First of all repair do not respond. This is not a forum. Anne barely even appears so I am not even sure that anyone can make an opinion of her. I mean she had what three lines.

** Anne Boleyn, who is usually potrayed as a villain, is sympathetically potrayed in the Spanish Princess. She is not jealous of Catherine of Aragon and/or her maids, is not racist against the Spanish and Portugese, is not potrayed as callous and mean-spirited, is not potrayed as anti-Catholic, anti-clerical and/or a fanatical Protestant and genuinely loves king Henry VIII.
** The historical Anne Boleyn was a high ranking handmaid of Catherine of Aragon in RealLife. Even before she bacame queen. It's likely that Spanish and Portugese historians exagerrated her anti-Catholicism and anti-clericalism to make her look much worse then she actually was in RealLife in order to ruin her reputation. There were French Catholics at the time who thought that she wasn't so bad and did not deserve to be executed. Cardinal Campeggio was also kind to her and Mary Boleyn and spoke favorably of them in RealLife.
** Spain and Portugal were Catholic theocracies at the time. France was more sensible in that regard and most French monarchs in history were anti-clerical despite being Catholic. Most of the population of the United Kingdom and Ireland were at least nominally Catholic during this time period and there was not much sympathy for Anne Boleyn, Thomas Cromwell and Thomas Cranmer.

** She gets orders of magnitude worse in season 2. See DesignatedHero above.

* BrokenBase: Basically, the quality of the series itself is cause for division among fans, especially compared to ''The White Princess'' and ''The White Queen''.

* SugarWiki/SheReallyCanAct: Fans who knew Creator/CharlotteHope only as the MsFanservice Myranda of ''Series/GameOfThrones'' were pleasantly surprised by the actress's dramatic talent as Catherine of Aragon.
** There is a BrokenBase around this, however, as a lot of people disliked her performance.

** In season 2, both of Henry's sisters get their own storylines, which became popular even among those who otherwise didn't care much for the main plot. For some people it reached JustHereForGozilla levels.
