** A short time after the first series took place, Joel Dommet made a joke at the BRIT awards about failed costume concepts created by the designers including [[https://www.instagram.com/p/B8y1L-KBoLD/?img_index=1 toilet and Bad Avocado]] - in the I’m a Celeb tie in in 2023, a toilet-based mask would win, whilst there was a Bad Avocado character in Australia’s series, also in 2023.

** The fifth series had Bigfoot, who wasn't considered as good as most of the other singers, yet made it to the final, [[ShockingElimination even beating Air Fryer and Eiffel Tower in the semi-final]]. The fact that the panel weren't able to vote for who they wanted to send through in that episode might have had something to do with it.

** In the same episode as above, Eiffen Tower/[[spoiler:Tiffany]] was also unmasked after many thought she would also make it to the final. What's even more shocking is that Bigfoot got through [[EliminationHoudini despite not being considered as good a singer as the others]]. Once again, the panel weren't able to vote for who they wanted to send through; it was entirely down to the studio audience.

* EliminationHoudini: To say Doughnuts wasn't the best singer in the third series would be an understatement, yet people kept voting for him to stay because his performances were still full of energy. He was finally unmasked in the quarter final.

* ShockingElimination: In Series 4, Jellyfish/[[spoiler:Amber Riley]] was unmasked in the semi-final after being a predicted finalist since the first episode. The fact that her identity had been easily guessed by viewers compared to those who went through (Fawn, Phoenix, and Rhino), and that [[spoiler:she had recently won the US version, albeit after taking part in the UK version due to the time frames between filming and airing]], might have had something to do with it.

** Guest Judge Jennifer Saunders failing to get that Bubble Tea was [[spoiler: Julia Sawahla, who played her daughter Saffy in Series/AbsolutelyFabulous]], was hilarious - Saunders shocked face when she was unmasked said it all. [[spoiler: Sawahla response of “Mummy!”]], when she was revealed made it even funnier.

* UnintentionalUncannyValley: The costume for Queen Bee fell into this, due to the use of a Porcelain doll-style face. This turned out to be a clever bit of foreshadowing when Queen Bee was revealed as [[spoiler:Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts, who had previously released a song called "Porcelain Heart" and a created range of makeup called "Dainty Doll."]]

** Also in the fourth series, viewers had guessed for weeks that Jellyfish was [[spoiler:Amber Riley]]. It's probably why she ended up eliminated in the semi-final despite being speculated to be a finalist, especially since [[spoiler:she had not long won on the US version of the show, though the UK series actually finished filming before she took part in the US one]].
** Both the judges and viewers had guessed for weeks that Rhino was [[spoiler:Charlie Simpson from Music/{{Busted}}]], with some of the clues being especially obvious. Surprisingly, this didn't stop him from winning the competition, especially when runner-up Phoenix turned out to be someone whom the judges had failed to guess.

When Jacket Potato is revealed to be [[spoiler:Sambora]], Davina shouts in delight at getting right, while Jonathan is stood there in stunned disbelief.
