* CoveredUp: Music/BonnieTyler originally recorded, "The Best," and it did well in Norway and Finland but not beyond there. A year later, Turner released her cover, with an added bridge and saxophone solo, and the rest is history. Tyler [[https://www.outinperth.com/bonnie-tyler/ later acknowledged]], "I have to be honest, she did it much better than I did."

** Of course, she's well known in America, but she's even bigger in Europe when it comes to chart success all over the continent. This points out as a reason why Tina moved to Switzerland in the 90s. In her interview with Creator/LarryKing, she describes her success as "...as big as {{Music/Madonna}} in Europe! I’m as big, in some places, as Music/{{The Rolling Stones|Band}}."

** The "Nutbush City Limits" is one of her most popular songs, but nowadays it's not that well-remembered in the States. However, it's still very big in Australia--where they even have a specific line dance for the song--and is jokingly considered one of the country's national anthems.

* RefrainFromAssuming: Arguably her most famous song is quite regularly referred to by the wrong title, as "Simply The Best". It's actually named, simply, "The Best". The fact that the three-word phrase appears in each chorus obviously doesn't help. The issue was probably exacerbated though by Tina releasing a high-profile and very successful GreatestHitsAlbum only a couple of years after the song originally came out, and that best-of album ''was'' indeed titled ''Simply The Best''.
