* HilariousInHindsight: When Sony was preparing for the release of the movie, news broke that around 1,500 pieces of art stolen by the Nazis had been recovered from a Munich apartment. * CrowningMomentOfAwesome: The Monuments Men manage to clear out an entire art stash in less than a day, preventing it from falling into Soviet hands. However, the Monuments Men do leave behind something for the Soviets to take back to Moscow: An American flag.
* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming:
** While in camp, [[VitriolicBestBuds Campbell and Savitz]] are going through their Christmas packages from home. Savitz has received caviar, while Campbell's includes a phonograph record made by his family, and he mentions having to "confiscate a phonograph" to listen to it. Later, while Campbell is in the shower, Savitz plays the record over the camp PA system.
** Claire Simone inspecting a trainload of recovered art arriving in Paris, and finding the necktie she gave to Granger on one of the cars.

* SoOkayItsAverage: While it got a lot of ''very'' negative reviews (which generally considered the film to simply be boring), the average viewer and some critics seem to have come to the conclusion that the film is decent, but not very remarkable.
