* SignatureScene: The Arle vs Incubus cutscene, where Incubus tries to hit on Arle by asking her sign and Arle flatly replies "Octagon. As in stop." is ''the'' scene that international fans bring up when it comes to this game.
* SoOkayItsAverage: The game was quickly thrown together and it shows. It's not bad, but there's little reason [[EnjoyTheStorySkipTheGame beyond the cutscenes]] to bother with this entry over almost any other ''Puyo Puyo'' game. Even just looking at the Game Boy Advance entries, ''VideoGame/PuyoPuyoFever'' is a more ambitious port, while ''Haro no Puyo Puyo'' plays worse but at least has the novelty of the ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam'' license.
