* AuthorsSavingThrow: The Deluxe version of the game has several.
** The overwhelming amount of [[ScrappyMechanic death blocks]] has been greatly scaled back, with many of them being replaced with spiky balls that damage you instead of killing you. This makes several of the much more rage-inducing segments much more manageable and makes the game difficult instead of unfair.
** Fred Fucks has been redesigned to resemble Creator/GilbertGottfried after he played the character in the ''Life Of Black Tiger'' review.
** A much more minor example compared to the others, but the boss of Happy Fun Candy Time has been changed to [[spoiler:the Bloodstain Bears]] instead of the Pegasus who stood out as the only boss not connected to AVGN history.

** Similarly, "Totally Perfect Nerd" in the Deluxe version. While it is not nearly as difficult compared to the above two achievements, since you can earn it even on lower difficulties, it still requires you to do a Perfect (no death) run of every single level.

* ThatOneLevel: In a game designed to emulate the NintendoHard era of video games, all of the levels are naturally tough to beat. However, among the eight main levels, "Boo! Haunted House" takes the cake as the most frustrating. [[BlackoutBasement Most of the floor and wall tiles aren't visible until you get close to them]], making it difficult to react to dangers in time when the level forces you to move quickly. It doesn't help that the level is severely lacking in beer compared to the other ones, meaning mistakes are punished more harshly, especially when trying to go for [[NoDamageRun No-Death Runs]].

BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Riding the lava shark in Thy "Thy Farts Consumed.Consumed". You absolutely destroy everything, and the Nerd doesn't say a damn thing about it. When you reach the end, an achievement pops up called "Yea... That just happened" [[YouMakeMeSic [sic]]]. Even the ''game itself'' seems confused at what just happened.
** Sush'em Up gives us J Li Tanuki, who serves as the Nerd's mount for the stage and has a long-running feud with Scrotoro. The Nerd is left asking what the hell all that was about when he hits the plunger to destroy (end) the stage.
happened.

* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: The first game itself is quite well put together, but a good number of players feel the difficulty goes ''too far'' and [[ItsHardSoItSucks makes the game a chore to play]]. Most complaints are also due to the game being [[ItsShortSoItSucks too short]], as it can be finished in about an hour or two.

** Assholevania: The long, winding death block corridor.
** Happy Fun Candy Time: The level is filled with nasty traps, but jumping on falling logs stands out.
** Future Fuckballs 2010: Not quite as rough as the others, but features [[ThatOneBoss That One Boss]].
** Blizzard of Balls: Slipping around in the ice cavern.
** Thy Farts Consumed: Another rather easy stage, although the boss can be annoying to beat without a super scope.
** Dungeons and Dickholes: Getting the final key before the flying segment.
** Beat it and Eat it: The boob trampoline and the starfish formations on the second floor.
** Boo! Haunted House: ''The whole level'' as it is filled to the brim with instant death blocks, collapsing platforms ''and'' tunnel vision, but the ghost train segments stand out.
** Laughing Joking Numbnuts: [[UpToEleven The stage combines all of the above.]]
* RatedMForMoney: The trailer of the second game parodies this with only one content descriptor: Fucked Up Shit.
* WastedSong: From [=ASSimilation=], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvzuUUsC3uU Croc Conundrum]], which only plays in one level; while this is an issue with most of the other songs in the game, the stage that the song plays on is underwater, where all the sounds are affected by a filter. As such, since the song is similar to the ones in its previous levels, some players may play this stage without realizing that there is a new song for this stage, and assume that the song is just the same as the previous ones.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: The sequel, [=ASSimilation=], has far less instant death blocks and cheap shots, one of the most criticized aspects of the first game. They are there but are much less prominent and you can (usually) see them coming.
* AnticlimaxBoss: [[spoiler:Death Mwauthzyx]] could be view as one in the sequel. His attacks are slow and relayed, and his robotic minions keep you with steady supply of beer to heal yourself up. He's less chalenging compared to another bosses [[spoiler:CAT-209, Dark Onward]], not to mention [[spoiler:Fred Fucks]] from original game.
