* AluminumChristmasTrees: "Beard Fear" is a real condition, commonly known as [[https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/22643-pogonophobia-fear-of-beards#:~:text=Pogonophobia%20is%20a%20severe%20fear,Appointments%20866.588.2264 Pogonophobia]].

* HarsherInHindsight: The opening scene from the first episode shows the duo working as hospital staff who barge into a surgery without surgical masks and Lano begins coughing in close proximity to the patient's open chest cavity. After the threat of COVID-19, that gag can come off as darker than intended.
* HilariousInHindsight: Woodley mentions seeing a movie where somebody used a flamethrower as a weapon, only for said flamethrower to blow up. One of the villains in ''Film/BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice'' was killed in such a manner.

** Colin pretending to have a girlfriend gives Frank a lot of angst. When Frank seemingly leaves, Colin stops him while standing under a neon sign displaying the word "virgin" in the manner of someone making a last-minute love declaration.

* ValuesDissonance: In "I Love You Baby" the duo dress up like a stereotypical Hindu couple, complete with Bollywood accents. Racially insenstive, but downplayed somewhat considering Lano and Woodley are definitely not meant to be seen as role models.

Racially insenstive, insensitive, but downplayed somewhat fortunately not as bad as most examples considering Lano and Woodley are definitely not meant to be seen as role models.

Added DiffLines:

* BizarroEpisode: "Mother" had a lobster trying to get vengeance on Lano for killing his brother. As weird as the show can be, sapient animals is still quite a leap.
* HoYay:
** Lano often says "you're gorgeous" whenever Woodley says something naive.
** Woodley once filmed Lano while he was in the shower, putting extra focus on his "nudie bits".
** When the duo look after a baby, Woodley acts like a neglected housewife.
* JerkassWoobie: In spite of Lano's jerkishness, you can't help but feel for him in "Mother". His mother died and he has no other living relatives. Then he finds out he was adopted this whole time. When it seems like his biological mother - who happened to be up for election - wants to reunite with him, he soon finds out she was lying to boost her approval rating. Given how seriously Lano took the misplaced babies in "I Love You Baby", it's clear this hurt him so much he wouldn't wish it on another.
