** Harry never encounters Pinhead in childhood, only knowing him by reputation.
** The Order of the Gash only gets a passing mention as a hopelessly corrupt order of Hell that Pinhead is using for his own ends.
** There's no attempt to resolve the discrepancies between ''Literature/TheHellboundHeart'' and ''Franchise/{{Hellraiser}}''. Pinhead's characterization and appearance is solely taken from the latter.
*** Although a WildMassGuess from Literature/TheHellboundHeart page speculates perhaps The Order of the Gash has had multiple incarnations of the same Cenobites. Which would explain why they appear differently from books and the legend is of a position specific demons are meant to take up. Where yes Virginia, umm Harry, there's always been a Hell Priest with pins in their head. [[IronicEcho They are who he is.]] But when Frank Cotton opened the box, the mantle was [[LegacyCharacter in the possession of a more feminine member of the Demonation]].

** There's no attempt to resolve the discrepancies between ''[[Literature/TheHellboundHeart The Hellbound Heart]]'' and ''Franchise/{{Hellraiser}}''. Pinhead's characterization and appearance is solely taken from the latter.
