* {{Narm}}: The big reveal of the chip scar is a tad undermined when it's revealed to be about the size of a bug-bite.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Barry saying that he has faith in future Iris is meant to be sweet, but to some viewers it comes off as obnoxiously saying that anything she does must be automatically right.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Nora. While it can't have been easy for her to learn that her mother had been hiding and suppressing her powers for most her life, lashing out at present-day Iris (who has been nothing but nice to her) for something she hasn't even done yet just seems petty and spiteful, to the point that even some Iris' detractors considered Nora behave too rudely to Iris.

It's also implied that she never confronted future Iris about the chip, and thus never got her side of the story, instead believing that she did so solely to "control" her (which, as Barry points out, contrasts greatly with Iris's character).
** Although Iris didn't win any points by, when Nora was warming up to her, abruptly deciding there's no way her future self could ever have made a mistake and she was [[NeverMyFault totally in the right]]... despite having no information about ''why'' she does it. Given we've seen future versions of characters who are ''very'' different from their current selves, it just comes across as Iris thinking there's no version of her that could ever be wrong or even misguided.

* HilariousInHindsight: In the climax, Nora is inches away from killing her father (who has yet to conceive her), which would result in a GrandfatherParadox. Only six days after this episode aired, ''Series/LegendsOfTomorrow'' aired [[Recap/LegendsOfTomorrowS4E3DancingQueen an episode]] that demonstrates that reality will literally prevent a GrandfatherParadox from taking place by whisking away the threatening KidFromTheFuture from their ancestor.

Answering examples is a no-no.

** However one could see that both sides are this. Namely how Barry & Iris were very quick to doubt Nora and insist that Future Iris is completely innocent and did nothing wrong. Problem is we don't know all the details over what Future Iris and for all we know Nora could be right. So yes Nora should be nicer to Present Iris who was trying to be nice to her but we don't know yet if Future Iris is innocent or not.

Iris suffered, yes, but not enough to be The Woobie.

* TheWoobie: Iris. Not only are her hopes of bonding with Nora completely dashed, but she is horrified by TheReveal that her future self put a power-suppressing chip in Nora when she was a child. After Nora walks out on both her parents, all the heartbroken Iris can do is cry on Barry's shoulder.
