* CompleteMonster: [[HumanTraffickers Dabada Dabaharl]], born from the amasogi of Mami Mamisaki, is a horrific [[SlaveryIsASpecialKindOfEvil slave driver]] who'll abuse and sacrifice anyone and anything for power. The [[ArcVillain main antagonist]] of the "Chronicles of Ziral" Arc, Dabada uses a Magic Contract to enslave [[TheHero Kazuya and Kiriha]], forcing them into suicide missions till they can pay her fee, while subjecting their allies to the same spell, torturing them before making them into {{sex slave}}s. When Kazuya and Kiriha manage to fulfill their end and disrupt her plans with the demonic forces, Dabada, panicking since she'll be force to fulfill her end of the contract, decides to strike out on her own, attempting to sacrifice her slaves to empower herself, using the adolescent sister of her main enforcer as the catalyst to transform into a demon. When fighting Kazuya and Kiriha who try to free her slaves, Dabada declared her intent to use the two as an energy source.

Too much discussion of the banned manga

* BrokenBase: It is no secret that the manga is essentially PornWithPlot and many fans like it due to it, but even then there's a group who gets annoyed at the sheer amount of it, or at the very least, who actually like the plot and don't like to spend several chapters in between plot development.

* {{Squick}}: Mainly for some Western viewers because of demonstrative vulgarity and rude humor, especially jokes about pedophilia, incest and harassment.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: The manga is essentially a PornWithPlot, but the anime adaptation [[note]] well the TV version at least [[/note]] is PG-13 -- leading to fans of the raunchy and vulgar source material lamenting the censorship in the TV version.

* ShockingSwerve: The later half of the Mayoiga arc is filled with this.
** Kukuri hadn't gotten weak at all--even depowered she is still a PhysicalGod.
** [[spoiler:Kanaka is alive, and seemingly kills Kiriha and Kukuri.]]
** [[spoiler:Kazuya's seemingly inconsequential older sister reveals herself to be a tsugumomo user and sacrifices herself fighting Kanaka to buy him time to get stronger.]]

Added DiffLines:

* GrowingTheBeard: Every arc starts pretty slow but starts to grow it eventually.
** The first chapters were some epiosidic monster hunting, until the Sunao arc hits and kicks the backstory for the whole manga.
** The Mayoiga arc is this for the whole manga, also works as it's central arc, every previous one building to this, and every other arc after being a consequence of this.

* GeniusBonus: Despite the rather silly humor and excess of vulgarity, this work is still full of information about Shinto and Japanese folklore, which makes it quite interesting for foreigners.

** "Swapped!" is laden with [[UsefulNotes/CarlJung Jungian psychology]], to the point it's practically a primer on Jung's work.

* BetterOnDVD: The fan service is completely uncensored in the Blu-ray version. Well, at least the Japanese ones for some episodes.
