** Captain Zaheva's log entry is meant to be a creepy ApocalypticLog showing her descent into madness, but between the fact that we don't see her before she started losing her mind, and her actress hamming it up to ridiculous levels, the end result is far more comical than it is scary.

* SpecialEffectsFailure: The entirely unconvincing shrinking turbolift. Which is embarrassingly obviously just the camera zooming in, and Stewart sitting down.

** The ''Brattain'' has its name misspelled as "''Brittain''" on the model shots, despite the bridge set and Captain Zaheva's log both making it clear what the ship's correct name is meant to be.

Never Live It Down applies to character's only.

* NeverLiveItDown: "Night Terrors" is a pretty tense episode with a chilling concept (everyone going insane), helped by Ron Jones's spookiest work... but all that tends to get brought up is the Flying Troi Scenes.

** Troi's recurring nightmare makes for a legitimately creepy and atmospheric scene... Until she starts flying that is; not only is the effect itself rather convincing, it also invites at least a dozen ''Literature/PeterPan'' references.

* {{Narm}}: [[RealityIsUnrealistic As unbelievable as it might sound]], the loss of REM sleep leading to SanitySlippage and eventual death is in fact 100% scientifically accurate. Unfortunately, this fact is delivered in goofy-sounding lines such as "We have to dream in order to survive," meaning that it can come across as the show playing fast-and-loose with science once again.
