Added DiffLines:

* {{Bowdlerization}}: A good number of song titles and lyrics/samples were censored when brought over to the games, namely the ones that feature a PrecisionFStrike.
** "Fuck the Rails" by The A.M.D.A. was renamed simply to "The Rails" in-game.
** "I'm a Fucking Idiot" by Music/VenetianSnares was changed to "I'm an Idiot."
** In the club mix of "Nobody Likes The Records" by Sample Rippers, the instance of ''"[[PrecisionFStrike Fuck you!]]"'' is replaced by a man saying ''"Africa!"''

** "I Think in a Minute or So I'll Explode" by [[Music/TheFlashbulb The Flashbulb]], is technically correct, however the version used in Mungyodance is more accurately a mashup of that song and "Ninedump" (also from the same artist), but it's simply labeled as the former song in-game with no mention of the mashup elements.

** Please II on the highest difficulty is a relatively challenging, but fair chart for the most part until after the BPM slowdown, where you get hit with a relentless stream of 16th note crossovers at 200 BPM.[[note]](A crossover is a DDR term that refers to moving a foot across the center of the dancepad sideways to the arrow on the other end)[[/note]]

** Final Destination is stamina incarnate for the series. Brutally fast tempo with tiring 16th note patterns that don't let up until the very end of the song.

* SpiritualSuccessor: Shortly before the release of [=MGD3=], Renard announced plans for "5 Step Adventure", a ''VideoGame/PumpItUp'' clone with ''VideoGame/PopNMusic''-like style characters and artwork, and a quest mode using Extra Mode-styled scripts. It unfortunately got cancelled.

* ThatOneLevel:
** M.A.G.I.C. Speed Ball from the first game, in addition to the numerous awkward step patterns, has a gradual tempo increase that gets so fast it's almost physically impossible to combo without missing.
** The Dash Hopes trilogy of songs, while ultimately made as joke songs, can be considered this because of their borderline abusive use of unbroken 16th note patterns at ludicrously high tempos.

Added YMMV page and Misattributed Song. This trope is the closest I could find for songs with incorrect titles. If there is a better trope to associate the following entries with, then by all means feel free to correct it.

Added DiffLines:

* MisattributedSong: There's some songs across from the games that, for whatever reason, have inaccurate, or flat out incorrect song titles for charts listed in-game.
