* LoveItOrHateIt: Pretty much what the reboot boils down to.

* NeedsMoreLove: The 2010 remake. The game is not a perfect masterpiece, but it's also far from being as terrible as critics blasted it out to be. The game has a solid pacing (once you get past the initially sucky tutorials), a good load of narrative compared to originals, plus the voice-overs are top-notch ([[Creator/JimCummings Fuzzy]] [[WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls Lumpkins]] is the Terror Mask for crying out loud). You can tell Namco put their hearts into it and made the game a big love letter to long-time fans of the series.

* ThatOneBoss: Biggy Man of the original game. Most people won't fault you for saving both shotguns in his stage for the boss fight.

* CompleteMonster: Dr. West in the remake. He tortured ''many'' poor, unsuspecting, and innocent people to call forth the Corrupted (one on the honophones mentioned [[AndIMustScream he also sewn his victims mouths shut or cut out their vocal cords]]). The worst part: [[spoiler:[[TheBadGuyWins he succeeded in using Jennifer]], and [[DemonicPossession the Corrupted has taken over her]]]].

* CrossesTheLineTwice: The remake's {{Gorn}} is gleefully lampshaded by the Terror Mask, one quote in particular (paraphrasing):
