* EvilIsSexy: Kurara Tendo, a.k.a. The Sparrow Woman, has a beautiful design due to her sultry black and red kimono dress, cute face and blonde hair. However, she is Tsukikage members' greatest foe as she is one of the higher-ups of an organization known as Moryo that operates on Sorasaki City, a BadBoss towards her subordinates--she does not hesitate to punish them when they fail her-- and tries to brainwash people on a global scale so that she can rule them easily.

They Wasted A Perfectly Good Plot is about plotines that get insufficiently developed or improperly explored. It's not a platform to complain about the direction a plotline took. Right from the beginning, the titular spice is treated as little more than a plot device and the show gave viewers to think of the spice as anything else.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Ultimately, the series is an utterly unremarkable, middle-of-the-road Franchise/SuperSentai-grade action series about a band of heroes fighting a NebulousEvilOrganization, and all its more unique worldbuilding elements (like the titular spice) are just for flavor and have no real bearing on the plot at all.

* CompleteMonster: Kurara Tendō, aka Sparrow Woman, is a high-ranking member of the Moryo organization and the Tsukikage's most personal foe. Introduced tortuously experimenting on her own subordinates with a pain-inducing drug, Tendō is revealed to have masterminded a drug-smuggling ring and a brothel that kidnaps and forces women to serve as prostitutes. As she aims to take down Tsukikage, Tendō ruthlessly mutates and uses her followers as suicide bombers, killing conspirators who object to her callous plans or fail her. Brainwashing the population of a city district, Tendō aims for it to fall into anarchy as her drugs make the people insanely violent. In the past, it is revealed that Tendō had traumatized one of the Tsukikage members, Yuki Hanzomon, by killing her mentor and scarring her eye. While trying to escape capture from the Tsukikage, Tendō again torments Yuki by cutting her, forcing Yuki's pupil to watch. Planning to take her brainwashing program to a global scale with "Project Gekkako", Tendō intends to reduce the entire world to a mess of violent, unstable people, just for her own evil experiments.

There are three criteria for a scene to be a Big Lipped Alligator Moment: It appears out of nowhere; it's strange in context; and it's never referenced later. This scene only fits the first one. It makes sense in the context of the anime for those two to fight, and the scene leads to Hatsume taking Theresia to the hospital and discovering the explosive in her body.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: The opening of episode 8. For reasons never explained, it opens on Hatsume fighting Therisa, who is in her underwear for some reason, in an abandoned warehouse. The lead-up and context is never elaborated on.
