Basically a series that exists simply to outright overturn the much hated "Avengers Disassembled" storyline as well as allowing Allan Heinberg to finish the storylines he was banned from doing in Young Avengers (confirming Wiccan and Speed as Scarlet Witch and Vision's kids and bringing back Scott Lang, which was forshadowed at the end of Heinberg's first Young Avengers arc).

* BrokenBase: The fan base is pretty much irreversibly split on Brian Michael Bendis's contributions to the franchise, let alone the John Byrne Avengers West Coast run. Some fans dislike Bendis for [[AuthorAppeal including too many of his own favourite charcaters in the roster]] and his [[YourMileageMayVary controversial]] plot lines involving [[CrisisCrossover crossover events]]. However, other fans are pleased that he eliminated the tedious soap opera sub plots that were dominating the Avengers and for bringing them back to the centre of the Marvel Universe. ** Earlier than that, ''Avengers Forever'' was meant as an Author's Saving Throw for the reviled "Crossing" arc, and along the way it simplified the Kang/Immortus connection so that future writers would not have to worry about it. [[BrotherChuck Not that future Avengers writers have made use of Immortus anyway]], and Kang was killed off by the next writer to use him.

\"Please only add examples that are presented In-universe. When it comes to this trope in Real Life, this descriptor applies to literally everything. No matter how universal the affection for something may seem, there is someone, somewhere who doesn\'t care for it. The only way to cover all the possible examples would be to write \"Everything ever, to some extent\", so Real Life examples aren\'t necessary. \" It is in the Love It Or Hate It last paragraph
