* BrokenBase: Many readers were up in arms after Shirou [[spoiler:defeats and kills Lancer on his own.]] This completely shattered suspension of disbelief for many, given how it's even stated in-canon that he would lose badly to any Servant that wasn't Gilgamesh in one-on-one combat. This is especially grievous given that [[spoiler:Cú Chulainn is considered a hero among heroes on par with Heracles who easily kicked Archer's ass in the original ''Fate/stay night''.]]

Outside of a specific {{Reveal}} at the end of the arc, nothing actually relevant or interesting to the overall plot of the story happens. Readers might come to wish Shirou finally comes back to Fuyuki City where the rest of the cast is OutOfFocus. Even the author admitted to not being happy with how it turned out.

* AlasPoorVillain: Jin and Jun trying to writhe over to each other so that they may be TogetherInDeath when Caster moves in for the kill. [[TearJerker She then freezes them so they stay apart.]] [[spoiler:Luckily for them, [[BigDamnHeroes Waver manages to pull off a trope aversion.]]
