Misplaced. Fixed it.

** Also, some had wished Shadow Moth had also Amokitized Sabine, as it would've been really interesting to see a how Sentimonster born out of anger towards racism would act.

* RealismInducedHorror: Shadow Moth, as fearsome as he is, is ultimately a fantasy villain who's at least [[LargeHam hammy and fun to watch in action]]. The nameless ticket inspector, however, is quietly terrifying because there always have been--and always will be--people like him in real life: assholes who gleefully abuse any authority they are given to make people's lives miserable. That fact alone makes the ticket inspector just as horrifying to watch as the show's actual BigBad, if not ''more''.

About unused not poorly used plots.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: An episode about racism isn't a bad idea in theory, but the fact that the episode itself not only never points it out, but then ends with [[EsotericHappyEnding the actual racist culprit walking away while the daughter of the victim takes responsibility]] make some people feel the episode left a lot to be desired.

* IdiotPlot: All the trouble could have been avoided if anyone just asked the bus driver. He could have confirmed Sabine's story.

Misuse.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter:
** While people were happy to see Lila as a member of Sabine's painting course, a chance to have at least a small interaction between them is wasted.
** While some people like the fact that Roger Raincomprix got some focus since season 1, there are some who feel like he could've been replaced with a generic cop character and nothing would really change: not only does the fact he knows Sabine not get brought up once, but once she becomes Qilin, he acts more selfish and callous than usual, making him come across as out of character.

Not YMMV

* RealitySubtext: While this episode ends on a lighter note with everyone making up, the events leading up to Sabine's arrest are similar to what happens to lots of real-life minorities on a daily basis, particularly the inspector's reaction to her reaching for her purse. This episode is especially prevalent as Anti-Asian prejudice and hate crimes are on the rise due to the situation with COVID-19.

* UnfortunateImplications: Some fans found the ending of the episode to be [[https://sidsinning.tumblr.com/post/676001116091269120/you-would-never-catch-me-apologizing-to-racist incredibly insulting]] and [[https://jacquesthepigeon.tumblr.com/post/676016476126380032/theres-something-to-be-said-about-how-the-show#notes undermining of the message]] it was trying to convey, especially in light of the rising awareness of police brutality upon minorities. As an episode that held strong implications of racial profiling, which initially and rightfully criticized the cops for wrongfully arresting an innocent immigrant woman, the fact that Marinette, a bi-racial teenager, chose to take responsibility for the incident as if the fault lies within her and not the improper actions of the authorities really did not go over well with some fans. Especially those who were POC and had seen or been through such incidences.
