YMMV can't be downplayed or played with.

* ItsTheSameNowItSucks: Heavily {{Downplayed|Trope}}. Though a generally loved episode, as it heals the bridge between Pearl and Greg, at least some point out that it seems to follow a similar plot to several Pearl related episodes, in which she causes the conflict due to her emotional hang-ups, but is not the one to resolve it.

Only applies to the works made this, not the one causing it. And anything excessively spoiling later episodes should go under the series wide page.

* HarsherInHindsight:
** In "We Need To Talk", Pearl tells Greg he's just a phase for Rose. This episode shows that Pearl wasn't just being jealous, as it confirms Rose did love other humans before, and she was saying that Greg wasn't special because Rose has dated before, and she would eventually move on from Greg.
** Pearl mentions that, "Past experiences have taught me three's a crowd," the way she says it seems to point at some bitterness. This also seems to be a call back for "Cry For Help", where her fusing with Garnet, Ruby and Sapphire's fusion, is what triggered all the pain and tension of that arc.
** "It's Over, Isn't It?" becomes even sadder with the revelation that Rose was actually Pink Diamond, and Pearl was grown to serve her. The purpose for which Pearl was made, and from which she has never strayed over countless millennia, is gone.
%%** "Both Of You", which tints Steven in pink coloring and Greg and Pearl in yellow and blue coloring respectively, becomes ''much'' harder to listen to because of this one line from Pink in "A Single Pale Rose": "Blue and Yellow [Diamond] '''don't care.''' They '''never have'''"; not only did Pink resent them, she thought they didn't care about her, either.

Also some don't think that Greg's guilt over causing Pearl so much grief was properly built up in past episodes.

* RewatchBonus: Like most Pearl-centric episodes, [[spoiler: the revelation of Rose's true identity as Pink Diamond, and Pearl's as Pink Pearl, puts this episode in a whole new light.]]

* CounterpartComparison: Quite a few fans started comparing Pearl to [[Franchise/HarryPotter Severus Snape]] after hearing "It's Over, Isn't It?", due to it precisely summing up his feelings for Lily Evans.

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: After who-knows-how-long of Greg and Pearl avoiding the uncomfortable truth, the two of them finally open up to one another; Greg admits that he knows Pearl is jealous of him for "stealing" Rose from her, Pearl lets him know that she doesn't hate him and the episode ends with the two of them talking and laughing on the way home.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Though a generally loved episode, as it heals the bridge between Pearl and Greg, at least some point out that it seems to follow a similar plot to most Pearl related episodes. Particularly in that Pearl acts in a disruptive way only for the others to make her feel better. With some even wondering exactly what foreshadowing was supposed to exist (as its not seen before hand or afterwards) that Greg on some level felt bad for "stealing" Rose from Pearl. It's yet again an episode all about Pearl with a completely un-hinted reason from Greg to make it seem like the two had ongoing issues with one another, when it was all Pearl. So we should feel happy they've mended bridges.
