As shallow and cruel as she was to Meowth (and still is), she's clearly taken down a peg when Hollywood falls into recession and her seemingly coddling owner ditches her to fend for themselves. While Meowth's fate at least offered plenty ThrowTheDogABone moments in the long run, Meowzie is left a yearning unremarkable stray, just as she had mocked Meowth for being before. Poetic but sad all the same.
