Spelling/grammar fix(es)

* ToughActToFollow: Despite some issues like Thomas's and Sir Topham Hatt's characterization, This special is largely considered to be one of, if not the best, Thomas specials. Its successor, ''The Great Race'', is highly divisive. While ''Journey Beyond Sodor'', despite being considered and improvement over ''The Great Race'', is still somewhat divisive.
* UnexpectedCharacter: Fans were very pleasantly surprised to find out that Mike, Rex and Bert were making their debut in this film, given how the show stopped adapting ''Literature/TheRailwaySeries'' after its fourth season.

Never Live It Down means "fans think a character does something all the time when they only did it once", not "fans will never forgive a character for this one scene".

* NeverLiveItDown:
** To the fans that sided against Thomas, his remorse over nearly getting Ryan killed as well as him trying to stop Sailor John didn't redeem him for his NeverMyFault attitude during the first half of the movie.
** To the fans that sided with Thomas against Sir Topham Hatt, him praising Thomas for stopping Sailor John wasn't enough to redeem him for punishing Thomas after the dynamite scene even though he didn't realize that Thomas had tried to save Ryan.

** Sir Topham Hatt's [[JerkassBall attitude]] towards Thomas in this special. Some fans hated Sir Topham due to how harsh he was to Thomas, ''especially'' in the controversial dynamite scene due to Thomas [[UngratefulBastard not getting any praise from Sir Topham for saving everybody's lives]]. Others felt that [[JerkassHasAPoint Topham's attitude was entirely justified]], since Thomas ''was'' quite reckless, petty and [[NeverMyFault dishonest]], viewing the tank engine as UnintentionallyUnsympathetic as a result. And then [[TakeAThirdOption there are some viewers]] [[BothSidesHaveAPoint who see both characters' points]], pointing out that Sir Topham was doing his job but still [[UsefulNotes/VictimBlaming blamed]] Thomas even though he managed to save everyone from getting blown up.
