* EsotericHappyEnding: The solution to the painting's problems lies not so much in achieving equality between the Alldunns, the Halfies and the Sketchies, but in turning the Halfies and the Sketchies into Alldunns. It feels rather cynical a conclusion, though most of the characters are happy with this. The fact that the free-spirited Lola foregoes becoming an Alldunn and looks on the proceedings with apparent melancholy might be subtly acknowledging this.
