** There's no Cooking skill (you know all recipes up front and only need to purchase the correct ingredients) and no fire-starting chances, creating the odd effect that modern-day Sims using appliances ''do'' start fires when cooking and medieval Sims using open flame ''don't''.

* ThatOneSidequest: The Knight's "Practice Making War Faces" daily responsibility string from ''Pirates and Nobles''. To start off, you have to become friends and then some with a random NPC - a process that can take several in-game hours - just so you can unlock the necessary social action. That alone's bad enough, but afterwards you have to brawl with and then duel the NPC in question, both interactions having a chance to hit your Sim with some nasty debuffs to their focus if they come out on the losing side. In short, this string will most likely waste most of your Sim's day, and leave them worse for wear at the end of it.

* FridgeLogic: Some examples, as in every Sims game. One is that you can throw eggs at a person in the stocks whether you have eggs (a purchasable item) in your inventory or not, and in fact if you have eggs in your inventory throwing one won't use the inventory eggs up. You can also throw a tomato, which you can ''never'' obtain in your inventory.
** The inventory item eggs are used for foodstuffs. Supposedly your sim uses rotten eggs at the stocks?

* FridgeHorror: In one quest, the physician can [[CreatingLife ''create life'']] in the form of a Frankenstein-esque creature made from body parts. The knight or spy who procures said body parts for the physician may 'harvest' them from a transient named Abner. After the physician assembles the creature, he/she will remark how it looks like his/her long lost brother, Abner...

lots.

* TheyJustDidntCare: The 2.0 patch for the Steam version makes the game unplayable in Windows 8. The problem is that, by default, Steam always keeps your games updated, and doesn't allows to downgrade a game or install a downgraded version. Installing the ''Pirates and Nobles'' expansion installs the 2.0 patch, too. For some reason, this bug have been fixed in the Origin version of the game (fortunately, it is possible to use the Steam product keys of the game within Origin, which prevents you to have to buy the game twice).
