Thing is [[spoiler:later volumes confirm and make it a plot point that Naofumi NeverGetsDrunk, which is something he off-handedly mentions in his personal monologue as to the reason why he declined Mine's offer. It's to the point that Naofumi may as well NoSell any alcoholic effects, period, and noticeably shocks and terrifies any drinkers out there with his ability to eat a special fruit that needs to be ''diluted in water'' in order to make wine, which is sometimes even used as an assassination tool on unsuspecting targets.]] Mine's plan to deal with Naofumi was doomed from the start, something that continues to be a trend with her going forwards.
