* HilariousInHindsight: It's premise is very similar to Series/OneHundredDeedsForEddieMcdowd, but of course, with cats instead of dogs.

Not YMMV

* ContrivedCoincidence: Junpei kicked an empty can down the street. The can lands in front of the statue then bounces upon landing in the opposite direction so that it hits the statue, and somehow the empty can hits the stone statue hard enough that it breaks. Either that statue was already broken and the can was all was needed to finish the job or the deity really wanted an excuse to punish Junpei.

* ViewerGenderConfusion: There is a bit of this with Nagi, who at first seems like a tall, boyish-looking girl, then is treated like a boy, and in the end turns out really being a girl.

* Woolseyism: Before the series was licensed, the subbing groups worked in their own functional Wooseysism. The small ShowWithinAShow at the end of every episode, Nyankoma ("nyan" being the Japanese onomatopoeia for "meow," and "koma" being Yonkoma a kind of comic strip), is Woolseyed into "MewView."

Crowning Moment of Heartwarming

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: Any scene between Junpei and Kaede, really. They really are just adorable together. Akari when she finally starts to make friends is a very heartwarming scene.
