** Cashmere's story as told in this series. She deals with an arena worse than most Victors, she has to put up with an AxCrazy "ally" in her pack, she has a breakdown when it's announced that she's the Victor, and is later forced to become a SexSlave afterwards.
** TheHappyEndingOverride of [[spoiler: basically everything in the set after the events of the main book series. At the end of Mockingjay, the rebellion has succeeded despite the many losses. And though a revenge Hunger Games reaping Capitol children proposed by Alma Coin gets the popular vote among the surviving Victors, Katnis prevents it by assassinating Coin. Panem elects the more reasonable Paylor from district 8 as President. And Katniss, Peeta, Haymitch all go home with the former two starting a family. All of this is undone. First, security footage of a vote for the Capitol Hunger Games is leaked 2 years after the rebellion, which prompts demand to go through with those games. Eventual riots pressures Paylor to approve and Ebobaria and Johanna are all too happy to do the reaping. The two Victors bully the Capitol tributes all the way through training. They even enter the games themselves midway through dressed as Peacekeepers to murder a handful of tributes, including Snow’s 14 year old granddaughter. This prompts an already fully formed group of Capitol loyalists to
