* MainstreamObscurity: Tinashe is certainly not an unknown artist but her work is continuously ignored or belittled by the greater R&B fanbase. Her song "2 On" was a big hit early on in her career but all her later works since then have been a series of {{Acclaimed Flop}}s. Part of this is due to her former record label stifling her creativity, another part is that her image is torn between being an indie musician and pop star which makes her hard to market, and the last part can be attributed to her colorism controversy (see the NeverLiveItDown entry). Most of her new songs since going independent find it difficult to even breaks a million views on her Website/YouTube channel -- and this is despite her newer albums being the most critically acclaimed of her career. A Pitchfork Media critic even said Tinashe's ''333'' was his [[https://twitter.com/Evanryt/status/1424747003846742026 "favorite album of the year"]] and this ''is'' [[CausticCritic Pitchfork]] we are talking about.
