* MagnificentBastard: Jack himself lives up to the legend of being the Devil's champion. Formerly a trickster and conman when he was human, Jack became infamous for being able to deceive The Devil himself multiple times. Being chosen as The Devil's champion to stop The Wizard, Jack showcases a remarkable prowess with adjusting to his body and dealing with the hordes of monsters that impede his journey. Travelling through an abondoned mine in the mountains, Jack show's his nimbleness to dodge the hazards and resourcefulness by using the minecarts to help him travel up towards the peak. Venturing through an ancient forest, Jack shows a pragmatic side to him by helping the Merchant gather resources for his wife, for the reward of possible knowledge on defeating the wizard. Jack then faces a horde of both monsters and humans navigating in a sieged city. After Jack aids Hell's architect to release the Seven Sins to gain access to the Wizard's domain. After defeating the Wizard, Jack claims the Amulet of Embers and uses it to become a god and freely roam the planet with no limitations for his desires.

* SpiritualSuccessor: To VideoGame/MediEvil; 3D s platformer about a man brought back to life in a cartoonish, cel-shaded StandardFantasySetting infested with monsters with his mission to kill a wizard. Health comes in the form of a green potion, their soundtracks are similar and the protagonist's reward is safe passage into the afterlife. The only meaningful difference between them is that while Sir Daniel is a genuinely noble hero out to save mankind, Jack is a JerkWithTheHeartOfAJerk who's mission will doom it.

* EsotericHappyEnding: Stingy Jack kills The Wizard and thus dooms mankind to suffer under the attack of the Devil's monstrous hordes. With his "pure human spirit", Jack is able to unlock the Amulet of Final Ember and become a PhysicalGod, free to roam the Earth "and powerful enough to destroy it." And they all lived happily never after.
