** [[FanNickname "Terroriser Spots"]] are either hilarious, boring, or annoying, depending on who you ask.
* FairForItsDay: Fans of the GMOD version generally admit that the game ''is'' fun, but it has a lot of [[GameBreakingBug annoying bugs]] that make it inferior to other versions.
* FanNickname: Extremely overpowered hiding spots using very small props are often referred to as [[LetsPlay/VanossGamingAndCompany "Terroriser Spots."]]
* ScrappyMechanic: The GMOD version is filled with this.
** Props can only face in one direction, and it's impossible to tell which way your prop is facing because your prop "moves" on your screen according to where your camera is facing. The other players do not see any of this; you could have a seemingly perfect spot, but then one of your teammates (or worse yet, a hunter) will tell you that you're facing the wrong way.
** The time limit. 4 1/2 minutes is so much more than enough time to explore an entire map. It's almost impossible to stump the hunters for the entirety of that time limit unless you find a [[FanNickname "Terroriser Spot"]] or if they get extremely distracted.
** The tendency for hunters to "trip" over objects and instantly die. It doesn't happen ''often,'' but it occurs enough to make the hunters ProperlyParanoid of the entire map, particularly objects on the ground.
** [[HitboxDissonance 1 hp props.]] Extremely tiny props are notorious for their bad hitboxes while moving, leading to hunters blowing tons of ammo and time to kill them. It doesn't help that the prop can be clearly shot and outright bleed while moving, but it still doesn't disappear. It's like there's a RandomNumberGod that decides if the prop will die.
