After the entire episode showed nothing but a fairly down-to-Earth story about a group of girls studying to become stars in a musical theater troupe, we are suddenly treated to a high-speed battle between three of those girls, who somehow manage to keep singing and dancing while fighting, overseen by a talking giraffe and located in an underground stage that is accessed by a secret elevator and contains within it ''a replica of the Tokyo Tower''. It is rather telling that the anime draw many comparisons to ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena'', one of the most famous examples of this trope in anime.
