* PortingDisaster: The ''Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection'' was supposed to be a celebration of the entire franchise, and stars ''almost'' every release from the very first up to ''3rd Strike'', missing only ''Hyper Street Fighter II''. However, while it's mostly fine for casual players, various downsides with the collection let it down; from the choices of what games could play online, only being four of twelve titles to which most preferred ''Alpha 2'' instead of ''Alpha 3'' among other controversies, to the awkward input delay the collection had and its "rewind" netcode that is much maligned, to the fact that the game uses Save States to launch its player matches, killing most background variety due to the stage being pre-designated, and even introducing oversights where a match inexplicably starts with an abnormal turbo setting. For those who play ''Street Fighter'' seriously, it's considered one of the worst ways to experience the franchise. It's also solely the arcade releases of the games, meaning no bonus characters, extra modes like Dramatic Battle, and so forth; living and breathing on a faulty online doomed it to mixed reception and swift abandonment by the community.

* WhatAnIdiot: Bison leaves Dhalsim to work on Charlie with paltry security while Bison can look in at Dhalsim at any time from his command room, and in fact does so after Charlie, as Blanka, turns on Bison because Dhalsim easily sabotages the brainwashing process. You'd expect Bison to at least check in on Dhalsim and Charlie over the course of the film, but he doesn't, making this lapse in judgement frustrating and perplexing.

** Much like the live-action film, Ryu and Ken effectively get DemotedToExtra in favor of [[SpotlightStealingSquad Guile becoming the main character]]. Naturally, this rubbed some fans of the games the wrong way that the first cartoon for the series ended up not actually being about the actual poster duo. The second season actually rectified this somewhat by giving the duo more spotlight episodes and paying respects to their own stories from the games.

** Juliá is a standout example: yes, he's being a [[LargeHam ham]] to such a degree that's he's [[ChewingTheScenery practically consuming parts of the set]], but it's absolutely clear it's how he thought the character should be best approached. [[AuthorExistenceFailure because he knew that the cancer he's struggling with would claim him sooner rather than later]].

** The line "They get packed up" during Guile's RousingSpeech has a clearly different audio quality, indicating it was dubbed in later. Which gets pretty funny when you realize this means the movie's crew apparently thought that rather weak line was still better than whatever the original line was.

** [[DiabolicalMastermind M. Bison]] is the head of [[NebulousEvilOrganization Shadaloo]], and desires world domination and ultimate power. A talented martial artist who killed his mentor, Bison willingly [[BadPowersBadPeople cast aside the good within himself to gain Psycho Power]]. Bison kills Chun-Li's father, and also has Juri's parents murdered, also maiming the latter's left eye. Kidnapping teenaged girls and having his scientists brainwash them into becoming his "Dolls", Bison links their life force to his, to ensure they will die if they betray and kill him for his cruel treatment. Setting his sights on taking Ryu's body when his own begins to ail, Bison torments Ryu by forcing him to fight his best friend and subjecting Ryu to his own Psycho Power to try and rend his mind. Attempting to gain control of seven powerful satellites, Bison intends to use them to cause havoc across the globe with their deadly electromagnetic pulse waves, the ensuing chaos of which would elevate his own Psycho Power to godlike levels, [[AGodAmI allowing him to rule supreme]]. A vile man of [[AmbitionIsEvil limitless ambition]], Bison is a man who will kill or hurt anyone he has to get what he desires.

* ContinuitySnarl: Ibuki's ending in ''Street Fighter III: New Generation'' and ''Second Impact'' depict her in her school uniform, which hints that she's a teenager, and her ''Third Strike'' ending shows her entering college. The problem is that when she returned for ''[[{{Interquel}} Super Street Fighter IV]]'', which is speculated to be set at least ''five years'' before ''III''[[note]]''IV'' is heavily implied to be set just ''months'' after ''II''[[/note]], Ibuki is shown to be a young teenager starting high school, and this status was maintained for her in ''V''. Unlike Sakura, who by ''IV'' has graduated from high school and in ''V'' is officially an adult, leaving little to no doubt over her age, Ibuki's appearances in the interquels made her actual age in the three games subject to debate.
