* FridgeHorror: With TheReveal that the Think Tank hired the Hazari to hunt ''Voyager'' and then conveniently showed up to save the day, one has to wonder how many other problems they solved were created for the purpose of EngineeredHeroics.

* HilariousInHindsight: Guest Jason Alexander tries to recruit Seven for the Think Tank...in an episode of ''Series/{{Seinfeld}}'' called "The Seven" his character George Costanza tries to convince everyone that 'Seven' is the perfect name for a girl.
* UnintentionallySympathetic: The teaser is supposed to paint the titular group as ruthless for threatening to withdraw their aid to an unnamed race that tries to plead poverty instead of paying up. However, it comes off as the race trying to scam them by swapping out a rock instead of paying the previously negotiated price and getting caught. It doesn't help that the first two things the representative tells them (claiming the ore they promised was destroyed, overstating the value of the geode he's offering) are blatant lies that he gets called on.
** Except that they need the ore to power the replicators that will feed their people (remember the entire planet is a disaster zone) and the geode he's offering is the only one on the entire planet. It's rejected only because such a geode isn't unique (presumably because it's available on other planets) which is what the Think Tank value. Of course, the source for these "facts" is the same guy who had just got called on lying twice...

* FridgeBrilliance: The obvious solution the Think Tank should have offered Janeway was a quick way back to the Delta Quadrant. Why go to the trouble of using the Hazari in the first place? Presumably the Think Tank have studied the past behaviour of the Voyager crew, and know they would never sell Seven for a quick way home, but are entirely familiar with the ideals of HeroicSacrifice.

* UnintentionallySympathetic: The teaser is supposed to paint the titular group as ruthless for threatening to withdraw their aid to an unnamed race that tries to plead poverty instead of paying up. However, it comes off as the race trying to scam them by swapping out a worthless rock instead of paying the previously negotiated price and getting caught.
** Except the rock wasn't worthless. Kurros admits it's valuable; it's just not what the Think Tank was after.
