaus Walz and the Vulcan. He's fought many times over the course of the game, and it's telling that the first few encounters don't require you to defeat him. Once you ''are'', the true pain begins. Offensively, his tank can move a lot further than a normal one, has a gatling turret that fires while he moves, and being a boss he can move multiple times in a turn. Defensively, his intercept fire can inflict Attack Down (read: all your shots do ScratchDamage) so you can't get too close, he has a huge amount of defense even on his weak point, and said weak point is extremely awkward to hit. Though Jaeger putting armour over his weak point in [=VC1=] was bad? The Vulcan's radiator is ''on top'' of the tank, making it almost impossible to hit from ground level. Even from above, it's small enough that Lancers require the Concentrate Fire order to hit it with any level of consistency. On top of that, he also has unique Orders in most of his missions, which often trigger some kind of gimmick designed to screw you over. (His soldiers can charge through flames unharmed, mortar fire on three camps you have to defend, he essentially ''combines'' with another boss...)
* ThatOneLevel: The first map of Chapter 15 requires you to destroy the Vulcan, the tank of Klaus Walz. Sounds simple enough... except your starting position has you placed in the very center of the map, with not only Vulcan starting from the south, but also Crymaria starting from the north, thus pitting your units in a disadvantageous situation. It gets worse after Walz executes an order which involves stationing Crymaria on top of the Vulcan, and she also comes equipped with a special [=AoE=] attack which instantly decimates any unit unlucky enough to get caught up within its range. On top of that, the map has only so many places you are able to deal at least a fair amount of damage to the tank's weak spot, and even then, it can take numerous attacks from anti-tank units to finally destroy it.

The only real saving grace is that the Anti-Tank Turrets can't target infantry, and the Gatling Turrets do no damage to tanks, but sometimes they're paired together in such a way that getting past them requires ''someone'' to take a lot of damage.
