He later held a group of children celebrating a birthday party hostage, and he threatened to [[WouldHurtAChild murder everyone]] in the room if he didn't receive his bride. He orders Jillian Zinman, the preteen protagonist of ''Bride...'', to be his bride, only to violently hit her when she refused. Slappy has attempted to murder several characters throughout the saga, one notable example when he tried to decapitate a young boy with a [[ShearMenace pair of garden shears]]. Sadistic, cruel, and disturbing, Slappy [[TheDreaded struck fear in the hearts of many]].
