Uncanny Valley is IUEO now and the subjective version has been split; cleaning up misuse and ZCE in the process

* UncannyValley: In "Daddy", PSY dressed up as an old man, and PSY's head superimposed onto a child's body (especially when the "child" is born in the beginning).
** Before that, "Urbanite" in 2005 is full of this; it writes about stressful city life with workaholics going to work in a stressful workplace, in a ScienceFantasy ArtificialHuman format. In the end, the earthquake appears with road cracks, and more and more ArtificialHuman workforce coming up in a huge invasion. All of the MV sequences are also in black-and-white fashion with small exceptions.

* GatewaySeries: PSY played a role in helping popularize KPop in the West with "Gangnam Style": some of those who watched it for the meme then decided to check out other songs in the genre.

* AccidentalInnuendo: Even in his LighterAndSofter songs, PSY shamelessly parodies this trope.

* ToughActToFollow: After the insane success of "Gangnam Style", which broke multiple Website/YouTube view count records and went unsurpassed as most viewed Website/YouTube video for over 4 years, it was inevitable that it cast a shadow over any future songs he produced for a while.. * DarknessInducedAudienceApathy: The setting in "Urbanite" is EXTREMELY DARK that even PSY (at least in this music video, anyway) doesn't care about it. The monochrome rendering of the music video's setting made this even worse, the worst even by PSY's standards.

* HypeAversion: "Gangnam Style" was blown up to the moon and back in 2012, but oversaturated the internet causing people to get sick of it. It's tremendous popularity also caused some people to flat out avoid it.
* ItsPopularNowItSucks: Even though Psy's "Gangnam Style" has gained more views than Justin Bieber's "Baby", he's already seen as one of the reasons why music and people's tastes suck nowadays. Ironically, Psy himself has stated his intention to "retire" Gangnam Style, saying that it's "too popular" now.
