* MemeticMutation: "Acting Like You're in A Wes Anderson Film"[[note]]Acting Like You're in A Wes Anderson Film is a trend on TikTok in which users post videos filmed in the cinematography style of Wes Anderson movies under a variation of the catchphrase and caption, "You better not be acting like you're in a Wes Anderson film." The trend became increasingly popularized due to the usage of the track "Obituary", which was from The French Dispatch's original score.[[/note]]

** Alexandre Desplat doesn't disappoint once again, with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azB-_MlmhfI Obituary]] being the highlight.

* QuestionableCasting: Creator/ChristophWaltz is one of the most acclaimed character actors working today, with his famously whimsical line delivery sounding perfect for a Wes Anderson movie. His role here consists only of two extremely brief scenes. The first almost immediately after he speaks he's shut up. The second is one silent shot that lasts mere seconds.

* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments:
** The AmusingInjuries which Sazerac incurs during his segment. Particularly when he rides his bike straight down a subway entrance ([[FunnyBackgroundEvent the driver in the background even turns his head to see what happened]]).
** During "The Concrete Masterpiece", the art dealer Julian Cadazio briefly asks [[AxeCrazy Moses Rosenthaler]] what bank he uses. After a beat, he quickly realizes the stupidity of such a question.
** The animated car chase in the third story, especially since it comes out of nowhere. At one point, the Chauffer leaves his car, and the Police Commissioner and Wright give chase. They run all around the streets and sewers and wind up exactly where they started, before getting back in their cars again.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** The movie's premise itself is heartwarming in a way: It's all about a bunch of writers deciding to pay respects to the editor-in-chief that [[TrueCompanions treated them like as if they were "his people."]] The four main writers (Sazerac, Krementz, Berensen and Wright) all have separate scenes with him where we see his interactions with him, and they feel very fatherly in a way.
*** After the first short story, "The Cycling Reporter," Arthur Howitzer encourages Sazerac to add some spice in his story.
*** After "The Concrete Masterpiece," despite his annoyance with Berensen, Arthur [[DotingParent pays for her outings]] she had taken when making the story.
*** After "Revisions to a Manifesto," when Arthur comes into Krementz's room, he gives her space after seeing that she's busy.
*** Despite holding Gigi captive along with the rest of the gang, [[TokenGoodTeammate the Showgirl]] (played by Creator/SaoirseRonan) at least tries to make him feel comfortable, singing him a lullaby and remembering to bring him the food he asked for.
*** When Wright was imprisoned in The Chicken Coop for his homosexuality, Arthur voices his praise for Wright, and gives him the job to make an article. He also persuades Wright to stay strong during his ordeal by telling him not to cry when he sees Wright doing so.
*** Gigi and his father tearfully hugging each other at the end of the car chase.
*** In the epilogue, the writers all decide to pay their respects to Howitzer, and follow his will.
** This whole movie in general pays respect to journalism.
