* GoodBadBugs: The Apprentice spell Inferno is a ritual spell that, following its completion, gives the Dragonborn access to Ember Bolt, a spell similar to Firebolt, but much stronger and with a low cost... for only 15 seconds until it expires. The very short duration makes the spell hard to really take advantage of. However, if you use Inferno, wait for it to expire, then change the spell in your left hand to something else, the spell in the right hand will remain Ember Bolt until you replace it with a different spell. You can't dual-cast it outside of the Inferno state, but even single-cast, it remains a bit of a DiscOneNuke, with damage output comparable to a dual-cast Firebolt but for a much lower cost.

[[AwesomeButImpractical The very short duration combined with a long cast time that leaves you a sitting duck makes the spell hard to really take advantage of. of.]] However, if you use Inferno, wait for it to expire, then change the spell in your left hand to something else, the spell in the right hand will remain Ember Bolt until you replace it with a different spell. You can't dual-cast it outside of the Inferno state, 15 seconds legitimately provided by Inferno, but even single-cast, it remains a bit of a DiscOneNuke, with damage output comparable to a dual-cast Firebolt but for a much lower cost.
